The wait was worth it, I tried their fruit pancakes and the salmon and cheese pancakes and I have to say it was a spectacle, well done!

We came to this café based on the many good reviews, but unfortunately, we couldn't rely on them. The woman who took our order was very young, a bit disorganized, and had to ask us several times what we wanted, even though we had spoken clearly and slowly. When the food finally arrived an hour later (the place wasn't even that busy), my boyfriend's bread was completely different from what he had ordered, and there were SEVERAL!! blonde hairs in his guacamole on the bread and on the tomatoes. That's absolutely unacceptable, sorry! The bill also took a long time to arrive, and the older woman seemed a bit overwhelmed trying to prepare it. As a result, we paid much more than we actually ate and were given the wrong amount. Since the older woman was still very helpful and friendly, we paid the amount and left. However, we didn't receive a receipt. It's a real shame, because the staff is actually very friendly and helpful, but the whole process and hygiene were completely lacking... we unfortunately won't be coming back.

What an amazing find this place is! The staff is incredibly kind and the food is outstanding. Trust me and give it a try—it’s become a favorite spot close to home for us.

Well let me start this off by saying what an absolute gem of a place. Staff and service was great, but the food, wow oh wow. The pictures don't do it justice, it was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be back in the future. Freshly squeezed orange juice, delicious and my friend said the coffee was beautiful as well. Do not pass this up if you are staying in the area!

The food is great here! I can recommend Avocado Smash, Eggs Benedict and Crogue Madame - delicious. The worst was waiting for dinner (for us was too long).

We rolled up at 4:30 pm very hungry before heading to our train leaving Amsterdam and they still took us in. What a delight. The wait staff team made it feel like a family gathering. Very cozy setting, the most fluffy and delicious pancakes, fresh fruit, really did it.

Cooking was good but take forever, waitress rude and unpolite. Can’t recommend it. Also very expensive for not even have a sugar for the coffee.

I was released from hospital a few days earlier and am still fairly weak but I was happy to at least be able to take a small stroll through our neighourhood. While my husband bought some stuff at the supermarket next door I, getting predictably tired, sat down outside at Chantilly on Molukkenstraat 53 in Amsterdam , where at least 4 seats were unoccupied. A woman from Chantilly at Molukkenstraat 53 in Amsterdam approached me with a menu, after wihch I explained that I just wanted to sit down for a few minutes, waiting for my husband's return and be on my way. I was brutally sent away at Chantilly at Molukkenstraat 53 in Amsterdam, the woman yelling: "just want to sit down for a few minutes ? None of my bussiness, go away" "I pay 2000 euro's for this" (as if I am responsible for her utter inability to run a their bussiness Chantilly at Molukkenstraat 53 in Amsterdam). Do Not Go to Chantilly at Molukkenstraat 53 in Amsterdam, unless you want you want to be associated with the worst anti-social grifters. Blijf weg bij Chantilly aan de Molukkenstraat 53. Het vriendelijke image is schone schijn. Daarachter gaan schaamteloze geldwolven schuil zonder ook maar een greintje fatsoen. Wilt u hiermee worden geassocieerd ?

If you want pancakes for breakfast, this is the place for you! Our two pancakes were incredibly delicious and generously topped with fruit. 🍓🥞The orange juice was freshly squeezed. The two ladies at the café were also super warm and friendly! You can tell how much effort they put into everything and how much love they put into everything. The cute cat that wanders around there from time to time was also a little highlight. ❤️☺️

WOW. Amazing food. The meals took some time to come out due to everything being made to perfection. The iced coffees and smoothies were very fresh. All of our food was very fresh and the women running the cafe were delightful

Discovered this gem by chance. The American pancakes are fluffy and you get a large portion of fresh fruit with it. They also have a healthy(er) variant with chia seeds. Recommended!

There's so much to love about this place (and it really is the type of place you fall in love with). First, the decor is quirky and fun, but also cozy and homey. Second, the staff is warm and friendly; they make you feel like you're eating at their home. And finally, the food is not only delicious, but prepared with tremendous care and attention to detail. It's so well-presented that you almost feel bad about ruining it with your fork, but then you taste it and you're so glad you did. Awesome people, great food, it's a neighborhood treasure. I can't recommend enough.

Croque madame and croque monsieur are MUST TRIES! The service could’ve been slightly faster but it was compensated for more than enough by the food.

Walked past it 100 times because I thought they only had sweet stuff. It turns out that you can have a delicious lunch here for a reasonable price (by today's standards). An Old Amsterdam sandwich turns into a party and the pumpkin soup was the tastiest I have ever had. Nicely diverse crowd. Recommended

Very good breakfast restaurant and Cafe . We went there with our family, it is a small but funny location with a cool and original atmosphere! At first it looks a bit simple, but the food is very delicious, drinks are made with spices, very modern style. Coffee you’ll be made fresh but comes out of machine and tastes good anyway. I love it, because quality is very good, and it is different to the bad service locations in the middle of the city. Good choice!

Shortage of staffing is immediately clear upon walking into this establishment. Although you are greeted by friendly faces, they seemed overwhelmed and sweaty. Look, the food was great, but we waited almost 90 minutes for our meals. Perhaps it’s a biased perspective because we are eating during holidays and peak hours, but that is my honest look at things.

Very nice cafe with a good atmosphere and nice owners. We did wait a very long time for our food, after which I thought the avocado smash was a bit poor and not filling enough for a lunch. Other dishes were very good. Overall not dissatisfied, but not recommended if you are with a large group.

Nice place, with a warm grandma-style atmosphere. The service is a bit chaotic. Slow and they made some mistakes with the order of the table close to ours and ours too: we asked for salmon pancake and we got the American ones, when asked they just brought us the salmon on a side..but it's still a different dish😅 Food is maybe more beautiful than great in taste. Pancakes were delicious. One of our cherries had mold..of course it can just be bad luck, but I'd recommend having more eye for these details before serving the plate. Avoid the cappuccino and the coffee, they are really bad: bad taste and watery.

A brunch to die for! The best thing I've done in my life so far! The multitude and diversity of dishes on the menu is incredible, the quality of the dishes is just perfect and the staff is so pleasant! And the portions are so generous! If we come back to Amsterdam we will definitely go back! A real delight 😍😍😍

Food was very tasty, but only after almost 2 hours of waiting for 7 people at medium capacity, and no information or apology from the staff. Maybe good as the only guests.

Food was good, but we had to wait 1 hour 30 for the food to arrive and another half an hour before we were even asked what we wanted. The service wasn't particularly friendly either. Only recommended if there are no other people in the store and you can get something to eat straight away

There were four of us there and we were very enthusiastic about the breakfast. The food was fresh and very tasty.

Food was nice. Nothing too special, but nice. Wait... dear lord the wait! We where warned it would be a while. But we waited for an hour. Staff where rude, talking bad about other staff, talking bad about customers (probably assuming nobody there spoke Dutch) Old ladies both where grumpy. Old grey hair lady was coughing, not covering herself. Drying dished with the same tea towel over and over. Would not go there again, and would not recommend it to anyone. Sorry, but staff needs to step up for this to gain more starrs from me.

The Cafe is a small and the interior is a mix of candy cotton and lovely grandma. They have a wide variety of pancakes and cakes. Just make sure to bring a lot of time. The service is very unorganized and when it’s crowded it feels like they are overwhelmed and don’t know where to start and start doing everything but nothing.There is also Lieferando delivery and it feels like the kitchen is simply to small to serve the guest in store AND delivery. We waited over 45minutes and then asked if they know how much longer it takes and they told us they didn’t even start. They were very unfriendly and didn’t apologized. Will never come again. So sad.

Unassuming place for pancakes, conveniently located in Javaplein, a bit difficult to spot from the street. The ladies serving you are great and helpful and the atmosphere feels like a friend's kitchen. Big portions, feel free to share with a friend or not, and great prices
