Nice atmosphere. I had to wait a long time before I was helped at the bar.

Good mix of people, traditional pub with good beers. Also a lovely sunny terrace. Just off Rapenburg.

I was here because of a class gathering, I ordered a ginger ale and sat on the attic with some friends.

Had a fun Friday night at Café de Keyzer with friends! The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere had a relaxed, cozy vibe — perfect for catching up and enjoying the evening. The food was decent, though it didn’t completely blow us away. A few dishes could’ve used a bit more flavor, but overall still enjoyable. Would definitely come back again for the great ambiance and the welcoming staff — a solid spot for a night out with friends!

Nice classic cafe in Leiden, beautiful woodwork and therefore a very "cozy feel". Nice for a drink with snacks and classic conviviality. Also large spaces upstairs for larger groups/meetings!

This is a very cozy cafe in Leiden and you can drink very nice beer here, they have a large and tasty range. Definitely come here sometime.

What a disappointment. We arrive starving. There are a few tables occupied on the terrace. Everyone is provided with drinks. It's 3:00 PM. Someone might still be sitting at 1 table inside. A plate of nachos and snacks is placed on the table next to us. Wait 15 minutes until someone comes to take our order. We ask if we can order snacks (that's the only thing on the menu, so nothing complicated). Answer: no, the kitchen is closed for a while due to understaffing 😳 it's not that busy, is it? Just give me fifteen minutes, he says. He goes back inside. My 8 year old son is really hungry. I walk in and report this to him. Just make him one plate of nachos. Just to combat hunger. Without saying yes, he says I'll come to your table in a minute. Fifteen minutes later he brings the drinks. We have been without anything to drink for more than half an hour. Wrong drinks, among other things, for our table. I ask about the food. First he starts the discussion that it is too busy. After some insistence he says okay to a plate of nachos. It takes 20+ minutes before we get the nachos and in the meantime two employees are working. The table on the other side with 3 small children is also hungry and has also been denied food. Their grandmother walks in and returns with a handful of cookies for coffee to appease her grandchildren. In the meantime you have three employees and almost everyone has already left the other tables. WHY DON'T YOU COME AND OFFER SOMETHING? Simply spooning olives and nuts into a container… literally takes 30 seconds of your time. Just something for these people. We eat our nachos in a hurry because it's already late. When paying, we also see all incorrectly charged drinks on the bill... seriously? We only pay for what we have ordered and walk away and the family with the grandmother has still not been offered anything...bah bah

good place for a cheap pint or glass of wine - mostly for students! servers are always great and the wine selection not too bad. fries (when the kitchen is open) go down a treat!

One of those winter days that turns out to be warm enough to take a seat on a terrace and then you sit there like royalty, on top of a bridge over one of Leiden's canals. Atmosphere, coffee, service, everything tip top!

This place has gorgeous characteristics. I always love to get a drink here during early evening in the terrace, it’s the rush hour of the Kaiserstraat and it is really nice to observe the people cycle by. Inside, the sound of the old wood when you move around takes you back in time. The lights give a nostalgic feeling and the bartenders are super friendly.

A cool bar they have good bear and shots, also nice to go for a snack. The prices are decent, a lot of students go to this place.

I WAS SAT HERE a few weeks ago. I was very nervous because I had a date with a goth mommy. There I was, feeling anxious and stressed. I had never had this before, I was SHITTING with FEAR. And then it happened... the door opened... and my eyes had a feast... it wasn't a girl coming... it was Jeroen ELSWIJK!!!!!!! Words can't describe how I felt!!! It was like riding a roller coaster and the loop just kept going!!! We had such a good time! I immediately called the waiter and asked for TIG Fanta bottles!!! Jeroen could not be moved from his chair, as if he had put his toilet mission on pause. Long story short, best night of my life. 10/10 I would buy Jeroen in the item shop.

Drink in a qöd glass..... Was NOT a shot glass...... Hello?

The atmosphere was great, but the service was terrible. Two guys behind the bar acted like they were too good for everyone. I hope not all staff are like this. Everything that was asked was answered with a disinterested look of disgust. No interest, no friendliness, no service!

Nice, brown pub. Excellent beers, also on tap. Tasty snacks. Very friendly staff. Not expensive. Not noisy.

Leuke plek om is een drankje te doen. De koffieshaker is een aanrader voor de goeie drinker ;)

Prima cafe. Jammer dat de prijzen nergens getoond worden en de kaart op de website veel lagere prijzen laat zien.

Gezellige kroeg, goede sfeer met goed personeel.

2 soorten pils van de tap (brand en heineken), altijd wel fijn als je een voorkeur hebt. Verder fijn dat we een zaal konden gebruiken voor een gelegenheid.

Ook voor de BOB genoeg keuze en aardige bediening!!.

Werk borrel gehad. Super vriendelijke bediening en perfect getapte Heineken biertjes.

Feest gehad. Geen eten, alleen hapjes. Goede locatie, ook buiten. Bediening vlot.

Leuke oude kroeg in Leiden. Wij kwamen er voor een verjaardag. Hiervoor was een zaaltje gereserveerd. Personeel was erg vriendelijk. Kortom, een leuke avond. We hebben er niet gegeten.

Lekker een ouderwetse bruincafe met veel sfeervolle sfeer. Aanrader.

Deelgenomen aan een proeverij op de eerste verdieping. Weinig meegekregen van het café zelf. Wel dat het een mooi authentiek gebouw gaat.

Lekker op het terras gezeten, heerlijk in het herfstzonnetje. Zelf je drankje bestellen bij de bar. De snacks duurde iets te lang maar waren daarentegen wel lekker :). Kortom leuke tent!

Cozy pub with a wide variety of beers and helpful staff who will attend to you even at most crowded times. Definitely one of the best in Leiden!

Lekker hapje tijdens de bierwandeling

Prima café met onder andere een leuke selectie aan bieren van de tap 😋 De barmannen zelf zijn absoluut vriendelijk, maar niet heel erg met de gasten bezig. Staan veel met elkaar praten. De sfeer en het interieur is verder top!

It was a bar I used to go when I lived in Leiden. Great variety of beers. The place is cozy.

Goed groot gezellig cafe , barman kan betere oren gebruiken.
