We were looking for somewhere to have breakfast before a visit to the Van Gogh museum on our last day in Amsterdam and came across Cosy on Google. Service was super friendly and our dutch pancakes with banana and nutella were so good.

This place was SO good! We stopped in after finding that a couple of popular poffertjes places weren’t open yet, and this spot turned out to be *perfect*. Service was cheerful and friendly, and both the pancakes and the poffertjes were absolutely delicious. Coffee was good too! It was a great way to wrap up our trip before heading to the airport. Next time I’m in Amsterdam, this will be my first breakfast stop.

Exceptionally good food! We had the homemade endive stampot and the schnitzel peppercorn. LARGE portions. Mashed potatoes were delicious! The restaurant is tiny but has a great atmosphere and super friendly staff. We are so glad The Pantry was full and we got to eat here!

July 2026: Excellent meatballs/mashed potatoes, we thoroughly enjoyed them! The waitress (French) was very professional and pleasant. Everything was great. Slightly pricey though.

Great visiting Cosy. The food was really traditional and delicious. We ordered schnitzel and meatballs wrapped with bacon. Both were awesome. We had poffertjies (I think you write it like that and are small pancakes) that were very tradicional and different. Bonus: the beer in the pictures is the best I have tried.

We truly enjoyed a fantastic breakfast with wonderful food and service. The coffee was also excellent. Definitely a great way to start the day.

Wow, the best place in Amsterdam!! We discovered it while walking. The food is delicious; we had breakfast and lunch there, and everything was spectacular. The service was great, the atmosphere was lovely, and the music was good! Typical Dutch food with incredible flavor!! I highly recommend it if you're in Amsterdam!! Thank you for everything; my two children and I were very happy having breakfast and lunch there.

We went to Cosy to try Dutch food for the first time, and we will definitely be back. Mady was a fantastic host, recommending and showing us what we would be eating and making the experience very welcoming. The food was fantastic; we tried the "A Taste of Holland" and it was magnificent. Highly recommended.

This place is perfect for tourists. It serves amazing traditional Dutch cuisine and the prices are definitely worth it. The hostess was extremely friendly and took the time to introduce the Dutch dishes to us. She also showed us the best way to enjoy them which made the experience even more special.

Over the weekend of May 8th to 10th, I went there to eat local food. I returned for the service and the quality. My wife and I had two meals there, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. A big thank you to Solene for her kindness and her smile.

We came because of the positive reviews, but the food disappointed us. The menu is very short and doesn't match what you see online or on TheFork. The only redeeming quality was the excellent service from the only waitress. The place has no atmosphere whatsoever. It's not worth the price. We won't be back.

This trend of Amsterdam restaurants only offering purchased beverages is tiring, I don’t want bottled water — the entire act of transporting bottled water is so destructive. The food was fine, I wouldn’t go out of my way to dine here again. The fondue for 2 was more of French style sharp/blue cheese than we expected which was disappointing, as we expected milder Dutch cheese.

There is nothing more to say than the food was deliciously good, the service was really pleasant and the restaurant itself is well maintained. Excellent !

Cosy the Dutch kitchen is aptly named. Very friendly/ sweet folks, food is cozy and it feels like I am eating at my aunt who cooks well at home. Perfect for a breakfast before going to the Rijksmuseum.

The owner was incredibly friendly, the selection wasn't huge but there was still something for everyone. The portion sizes were just right and everything was beautifully presented.

What a fantastic place to eat!!! I can highly recommend eating here at Cosy The Dutch Kitchen Amsterdam, not only is the food excellent, the staff are fast and friendly plus you can order food for collection now. I have literally eaten nearly everything on the menu. Fresh vegetarian dishes also made daily, along with other specials. The tasting menus a great idea to get a sample of the variety of Dutch flavours. Being a chef by trade i can honestly say the new menu with genuine Dutch lunch and dinner dishes is excellent, with ith tasty, hearty meals like the Slavinken which is two meatloafs wrapped in bacon served with mash gravy and veg which is very tasty and filling. Probably best to book the table as it gets very busy. The Stampots are also fantastic, home made tasty meatball dishes with either the endiive mash which i really like or the sauerkraut mash which is very Dutch and has juniper berries and bayleaf also plus the crispy bacon bits make it divine. The roast salmon is outstanding, no bones, cooked to perfection and full of flavour and served with the delicious homemade mash. When it comes to desserts they are all delicious the Dutch trio has the Vlaflip, apple pie and poffertjes a brilliant combination of traditional of the nations favourites. The syrup waffles with cinnamon ice cream is also a must. Not only is the food excellent and highly recommendable, the restaurant is Duthch themed, comfortable, stylish and relaxing, The service is friendly, swift and Mandy works diligently to make every meal experience the best for each and every customer. Cosy The Dutch Kitchen Amsterdam is a must for any trip to Amsterdam value for money and a great time.

Great place for a breakfast. The host is very funny. Prices are better than most other places in the central district. English breakfast was just as expected. Omelette was great.

Mandy was lovely! Super friendly and provided exceptional service. The food was delicious as well. We had the set menu which allowed us to have yummy local Dutch food at a reasonable price. The set included a starter, main and dessert. We ordered the sprout pie as well. It’s super delish and special!

Ok, this is a hard one to judge. Nice cosy place, very clean and welcoming. The service was superb and the owner was super friendly. Now the tricky part: the food itself (only judging the breakfast) was not great and not bad, something in the middle. Coffee was really good but the the dutch breakfast and the yogurt with fruits were really disappointing for the money. Would go back to try dinner and lunch, but for breakfast would choose other spots. Would give a 3.5. Nonetheless, we had a good time.

We went for breakfast, food is okay not exeptional, in my opinion a bit overpriced + if you come with several people they don’t let you split the bill at all has to be paid in full. The lady was super nice though ^^ !

Fantastic experience at this hotel! It's ideally located right in the center and the atmosphere is incredibly friendly; you immediately feel at ease. A major plus for the room: the bed is comfortable, perfect for switching off. But the real game changer is the breakfast. They offer an English or Dutch option, and I absolutely loved the Dutch version that I didn't even have time to try the other. It's so delicious and incredibly generous that you can completely skip lunch! A top-notch place for a stress-free stay.

I chose the "Taste of Holland" menu. The main course was very good (Dutch meatball). It was a very quiet evening, as we were the only table, but that was perfect (for us!). The service was also very friendly.

A cozy and excellent place for breakfast and traditional Dutch food. Mady's service is superb. We went as a family with two children for breakfast and have been back several times. A 10 out of 10! The only downside is that it's almost invisible from the street... you have to keep an eye out to find the entrance... but that's part of its charm.

We had breakfast here on New Year’s Day and it was a perfect start to the new year. We had a very cozy seat by the window on a very rainy day. We had the English breakfasts, the huge breakfast platter and the pancakes - all of them were really delicious. Service was superb too - made us feel at home!

I was determined to get a dutch pancake before leaving AMS, and this restaurant did not disappoint! I was met with an amazing atmosphere, kindness, and the most delicious pancake with banana and whipped cream. I highly recommend this space for anyone who is looking for a cheerful and tasty morning.

We had strawberry lemonade, pineapple lemonade, the seafood trio, and the bread with herbed butter to start. My husband had the slavinken and I had the oven baked salmon. The mashed potatoes were fantastic, the meats were awesome. We loved everything and the woman who owned it was very kind and hospitable. Highly recommend.

I knew when we walked in that this was a special restaurant! It lives up to its cosy namesake, and the service is warm and welcoming. We had the dutch tasting platter and it was perfect for two people. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was delicate and crispy without being burnt, and the poffertjes were amazing by themselves but even better with banana and syrup! This was our first meal in Amsterdam and it was a happy introduction to an amazing city ❤️

Service is slow considering there was one individual handling everything. Had to wait around 15min each for menus, ordering, and check—food took 20min. Food was good, though the omelet was slightly overcooked.

Excellent place! Very good food, prices were affordable, the owner (i think it was him) super friendly. And the waitress was super nice, fast, kind, efficient. Honestly, I loved this place and I will come back surely each time I visit Amsterdam. And as a tip, try their meatballs and maybe a shot at the end of a Dutch licor they have called I think geneveer. 5 stars place!

First proper Dutch restaurant we went to, the food was absolutely delicious, paid for the 3 course meal which was an actual bargain but we were full after starter and main, happily paid the full price though!! I'll be coming back here for pancakes as they also look delicious. Lovely waitress with a great energetic attitude too

A very gentle and friendly service this morning for the breakfast.

Would greatly recommend for any tourist looking to experience the local food. The place was in a very central place and is very convenient next to the Van Gogh Muesuem. The food was wonderful and really well made, we were worried since other nearby restaurants didn't make the local food look all too well but this place really changed our mind. The service was by far the best part, the servers were very nice and polite.

A restaurant that's almost invisible between two others, we were hesitant to enter given the few people. But we did well to dare to enter! The waitresses are adorable, the dishes comforting and very tasty. Special mention to the poffertjes, simply delicious!
