Café Flamingo in Oude Pijp

Excellent espresso despite not being in Italy. Excellent beer, and a friendly and helpful owner. Recommended, in the beautiful setting of the Albert Cuyp Markt.

Politely asked to watch the Curacao game instead of Germany - Ecuador after buying a drink. Scolded off and told to sit down or leave. Never coming back again. The tall Dutch waiter shall be sent off or subscribed to a waiter development programme. If he worked here enough - assumingly long and hard hours - he should have deserved some employee investment. Not sure if this is his fault or the employer’s. Kindly enroll them to a hospitality class or a self reflection workshop. Competition is quite heavy in this area, losing a client is easier than gaining one. Girls at the bar were smiling, I liked their service. Surely some cross-gender training is an option too. Please decide.

Cute little corner pub with free wifi - I love coming here granted the place doesn’t smell like fish from the market. I asked the waiter to split the bill and he responded with “preferably not” . just split the bill lil bro I’m already paying you - you’re job was not hard to begin with you aren’t walking far

What a wonderful place the Flamingo is; I've visited so often and it has never disappointed. The service, the atmosphere, and the cozy spot on the Cuyp are always top-notch. Highly recommended to step inside if you are in the area. The best spot in De Pijp!

Bad service, a very unfriendly lady. Came for the famous meatball sandwich, because I can only park on Sundays. No more food at 4:00 PM. I don't need to go there again.

The waiter was clumsy, they delivered our drinks to the wrong table and charged us for more drinks than we actually consumed. I do not recommend the experience.

Great experience, ordered a iced macchiato and it was one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. Also ordered a apple tart it wasn't too sweet and was well cooked. Staff were very friendly and the bar always had good music playing.

visited with my wife after visiting a local ‘coffee shop’. my wife chose the ‘ossenwurst’ which was incredible. there was nothing to fault with the whole experience. hole in one. unfortunately we forgot to pay and got chased down the street by the wait staff. neither myself or my better half knew how to apologise in dutch but we managed to settle up without a fuss. me and my dearest argued about this incident for a little while but it didn’t ruin what otherwise was a perfect casual dining experience. wife is certain that the food was the best she has ever tasted in her life, i think the afternoon in katsu across the road might have a part to play in this but who am i to correct the love of my life! my everything!

The Flammie is always a great spot, but Sundays are truly special. The atmosphere is super relaxed. Everyone seems to be in a good mood, the music is always great, and the staff makes you feel right at home. Perfect for ending the weekend with a beer, some friends, and good vibes. Every Sunday feels like a mini-party, without it being overcrowded. If you want to be somewhere on a Sunday, this is it!

We had breakfast there, and two days ago we had lunch. Everything was delicious, the apple pie was spectacular. And the waitress, besides being very professional and friendly, is perhaps one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. 🤭🤭🤭

We spent the whole day at Café Flamingo in Amsterdam, and it was simply fantastic! The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff super friendly, and the beer is delicious. Really one of the nicest tents in the pipe! I come here weekly, the staff is always super nice and open-minded. I also celebrated my birthday here last week, what great service. Definitely worth it if you are in the area, with a heater in winter and sun in the afternoon in summer :)

My girlfriend celebrated her birthday here and everything was arranged fantastically. The boys took good care of us, created a great atmosphere and participated in the party. If you have something to celebrate, it is definitely recommended to do it here!

One of the "staff" that was not even working at the moment was really rude, and hypocrite with us insulting for nothing being racist, really bad espirience not adviced if you are not dutch

Apparently they have something against gays. You are simply harassed by employees there because of your orientation and treated poorly. This is not worth repeating for me.

Harassed by a guest upon entering. When I spoke to him about this and indicated that I only wanted to have a drink, I was approached by the staff and treated like a criminal. A place that treats its guests as customers and that in the big city of Amsterdam where the competition is fierce.

This café has the best bartender in Amsterdam!!!

Incredible looking cafe at the famous Albert Cuyp market street. The only bad thing I could say about this place is that they don’t have apple cider.

Fantastic atmosphere! Good for a beer, no Red Bull which is a shame if you need a pick-me-up. Luckily you can talk to bartender Jaimy who always seems to be on a break! Staff very friendly and attentive. Also easily accessible with a wheelchair.

In a decision that shocks us all, the manager of De Flamingo has decided to remove the bagel from the menu and replace it with a fad: the trendy flatbread. Times are changing, but some changes are too cruel to accept. How can we noble hedgehogs ever feel complete without the warmth and comfort of our precious chicken bagel? The memories of coming together, laughing and enjoying ourselves under the pink neon lights of De Flamingo will forever be haunted by this loss. In these dark times, let us unite our spines, realizing that the power of our community is greater than any gastronomic whim. Der Service war sehr nett. Hatten einen grilled cheese Bagel, dieser war in Ordnung, würde ich aber nicht nochmal essen und erst recht nicht empfehlen. Der Kaffee war eine Katastrophe. Hatte einen café latte, dieser hat lediglich nach Milch geschmeckt. An der Färbung auf dem Foto kann man ggf. erkennen, dass das Verhältnis von Kaffee zu Milch nicht optimal war. Alles in allem gibt es viele wesentliche bessere Orte in Amsterdam. Deshalb würde ich keinen diesen Ort für ein Essen oder Brunch empfehlen. Wenn man nur ein Bier trinken möchte könnte es dennoch gut sein.

Nice relaxed bar with outside terrace at the corner of the busy Albert Cuyp market. Crowd varies heavily between busy market days vs Friday night celebration. But it's all good. Friendly and effective security guy.

Jelle is echt een super leuke barman! Verder zijn de nacho's ook wel lekker, maar mag wat meer saus bij.

Vandaag bij Café Flamingo aan de bar gezeten. Een ervaring om te herhalen! Een geweldig aanbod aan Amsterdamse bieren en de warme grillworst was om je vingers bij af te likken. Barpersoneel super vriendelijk en konden je alles vertellen over de bieren en zelfs over de buurt. Volgende keer als we in Amsterdam zijn komen we hier zeker terug!

We briefly stopped in here to try a beer from the local Brouwerij 't IJ after visiting the Albert Cuyp market. This bar is right at the centre of the market and offered a nice spot to people watch and soak up the atmosphere.

Heel relaxte sfeer, tof personeel, toplocatie.. lekkere (ook 0,0%) biertjes.. Dit wil je!

Binnen was het gezellig, maar we mochten onze biertjes niet opdrinken en werden naar buiten gestuurd zonder waarschuwing. Ze wilden eerder dicht dan normaal...

Heerlijk ontbeten met een leuk zicht op de beroemde Albert Cuypmarkt. Vriendelijke bediening die voor ons de heaters aanzette om het nog gerieflijker te maken.

Wir hatten zu viert einen schönen Platz am Fenster, zwei außen, zwei innen, was irgendwie sehr gemütlich war. Das Personal war insgesamt sehr jung, hat seinen Job aber ordentlich gemacht, aufmerksam und äußerst freundlich. Die Bagels waren top, die Tapas auch lecker. Die Biere waren jetzt nicht so ganz mein Fall, aber das ist ja Geschmacksache, gut ist, dass man verschiedene Biere in 0,1l Mengen probieren kann, da kann man dann fünf Glässchen in einer Rutsche bestellen. Nettes Lokal!

I had 1 local beer, Heineken 04ltr..and paid €6.40 Wow... in London and Berlin its cheaper although it's imported there. Considering the price the place is nothing special to warrent this. ... no recall
