Very good cafe and restaurant. Very good and generous dishes. Service was slow due to two servers and a constant crowd.

The location was excellent, with a pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff. The toasted sandwich was tasty, although adding some raw vegetables might have enhanced the experience. The selection of beers, both on tap and in bottles, was diverse.

Hay tantos zapatos de café - cuerno en esta área que IT es difícil de elegir, pero nos gustó el aspecto pasado de moda y madera, interior tradicional, además de que no es una cadena. De todos modos, el Club Sandwich que teníamos - para compartir - bien valió la pena en calidad y cantidad. Servicio rápido también. Muy recomendable.

Friendly service and tasty drinks

A sunny Wednesday afternoon a quick lunch. Very busy on the terrace so we looked for a spot inside. Fast and attentive service. Our choice for lunch was also delivered quickly. Repeatedly asked if everything was to our liking. Lunch as expected.

We came to this restaurant for lunch and had a few drinks. We waited for hours to order... We felt like losers. ... Even to pay it was hard to get the attention of a waiter... Skip this restaurant.

My all time favourite cafe in Utrecht. The vibe, the location. The friendly people working there. Menu is simple and good!. Been there for many years and has a lot of history to it. Used to be two separate bars. One called Orloff and one called Bartjes. If you want to get out of shopping and meet true Utrecht vibe.. go over here and just enjoy

Ok bar for a beer. Expect nothing fancy or special. Busy place on a street crossing, could be labelled "gezellig", but for staff it's just some students earning a few bucks on the side. Nothing wrong with that, but it does not warrant more than three stars.

We ordered drinks and asked for some tap water on the side - they charged 5€ for it. The waitress also threw a drink over my jacket. Quite a sad day but a cute location. Also they closed the marquise (?) whilst it wasn’t even sunny, it just got dark. Sad day.

A good place to hang out with some friends. We had not a reservation and got a table for two in a saturday night what it's rare in Utrecht.

Grabbed lunch here (Mackerel salad). It was very delicious. The staff were quick at getting the order, serving food and making sure that we had everything we needed. The restaurant was cosy and a bit busy but you could still manage to read a book by yourself if you wanted to. I recommend this place

My husband and I went for dinner on a weekday night. Dutch cafes are characterized by the fact that you can also order solid meals. After eating salmon salad, satay, and fish and chips, we were already full. I'm very satisfied! Dick Bruna's favorite seat is the one on the right side of the entrance, with a plate embedded in the table. When I asked the clerk when I was paying, there was a customer sitting next to me, so I couldn't take a photo.

Recently sat here. Very beautiful building, but unfortunately the service leaves something to be desired. Several times waiting with empty glasses and having to come to the bar while the staff was chatting with 3 people. Nachos were really mediocre, mainly chips for about 11 euros. We didn't feel completely comfortable in this cafe and we didn't click with the staff. Unfortunately not recommended.

Slechte ervaring gaat gelukkig alleen over 1 lid van de bediening. Ik was met gezin en mijn zoon van 24 werd gevraagd naar ID toen hij biertje bestelde. Dit had hij niet dus geen bier. Ik liep vervolgens naar binnen en zei dat ik het wel jammer vind omdat ik al meer dan 20 jaar terras bezoek en nooit iemand heb horen vragen naar ID. De desbetreffende ober legde nogmaals uit dat zij bij twijfel onder 25 jaar ID moet vragen. Dus einde discussie. Helaas bemoeide zijn vrouwelijke collega zich nog even ermee door te zeggen dat zij er al 3 jaar werkte en mij nog nooit had gezien. Totaal overbodig om mij nog even als leugenaar te bestempelen. Bij afrekenen heb ik nog even aantal betalingen bij Orloff laten zien van de laatste 10 jaar

Brilliant cafe.....We wished we'd gone sooner in our trip. Went for late breakfast & coffee.......We had the 'Cafe Orloff breakfast', which was great! Very relaxed, can sit inside or sit outside and watch the world go by. Great friendly service from staff. 🙌🏾

Outdoor seating. No canal view. On a pedestrian street. Nice vibe. Lots of bars in the vicinity with people watching possibilities. Only downside was incessant bell ringing. We are here at 4.40pm. Bells ringing since we arrived, must be 15 minutes. Cute for 5 mins but irritating after.

A top cozy cafe and terrace. Was there once with a great friend from Schoonhoven days. Simple lunch served with delicious rosé. Service friendly, attentive and fast. And yes, Utrecht is also a great city and very pleasant. Café & City Recommendations!

Delicious lunch menu at Orloff, not too complicated, everything in the right quantity. The 12 hour (non-vegetarian) is highly recommended! Mackerel salad, here they have it. Club sandwich where the egg is still lukewarm, everything nice and fresh. Beautiful location and fast and friendly staff.

We had a delicious lunch here on Liberation Day. It was nice and quiet inside and the service was very friendly. The food was tasty and the portions were sufficient. Price-quality excellent. Toilets could use some more attention. The ladies' trash can is broken, the floor was wet. Therefore 4/5 stars.

Very sweet and interesting corner in the already beautiful and with its unique character Utrecht central area. Always smiling and kind , helpful staff , both the inside of the cafe but also the outside tables have their own style and character. Both the drinks and food/snacks menu covers all the taste / diet / allergies/ vegan choices and options ( and is also available in any language needed through scanning the QR code . 10/10 I would recommend the iced coffee , apple pie and the burger !!

We visited Orloff Café only for coffee and dessert; we ordered apple pie with whipped cream for dessert and it was delicious. We spent around €18 for two persons. We loved the atmosphere and the decoration of the place. The lady who served us was very helpful and polite, always smiling. Recommended!

Ik was verbaasd hoe slecht de service naar klanten was. Bij binnenkomst kreeg een dame voor mij kortaf te horen dat ze niet kon reserveren. Op zich het noemen niet waard, maar gezien onze ervaring toch wel. Ik wist een plekje te bemachtigen, en dronk een cappuccino terwijl ik op mijn lunchdate wachtte. Die cappuccino was werkelijk heerlijk. Mijn medeluncher arriveerde, we werden niet geholpen. De bediening liep vakkundig nietsziend voorbij en voorbij. Naast ons zaten een oudere dame en haar dochter. De dame gaf bij het personeel aan dat ze op een stoel zat die wel erg wiebelde. De betreffende medewerker deed er niets mee. Ze mocht wel ergens een stoel gaan zoeken als ze wilde, wat ze dan ook maar deed. Haar dochter vroeg om de kaart, ik blerde erachteraan dat ik ook graag een kaart wilde. Wij kregen met veel omhaal per tafel 1 kaart. Ik probeerde een beetje contact met de chagrijnige medewerker te krijgen met de vraag: jullie zullen wel druk zijn. Hierop antwoorde hij: 'nee, het is juist rustig voor een zaterdag'. Ah, dus niet te druk om een oudere dame wat service met haar stoel te geven? Daarna werd onze bestelling bij onze buren gebracht. De dochter naast ons kreeg een twaalfuurtje. Zij vroeg waar de kaas was, die zat er niet bij (we zaten praktisch dij aan dij, dus het was niet dat ik bewust afluisterde). De kaart werd eerst gecontroleerd, alvorens er een plak kaas werd gehaald. De plak kaas lag op een bord gekwakt. Op de een of andere manier paste dat bij de sfeer. Daarna wilden we weg. Niemand merkte ons op. Ik liep naar de bar, vroeg nog of ze misschien een zakje hadden (mijn lunchdate wilde graag haar restje meenemen, not to shy to ask). Antwoord: nee. Ik: misschien zou je even kunnen kijken of ze niet iets in de keuken hebben? Ze wil het echt graag meenemen (want het eten is echt lekker). Nou, niet heel verrassend dat het antwoord nog een keer nee was. Ik weet niet was me nu precies zo irriteerde. Als ze druk waren geweest dan is alle extra aandacht voor gasten soms lastig, maar wel deel van je beroep. En volgens de medewerker was het niet druk. Hier is dus blijkbaar de standaard dat er geen service verleend wordt, aan niemand, door niemand. Ik mis de passie voor het zorgen van je gasten en zorgen dat ze een fijne ervaring overhouden aan het bezoek aan Orloff. Jammer, want voor het eten zou ik zo weer boeken!

Heerlijk geluncht, kom hier graag voor een simpele lunch of biertje met bitterballen oid. Enige puntje waardoor ik geen 5 sterren geef is dat er een supplement is voor plantaardige melk.. Dat is niet meer van deze tijd toch?

Al zoveel jaren spreek ik hier nog steeds af met oude vrienden voor een biertje zondagmiddag. Mooie zaak, goede bediening. Aanrader !

Het eten en de cappuccino was héérlijk

Schon bei unserem ersten Besuch in Utrecht waren wir zweimal da. Mittags und nachts, dieses Mal sind wir einfach sitzen geblieben bis nachts. Ein herrlicher Ort, um den Trubel Utrechts zu bestaunen, und das ganze mit leckeren Vieren bei einer guten Auswahl!

Prima eetgelegenheid. Goed eten. Netjes.

Prima café, lekker op terras mensen zitten kijken. Rose was goed, maar zeer eenvoudig. Bestelde nacho's lieten 20 minuten op zich wachten, bestelling werd vergeten. Bij navraag werd dit vlot opgelost.

Lekker gezeten op het terras. Heerlijke bitterballen. Helaas geen alcoholvrije IPA

Ontbijt orlof is heerlijk uitgebreid eenvoudig en lekker .ik kom regelmatig terug.

Kleine kaart, eten voldoende verder niets bijzonders. Wenteltrap omhoog maakt het voor minder mobiele mensen lastig toilet te bezoeken. Hou de tijd van bestellen in de gaten. Ontbijt is echt tot 12:00. Kan niet meer worden besteld om 12:10. Evengoed was de tosti zeker ok qua vervanging en bovendien goedkoper.

Immer een genoegen! Na een wandeling door de stad de kranten gelezen bij Orloff onder het genoegen van enkele glazen pilsner bier

Winelist is short but ok, Different drink menu than other Orloff.

Le spaghet ne vaut pas un clou. Par contre l'hamburger est à conseiller. Bel endroit.

Wat ik naast de sfeer vooral de bourgondische bitterballen kan waarderen met een lekkere franse mosterd.
