One of my favorite places to get coffee and work in Utrecht! Good coffee, friendly staff, nice atmosphere.

Super relaxed café with delicious cake! I tried the oreo brownie and it was super lekker! Staff was friendly and whoever takes care of the plants in the cafe has done a great job. :)

What a lovely place. I've cycled past it often. Now it's time to discover this place. And what a surprise! The staff was super cheerful and friendly. The stroopwafel cake was delicious. And it's a lovely place. You can sit outside or upstairs. I'll definitely be back.

It was my Dutch friend's birthday, and I wanted cake near the center; she took me to this place. We tried three different cakes, delicious coffees, and smoothies. It's a small but charming place in the middle of the square. It has a lot of variety and the owner is super friendly (he speaks many languages!!). I 100% recommend it.

Booked 2x at this restaurant and both times we were faced with a closed door. Closed. Later we saw that 5 minutes before our reserved time there was a cancellation without reason in the mailbox. Of course we were already there by then. Scandalous. This restaurant is not to be trusted and disrespectful to its guests. Too bad, because the menu looked great.

Ddadi is one of my absolute favorite cafés in Utrecht. I've only ever visited in the mornings, but my husband and I have tried several dishes, and everything has been consistently delicious. The avocado toast—both the classic and the version with goat cheese—is a standout. I recently had the granola with yogurt, which was fresh and perfectly refreshing on a glistening hot day. My husband has enjoyed the Classic Kickstart breakfast, which offers a nice variety of morning treats, as well as the blueberry French toast and the pancakes—both indulgent and satisfying. I'm a sucker for a sweet latte, and I love that they offer a few syrup options—maybe it's an American thing, but I’ve noticed that's not always common in cafés here, so it’s a nice touch. The lunch and dinner menus both look fantastic, so I definitely need to come back to try more—especially the taarts, which look absolutely divine. The café itself is adorable, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is just as good. Definitely give it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

Absolute recommendation! Whether you go for breakfast, lunch or something to drink. The shakshuka is delicious, like you're on vacation 🤤 The owner is guaranteed to put a big smile on your face. A real family business in the heart of the city of Utrecht. I was convinced by a video of the youtuber Raoul to go there and the service was really good. The man and woman were very nice in how they serve the customers. You get your food and drinks quickly and you can have a nice chat with them. A village feeling in the middle of the city. It is definitely worth it! The ice frappucino is recommended!

5 years today. We are welcomed like princesses. After exercising we have a cup of coffee. Cappuccino. In summer it is wonderful to sit outside. The Tagine is delicious. A nice place to be for a while. For a neighborhood cafe, I think it would be nice to take my dirty things downstairs myself. Better a good neighbor than a distant friend

I absolutely adore this place! I've already been here for lunch before. I tried the club sandwich and the french toast, both were divine!!! Yesterday I went again for dinner. We ordered the lamb kebab and the chicken tajine. Both were really nice for super friendly prices. The chicken tajine was absolutely amazing! You can feel the love that has been put into this place, the service and the food! Can't recommend this gem more.

We came here for lunch after our red-eye flight from the States with our two little ones. As you could imagine, we’re all tired & off our normal clock especially the kiddos. Ddadi himself welcomed us so warmly knowing that everyone was in rare form. He was so incredibly kind to our family and an absolutely gem. The three sandwiches we ordered (Carpaccio, Club, & Veggie) were absolutely delicious. Will definitely try to go back during our time in Utrecht.

We - my partner and I - often enjoy this great place. Upon entering we are always greeted enthusiastically by the owner and in terms of food we highly recommend the luxurious breakfast. You get a lot for your money. It is also a very pleasant place to start your morning, land after exercising or do some laptop work. We haven't tried the dinner yet, but we are looking forward to it.

I stopped by this coffee shop recently and had a double espresso along with a slice of white mocha cheesecake. Both were spot on! The espresso had just the right kick to get me going, and the cheesecake was creamy with a great balance of sweetness and coffee flavor. The vibe inside was super chill, perfect for hanging out or getting some work done. The staff was friendly and helpful too. Overall, a solid spot for good coffee and dessert—I’ll definitely be back!

Ddadi is the best coffe house what Utrecht has to offer. The owner is always cheerful and makes you a good cup of coffee. Me as an introvert always feels comfortable to get my drinks here.

Best food and coffee in Utrecht. A true gem with very friendly service. Every time you arrive, you'll be warmly welcomed with a smile. My favorites are the geitenkaas tosti, the geitenkaas broodje, the iced latte caramel. My partner and I go there every single week with excitement!

Please update your menu prices for 5 stars. We visited for the first time today. The food was very delicious, the service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere was cozy on a rainy day. The issue we had was that the price we paid at the end didn't match the prices on the menu so we ended up paying around €5 more than we expected. The man explained the price differences to us after we went back to double check the discrepancy. It turned out our main dish had increased by 30% from the menu price. We wish we had been told of the price increases as it would have changed what we ordered. We recommend checking out this restaurant but maybe double check the prices first.

Very nice people! Had a delicious meal with a group of 11. The tagine was really tasty! I recommend the chicken tagine.

So the food was good for the price and really nicely prepared. The ambience is also impressive and you really get something out of the small café. But when we paid we couldn't be given an invoice, only the receipt for the credit card payment. The price seemed a bit strange to me and after we calculated it later we realized that we had paid €16 for 3 Americano coffees. So highly recommended but maybe calculate what it should cost before paying😉

Went there just to try out the beetroot latte, which is quite good.. but the service was warm and welcoming.. also treated myself with a homemade lemon cheesecake 👌🏽and small cafe around the busy street to sit for a while and enjoy.. They servers homemade tajin so will go again for sure.. 2023/10/30: Tarjine Went again to try the dish and I’m happy.. When I opened the lid, whole place filled with aroma of it.. Chickens was so tender and flavorful.. the carrots onions olives eggs, all play it’s part in the stew.. I guess the secret is the Moroccan pot.. that was one awesome dish! 👌🏽

Restaurant op de 1e etage, erg goed gegeten en goede service. Meneer praatte soms wat onduidelijk, maar was heel gezellig en bereid het nogmaals te herhalen. Had een kip tajine en het vlees viel van het bot. Smaken waren heerlijk met lekkere groente en wat couscous. Als toetje een brownie met ijs en ook erg smaakvol. Prima porties ook.
