I was determined to get a dutch pancake before leaving AMS, and this restaurant did not disappoint! I was met with an amazing atmosphere, kindness, and the most delicious pancake with banana and whipped cream. I highly recommend this space for anyone who is looking for a cheerful and tasty morning.

We had strawberry lemonade, pineapple lemonade, the seafood trio, and the bread with herbed butter to start. My husband had the slavinken and I had the oven baked salmon. The mashed potatoes were fantastic, the meats were awesome. We loved everything and the woman who owned it was very kind and hospitable. Highly recommend.

I knew when we walked in that this was a special restaurant! It lives up to its cosy namesake, and the service is warm and welcoming. We had the dutch tasting platter and it was perfect for two people. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was delicate and crispy without being burnt, and the poffertjes were amazing by themselves but even better with banana and syrup! This was our first meal in Amsterdam and it was a happy introduction to an amazing city ❤️

Service is slow considering there was one individual handling everything. Had to wait around 15min each for menus, ordering, and check—food took 20min. Food was good, though the omelet was slightly overcooked.

Excellent place! Very good food, prices were affordable, the owner (i think it was him) super friendly. And the waitress was super nice, fast, kind, efficient. Honestly, I loved this place and I will come back surely each time I visit Amsterdam. And as a tip, try their meatballs and maybe a shot at the end of a Dutch licor they have called I think geneveer. 5 stars place!

First proper Dutch restaurant we went to, the food was absolutely delicious, paid for the 3 course meal which was an actual bargain but we were full after starter and main, happily paid the full price though!! I'll be coming back here for pancakes as they also look delicious. Lovely waitress with a great energetic attitude too

A very gentle and friendly service this morning for the breakfast.

Would greatly recommend for any tourist looking to experience the local food. The place was in a very central place and is very convenient next to the Van Gogh Muesuem. The food was wonderful and really well made, we were worried since other nearby restaurants didn't make the local food look all too well but this place really changed our mind. The service was by far the best part, the servers were very nice and polite.

Great little place to get breakfast early in the morning before heading to the Rijksmuseum. One of the few that open at 8am! Ordered the Mandys breakfast platter. Didn't capture the scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and baguette in the picture! 😂😂

A restaurant that's almost invisible between two others, we were hesitant to enter given the few people. But we did well to dare to enter! The waitresses are adorable, the dishes comforting and very tasty. Special mention to the poffertjes, simply delicious!

He comido aquí varias veces y he probado casi todo en su menú – cada plato es un verdadero placer. Su menú degustación es una brillante introducción a la cocina Holandesa, que le permite probar una maravillosa variedad de sabores locales. Como alguien que ama la buena comida, me impresionó seriamente los platos Holandeses genuinos que se ofrecen. El nuevo menú IT, con abundantes clásicos como Slavinken, suculento pastel de carne envuelto en tocino crujiente, servido con puré cremoso, salsa rica y verduras frescas. Cada bocado es puro consuelo. ¡Tampoco te pierdas sus sellos! Las albóndigas caseras son sabrosas y tiernas, combinadas con el puré perfecto. Mi favorita es la versión de endivia, pero el puré de chucrut con bayas de enebro, hoja de laurel y trozos de tocino crujiente es igual de increíble y único Holandés. Cuando IT trata de pescado, el salmón asado es uno de los mejores que he probado — cocinado por expertos, sin huesos y lleno de sabor. IT siempre se combina con su delicioso puré casero, lo que lo convierte en una deliciosa comida. Los postres son otro punto culminante: el trío Holandés combina Vlaflip, pastel de manzana y poffertjes para un sabor dulce de la tradición, y los gofres de jarabe con helado de canela no se pueden perder. What a fantastic place to eat!!! I can highly recommend eating here at Cosy The Dutch Kitchen Amsterdam as i have literally eaten nearly everything on the menu. The tasting menus a great idea to get a sample of the variety of Dutch flavours. Being a chef by trade i can honestly say the new menu with genuine Dutch lunch and dinner dishes is excellent, with ith tasty, hearty meals like the Slavinken which is two meatloafs wrapped in bacon served with mash gravy and veg which is very tasty and filling. The Stampots are also fantastic, home made tasty meatball dishes with either the endiive mash which i really like or the sauerkraut mash which is very Dutch and has juniper berries and bayleaf also plus the crispy bacon bits make it divine. The roast salmon is outstanding, no bones, cooked to perfection and full of flavour and served with the delicious homemade mash. When it comes to desserts they are all delicious the Dutch trio has the Vlaflip, apple pie and poffertjes a brilliant combination of traditional of the nations favourites. The syrup waffles with cinnamon ice cream is also a must. Not only is the food excellent and highly recommendable, the restaurant is Duthch themed, comfortable, stylish and relaxing, The service is friendly, swift and Mandy works diligently to make every meal experience the best for each and every customer. Cosy The Dutch Kitchen Amsterdam is a must for any trip to Amsterdam value for money and a great time.

Cosy by Mandy is one of the best cafe restaurants I have been to from the best greasy spoons to 5 star hotel breakfast buffets, the attention to detail for her customers sets her food above the rest. She serves an outstanding pancake breakfast which I had for lunch with strawberries and bacon with cream and Nutella which was delicious. I've eaten here twice today, earlier today I had a delicious smoked salmon, cream cheese and scrambled egg bagel. The food is so good and the staff are super professional. I actually met Mandy herself who spent time to chat which was a special bonus to a real treat.

Possible my favourite place I ate in Amsterdam! My husband and I came here for breakfast and ended up having a feast! The staff are so lovely they came out and spoke to us and gave us amazing suggestions for classic Dutch foods. I got the “a taste of Holland” course with the starter tasting board, meat balls for main, and stroopwafel for dessert. The meatballs with the endive in the mash potato genuinely changed my life. I absolutely loved it. If you get anything from here make it that! I also got a lovely little cup of coffee.

Cozy place with good and really friendly service. We had dinner and almost everyone chose the menu for 27.50€. The starter was a bit disappointing. Both the cheese, liverwurst and the sourdough tasted very ordinary like from the supermarket. The warm breaded/fried meat/cheese balls were delicious. You had to buy bread for it. The main course tasted ok but was also very ordinary. The mashed potatoes were almost not salted. The sauce tasted like it was bought. The dessert, on the other hand, was really really delicious!

Had a nice English breakfast circa November 2021, really tasty food and a nice place

My wife and I were looking for a cafe with authentic Dutch cuisine and classic breakfast food. We weren’t disappointed when we popped in here for breakfast. The owner and her staff were so nice and gave very helpful recommendations based on the flavour profile of each dish. I ended up getting a full English breakfast and my wife got the Dutch tasting platter. Everything was cooked so well, they struck the perfect balance between being too dry or drowned in sauce. There was no reliance on artificial seasoning to enhance the taste of the dish. Hands down would recommend!

This nice restaurant with a very kind woman as owner has just started with the dinner menu after many years dedicated to breakfast proposal. The result is nice (a typical Dutch menu for 27.50€ + beverages) and I think has also the possibility to enlarge and enhance the proposal growing and growing.

Great staff, food was so tasty, and location was amazing. Felt slept on given how small the front was compared to others in the area but it was so worth the stop!

What a place. I had breakfast here, enjoying Mandys platter. It was a sizable portion, just the way I like it. With a variety of quality food complemented with excellent service.

The staff was very friendly. And the food came out quickly. We came in for breakfast and started off slightly disappointed to hear that we could not get tap water and instead only had the option of paying for a bottle of water. The coffee was pretty good. We ordered the scrambled eggs and toast which was cooked nicely. The bread was very thin and everything, including cheese, was an up charge. We also ordered and omelet with cheese. This dish was less satisfactory as it was Average and not much special about it. Did not care for the decor, might be a good style for some. Felt a little cramped in the back, but to be expected based on the name of the restaurant.

I ordered a pancake with bacon and cheese and the bacon was very salty, I needed to drink a lot of water. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was nice and the host was welcoming and took my comment on the pancake when she asked about it. I don’t feel to give a low review, however I hope they could revise the list of ingredients and the prices

I don't know how it has such a good rating... I'm sorry but for me the food was not tasty at all... the pancake was tasteless, it was like eating dough, and for the price you pay you expect something better. The tortilla is the same, very thin and flavorless. A disappointment…

Best place ever! The owner is really kind and food was delicious, and it also came really quick! She was also fluent in english, which really helped. She was super enthusiastic and smiling the whole time. I really reccomend coming here and taking the hangover panini ;)

Lindo lugar, fui a desayunar y tomé un “panqueque holandés”. Es bueno que todo lo haga Mandy abajo, pero por esta razón tienes que esperar un poco antes de que esté listo. El precio era alto para una tortita, pero también las dimensiones eran grandes y logré terminarlo. Tenía poca batería y fueron tan amables y me dejaron cargar mi teléfono con su cargador.
