Great restaurant! The service is top and the food is truly delicious. And this for a reasonable price.

Super original dishes, real taste bombs! We had the surprise menu because we couldn't choose :) Very extensive wine list. Because we were still driving home, we had individual glasses with the dishes, which were nicely coordinated.

Delicious food! A delicious and honest restaurant with a nonsense atmosphere. People don't play plays, don't play phoeha and are above all themselves. The staff actively thinks along with dietary issues. The wine list: Terroir works with a fixed surcharge per bottle, instead of a standard percentage, which makes the wine list attractive. In short, a wonderful evening completely in balance, thanks!

Fantastic restaurant! We had dinner with a group of 4 colleagues on Thursday evening... man what a party! As if you are being served a star menu in your own living room. The service takes all the time and attention for you and can give you excellent advice about the wines. Absolutely recommended in Utrecht!

Very noisy, food was very salty, we were very disappointed after all the good stories we had read. A wine list that is much too big, so that white wines are not cold, you already have your food and the wine has yet to come. And if you make a comment about this, you get the answer, we only have satisfied customers and good reviews ... hmmm ... then you don't quite get it.

A great experience at Cafe-Restaurant Terroir. Very helpful and accommodating staff with excellent food and atmosphere. A friend and I threw our husband's 40th birthday party here with a group of 14. The restaurant did a terrific job facilitating the surprise and also making a big group work. I was pleased overall and would recommend this for any dinner - large or small.

We were here on Sunday November 24 for a special Beaujolais lunch. Choice of 4 or 5 courses, matching wine or choice of number of bottles of Beaujolais. We had such a delicious meal, the dishes were very well balanced, also with the matching wine. And very nice atmosphere! Thanks, we will definitely be back...

Weer een goed adres in Utrecht. Ook hier wordt zeer goed gekookt. Daarnaast heeft dit cafe-restaurant een zeer goede wijnkaart. Het voorgerecht met dikhaas was zeer verrassend.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff

The restaurant is a bit hidden in the Museum Quarter, but it is easily accessible by bus. At least during the day, because in the evening line 2 stops working and you have to walk quite a distance to a bus stop. You can enjoy excellent food there. We had deliciously soft veal tartare with onions, mussels with Spanish white beans, fantastic roasted leek and well-cooked monkfish. Just very tasty, without any fuss. This applies to everything in Terroir: no appetizers before or during the menu, no basket of bread on the table, no decorations. As for the wine, the Riesling house wine was not to our taste: to put it kindly, very dry, or just sour. Fortunately, we saw a white wine from Paltz on the very extensive wine list, which turned out to pair very well with the dishes. Finally, nothing but praise for the service: cordial and attentive, what more could you want?

Hospitality is good here. Wines were superb. In our opinion, the food lacked flavor and given the price, it really needs to be improved. Beautiful products, but prepared too blandly with meager garnish. We had a nice evening here, but for the money you can expect more from the dishes.

Last weekend we had dinner at Terroir with five friends. It was a beautiful long late lunch with five courses, where, in addition to the company, we enjoyed the delicious dishes, the beautiful wines and the casual and exceptionally friendly service. The beautiful order of the dishes, the smells and flavors, the layout and the accompanying wines were of excellent quality and beautifully conceived. The fact that one of our party ate vegan was no problem for the restaurant to serve beautiful dishes here too. The restaurant is more than worth the detour from, in our case, The Hague. We can recommend everyone to visit this restaurant. We thank the chef and his brigade for this wonderful experience.

Came last December for date night with my boyfriend. We had delicious food and wine with fantastic service. I had the white fish with Jerusalem artichokes and sauerkraut while my boyfriend had the pheasant with berry sauce. Delicious - I’m sad I can’t remember the type of fish it was, it was honestly the best fish I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to return.

I wish I could give 10 ⭐️. Nice place, really amazing staff and the food is unbelievable good for a fair price. Only one thing is bad: the wine cart is so long and it’s a shame you don’t have time to try it all 🙃 But whatever you choose will be good. My favorite place in Utrecht so far. Highs: the menu is seasoned, so you will taste only fresh ingredients. March: we loved the ceviche and the pork casserole.

Had a wonderful evening. Consciously chose a place at the bar, this turned out to be a good choice. Cozy and ideal for a chat with the (very friendly and cheerful) service. The menu is not very extensive, but what is on it is delicious and beautifully served.

Interessant concept: de wijn op één en het eten op twee. De bediening en gastvrijheid was uitstekend en de wijnen erg lekker. Van het eten had ik voor die prijs wel wat meer smaak verwacht

We zochten last minute een plekje om te eten en iemand van Héron raadde ons dit restaurant aan. Er was gelukkig nog één tafeltje beschikbaar! Weliswaar maar tot half 8, maar dat werd ons keurig vermeld en we waren ook echt heel last minute. We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten, de service was onberispelijk en de wijn was fantastisch. We komen zeker nog een keer terug!

Eten, service en sfeer is hier goed. Vanavond hier gegeten en genoten. Ze hebben hier veel verschillende soorten wijnen en een ruim assortiment halve wijnflessen. Het eten is hier erg lekker. Toiletten zien er goed en schoon uit. Op terras buiten staan ongeveer 10 tafeltjes. Sfeer is erg gezellig. Ik had de zeebaars met krokante korst, tartaar, opperdoezen en vijgensaus. Dessert met kippenhuid, vanille-ijs en vlierbloesem was bijzonder. Absoluut een aanrader!

Wij ontdekten dit restaurant in Utrecht puur op toeval. En we hadden geluk! Er was nog een tafeltje voor 2 vrij die avond... We werden aangenaam verrast. Zowel door de presentatie als smaak en originaliteit van de gerechten. Als door de uiterst vriendelijke bediening! Echt: het team van dit restaurant weet hoe ze gasten welkom kunnen heten en wij voelden ons dan ook super gastvrij onthaald. Mijn partner en ik beleefden 'n heerlijke avond in dit restaurant. Ook de inrichting straalt pure gezelligheid uit. Aanrader voor 'n romantisch diner dit adresje!

Zoals altijd weer heerlijk gegeten en gedronken bij Terroir. Ditmaal op het terras, met onder andere goede steak tartaar (met krokante ui en walnoot ansjovis mayo) en een top fles Clos du Roi 2017 van Marsannay koning Sylvain Pataille. Dessert was ijs met krokante kippenhuid: dat klinkt gek, maar smaakt té gek!

Super lekker gegeten! Echt alle gerechten waren heerlijk en verdienen dik 5 sterren. Personeel denkt goed mee over de wijnen, maar persoonlijk vond ik niet alle wijnen even goed passen bij de gerechten. Qua prijs zit dit restaurant ook aan de erg hoge kant. Verder super gezellige avond gehad.

De beste plek om voor mijn verjaardag te hebben gegeten. Wat een fijne plek is dit met kundig en ontzettend vriendelijk personeel en een hele fijne intieme sfeer. Het eten was perfect en de bijpassende wijn ook. Terroir valt als restaurant niet zo op aan de buitenkant en voelt daardoor als een verborgen pareltje in Utrecht. Ben blij dat wij het hebben ontdekt! Een aanrader en wij komen zeker nog eens terug!

The menu and the selection of dishes was very good. I really appreciated the technical preparations and the combinations of flavors offered by the chef. The service was great too. The personal explained the dishes pretty well and they were attentive and professional. The only negative thing: the chairs and the tables outside on the little terrace were really uncomfortable and old, like school chairs and old wood tables. It’s an aspect definitely to improve.

Geweldig restaurant: qua totaalbeleving by far beste in Utrecht. Uitstekende keuken, prachtige en uitgebreide wijnkaart, attente service, relaxte sfeer; alles klopt gewoon. En dan ook nog zeer betaalbaar, wat m.n. geldt voor de wijnen waarvoor een vaste opslag op de inkoopprijs wordt gerekend.

One of the few restaurants open on Monday and the ambiance is cozy. The staff was very friendly. There is a wide selection of wines. I wasn’t very amused by 2 dishes out of 5, I think there is some room for improvement considering the prices.
