Café in de oude Marenpoort in Binnenstad-Noord

We enjoyed our fifth drink here during the Beer Walk. It was quite busy upon arrival, but it moved along nicely. It's a cozy, warm, and inviting brown cafe. Perfect for a cold evening escape. It has an antique feel, and the staff was friendly and quick. There's a wide selection of drinks, and I was very pleased with the prices.

The worst place I've ever been. We came here with some friends. My friends stayed inside while I went out for air for two minutes. I had time to breathe, and a guy wouldn't let me back in! He was also physically violent and angry, and kept telling me he'd only let me back in if I apologized (?). Since I said I was physically violent, I'd call the police. Truly the worst place I've ever been. Small and smelly inside, with a disrespectful and violent guard outside. Seriously, never again.

The people who work here are more concerned with their drunken friends than with their guests. I was sitting on the patio with two friends having a drink when a very drunk student arrived. He wasted no time and immediately started harassing us. After reporting it to the bartender, nothing happened. The bar staff saw it all firsthand, but I think they let it go because they know him. It's clear to me: this place doesn't care about its guests, but more about friends who stop by. I'm never coming back. It was an incredibly bad experience, and in my opinion, the worst pub in Leiden!

Great spot! Local vibe, super nice staff, they offer you to try cheeses and sausages for free on Fridays and Sundays! :)

We stumbled upon this place while walking, and I must say it's amazing. The beer is excellent, and the service is fantastic. I especially like it for groups who want to enjoy drinks and socializing. The atmosphere in the café is very relaxed and laid-back, which I really enjoyed.

Fine location to sit outside in the sun. Don't know what it is like when you sit inside, because I spend an hour on the terras. Their vegetarian snack is very good.

Leuke plek om een pintje te drinken. Een echte aanrader!

MAPO (Moeten Altijd Pils Opdrinken)

Rustige zondag middag in Leiden. Na het fietsen deze kroeg gevonden. Binnen , een paar maanden geleden zou je er blijven de hele dag. Zo gezellig is het. Nu het is buiten zitten en kijken naar de mensen die binnen de stad komen.je droomt hier van alles wat goed is in het leven.

Lekker gezeten aan de waterkant, echt een oude kroeg van binnen. Vriendelijk en vlot personeel.

Wir waren in diesem Cafe, als wir 2020 in den Niederlanden im Urlaub wahren. Wir wollten ein Espresso trinken und stießen auf dieses Cafe es wahr sehr Gemütlich und es war schön still... der Espresso war Top und der Kakao war der beste den der Kleine je getrunken hat wir kommen Definitiv noch mal.

Fijne sfeer, vriendelijke bediening. Aanrader!

Perfecte plek voor een pilsje of ander drankje. Oud bruin café, ingang van het Leidse stadscentrum, prettige sfeer, overdag borrelen, in de avond bieren, gezellig personeel, een goede selectie speciaalbieren en prima prijzen!

Een gezellig café! Op de zaterdag niet te druk vroeg in de avond maar wordt wel drukker in de nacht. Aardig personeel, lekker bier!
