Both inside and on the terrace it is wonderful, super friendly service, great for lunch and drinks

Good and special food, in the summer they have a big terrace and in the winter the conservatory is a very nice place to sit. One of my fav places to have a bite to eat with a girlfriend.

U wouldn't expect it but the food is amazing in this place. Especially the dish with the aubergines. Nice service and a nice terrace makes it a very good option for dinner with this weather.

I ordered a "chololade cake with caramel sea salt". There was a scoop of yogurt cream on top of the cake. I thought the kitchen had taken the wrong container for whipped cream, but after asking, the so-called yogurt should be on the cake. You have to love and know that. If I had known that, I wouldn't have ordered it. Otherwise a great tent

I ordered vegetarian meal without expecting much of it, but was genuinely surprised about the quality of the products used and the taste of it - it’s of a very high standards!

Had lunch at Tweede Thuys today and was very surprised! Delicious food, very cozy atmosphere, very neat, fast and friendly service! Girl who helped us today was very helpful and hospitable. We will definitely come back!! :)

sunny terrace, friendly service and delicious lunch <3

We sat outside in the sun, nicely sheltered from the wind, 30 or so people bit the waiter was totally on it. Friendly quick order taking and the food unexpectedly, because of the recipe, served fast. This was lunch, which was delicious and filling!

Very nice atmosphere, nice staff and fresh healthy dishes! One star less for food, because almost everywhere there is some dairy in the food (which I can't have). As a result, I always have to make adjustments when I eat with them.

Just came for a beer with a friend.

It looks like a very stylish place from the outside. I wanted to have fun here after shopping. I give my first score because they did not take any precautions in the winter garden against extreme heat. Secondly, I give it for fries.

One of the few places not to raise prices after covid. Great selection of drinks and food that is really a cut above what you expect (they have a good chef/owner (?). The terrace is excellent in summer, inside is cosy in winter. Ive introduced heaps of people to this place. Edit 2024: They have raised their prices, but it seems inevitable given the rise in costs. The new lunch menu has been excellent, although a few items have been removed from the menu of a few months ago. The drinks menu has also been improved, with a better srlection of wines by the glass. The staff are generally lovely except for the day manager who seems extremely unfriendly.

Such a great place to eat and meet. Had a wonderful time there. However, the chairs by the window tables are a bit stiff and uncomfortable. Small stuff to improve.

Gets very busy during the weekends. It’s a nice place to have lunch/brunch with a nice terrace and cute inside. Service is good but over the weekends sometimes you wait a little longer since there will be a lot of people. The food is nice and original.

I love Cafe Goldmund. I think of it as a kid and baby friendly place. One note for the team there: please clean the baby chairs sometimes.

Having to wait too long for a drink. They only have tap water and no spa blue or anything.

We had a very nice dinner! The dish that impressed me the most was the tomato salad. Such an amazing combination of tastes! The aubergine and zucchini dishes were also very tasty. We had a very nice and attentive waiter. It got quite busy and service slowed down. Nevertheless, our overall experience was very positive. Additional bonus is canal, sunset and parrots flying over your head.

Ive been a guest at Goldmund for many years now. Really the best restaurant in Amsterdam. It’s good for lunch meetings and some quick laptop work, having a cappuccino with friends and to have the best dinner. The service is sublime and the food is thé best. Its natural, pure, honest and very good quality food. The fish the meat, all so good. The price is so cheap for the best quality food

A really great restaurant! Delicious, varied menu and tasty wine and beers on tap. Also very nice service and nice terrace among the greenery. Gem in Amsterdam West!

I enjoyed it. The restaurant is a bit different from the norm in terms of decor, but works. Service was good and friendly and the food was great. Price reasonable. You can sit inside or in the atrium. There is also an outside area. Easy to access and in a quiet area, so perfect for a coffee or couple lunch etc

I loved both my and my partners vegetarian meal dessert. Besides the great food I love the fact that the outside area is spacious and they don't try to squeeze in as much tables as possible.

Nice terrace and big and open so ppl not close to you. Ideal in these times. I arrived just after 4 pm on Saturday (to be exact 4:07) so couldn’t order from the lunch menu. A table right off of me 2 meters came after me and were still able to order. The reason I know is the guy was jittery and getting up from his table and I observed that with my drink. I addressed it to the waitress and she said they were seated before I was. And they were the last order for the kitchen. As said in Dutch ‘het was discutabel’. I wanted a sandwich with shrimp croquette, so explained that and mentioned that I also see the croquette on the snacks card. She agreed and said yes you can still order that you just have to do a side order of bread. I responded coyly hmmm, it’s the same thing but now I just have to pay more for the same product. I decided not to order and was waiting for another friend for a drink but was so hungry I ended up ordering fries. It was tasty a bit too much salt tho. All in all a nice place to visit but when a little iffy comes into play as above I’m inclined to kinda lay low from a place for a while based on my experience & feeling there. Besides there are enough nice terraces in that area so all good.

Good place for lunch. Friendly staff, healthy food, good coffee. Falafel salad and smashed avocado are the favorites. You can also sit outside.

Blessed with this spot in the Baarsjes. Best to share a few starters not to miss out on their great entrees(often a unique combo of some veggies with a cheese/fish). Their mains are always of high quality and have hints of the Dutch cuisine combined with Mediterranean flavours. We have been going to this restaurant a bunch of times but only recently discovered their desserts, pistachio tiramisu was our favourite 🤗

Small but very fine menu with high quality dishes. Very different food and there is something for everyone. The atmosphere is very pleasant, right on the water and few tourists. My meal with asparagus, wild garlic, polenta and buffalo mozerella was very tasty.

Have loved every meal I have had here, and have chosen to come for date night, friends from out of town visiting and always feels like a treat while being a chill atmosphere. Always have had tasty pasta selections, drinks and been taken care of well. The space itself also feels good to be in, with the bright open glass, art and the terrace in the sun.

Once again we had a delicious meal at Goldmund. You have a great chef! The lemon polenta is recommended and the crab cake is also a taste explosion. Furthermore, very nice and friendly staff.

This is gold, right?! Cozy vibe? Check! Good drinks menu? Check! All you need for a great evening at Goldmund are a few friends. And if you don't have one, bring a book so you can sit at a table in a quasi-mysterious way while sipping your hazy IPA. My recommendation is the Galipette cider: so delicious that I could drink 100 of them!

Nice place for lunch. You can sit comfortably there (light, acoustics), the service is good and the lunch was delicious. Reserved a table in the glass front (a mistake was made with the reservation, but after a few minutes we were able to go to the table). Recommended!

Once again a fantastic meal, a real taste explosion, with a chef who knows what he/she is doing! We had the vegetarian dishes melanzane (stuffed eggplant) with burrata and breaded portobello with topinam bur, and they were very good and different from last time. First the roasted cauliflower with pakora rings. Nice service in a very nice atmosphere, dog friendly. Summery and nice terrace.

Too few staff: no contact with the guests and when the time finally came, we had to wait so long for our second drink that we paid after more than half an hour. Not even a comment or apology was made by the staff.

I have been there with some friends for dinner. We had the Hummus and Falafel, mushrooms in tempura, beef tataki, ravioli and Melanzane. I didn’t expect the food to be so good!! We enjoyed every bite of each dish that we ordered!

Was there with two other friends. We had so much fun! The food was amazing, even though from the look of it you wouldn't think so - such a culinary experience and not even expensive (considering the amount of food we ordered)! Highly recommend - and do order starters, main and deserts. You will not regret it! We were 'wowed'! Will definitely visit again.

That will change😉 Lunch mmenu has interesting selections and broad choice of beverages - both non and alcoholic variaties. I choose the ginger &carrot soup which camme with aside of bread. Is there another word that is above delicious? Beautiful presentation, so flavourful and silky. For smmall appetites -it is a mmeal in itself🤗 I will be sure to recommend Café Goldmmine😁 -I mmean Goldmund💯

Super friendly staff who effectively serve you very well tasting dishes quickly with a smile. Dishes look great and flavors are perfect, way beyond the 'cafe' name would suggest. The quantity of the food will contribute significantly to your diet goals of the day however. Recommended for the flavors!

I absolutely adore this place. A seasonal and perfectly composed menu for meat lovers and vegetarians. Dishes served in a beautiful way. Kind and attentive staff. Atmospheric vibe with cozy music. We are regulars at Goldmund and I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a cozy time whether it is just to chill out, celebrate something or eat out.

Restaurant quality but with café vibe & prices. Informal, casual, cozy, relaxed, small menu, responsive service, just right portions, high quality cooking, fair wine pricing, excellent price/quality ratio. Not what you would expect from Amsterdam at all! Highly recommended.

Blij verrast door deze plek met heerlijk eten. Alles van het gerecht was ontzettend goed en lekker bereid (parelhoen filet). De pistache tiramisu was ook een verrassende combi. De porties waren goed in verhouding kwa smaak en prijs. Ik ben heel benieuwd naar de rest van de kaart!

One of my favourite places in the neighborhood. When the sun is out, the terrace is the place to be. Good prices, friendly staff and a nice menu that changes every few months.

Everything was and incredible good experience of "What is quality" : presentation, taste... the personal is LOVELY and they care for all the details. The chef is DEFINITELY an artist. THB, there's no words to define one experience that must be lived.

Zéér lekker eten. Een Mediterraans/Midden-Oosterse kaart. Wij probeerden de shakshuka en de melanzane, beiden erg smaakvol. De porties zijn niet heel groot maar met het brood en de dips die je erbij krijgt is het prima. Terras naast een redelijk drukke weg maar wel afgeschermd en lekker in de zon. Vriendelijke bediening. We komen hier graag nog eens iets proberen. Update oktober 2023: hier gebruncht met de wentelteefjes, HEERLIJK! Ze zijn dus niet alleen goed in hartige gerechten maar ook in zoet. Eén van mijn favoriete tentjes in West. Bediening was wat langzaam / niet zo alert vandaag, wel heel vriendelijk.

Really nice food! I was positively surprised by the ingenious combinations of flavours. The menu changes regularly. The octopus starter was the only one that was a miss. The melanzane stole the show.

Bonito lugar para tomarse algo (oferta pequeña pero sorprendentemente conveniente: hamburguesas, sándwiches, refrescos, tés, ensaladas y dulces a parte de café y cervezas - las de moda -). Recomendable para serenas tardes con amigos, compañeros de trabajo y familiares; no tanto como para citas de pareja, no obstante.

Food is really good! But the staff is absolutely horrible! They are super snobby and if you sit outside good luck trying to catch their attention.. 😂👍🏽

Heerlijk in de zon geluncht, op een leuk terras aan het water. Er staan leuke en lekkere gerechten op de kaart. Met je favoriete lunch gerechten (burrata, tuna melt, smashed avocado), maar dan met een creatieve twist. We hadden de burrata en de cilbir, deze waren heerlijk! Ik zou dit plekje zeker aanraden aan vrienden (en zelf terugkomen).

Heel eerlijk ik had niet zo’n lekker eten verwacht in een cafe. Super keuken!

Great service and the food was perfect which for me to state is big. We had Albacore cooked to perfection with surrounding garnish of potatoes and red pepper with fennel. The dish was perfect

Geweldig mooie plek! Superlekker eten en erg vriendelijke bediening. Had al veel goeie verhalen over Goldmund gehoord, nu eindelijk zelf eens uitgeprobeerd en het was nóg beter dan verwacht. Ik kom zeker terug!

The food is incredible. The flavor and consistence are perfect. The only issue is the quantity. Add 100g to the main courses and then it’s worth more than 5 stars !

Fijn terras aan het water. Heb er al eerder gelunched en geborreld, en nu in de avond. Kleine maar gevarieerde kaart, en alles vers bereid. De melanzane was heerlijk. Daarbij ook nog leuke ontspannen bediening… aanrader
