Yes, great service and friendly staff

Ordered 2 chicken club sandwiches and pancakes and fries for the kids, there was nothing wrong with that. The club sandwiches came without chicken, when this was indicated they went back and 2 slices of chicken fillet were thrown in which were ice cold and please. When the waiter asks if everything is as expected and we indicate that if one sandwich costs €15.5, they should at least have a fried egg on it and they should at least expect the bacon to be freshly fried. Whereupon the waiter indicates that I will see what I can do for you...?! Then an even bigger mockery is that we simply hear that the service tells the cook this, and the cook, who clearly cannot handle criticism, smartly says; I still had 2 slices of chicken fillet! What a mockery and so not professional because you are standing in an open kitchen. Then coming back to “seeing what I can do for you” Well, exactly nothing, this pile of irritation cost us €62 Not recommended!

There are places where you go for a drink and end up staying for dinner — Café Neuf in Zandvoort is one of them. This cozy grand café combines the relaxed atmosphere of a beach bar with the quality of a good restaurant. The menu is surprisingly extensive. From well-filled lunch sandwiches to serious dinners that the chef really pays attention to. The steak tartare was perfectly seasoned, and the homemade satay deserves its own fan club. Don't forget the dessert, because the lady blanche here is exactly as it should be: creamy, rich and with a warm chocolate sauce that will leave you speechless. The service is friendly and sharp, and the terrace is a wonderful place to people watch while enjoying a Neuf Special or a good glass of wine. In short: Café Neuf is the ideal mix of casual atmosphere and seriously good food. Highly recommended for anyone who visits Zandvoort — or secretly makes a special detour for it.

Hele leuke avond gehad met mijn man. Een hele fijne sfeer. Lekkere cocktails en een ruime keus aan wijn. De dinerkaart is ook goed. De Steak tartaar en Tonijn Taco’s zijn echt een aanrader! Absoluut voor herhaling vatbaar.

Van begin tot einde een super goede ervaring. Van het ontvangst tot het vertrek alles goed geregeld. De bediening was super goed en vriendelijk, met veel kennis over de wijnen en de gerechten. Het eten was van goede kwaliteit. Bij vertrek werden we vriendelijk bedankt door zowel het bedienend personeel als de chefs in de keuken. Wij komen hier zeker terug!

Simply put: excellent!! Sweet girls in the service, attentive and service-oriented. Carpaccio with bread was fantastic. Generous portion: the carpaccio hung over the plate. Dressing on the carpaccio was also super tasty. Coffee also excellent! Only minor criticism: the whipped cream with the homemade apple pie should also have been homemade. But yeah, not a main issue.

What a wonderful place, a good atmosphere, a beautiful decor, the food (lunch) was fantastic with a very good price/quality ratio! In short, worth repeating!

Ate here at the end of January. Prices are expensive for what you get, we were also served RAW chicken. Service took a long time while there were few people in the restaurant. Very unfortunate.

We visited for a Valentine’s Day dinner and were seated on high chairs at a large shared table. We were informed that only a set menu was available, with no à la carte options. While the vibe was charming with roses and live music, the volume was a bit overwhelming. Unfortunately, the food was average at best, and the €160 bill felt excessive for such a mediocre dining experience.

Café Neuf is very bad at serving wine, not much for a lot of money, then suddenly they are strict about small dogs that are not allowed on your lap and must remain on the floor. Like yesterday service, all young stuff, no understanding at all and then take it off from the previous review how bad it was, that says enough about this store, I will never come there again, I will be removed again then I will put this on again, what a sad restaurant, café not recommended in Zantvoort

We had a drink there, I got a glass of wine that had barely any wine in it, I had it taken back and I said give me a Jagermeister, she came with a shot glass in which it was poured, it was lukewarm and should be cold. are The price is certainly not worth what I got for this, super bad, we were going to eat but decided against it The beers were good

What a cozy cafe, nice staff, dogs welcome. Open every day, so if you are in Zandvoort I would definitely recommend this café.

Nice and cozy furnishings. We were offered bread with our meal. We thought: ooh, how nice. That is also customer-friendly. However, unfortunately this was later stated on the receipt and we were not told this. The manager was not open to a solution. Unfortunately, after an unnecessary discussion, a cup of coffee was finally offered with pain and effort. This whole hassle was not necessary and the communication could have been much better. The food was fine and hot and the fries were very tasty.

A grand café that deserves the name

Update 29/Jul/2024. Now re-born and probably under new management! Service has returned at last: prompt and courteous. Although the orange juice was not fresh, as requested, but bottled, it was better than nothing. The place was very busy like the good old days. We look forward to our return! The following is now superseded. This place has collapsed in terms of service and ambience since it has changed from its former guise as The Cafe Neuf. We used to enjoy coming here most week-ends during the summer months but no longer! The last time I visited I sat on the patio for 15 mins; no one came to serve me so I went inside and sat at the bar. I was ignored there too and did not enjoy the noise of the cutlery being thrown into the receptacle. I noticed the the flat-screen TV had gone (my friends and I used to meet here regularly for the F1 GPs). After 10 mins I gave up and walked out - so I cannot truly comment on the food and service - there was none! Avoid!

Nice to have Neuf back, it's part of Zandvoort. Boring lunch menu and after a long wait the hamburger turned out to be raw and I was done with it.

Ate here today with friends, the business has just been open for 2 months with a new owner with the old name, so I hope this trend continues! The service was very nice and so was the atmosphere. Definitely recommended and don't look at the old reviews, try this, you won't regret it!!

Nieuwe eigenaren en t voelt meteen vertrouwd. Heerlijk eindelijk weer terug te kunnen gaan om bij t “stamcafe” te kunnen genieten van het uitzicht, perfecte bediening, veel gezelligheid en een uitstekende kaart. Het weer werkte niet mee, het internet werkt een beetje tegen ( nee, ze zijn NIET gesloten maar open) , want storingen, maar een absolute aanwinst voor ons dorp. Dank Misha, dat jullie het voor ons mogelijk maken om “ouderwets” te genieten. Tot snel.

I already been there one year ago and despite a poor service the food was good. Now they changed the concept and the name. The menu more dutch style but the service...OMG it even worst than 1 year ago. Last time the guy was alone but he was informing the guest about the situation in a very polite way, i understand it. But today the girl at the bar and another waiter proposely avoid eyes contact, not only with us, no a "goodafternoon", no explication, we were completely ingnored for more than 25 minutes. Result: we left, together with other 2 tables that got the same bad service like us

First we sat outside on the terrace, no one came out to serve. After 15 minutes we were moved inside where we were helped well by friendly staff. Nice place, but the service on the terrace needs to be monitored more closely

The basic components of the meal were well put together, but unfortunately one or two things weren't right. The carpaccio was good. The tomato soup was good. Unfortunately, the garlic on the shrimp in oil was completely burnt and therefore very bitter. The burger had good meat, but the sauce wasn't tasty and overall very bland. It wasn't so nice to see the "cook" fixing his hair and then immediately touching the food. No go! The waiter was very friendly and helpful. It would also have been very nice if the fireplace had been lit properly, as it was very cold and you started to freeze due to the long wait for food.

Attractive restaurant, had a great lunch

The satay (meat) was good but not really warm. The satay sauce was very thin and watery, more like diarrhea. The sambal steak was cold inside. Indicated to the waiter that the food was not good, his answer was: yes, the sauce is indeed too watery and we can heat up the steak (microwave)......and he was gone.....Later the complaint again. expressed to another waiter: he found it very annoying for us and as compensation we received 3 cappuccinos and 1 coffee. Conclusion Café Neuf is no longer what it used to be and in any case we will pass by it from now on.

One star, but only for the extremely friendly waiter. The food came to the table quite quickly, a maximum of 10 minutes. The schnitzel for everyone, theoretically one portion of fries per person. There were two loveless, thick, partly unchewable pieces of veal in thin breading per plate. There was also an inedible pepper sauce that tasted very bitter on the finish. After eating the first schnitzel, ONE portion of fries with a little mayo came. Unfortunately, the second portion promised on the menu for each main course never arrived. Sad at 21 euros per dish. Fries were edible but rather mediocre. The only beer is Warsteiner, and fortunately also Radler. The request for this was not fulfilled with every repeat order. A total of 70 euros for two people was absolutely not worth it, we went home extremely sad. Not recommendable!

That was the first but also the last time I had to wait 1 hour for the food, what a terrible experience!!!!

Top restaurant in the center of Zandvoort, with a beautiful interior and cozy terrace! The food is good, and suitable for a quick bite to eat, but also when you have something to celebrate. We had dinner at Cafe Neuf with our company (30 people), and everything was perfectly arranged. I definitely recommend a visit to Cafe Neuf!

The (new) commitment at Grand Café Neuf is really interesting and very nice! A card that is useful to everyone and staff who are happy to think along with you. This will definitely be one of my regular tents!

Living room atmosphere, very relaxed and accessible. We are not the only ones who discovered the restaurant, because it is pleasantly busy and there is a continuous flow. The food is very tasty and you can play pool between courses. We will definitely come back again.

Very disappointed, mediocre cuisine, when you are asked for 4 euros to have fries with your dish, and you receive fat, no edible fries, just residue of black fries 😡this is unacceptable. I made the remark, I was still deducted one fries out of two from the bill. But how can we serve customers such a thing??? Come and learn how to make fries with us Belgians 😂. As for the rest of the dish ordered, it wasn't great either. To flee...

Nice new addition to Zandvoort! Glad they're back. Location and decoration are top. A few points of constructive criticism, the reason for this? This place and concept have potential and I would love to see you succeed! • Hot chicken sandwich had good taste, correct garnish and presentation. However, the amount of chicken was on the low side. This means that the P/E ratio is out of balance. • Try to make the drinks menu a little more interesting. Example: Home made ice tea or lemonade for the summer. Special hot chocolate with caramel syrup, Nuttela or Oreo flavor for the winter. • You have a nice, varied team in the ministry. One thing we missed was the village feeling. This is why we love Zandvoort and enjoy living here. Have a chat at the table about the weather, a casual atmosphere. If you pay a little more attention to this, you will really become the living room of Zandvoort! Last tip. You have a very cozy room with a pool table, dart board, etc. Offer a group package with snacks and drinks per person or fixed price. Location particularly suitable for company outings, friends' evenings, bachelor parties, etc. Do what suits you best with this information. The intention is good! Omen near a very nice tent, in a cozy place with a no-nonsense menu with a lot of potential!

Great that it's Café Neuf again! Very nice that the Zandvoort hotel room is back, and that everyone can enjoy the coziness and warm feeling in this café. The food is super tasty, the terrace is great (especially when the sun is shining 😉) and the staff is also very nice. Everything has become much more accessible, which was a good move. Very satisfied!

Wonderfully nice to just sit with a nice glass of wine, a more than tasty burger and good company. Very successful and by the way that Neuf burger is really great!!!

So sad. The interior looks quite nice and in combination with the prices for the dishes this seemed to be a high quality spot for dining. But we would not recommend this place, cause several things happened: The waitress served the wrong drinks twice and told us, that she write it down right, but her colleagues gave her the wrong ones (not that funny if you want alcohol free and get it with alcohol instead). A friend ordered meatballs. She came back several minutes later and told him that today they only got vegan meatballs. He said he didn't want them anymore. She wanted someone else of us to take them instead, but no one wanted which seemed a but annoying for her. I got sushi and the preparation took about half an hour. I waited for the others to get the burgers, but even after 15 more minutes they were not ready and also in the kitchen Noone was working any more. We asked when the order would be made. They noticed a mistake and the boss told us, that the dishes would all be standing on the table in 5-10 minutes. In total we had to wait 21 more minutes and very sadly the burgers were a bit small and also the quality and taste was not worth the high price. So sad cause we came there to have a mice evening with a bigger group and it ended with us all very very hungry (waiting for about 1,5 hours for burgers and fries).

I've never been to such a bad restaurant! The prices are very high and have nothing to do with the quality! We waited more than an hour for a burger & we were promised that the food would be on the table... we had to wait an incredibly long time because our order was forgotten! The burger tasted like it was put together quickly and it was already cold. Best to avoid this restaurant!!!!

We haven't eaten so badly in a long time! The waiter did his best and the terrace of the restaurant is also nice. Unfortunately the food doesn't even deserve one star. Why such a bad rating? Just read it to the end and it will explain itself. As a starter we had the following: BREAD with MISO – BUTTER EDAMAME in SPICY DRESSING SASHIMI PLATTER, SLICED SALMON – SLICED TUNA – KIZAMI WASABI – GINGER The salmon was as poorly cleaned as we have seen in the last 10 years. All the brown/gray oil was still on the salmon fillet...really miserable. Afterwards we had a RIB EYE STEAK for 2, CHIMICHURRI – SPICY SALSA with fries and salad. For the price, the portion size was really a joke, about 200-250g for 2 people, see picture. The amount of salad or side dishes was also far too small for two people. In addition, the food was ice cold. The two service employees were more occupied with their cell phones than with the four occupied tables.

Top sushi, the mix of Peruvian-Japanese was exceptional and extremely tasty.

It was an all-round successful evening with great service and delicious food. An absolute must to eat there.

Very friendly, attentive staff, a somewhat unusual combination of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine for us, but EVERYTHING was sensationally delicious. From edamame to padron, gyosa, black angus steak and gnocci, everything is cooked to perfection and lovingly prepared. Mega selection of wines - I had an alcohol-free gin. The topping was dessert! Grilled pineapple, coconut ice cream and a fluffy cheesecake!! (Uuuuh!!) Unfortunately, we allowed ourselves to be influenced by the negative reviews here and “dared” to do it too late. The “Marū” is not a snob restaurant, high quality food in a nice atmosphere at reasonable prices. We felt very comfortable in the constant rain, even on the covered terrace, and it is our first stop when we are there again. Many thanks to the team for this experience - for everyone else: there is enough fast food nearby. PS.: We couldn't take any photos because of the palate ecstasy... 😉

Excellent food with an oriental touch to everything

Without exaggeration the best sushi I have ever eaten. Service was very nice and the atmosphere was very pleasant despite the constant rain outside.

This restaurant had a refreshing menu! The fusion of Peruvian and Japanese made it very interesting. We started with chicken karaage and then we had small tacos with steak tartare. The sushis were also very tasty. The one with mango was especially tasty. The restaurant is not very cheap, but I thought it was more than worth it!

There were 6 of us and we shared many dishes. Each one was really special and super tasty. The waiter was extremely friendly, took his time with us and answered all of our questions about the individual dishes. It was so delicious that we even ordered a second round and had to try every dessert at the end because we didn't want to miss anything :) The drinks were also great, from red wine to non-alcoholic cocktails, everything was really perfect. Had a really great evening and went back for a nightcap the next evening.

This is the second time we have eaten at Marû and again the food was great. Beautifully presented and very tasty. The service was pleasant and, above all, very attentive in indicating which dishes could and could not be chosen due to allergies. The interior is beautiful. In the summer everyone sits on the terrace and you can't see the beautiful bar, but it wouldn't look out of place as a luxurious cocktail bar. So we are enthusiastic, it shows. All in all, highly recommended and more than comparable to Haarlem's Table24, Colette or ML Brasserie. Zandvoort has a very nice restaurant!

We stayed here a few times with 6-8 people during our Zandfoort vacation. The service was excellent (it was my birthday and I got a spray fountain), the food was fantastic. It's easy to recommend. You feel extremely comfortable here and feel welcome! Also 6 stars. We are coming again next year.

Everything you can think of during our visit to this restaurant went wrong. Starter: the burata salad, much too salty. Main course the beef satay was lukewarm and very tough. The main courses at our table arrived half an hour apart due to timing in the kitchen being dramatically poor and in my opinion overpriced for the service and quality of the food. One of the worse catering experiences I've had.

Unfortunately we were treated very unkindly by the waiter. We waited patiently and made 3-4 attempts to politely ask the waiter where we could sit. The waiter just called out to us in single words to tell us to wait and didn't let us finish. We were really looking forward to the evening, had reserved a table and then left in frustration because we felt like we were disturbing the waiter. When we said goodbye, we were rudely told that we should please leave now. Totally a shame! The sometimes good food reviews don't help with this experience.

After having to wait about 10 minutes, we got a table outside at around 8 p.m. Our orders were also taken fairly quickly. However, we then had to wait about 80 minutes for our starter and then another 35 minutes for our sushi. The food itself was very good, although unfortunately the portions were rather small. So if you want to eat something great here, you should be not hungry but have a lot of patience.

Absolutely delicious. Underrated restaurant. We stayed on the Sushi side and were pleasantly surprised. The - usually simple - Edamame were extremely tasty, served warm, with oil, lemon flavour, salt & pepper. Great! All three kinds of Sushi had a special touch, a finesse to it. Delicious. Not to forget a really great wine. An oasis in a town focused on tourists. Do not miss the chance to have some great food.
