Beautiful, cozy restaurant in a unique location. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

The ambience of the place is lovely as is the service. Two of us ordered a sandwich each and they were both delicious and I found the portions were big. Our third friend ordered the “Spitskool” which looked delicious. A great place to come for lunch or even dinner, especially if you are vegetarian.

Very friendly staff. The menu is sufficiently varied and a little more special than a typical grilled cheese sandwich or healthy sandwich at a cafe. They pay a lot of attention to organic and healthy food. It's a shame the orange juice was from a can. It really didn't fit their concept. There's also a large garden with a nice playground for the kids. We will definitely be back.

Lovely atmosphere and delicious food

The café I walked into immediately gave me a warm feeling. The aroma of freshly ground coffee filled the air. I received my order quickly and with a friendly smile. The cappuccino was creamy yet strong, just the way I like it. The pastries tasted fresh and smooth. This café is highly recommended for coffee lovers.

Eating in the greenhouse was a wonderful experience. We opted for the three-course menu, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The dessert, which was vegan, was so delicious that we didn't even notice it.

I was introduced to Cafe Clementine thanks to a gift certificate, because, to be honest, I hadn't heard of it before. We had a delicious 5-course lunch; it looked beautiful, tasted fantastic, and the pairings were unique. The wines were lovely. A pleasant, relaxed, and light atmosphere. But above all, the staff were incredibly friendly. They were engaged and enthusiastic. In conversation, we discovered that the man who helped us had only been there for a month, but there was no telling. He knew exactly when to check in and spoke honestly and enthusiastically. We will definitely be back!

The sandwiches were amazing, and the apple crumble cake is also highly recommended. The service was super friendly and accommodating.

So fun and cozy, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We ordered the chef's menu and enjoyed delicious cocktail cocktails and wine recommendations. The atmosphere was super relaxed, with friendly service and a skilled chef who uses local ingredients and produce from their own vegetable garden. A wonderful Saturday morning! We were pleasantly surprised by the "Saturday Breakfast Club," which we hadn't known about beforehand. A super delicious breakfast and a great atmosphere!

Lots of wind even when you're inside

Waiting ten minutes for someone to finally help you, and then having to wait another fifteen minutes for your drinks, in an empty cafe, on a Saturday evening of all days, is really not what you expect.

Super tasty food, good service and the environment is still under development

It's always pleasant to sit here, but the food was way overcooked. Unfortunately, all four of us had to wait at least 45 minutes for our main course, and the starter had cilantro in it, which wasn't mentioned anywhere, so it wasn't to our liking. We'd always had a good meal here before, so we were surprised. We mentioned it, and they thanked us for the honest feedback, but didn't do anything about it. They do serve it beautifully, though, and it's a pleasant place to sit.

We were there around 4:30 p.m. and wanted something good and quick to eat. There's only a small selection at that time, so we had no choice but to order the usual fried fare (bitterballen, fries, etc.). The prices were okay, but the staff were rather grumpy. You probably have to go in the evening for a good meal.

Great for people with celiac disease!! We had the 4 course menu and everything was neatly made gluten free for me. I even got my own bread. Communicate well with the waitresses about allergens and dietary requirements. I am sensitive to cross contamination so my fries could not be prepared in the same pan with the rest. They did this very neatly in a separate pan. My entree was also served first on the same board as the gluten containing food. I didn't dare take that risk, so I immediately got a new one on a separate board. Very neat! Food and drinks were delicious. Communication was good. Wooden chairs were a bit uncomfortable, cushions would have been nice. You can get wet if it rains since you are in a greenhouse. I got a few drops on my head but they quickly closed the roof. I come by more often for dinner anyway. Completely happy! 😋

A gem in Barendrecht. Enjoy a delicious coffee or lunch in a greenhouse, where much of it comes from your own garden. Easily accessible from Rotterdam by bicycle and also by public transport (behind Barendrecht station). Now still in an “empty” area. In a while it will be surrounded by luxurious high-rise buildings (a la little C). The owners have already cleverly responded to this.

The food was good. Unfortunately, the service and operation are a lot less than a year ago. Mediocre reception. Had to wait several times for service. Had to ask the waiter to come to the table to take some orders. During the main course, several table members had empty glasses. This is not seen by the staff. Shame. I find the atmosphere of the greenhouse very original, the staff is friendly and the food and drinks are tasty and varied. I also like to come when events are organized such as the market or the square cinema.

Gisteren met een groep van 9 personen gegeten. Vast menu , shared dinining. Voorgerecht 3 gerechtjes , carpaccio op een cracker, half stronkje little gem met zeewier en een Klein blokje pompoen met garnering Als hoofdgerecht kreeg we twee schalen , 1 met groente, en een schaal met vlees/groente en Witte feta achtige kaas. Was veel te weinig voor 9 personen. De helft van het gezelschap heeft geen vlees op. Het nagerecht maakte wel veel goed. 5 kleine hapjes, bolletje ijs, merengue, Appel crumble, lemon curd met een koekje en een stukje taart. Voor ons niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

What a wonderful meal we had here. The chef had not been there long, but he creates true works of art with flavors that match perfectly. We come more often! The service is also very nice and willing to explain everything.

It is a great place to go with your friends, decorated in a simple greenhouse style, there is no parking problem, we were able to order despite not knowing the language, I would like to thank our waitress for her attention, the coffee and breakfast plate were great, I loved the cheeses. Went here for dinner on Saturday evening with a group of 5 people after hearing good things about it. This is a pop-up restaurant near Barendrecht station on the edge of an industrial estate. It is located in an old greenhouse and is tastefully decorated. We were received very warmly. The menu contains numerous dishes, including many vegetarian options. We chose to do shared dining and were surprised by the choices the waitress made. We asked her to surprise us and she handled it very well. The dishes were tasty and nicely prepared. They also have a wide choice of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks such as wine. In short, we thought it was a successful evening and will definitely return. Update October 19, 2024 Once again a delicious meal in a cozy setting. Nice staff too. The only thing to note is that the fries were forgotten and were served late and the cheese board was less good than the previous times, but that is also a matter of taste of course...

What a nice spot, hidden between the station and the (food) industrial estate is the tastiest food in Barendrecht. Cozy atmosphere and helpful and friendly employees. Recommended!

Super! We had a baby shower at Café Clementine. The environment alone is great. We opted for a lunch with sandwich, soup and salad. Healthy and delicious! There were a few miscommunications regarding the menu, but this was resolved quickly and everything else was well organised.

Ordered a glass of wine and a latte during the opening of the season. A real tragedy... There was a malfunction at the cash register. Waited more than half an hour, asked twice. And people who ordered at the bar were served earlier again and again. And then wait again to pay at the bar. The greenhouse is quite warm and with bright light when the sun shines. Nice place with potential but there is still a lot of work to be done...

What beautifully presented plates and a great location. With almost even more beautiful flavors together in the dishes. They are almost artificial flavor bombs. Complete enjoyment, for a reasonable price It's nice to be here, hospitality is also very nice here.

The friendliness of the staff couldn't be better, everything with a smile! You would like to be served like this everywhere, really girls: hold on to this! We were here in rainy weather and sat inside. Personally, I found the greenhouse inside quite lacking in atmosphere and the chairs were worthless. But then the food. When it was already served I thought “huh where is the fish”?? Sincerely: a really tiny piece of (dorade) fish under some fried pieces/twigs of vegetables. When we were asked after checkout whether everything was satisfactory, we indicated that the price was not in balance with the minimum piece of fish. Unfortunately, nothing was done or responded to at all. And that's a shame because I would have come back for the nice ladies, but not for the food. The photos on the website do not reflect reality. So unfortunately not worth repeating...

Delicious food, different than usual.

My recent experience at Café Clementine was unfortunately disappointing. Upon entering it seemed like a cozy place for lunch, but that image quickly changed. What was particularly striking was the lack of hygiene in the kitchen. The cook, who was visibly working in the open kitchen, was constantly licking his fingers while preparing sandwiches. This made me feel uneasy about the hygienic standards of the restaurant. While I understand that kitchen workers have to eat too, I found it unprofessional and distasteful to see the chef bringing leftover food from the preparation to his mouth with his hands. The chef's behavior made it impossible for me to enjoy my lunch anymore. Hygiene should be a top priority in any kitchen, and unfortunately that wasn't the case here. For me this is a reason not to return to Clementine. Hopefully more attention will be paid to the basics of hygiene in this restaurant in the future.

We had a delicious lunch. The ‘lunch @ Clemetine’ and the sandwiches ‘Le Club’ were very good in taste. Especially with the fresh products used. Due to the very good weather, the terrace was open. The advantage is that they are easily accessible. Large car park and a 2-minute walk from Barendrecht NS railway station.

We went here for dinner with our family because it was my daughter's birthday and she always wanted to go here. We were pleasantly surprised. We all thought the food was delicious, the service was super nice and the atmosphere was also good.

A wonderful surprise. Drink a coffee off the highway and discover this oasis of peace and inspiration. Very tasty coffee, fairy cakes and a nice menu with wonderful combinations and inspirations on it. Even something as simple as the ultra-crispy sweet potatoes with aioli was legendary.

Nice meal. Surprise menu is definitely worth it. You wouldn't expect a surprising environment in this industrial area. Excellent service, friendly and very informative. As a result, we were still fairly empty early and the atmosphere was not there yet. Much better later when it was reasonably full. The downside was the method of payment. Confronting someone with whether or not to "tip off" is very confrontational and in my opinion inappropriate.

We were kindly received and were allowed to choose a spot ourselves. Staff immediately came to offer us some drinks and tell us about the menu. It's nice that there are still people who work passionately in the catering industry. The food was delicious! Pita with egg and chicken. The only downside was that they were slices of chicken fillet. Tuna toast was a thick slice of bread with tuna salad. Also delicious! We will definitely come back here again!

Had a wonderful dinner here with my husband last Saturday evening. We had the chef's 5 course menu and matching wine pairing. All dishes were top notch + a delicious appetizer beforehand. The wines were excellent, all with a short professional explanation, and matched perfectly with the beautifully presented plates of food. All in all a perfect experience, definitely recommended, we would love to come again!!

A nice experience in a beautiful, accessible location. It doesn't feel like you're in an industrial estate. The food was good for us, but we still missed the 'wow factor'. The food is beautifully presented and all looks very tasty and good. The lamb was very well prepared and very tasty. The starters were fine. Unfortunately the desserts were disappointing. At the beginning we were helped quickly, but during the time we were there we always had to wait a very long time before we were helped. At the beginning I was given the wrong drink and after saying this, it was resolved nicely and it arrived. right drink. The service was very friendly. All in all a great evening and something different, but unfortunately we didn't have the 'wow' factor.

Fin lokale, hyggelig betjening, alt er liksom i orden men det smaker ikke særlig - det virker som de har brukt flotte ingredienser, men etter de da har laget til maten og en forventer litt av en smaksopplevelse så kommer skuffelsen. En entre av citrongress og kokos, smaker ikke kokos i det hele tatt og kun litt tamt citrongress. Forrett m/humus: smakløs humus, hvordan…. Hovedrett m Iberico-svinekjøtt, greie grønnsaker men hvor blir smaken og kjøttet var også greit men ikke egentlig godt. Synd fordi prisene og settingen lover liksom at det er en ganske ambisiøs kokk! Håper at litt prøvesmaking kan øke nivået, for meg var dette ikke tilfredstillende, beklager!

What a nice and special place! Fresh ingredients, delicious dishes, anti-waste, very easily accessible by train and private transport and incredibly friendly staff. Was the first time here, but definitely not the last :)

Excellent food. Small portions, with relatively high prices. Friendly service. Location in an old greenhouse gives a noisy environment and therefore one star less for the whole.

Spontaneously had dinner here on a weekday evening. We opted for the 4-course surprise menu and were certainly not disappointed! Very tasty and colorful dishes that were presented with great attention on beautiful tableware. If I had been home I would have licked my plate. Delicious! Friendly and attentive service. Will come back soon when the weather is better so we can enjoy the terrace surrounded by greenery. Recommended!

Surprisingly nice restaurant. The food was very tasty and looks really good, but the portions of some dishes were very small. The service was friendly, but unfortunately slow. It was not busy, but it still took a very long time (especially with dessert) before we could order and it also took a very long time before it was served.

Unfortunately, I went home disappointed on Friday evening, April 5, after having a bite to eat with a friend at Cafe Clementine. We were helped by a young lady, who didn't really keep an eye on the table and often made us wait. It was immediately noticeable that the menu did not match that of the site. That's not a problem, but if you also increase the prices of the dishes that remain, it is useful to adjust them. I ordered a p-star martini. This turned out not to be fresh but from a can. Since the price was €12, I expected a freshly prepared cocktail with a glass of prosecco. The cocktail was sickly sweet and did not match what a freshly prepared p-star martini tastes like, I diluted it with water.. We ordered foccacia bread, salmon ceviche, beef teriyaki (this was really delicious!), and the prawns. The prawns (€19.50) were served in a deep bowl, filled with a layer of watery sauce and a lot of vegetables. The taste was fine, but there were only 3 prawns in it. For that price I thought it was quite poor. The waitress came by to clear the table and asked if everything was okay. So I indicated that I thought it was a shame that there were only 3 prawns in it for that price. I didn't ask for compensation or extra prawns. She went to pass it to the kitchen and walked away without our plates. She came back and said that we would get extra prawns (plural), which I thought was nice. After a while she came back with a plate on which 1 unseasoned prawn lay on a strip of orange sauce. I find this very strange, since we are 2 people and you indicate and insinuate that some more prawns are being made. Were we expected to cut this in half and share it? It almost seems like a joke from the kitchen because we said something about it. I paid 102 euros for 4 dishes with small portions, 3 drinks and a carafe of water. I often go out for dinner and pay with 2 people for a tasty starter, main course and dessert with drinks, the same price or less... The decoration is nice, the restaurant itself is nice and so is the idea behind it. But the staff and the way everything went is a shame.

Simple, honest food. Tasteful combinations and colorful layout. The service is friendly, but the entrance was a bit difficult. We had made a reservation for 4 people at 8:30 PM. They had visibly forgotten this. The first thing they said is that the kitchen closes at 9pm. For such a stylish concept, price range and attractive location, you can expect a little more hospitality upon arrival. That comment made me feel like we had to hurry. Furthermore, the evening went well and we enjoyed the dinner, the mocktails and the ambiance.

Ate at Clementine for the first time and ordered vegan for the first time (for me) because of a 4-month vegan plan due to my health. We had a meal and were surprised. And we were surprised in a positive way. We both had a good time. Also the meat eater in front of me. Big compliment, also for the pleasant welcome and service. We will be spotted there more often!!
