I loved this place! I found it by chance! The staff were so friendly, Marco was exceptional. Just so you know, the beer is a little more expensive, but it's worth it.

Atmospheric place, but there isn't really much room to sit. Additionally, there is a choice of 3 toasted sandwiches for lunch.

Nice little place, but the prices are ridiculous. 8 euros for a glass of wine, a small beer costs you 4.75, and if you want a craft beer, it's out 7 (!!!! ) euros. Just insane.

His name was Nico and he’s treated us horribly! The wine was disgusting and he actively treated us badly and aggressively!

Since the new owner took over, this café has really undergone a lovely transformation. Whereas it used to be primarily a pub, you can now visit during the day as well. The fact that they are now open during the day is a real asset; last week we had a wonderful time sitting there with a cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie. The menu is nicely organized, and you can enjoy delicious toasted sandwiches there. Well-filled, nice and crispy, exactly how you hope a toasted sandwich tastes. It is certainly worth stopping by during the day, especially because of the incredibly friendly waitress who served us. Absolutely worth a visit!

I live nearby and was walking by with my dog ​​when I saw that the café had recently opened in the mornings. I popped in for a cup of coffee, and my dog ​​was immediately offered a bowl of water. In the end, I not only had coffee, but also a Tosti Amsterdam (with beef sausage) with fresh juice. The friendly woman behind the bar told me that the beef sausage comes from Slagerij Louman, and you can taste it. A nice addition to the neighborhood and a great place for people-watching.

The apple pie was delicious!!!!

Came here with my partner while on holiday and we just wanted to go to a cute place for a drink or two. We were having a nice time that atmosphere was great. We orderd 2 Stella’s and a gin and lemonade and it came to €39.50!!! We were gobsmacked. We didn’t feel comfortable to flag up the price as we didn’t get a great vibe from the barman unfortunately. Won’t be recommending :(

I experienced sexual assault/repetitive non-consensual intimate touching from another customer here. When someone tried to call the police on my behalf, I was screamed at by the bar staff to not cause problems and was kicked out. I did not feel safe or supported. Would not recommend.

The price was exorbitant (€14.50 for a Hoegaarden 0% and a Falcon, both in cans). The price was not indicated anywhere. Even for Amsterdam, it's expensive. Obviously it wasn't expensive enough for the waitress to be pleasant.

Unfortunately I can't get in touch with you in any way, but yesterday (30 Nov, at 15.08) I had a coke with my son at your place and I only now see that 70,- (!!!) has been written off instead of probably 7,- How can I get in touch with you? €5 for a vase of regular beer is a lot to ask, also because you don't know the price in advance. We ordered the bitterballen and we had to wait 1 hour for them. In addition, the bartender seemed under the influence.

Really very nice, a bit of a Dublin style atmosphere in this little pub. It's nice. But I was surprised by the bill (we were 4 people). For 3 beers, 1 mojito, 2 glasses of white wine, total €83: it's expensive.

We were out around 10:30pm and surprisingly didn't find too many places open in the streets of Amsterdam, and if we did they weren't very welcoming... Until we came across Café De Geit ! — Nicolo was so lovely, amazing drinks, fun convo, cosy interior — perfect for a good vibes night out if you're avoiding crowded bars, want to stay safe but still want to have a good time and meet new people!! — left around 2:30am 🤣

Went here on King's Day and asked for 2 euros for a toilet that was dirty and where you had to wait 20 minutes. Then I got 2 drinks, which wasn't possible because they sold 3 drinks or more (?!?!?!) and pins were not possible. So if you pay in cash, they have no change. What a mockery

Solid brown cafe! Cozy and warm for a pint inside or when the weather is pleasant sit outside and throw beer on the passers by and pretend you didn’t do it. Typical bar food my- the unamazing but always present bitterballen and the always crispy fried accoutrements. Great staff and decent selection of beers. Nice place to sit in front of the FP, if there was one, or just start your own. I drank some local Dutch concoction that nearly killed me. Not sure what it was but give it try. Nico (the bartender) and Fran (the mgr) are always looking for the way to provide the best experience and take good care of their customers... they even asked us which music we wanted them to play!!! Nice little bar nestled away in a side street.

We kwamen bij toeval in dit café terecht vanwege de hevige regen. Binnen werden we aangenaam verrast door het leuke en knusse sfeertje. De medewerkster was erg vriendelijk en zorgde voor een prettige ervaring. Het bier was lekker, maar we merkten dat het zijn smaak een beetje miste. Ondanks dat hebben we toch genoten van de gezelligheid en de goede service van het personeel.

Mein Sohn wollte unbedingt in den North-Face-Store, da haben meine Tochter und ich hier noch einen Cappuccino getrunken. Bzw., was man in Holland meist dafür bekommt. Der Kaffee war aber lecker, besser also so mancher Cappuccino in Amsterdam (außer bei Luuk, der ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben!). Man nimmt hier übrigens italienische Bohnen... warum dann kein Cappuccino möglich ist... na ja. Unser Kellner war sehr freundlich und schnell. Weil wir es eilig hatten, habe ich ihn, der gerade draußen eine rauchte, nur gefragt, was das alles kostet und das Geld aufgerundet auf die Untertasse gelegt. Er sprang sofort herbei und wollte das Wechselgeld holen - was freilich nicht nötig war, woraufhin er sich sehr erfreut bedankte.

Hartstikke leuke tent, lekker drankje, bitter garnituur en kaas/vlees plankje.

Op zaterdagmiddag gezellig aan de bar met ons vieren een glas wijn gedronken. Het was rustig en daardoor hadden we leuk contact met de barman.
