We simply had pancakes and drinks. The pancake was very good. The prices are typical for this touristy area. Special mention goes to the truly exceptional kindness of the gentleman who served us. He shared some excellent sightseeing itineraries with us and made the effort to speak a few words in our language. Thank you very much!

Avoid this place. The food is bad, the service is slow. Plus, the prices are misleading (24 euros for a steak instead of the advertised 18.50...). It reeks of a tourist trap. And to top it all off, they push you to pay in cash...

A quaint place with a thousand details on the walls—lamps, paintings, memorabilia, and objects—that create a warm, family atmosphere. The service was a bit slow and inaccurate, but the staff was nevertheless friendly. The savory pancakes are unique dishes, very filling and flavorful. The location is beautiful, and the place is spacious inside and also has tables outside.

After passing dozens of restaurants all offering the same thing (burgers, pizzas), what a pleasure it was to find one serving local specialties! We tried the hutspot and the hachee: melt-in-your-mouth meat, piping hot side vegetables... Delicious. To finish with some local sweets, we had apple pie with whipped cream and poffertjes (a kind of mini pancake). All served by friendly waiters, one of whom was very helpful in French.

Loved their apple pie beyond belief it took me way back to my oma’s pie as a kid. The sandwiches themselves were just ok

A bit pricey for what you get: €8 for a 30cl bottle of beer and €10 for 6 bitterballen with sauce in a sachet.

Just passing through, really very expensive, €9 for 6 bitterballen meatballs and sachet mustard, a little effort would have been appreciated...

I would give zero stars if I could. It doesn't take one hour to cook a cheeseburger. When I asked, I was told it takes longer to cook a burger. It took a minute to take my money.

The food is far too overpriced. Very basic and not tasty, yet still at normal restaurant prices. The service is very unmotivated. The restrooms are bad. A huge disappointment, not recommended.

I tasted the mushroom and cheese pancake and was immediately pleasantly surprised. The mushrooms were well cooked and had a delicious, earthy flavor that really came through. The cheese was beautifully melted and made the whole thing nice and creamy. Everything together was well balanced and full of flavor. A dish that lets you savor every bite and is definitely worth making again, thank you!

We tried Hawaiian pancake and tuna salad, both were delicious, the salad portion was generous. Service was slow because there were only two servers, so if you would like to do a quick lunch, this is not an ideal place.

Unfortunately when you refuse to serve tap water and force your customers to buy bottled water… you cannot get more than a 1 star review. Service was fast and good although we just went for 1 drink.

Unfriendly and expensive! My son ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream. He dropped it immediately, without even taking a single sip. In Belgium, when something like that happens, a new one is usually served. Not here. Honestly, I don't consider that service. I won't be returning to places like this, and I wouldn't recommend them either. A shame. It could have been handled differently.

We stopped in for a drink and stayed a while. The waitress was lovely. The bartender was personable. The baileys coffee was to die for!!

Decent place, much better than expected after reading some of reviews. This is pretty simple cusine, but big portions. Don't expect some restaurant class food, but chicken fillet was so big that my husband helped to finish it. Good taste, a bit pricey though, most likely due to it's location.

I don’t understand what the attitude is all about since the waiter that served was very hospitable and polite and warm and welcoming. The food was very good, great portion and a good value for a buck, especially considering the destination and the tourist ripoffs in the surrounding area.

A very good experience at this restaurant. I had a typical pancake for lunch; the presentation was quite simple, but in the end, it was really delicious (I had the bacon and cheddar). The waiter was very cheerful and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable! The place is very pleasant as it's quite spacious and quiet.

Typical Dutch restaurant. We ordered soup and it had way too much pepper, the bowl was small, and it wasn't as tasty as I expected. The restrooms smelled bad. We won't be back.

Horrible food…the pancakes were dry and stale. The waiter didn’t offer syrup with the pancakes. It took him forever to even serve us. The food is horriblly overpriced. Ordered orange juice too and it came in a shot glass. Stay away from this place at all cost!

Had I read the reviews before coming I’d probably pass this place, BUT, I’m happy we didn’t be cause the atmosphere was cozy, the service was friendly and the food was delicious! I got the spaghetti bolognese and my husband got a cheeseburger and they both pleased us very well!

Had a panini, a sandwich, and tomato soup - the sandwich/panini was mostly bread and not a lot of stuff in it and the soup was very salty. The service was very quick, we were in and out which I appreciated for a quick bite for sure, and it was a popping place and a menu with variety!

We walked in for a cup of coffee at 4 p.m., but weren't welcome: "Only for lunch," they said. Hospitality is nowhere to be found.

We thought we’d try this restaurant for some breakfast which was a big mistake. The staff were rude and dismissive towards us. We had to ask twice for a glass of water and then told very rudely that they only do bottled water and was given a very small bottle of water between two people. The omelette was ok but the toast was folded in half and only toasted on one side, they clearly just can’t be bothered. Salad on the side was beyond a joke, so small and practically pointless to even have it there. I definitely wouldn’t recommend coming here there’s plenty of nicer places to eat elsewhere.

The Christmas season was flourishing in this ‚all day Brunch‘ cafe and the warmth of food and the host was a treat.

Tourist trap, two mediocre cappuccinos and one simple toasted sandwich for 18 euros. Service was unfriendly and had a "just say it" attitude. No go.

It's full of Christmas spirit. It was Christmas Day, so not many places were open, but among the corner restaurants nearby, this one was the only one with a lot of people.

A very typical Dutch breakfast with a super pancake and a delicious omelette. The place is on a corner, overlooking a street/canal, so there's plenty of hustle and bustle to watch while you eat. I loved it!

Traveling through Europe and having not eaten anything that felt like home cooking, I went into this place without much research, I just walked in and I honestly don't regret it. I had a lamb stew and it was the most delicious, hot, and home-style food I could have ever eaten. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was family-friendly, and the food was top-notch. Yesterday, it was raining and we were hungry, so we thought we'd just pop in. The staff wasn't very friendly, but it was okay. A croquette sandwich for €9.50 might be a bit pricey, but you can expect something, which is ridiculous. My friend's panini would be better off getting a sandwich to go at Albert Heijn. The toilet was also absolutely filthy. We'll never be back; I hope the owner does something about it!

Nice cafe in a lovely location. Drink prices are high. The food isn't great; the beef stew isn't exactly worthy of its name: meat and coarsely ground onions in a thin sauce. It's a shame about this beautiful, yet not so difficult dish.

It's a 100% local, family-run restaurant. The food was delicious; we ordered lamb stew, pasta carbonara, and pasta Bolognese. Reasonable prices.

A beautiful, large, and delightfully "old-fashioned" restaurant with a (good and varied) menu for the entire day, from breakfast to dinner. We had (tender) meat dishes (goulash and stroganoff, with rice and salad, and a banana ice cream sundae for dessert). Tasty and generous portions, served by attentive, friendly, and efficient staff. Authentic, old-fashioned goodness without any fuss. Highly recommended; we'll definitely be back.

7 euros for a chocolate milk. They are not good

The pancakes tasted okay, but €17 is quite expensive for one with spinach and a little goat's cheese. It's outrageous to charge €5 for a 0.2 liter of Fanta.

The Location ist very nice, and the Flair was ok, but for 18,50€ for pancaces with strawberrys and Vanilla ice cream, i'd expect more than marbelsirup in a plastic package from a store close by and some strawberrys. To top that of, the pancace was backed in the plate from the microwave. Over al I think that this store ist a Tourist trap.

The worst place I have ever been in the Netherlands so far. Bad service. Smelly toilet. Not good food at all. The only pro is that is open until late, which is rare in the Netherlands, specially on a Sunday. Stay away from here.

Easily among the worst bitterballen I’ve ever had — either the oil was ancient or they’d been through the fryer twice. Add overpriced beers to the mix, and you’ve got the full tourist-trap experience. The Anne Frank Huis may be worth visiting, but this place isn’t. The service wasn’t really the friendliest as well.

The service was disappointing. The staff member who helped us was very rude and didn’t explain the menu properly—for example, whether dishes contained pepper or other ingredients. The food itself was not good either. Overall, I would not recommend this place.

A truly excellent restaurant. We ate a banana-chocolate crepe like we've never had anywhere else, and a truly delicious pizza. A must-try. The staff is very friendly and attentive to their customers.

Everything was delicious. We went to try the typical Dutch dishes, which are these two dishes, and they were delicious.

The fish was cold and raw. The vegetables were frozen. Our glasses weren't washed properly. Payment is only possible with cash or card. The portions are far too small for the price.

Nice decor, good quality meatballs, but the service could be improved significantly (the young girl with blue eyes was neither very pleasant nor polite). Too bad!
