Decently priced for Amsterdam. The Kramer Katsu sandwich for 15.50 was very good. The staff was very polite and welcoming; they were out of room when we arrived, and they allowed us to sit at the bar even without ordering drinks.

Cute little spot to have delicious breakfast right on the canal. The cat was a wonderful hostess.

Food was excellent. Service was personable. Literally the best meal I ate in Amsterdam. Steak was perfect, salad being so good was a nice surprise! And price was reasonable.

Cosy, hand cut fries, good service.

We have been waiting for 30 minutes to get our beers. After they forgot our meet order and for a second time they forgot our second beer. It seemed as we could not be angry and service asking if we still want our order!!! I don’t know if it was not their day but they did not please us with our stay.

Great little corner cafe for a libations and victuals in Amsterdam! I was tired of walking & energy was spent after a wonderful time at the Van Gogh museum. Initially, I had designs for an outdoor table which were filled before I strolled to the cafe. Undaunted, I went indoors for a table. My feet were glad and I was treated to a great meal with good beer. And, I met the resident feline. The chicken satay with salted & fries was perfect.

Extremely rude and disrespectful staff. We politely asked to use the restroom and agreed to pay when more than one of us needed it — no problem. Yet after paying and leaving politely, we were still called “rude.” The toilets themselves were smelly and unhygienic. As international guests, we expected at least basic courtesy. Instead, we left with the impression that this place lacks both hospitality and respect.

Very nice place to rest after a visit to a museum or just sightseeing, the food is good and the staff is very kind. In the good season you can sit outside.

This place was appalling, went in for a drink on a hot day to be spoken to like rubbish. Wouldn’t even recommend to a single person, was told to come to the bar to order, waited there to be told you wait at the table. We returned to our seats to then wait for a server, a server came over and just asked 1 person what they wanted, which we thought they can’t carry many drinks then?? The server came back with one drink and asked anything else, I then said my drink order to be told are you doing orders one by one or something in such a rude way, then to top it off didn’t even bother doing our drinks. We had enough and walked out to go to a store to get a bottle of drink. This was the worst place we’ve been to in Amsterdam and we’ve been in many shops as we have been stopping getting drinks in many places.

My worst experience in a restaurant in Amsterdam and in the Netherlands. The manager doesn't like foreigners... but doesn't say no to their money 😉 It's been going for years and will never change.

We visited this café around 12:30 and had a wonderful experience. The food was very tasty, the coffee was excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A place with a warm atmosphere that makes you want to come back.

A very cozy little restaurant just outside of Amsterdam's city center. Super friendly service, which was probably one of the owners. The resident cat, Jon Pir'e, also contributes to the atmosphere. The menu is concise and straightforward, but sufficient, and the beer is good. This, too, was recommended by the waitress. We were able to try bitterballen for the first time here! We'll definitely be back if we find ourselves back here.

Wow, what a cool staff working here this summer! Fun atmosphere, excellent and cold beer and delicious eggplant parmigiana and burgers! Came back the next day for the gorgeous apple cake straight from the local bakery! Thanks Café Kramer!

We had a delicious Caesar salad, with plenty of meat. There was also a selection of tasty fruit juices to drink, including pear juice. The service was friendly. It's also beautifully situated.

A nice little cafe in downtown Amsterdam. The atmosphere is great. The staff is friendly. The food was good, and you should definitely try the croquettes.

Nice coffee. Unfortunately, half of our order was "forgotten" and only arrived after the other dishes had been eaten. The food arrives inconsistently; while one person is almost finished, another is just getting theirs. The Caesar salad had hardly any dressing and was missing the walnuts. The chicken is unfortunately frozen and not fresh. Very, very dry and hard. The sandwich was good, but the menu should have mentioned the garlic it contains (for intolerance). The side salad had no dressing at all and was inedible. The outdoor seating is nice. The service is okay. The outdoor seating is very sporadic, and you have to be lucky to see someone outside.

Pipo the clown was complaining that we didn't tip enough…

Restaurant to avoid, bitter and rude waitresses, bordering on racist! Speaks badly of customers with her colleagues in front of the customers! We asked for change when we left to pay, the waitress threw the change at us on the bar! Not to mention that she charged us for bottles of water that she never served us during the entire meal. I do not recommend at all!

Lasagna was small and cold, Ceasar salad - ok, but for me too much pepper

I liked everything I had smoked salmon sandwich on this great bread that has nuts and seeds on it and it was delicious and the beer and the atmosphere was great.

The food was great. We ordered the lasagna. It was a bit small and dry, but not terrible. The ham and cheese with a fried egg on top was FANTASTIC. Service was okay, but they were pretty busy running around. Great patio for people watching

Had never been there before, had been going there for 35 years! But yesterday I ate coffee and toasted sandwiches. All very relaxed. Very friendly relaxed service. Small minus that applies to almost everything in Mokum, the toilet is outdated, it really needs to be renovated and there is always that pointless graffiti on the walls and door. That can and must be done differently! But great place anyway!

Everything takes a very long time. Many mistakes are made and 6 euros for an IPA beer. And half a liter on tap costs about 12 euros...

Pleasantly busy and delicious simple meals for a great price.

We ordered a vegetarian dish which at the moment it was served contained meat. We thus asked the personnel to change it with a vegetarian option (as they made the mistake) and they were disorganised and unfriendly to us. Eventually, we waited for more than 45 minutes for a small snack and when we asked for updates on our order the personnel mocked us with very sad sarcasm, without apologising for their initial mistake and then important delay. Not recommended

You have to ask twice for everything, the food comes before the drinks and the service is generally bad

I would like to share my experience. This Thursday, December 26, we came to the restaurant before dinner to have an aperitif, then we returned after dinner to have a digestive. The team is very nice, they are very attentive. Special mention to the toilets which are equipped with feminine hygiene products but also hair products, unheard of in France at the moment. Keep it up, you're on the right track.

Stopped by for some beers after dinner. Friendly bartenders, great service. Keep an eye out for JeanPierre "JP" the house cat!

Welcoming cafe, pleasant environment and good selection.

Lovely bar on the corner and there were a lot of people when we visited so must be a good sign! Lots of beers and drinks to choose from as well as snack type food and main meals. It is very cosy and is table service. Staff are friendly and hard working, we had a great time.

Great place ti have lunch overlooking the canal. We had Eggs Benedict with salmon that were exquisite, a very tasty tomato soup and giant croquettes, served on brown bread as requested. We didn’t expect the croquettes to be quite so big, but their filling was yummy, mushroom and cheese we think. Relationship price-quality was good.

€10 for a mojito that tastes like water with a bit of soaked mint, tourist trap, it hasn't even been crushed

The employees were friendly and relaxed. We enjoyed the food, the decor was rustic and comfortable and to our surprise, we had furry visitors. A cat. This was definitely a highlight for us, but anyone who has an allergy will probably be less happy. 😉

Amsterdam hospitality at its best! Bad luck with the sloop, let's get some croquette sandwiches. The bartender points us to van dobben croquettes, around the corner. Then I got a coffee-to-go and had a pee. Kindness for your own gain, priceless! Smile on my face! 👍🏻😍
