Café "De Nieuwe Stek" in Dapperbuurt

I don't know what others think, but I'm very happy with it. Applies to both guests and staff.

This is still a regular, cozy brown café. I have been coming here since I once worked in the Dapperbuurt and the Indische Buurt in the early 80s. It was my second regular café at the time, next to my first café on the corner of Wagenaarstraat/Dapperstaat at Jimmy's. (The last café no longer exists) The interior and therefore the atmosphere have remained largely the same. The cat has been replaced a few times over the years, but the current owners and other employees are still very nice today. Coffee, snacks, beer, wine, everything is reasonably priced. Chapeau! I hope you will continue to exist for many years to come. What would the market be without you!

Een fijne stek om neer te strijken voor een lekkere bak koffie met een heerlijke punt appelgebak voor een fijne 'normale' prijs: daar loop je voor om. Vriendelijk, vrolijk personeel en dat wat zorgt voor een gezellige sfeer.

Een geweldig fijn en warm cafe, je wordt er spontaan opgenomen door de bezoekers en het bar personeel, echt een super gezellig cafe, ik ga daar zeker vaker naar toe. Ik ben geboren in Amsterdam ben vetrokken uit Amsterdam in 1983 en woon in Arnhem maar cafe de nieuwe stek in amsterdam Dapperstraat,, (dappermarkt) is echt gezellige.

Very stylish place. Beautiful woodwork. I had an excellent coffee by Smith & Dorlas. Opens at 7:30 am. Typical for an old style Amsterdam pub.
