The bay window seating is what makes this coffeeshop special. It’s small and quaint on the inside, but a great selection available. The staff are good and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back

Just left this place and gotta say its a real place to chill. No dispensery(that's round the corner). Anyways you can smoke and chill here and have a beer if you want. Which we did. And last night had the best milkshake. And a few smokes. The guy behind the bar was a very nice chap and very helpful.

I really enjoyed my visit to Coffeeshopamsterdam Café. The environment is exactly what you hope for when exploring the city—vibrant, stylish, and full of character. As for the menu, the food and drinks were top-notch; you can tell they prioritize quality, and everything served was fresh and delicious. The service was good overall—the team was friendly and helpful with questions, though it did get quite busy, so things took just a little longer than expected. However, the staff handled the crowd well and remained polite throughout. Given the prime location and the high quality of the items, I found the pricing to be very fair. It’s a classic spot that lives up to the reputation, and I’d certainly suggest it to anyone looking for a authentic and tasty experience!

This is the coffeeshop I’ve been coming to since I moved to Amsterdam. I’ve always loved the atmosphere, but today I was treated very poorly. Our orders were not taken, and we tried several times to get someone’s attention to order a beer, but we were simply ignored. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.

Terrible service. To place an order I practically had to humiliate myself to order a cappuccino and a beer. I spent over 30 minutes trying to get served, and we left without being able to order. Thank you for the terrible service provided. March 21, 2026.

This coffee shop was the first one I visited when I arrived in Amsterdam, and it quickly became my favorite place. I brought all my friends and even tourists here. However, on the night of March 21, 2026, we were treated extremely poorly. After waiting 30 minutes just to order a second beer, all the staff stayed behind the bar talking and laughing. They looked at us I raised my glass, waved, and they saw me, but ignored us. One of the waitresses came to our table, took a glass, and left without saying a single word. I felt completely uncomfortable and embarrassed, to the point that I had to leave. What used to be my favorite place has turned into a disappointment.

Nice get-together, we only had drinks and didn't eat anything, we were probably in the way and had to go somewhere else.

This place used to be an actual coffeeshop, the Rokerij. Now it's used as a lounge for what used to be De Dampkring, which is a block away from this lounge. The coffeeshop has 3 floors though only 1 in use the days I visited. That's another review though. Back to this place, many who entered thought it was a coffeeshop. It is only an extension of a coffeeshop where there is more space to roll, smoke, buy drinks or snacks and mellow out. For our visit there was only 1 staff member in an oversized lab coat who didn't smile much. And our sodas were very warm.

I came to this coffee shop with my partner to enjoy a hot chocolate, which was excellent. After about 10 minutes, our hot chocolates were cleared away, and barely 5 minutes later, a waitress came to ask us what we wanted to drink. We replied that we didn't want anything else. She insisted that we had to order something to stay, even though we had just finished our first drink. So my partner gave in and ordered a Coke anyway, and she said, "Oh no, we both have to order something." We then said we were leaving, and she seemed a little shocked. Five minutes later, another waitress came to check that we were leaving. I absolutely do not recommend this place. There's an absurd push to make you buy more; you don't even have time to relax, and besides, the coffee shop was empty at that point.

Very nice and very clean place. We were there while we were taking a walk so we could stop and taste some of their internal specialties. They were very kind and available to explain everything to us. We also managed to get a beer to drink, which is something that usually doesn't happen in normal coffee shops.

Too many guests on the street, it's like a teahouse, and the Wi-Fi is terrible! The toilets are awful.

Great bar to relax at. They don't sell weed, but you can smoke and have a beer or something else. The service is good and the atmosphere is welcoming. We'll be back.

Heard a lot of hype about this place. Was thoroughly disappointed, staff were rude and disrespectful. Service was slow, and not particularly busy at all. I was also overcharged for my purchases of which they wouldn't review when questioned. If you want a coffee shop go somewhere else in the area is my recommendation, I'd stay away from here.

One of the best coffeeshops in Amsterdam, great selection of food in comparison to others that only offer packets of sweets, chocolate bars and crisps. This place has cakes, milkshakes and toasties! Much better. Try the lemon meringue pie it’s phenomenal.

Ignore my 1 star review for food. It May be great, we just didn't try it. Good vibe. Nice location. They allow smoking as well as serving alcoholic drinks. Great place to stop by.

One of the best coffee shops I been to....food , service , and environment is the best. Has several.shops nearby with good quality everything all around, you won't be dissatisfied because I surely wasn't ! I will explore all good places to go to so if you ever go to Amsterdam, so save you alot of time to enjoy more !

The atmosphere is simply amazing. The music playing inside and the design of the shop take you to very different places. Coffees were between 3-5 Euros and were delicious. There is no marijuana sales, you bring it from outside, you can smoke it inside, but there is no smoking, only marijuana.

This is the perfect place to enjoy a nice dutch IPA and some flowers. The staff are welcoming and informative, but it can get quite busy, so adjust your expectations accordingly. The pesto cheese toastie and brownie are great! Thanks for not being a tourist trap like the other smoking bars in Amsterdam.

Disappointing Service Experience I had an unpleasant experience at this branch. A staff member with curly black hair was extremely rude and unprofessional. She appeared angry and didn’t know how to communicate politely with customers. I even witnessed her shouting at another table, which made the environment very uncomfortable. It felt like she assumed we came for free service, which is unacceptable. Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere in this branch was unfriendly, unlike other branches where the staff are much more welcoming and professional. I strongly recommend avoiding this location and visiting another branch instead, where the customer experience is significantly better.

Even though the table outside was dirty and you ask them to clean it for you. They do that, so friendly staff. We didn't have any food, but we did have a nice strong cup of coffee❤️👍 recommended if you don't like a weak cup of coffee🙋🏼‍♀️

Great place to have a snack (wonderful toasts) and a drink. Very friendly and courteous staff, always smiling and helpful. Music in the background at a good volume which is pleasant and never annoying, helps to make you feel at home. Compliments!

The lounge was fine, but that's about it. It wasn't hugely comfortable, the atmosphere was okay and the drinks were pretty expensive. I'd recommend other lounges if you want to sit somewhere nice, comfy and fun.

My favorite coffeeshop in Amsterdam. Very chill environment, great cappuccinos. Great place for a smoke and a beer. The women who served us were SO nice and kind. However, minus one star for service due to the incredibly blunt and rude male server with dirty blonde hair. He really put a sour taste in our mouth and he ended up serving us twice.

Really bad. They close at 01:00am. I went there and it was like 00:15am, and i asked for a simple beer. I waited like 10min to get someone to make my order. In the final, they rejected to get me the beer, because they were almost closed. Bro... it was like 45minutes left to close, and they didnt get me the beer. You guys lost a customer. Thank god, in amsterdam we have hundreds of coffees

It takes a long time for them to come help, quite expensive (even by Amsterdam standards) and if you order spirits you get a glass with a sip of alcohol in it. You'll be in the right place, the staff is friendly and the milkshakes are tasty.

Great place! 420 smoke friendly with cocktails and CBD cocktails! Toasties and borrel as well. Good people watching right on the canal. Outdoor seating as well as indoor.

I’m smoker but I can’t deny the fact that I’m also autistic - and this coffeeshop was the only coffeeshop out of the 20 that I stepped in and out of. Went there in the afternoon and the atmosphere was amazing, warm and dim lights and good music.

Es uno de los pocos coffes que puedes beber alcohol y fumar ya que tienen separada la tienda del bar. Tienen una terraza que se está súper bien, no pasas nada de frío ya que tienen radiadores. Dentro también se estaba muy bien, había dos pisos y los camareros muy atentos (Había uno que hablaba español). También era de los pocos sitios que te hacían bebidas con CBD, no las probamos pero ahí estaban😅 recomiendo el chocolate de avellana, buenísimo y no era de máquina, como en casi todos lados.

A fairly average coffeeshop, not the cheapest and not the best overall but was quaint enough, there's better locally depending on what you're looking for, ideal for couples, not so much groups.
