Cafe De Kroeg in Wijk 01 Nijmegen-Centrum

After reporting an assault in Nijmegen's city center, where I had to identify a perpetrator who was in Café De Kroeg, I was not appreciated by the staff! They denied there had been an argument or a fight, even though the assault continued onto their own patio! Thank goodness they stand up for perpetrators of senseless violence! Hats off! 🥂🍾🎊 I saw a girl assaulting her boyfriend with high kicks to the face and powerful, audible fists on Broerstraat in Nijmegen. I spoke out against the perpetrator and followed the arguing couple for a while, after which I formally informed the officers about the assault. Immediately after the police investigation ended, I was asked in a very rude manner to leave the patio, even though I was there solely to identify a perpetrator of assault. I was only there for a few minutes, and I didn't intend to stay long. The staff at Café De Kroeg won't hesitate to deny it if you give your partner at least five high kicks and hard punches in the city center; a nonsense argument is enough for them to justify assaulting an intoxicated young man!

I was stopping there every 8-9days since 2 years. Owner and place is fantastic. You can play darts and enjoy good music. Very nice place.

Great little pub just away from the main drag in Nijmegen. Theo and Edith provide a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere. A short walk down to the river or, alternatively, a short walk up from the river! Open Wednesday-Sunday. The chip shop opposite does beautiful mayo and chips by the way.

Great place where it's good to be. Had a wonderful afternoon today with the people from Café Dapper!

Nice place to enjoy some beers. There is also food served (snacks). Next to the Waal river and the city center of Nijmegen. During the evening can be crowded, because it is around many other bars. Recommended.
