The shawarma here is delicious.

I came here when I was 20, and now I've been with my 20-year-old son. The shawarma is still tasty. It's in my top 5 in the city.

They used to have real shawarma, but now it's shaved very thin, more like döner. It's a shame, I've been going there for years, and this was the first time it was disappointing...

Have been here a few times and each time the food is delicious. Would say the quality of the meat is far better than other shoarma places. The assortment of additional sauces is great. Service is friendly, personal, and efficient. The late opening hours are also a plus. I would definitely recommend!

R.i.p. Dizzinghof! You guys have gone downhill fast and I'm definitely not coming here anymore. For that price of nearly 14 euros you get a large lamb shawarma, but when you get home it looks like a small lamb one and it doesn't taste good pffff. What are you doing? You are going to lose customers, and not just a little bit either. PEOPLE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. FIND A BETTER SHAWARMA STORE.🤬

I had ordered via Thuisbezorgd and it indicated that it would take three hours. For that reason, I called them and they said they had to wait for a delivery person. A few minutes later, we were informed that they had cancelled the order.

Way too expensive compared to others. How this place has gone downhill. The taste is terrible. For decent shawarma, you're better off driving on towards Osdorp.

I’ve been coming here for 45 years, I used to live in the neighborhood, but the cat food we were served today tops everything. We ordered 4 chicken shawarma sandwiches (for 50 euros!). There is clearly a different owner. It was an incredibly salty, greasy meal with no lettuce and plastic cutlery compared to the old days, and for chicken shawarma this made no sense at all; it looked like crumbled ground meat. It is a shame for such an iconic place and all the memories we have here, but we won't be coming back. There... now to wash away that nasty salty broth taste.

This place has been around since the 90s and was already a household name in the city back then. It is nice to see that the quality remains consistent. In the middle of the night, the chicken shawarma tasted great and the service was friendly. A reliable classic!

Prices have risen bizarrely since the (now not-so-new) owner. They also make a fuss about the sauce, and the taste has deteriorated somewhat as well. Unfortunately, it used to be my favorite shawarma place.

My friend and I arrived late to our near by hotel and were afraid we wouldn't find nice food. We came in at 11pm and were very pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious and the staff are very helpful and polite, willing to chat and give advice. The portions were big and salads etc very fresh.

Honestly! Definitely the best shawarma in all of Amsterdam. Unfortunately, it's gotten quite expensive, but then again, that's true for everything in the Netherlands. If you want a delicious shawarma sandwich, Dizinghof remains the best. And when ordering takeout, just politely ask for extra sauce; they're never too stingy with it.

Ordered a Chicken Shawarma platter via Uber Eats but received a minced chicken platter instead — nothing even remotely close to shawarma or doner meat. To make matters worse, despite placing the order well in advance, no delivery driver was assigned even after 1.5 hours. The restaurant didn’t have the courtesy to call or cancel the order, so I ended up having to collect it myself in the middle of the night. For a €22 meal, the quality was far below average. What’s even more disappointing is the restaurant’s response — instead of owning up, they mocked customers, suggesting we “wear glasses next time.” Ironically, I already was wearing mine when I picked up the order. Their attitude alone ensures I won’t be returning.

Old school, real shawarma place. People over 30 will get flashbacks to the days before doner kebab was everywhere. Top place.

I visited Amsterdam for a few days and gave this place a try as a friend recommended. I ended up having it 3 nights in a row. Food was so gooood, clean and full of flavour. Customer service was amazing. I will definitely be returning when I go back to Amsterdam!

The fact that the electricity bill has doubled does not mean that prices should be doubled. This is about an abusive money grab, if people keep coming this way they will laugh their asses off. I paid €17.50 (including a €1.49 delivery fee) and was extremely disappointed with what I received. The meal included just one piece of bread, which is absurd given the amount of meat provided. The portion was completely unbalanced, and for the price, it felt like a rip-off. Definitely not worth the money!

Kom hier al jaren en ze serveren mij altijd dezelfde fijne lams shoarma schotel. Ik zou geen betere grillroom weten. Niet in Amsterdam maar ook niet in Utrecht. Mooi gekruid en gebakken plus fijne sausjes. Zeker een bezoek waard! Ga zo door Dizinghof.

Ordered shoarma speciaal with rice, got it with fries instead. Small portion for the price… Waiter said they were too busy, and the big guy offered me an extra portion of rice (not for free).

Very disappointing. The customer service is non-existent. On 2 occasions this month, I have ordered food online, waited for 45mins, only for the restaurant to finally cancel my order. I forgave them both times. “Maybe the restaurant is too busy” I told myself. That was my foolish mistake. I finally went to the restaurant in-person this week. The shoarma was dry and tasteless. The staff were not rude to me, but he made zero effort to be welcoming. The best thing about the meal was the bread, but that is clearly not the reason why i went to a shoarma restaurant. i will never return.

Groot broodje shoarma is behoorlijk aan de prijs (11 nog wat) maar smaakvol. De pita is zelfs behoorlijk goed. Je krijgt standaard een bakje ui met sambal; fris én pittig. Toch gaat mijn zoektocht naar waarachtige shoarma rond het Hoofddorpplein voort.

Sinds de nieuwe eigenaar is het schrikbarend duur geworden. Twee broodjes shoarma plus twee patat en twee cola was 40 euro. Shoarma was ook niet meer zo lekker als we gewend zijn en de bakjes saus zijn voor de helft gevuld. Wij hadden de verhalen wel gehoord maar wilden het eerst zelf ondervinden. Wij komen er niet meer! Jammer dat een begrip in Amsterdam zo om zeep is geholpen.

Leckere Essen, nur hat man das Gefühl dass sich die Einrichtung seit den 70er Jahren nicht verändert hat. Etwas Rustikal aber dennoch nett.

Ik heb onlangs een bezoek gebracht aan deze shoarma tent die echt indruk op me maakte. Niet alleen waren ze open tot laat in de nacht, maar het eten was ook fantastisch en de knoflooksoep was een van de beste die ik ooit heb gehad. De shoarma tent had een gezellige en levendige sfeer met vriendelijk personeel dat ons hartelijk begroette toen we binnenkwamen. Maar het hoogtepunt van de avond was absoluut de knoflooksoep. De soep was vol van smaak en de knoflook was precies goed, niet te overheersend maar zeker aanwezig. Het was de perfecte balans tussen romig en hartig. Over het algemeen was het een geweldige ervaring en ik kan deze shoarma tent zeker aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar heerlijk eten dat laat op de avond nog beschikbaar is. De service was geweldig, het eten was heerlijk en de knoflooksoep was zeker de kers op de taart. Ik zal zeker terugkomen!
