OUTSTANDING! Amazing Gluten Free options as in the biggest GF menu ever. Perfect for my wife who is Celiac and the non GF food was incredible as well. The bartender/waiter who served us on the early evening of 8.1.26 was extremely attentive and was great about asking about allergy issues the moment we sat down. Great GF beers and plenty of local brews on draft as well. The highlight of our long day and perfect after our 9 hour red eye with no sleep flight. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for GF or not!

Excellent restaurant, a lovely and welcoming atmosphere with very kind and knowledgeable staff. They also offer a gluten-free menu with a wide selection of dishes, a must for celiacs. The food is truly excellent. I recommend it.

The food was quite nice, I loved the portions! They had a complete gluten free menu for me which I highly appreciated! It was nice having more food options than usual. All pastas are gluten-free and celiac safe! The pizzas can be made gluten-free but aren't celiac safe. They used a black plate and a red napkin to make it clear that I only eat gluten-free food. I find it a nice touch. Ironically, I saw two other people with the same menu and napkin, we had a laugh about it and went on with our evening. The food was really well made, with a wait about 20 min between each dish which was more than fine. I brought a friend who can eat gluten and she was just as enthousiastic as I was and wants to come back here as well. The staff was super friendly, patient with our questions and thorough with explaining everything. I would definitely recommend coming here, whether you can or cant eat gluten 😄

We had dinner there in the evening. They have a completely gluten-free menu, from appetizers and main courses like pizza, pasta, and excellent meat and fish dishes, to gluten-free tiramisu and other desserts. The staff were very knowledgeable and explained all the gluten-free options to us. I can highly recommend it for people with gluten intolerance. It's also very suitable for people with celiac disease, although unfortunately the pizza isn't.

We loved our dinner here. I let the staff know I am gluten free and was given an entire menu with gluten free options and there were a lot. I had pasta with shrimp and zucchini and it was delicious. There isn’t a lot of outdoor seating but the inside atmosphere is lovely, the staff were very kind and overall we had a great time and delicious meal.

Very good experience. I'm celiac and from the first moment they were attentive and careful, explaining that if you're celiac it's safest to order pasta and not pizza due to cross-contamination.

First off, the Pierogies were excellent and if that all we had ordered, five stars! Also, great job on handling my gluten-free needs, separate menus, full of options, and even gluten-free tiramisu. We sat upstairs and it was rather warm (coming out of a heat wave) and the service was leisurely paced, so another ample time. Servers were friendly. All of the food was tasty, but nothing except the pierogies stood out.

What a wonderful experience at this place on the Kloveniersburgwal. The food was truly fantastic and tasted incredibly fresh. I was particularly impressed by the bruschetta, which was perfectly prepared and beautifully served with fresh parsley. Everything served was of excellent quality. It is highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic and tasty food. I will definitely be back here soon.

Excellent service, atmosphere, and prices. The dishes were great, but the Pierogi was divine! The carbonara could have been improved with a little more bacon, but it was very good. The special pizza was very good, and the bolognese was very tasty. I visited in 2019 and returned in 2026. I would go back again!

We had the most fantastic experience having dinner here. I am a ceoliac and they had a whole seperate menu for GF and was cooked separately. And it tasted absolutely unreal. We had a lovely polish waitress who genuinely was so kind and wanted us to have a great experience dining! 10/10 bring everyone here

A small, very nice restaurant, located right on the canal, with excellent Italian cuisine. For me, it was the perfect end to a wonderful day in Amsterdam.

The pizzas were no better than frozen pizza from the supermarket. These were not worth the price. Service was ok.

I expected much more from this place. With two my friends we ordered pizzas, really nothing special. We got a pizza very fast, but this pizza was not a Italian pizza, with hard bottom and dry. Regarding service, they were nice, but had a feeling like both waiters work there a first day. Ordered shot of limoncello and got in the soda glass, warm … After asking if can be in the shot glass, as should, the lady brought. Cocktail Moscow mule was very sweet. Overall, nice place but I left dissapointed and I will not come back.

Delicious food, fast service, friendly staff and nice atmosphere!

Plenty of gluten-free options. Both the waiter and the menu clearly explain if there's any risk of cross-contamination. If you're celiac and don't want to take any chances, opt for pasta, although they also have pizza and lasagna for those with intolerances. Special mention goes to the Portuguese waiter, who speaks perfect Spanish and, besides being efficient, is the friendliest we've encountered on our entire trip.

The pizza was disappointing. The dough tasted like it was made from frozen bases — dense and lacking proper texture. The toppings were very basic and didn’t stand out. Considering the price, the quality didn’t meet expectations. I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to eat here.

amazing quality of food, i had the penne carbonara, delicious - they are super conscious of any gluten intolerance and any allergens, even asking right away so that they could prepare properly - they had specifically marked bowls and plates for the gluten free items, and a whole dedicated gluten free menu, the waiter was super friendly and nice, especially being so patient as he was also serving another table with some rude customers, so i feel he deserves a specific shout-out !

I’ve visited Café Piazza on my past two trips to Amsterdam. It’s a reliable choice if you’re looking for a gluten-free meal in the city, as there is an extensive gluten-free menu including pasta, meat and fish dishes, which are all suitable for coeliacs. There is also pizza, but this is not suitable for allergy sufferers, due to a shared oven, which is a shame. It’s located on Kloveniersburgwal , close to De Wallen (The Red Light District). The staff members were friendly and had good awareness of allergens. I liked the red napkin placed on my table, and the red menu, which meant I was gluten-free. It is slightly pricey here, but given the quality of the food and how safe I felt eating here, and how they treated gluten-free as a speciality rather than just being there, I would say it is worth it. I ordered the Cacio e pepe on my most recent visit, the sauce had so much flavour, simple yet so delicious, I love how they added their unique twist onto the dish by adding a Serrano Ham and Parmiggiano chip - I would have liked slightly more of that, especially the ham! I’ve also had the gluten-free lasagna here before, which is really good, although I did find it to contain a little too much cheese, but still was flavoursome and one of the best I’ve had. Overall, this is for sure one of my favourite gluten-free spots in the city, and I look forward to visiting next time I am in Amsterdam.

Every time we visit Amsterdam we go to Cafe Piazza. The GF menu is ideal for my wife and the quality of food is fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful and it says a lot about a place when the same person is still there when there has been 3 years between visits. Highly recommended!

We had dinner at Cafe Piazza. We received a wonderful welcome and were allowed to choose our own table. The service was incredibly friendly and professional. They even had a special menu for people with gluten intolerance. The food and drinks were excellent. We give it full marks and would gladly return. We can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Walked for 25mins in torrential rain and gusty winds to get here from our hotel - but was well worth it! My Mum & I were only in Amsterdam for 1 night and I'm Celiac so always research where i can eat. Chose here based on my research. The staff were so welcoming to me and my 80 year-old Mum. They took good care of us. Having so much choice of dishes I could actually eat was amazing. The only other place that's beaten this in the 25 years since my diagnosis is (but, sadly closed down) Lucy's in the Lake District, in UK. I chose the lasgane and it was wonderful. I ordered the tiramsu for pudding, even though i didn't really have room - just because I could, and we were treating ourselves! I was also really happy to see an organic wine (rose) on the menu, and had a glass, which was v nice too. My Mum also enjoyed her food. So, I highly recommend this place if you are gluten free/celiac. I'd love to come back when I next visit Amserdam.

Fantastic little italian spot. The restaurant is right on the canal with a lovely atmosphere. The gluten free menu is massive and you are given a red napkin instead of white so all the servers know you have an allergy (which I think is really useful). The food was delicious and service all round was 10/10.

Only came here based on the gluten free recommendations. Yes they were careful and had a separate menu, red napkins to show it's gluten free. But the food was rubbish, no atmosphere and the staff were clearly tired and ready to go home. I wouldn't go again, but I didn't get glutened, so if you just want a safe gluten free meal then go for it but don't have high expectations on flavour. Also very expensive, probably because of the central area.

We went for dinner as a couple and it was a great experience. We ordered two pizzas and two drinks. We made a reservation the day before, although when we went (Wednesday), they had free seats and it probably wouldn't have been necessary.

This restaurant is always a safe bet when we visit Amsterdam. Great food, often updated with new items. This time, they added amazing desserts. Most importantly, everything is always prepared with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it.

Excellent gluten free options/service! The menu does explicitly state it, but the pizza is not celiac-safe. Everything else in the gluten-free menu is safe. The food was good overall, but the pasta could have been cooked a minute or two longer longer.

Highly recommend. The restaurant is small and lovely. I am celiac and I ate here with a friend. The first thing the server asked was if there were any food allergies. I got a red napkin to identify as gluten free and a separate menu which was completely gluten free. I had the homemade lasagne and the gluten free tiramisu and it tasted excellent.

We arrived around 6:30 p.m., which was very quiet and had pleasant background music. The gluten-free pasta with scampi and Parmesan was delicious. There's a separate allergen menu, and when you order, you're asked directly if you have any allergies. The staff was very friendly.

The food was delicious. That truffle pasta is honestly one of the best pastas I've ever had. The staff is super friendly, and it's a super relaxing spot right in the city center. Highly recommended!

The pizzas are not good because their gluten-free dough is bland and cardboardy. Bad experience because we saw a rodent like a small rat or mouse wandering along the stairs. This is really not what you want to see in a restaurant. The service is passable.

Our favourite restaurant in Amsterdam!! So much so we ate there twice in one week. My wife and I have food allergies and they take it very seriously especially for Gluten Free. The food is the highest quality. The best home made lasagna I have ever had in a restaurant. The desserts were great as well. The staff were the very best. If you are looking for a quality meal with incredible service look no further!!

Very pretty decor. Super friendly, even downright adorable service (which makes it easy to accept the insistence on tipping!). Fast too. The wines are acceptable. Everything is very clean. The downside is the quality of the pizzas. Very sparsely topped. The dough resembles the plastic-wrapped pizzas you buy in supermarkets. Bland, tasteless, undercooked. The ingredients are cheap (low-end salami, mushrooms that look like canned ones). In short, the experience is pleasant but certainly not gourmet...

Not a recommendation, small portions at exorbitant prices. The pizza barely has any roasted flavor and tastes more like it came from the snack bar around the corner. A disappointment :((

Amazing gluten free pasta. I had the carbonara (gluten free as I am celiac) and it was lovely. My partner, not gluten free, has the Carni pizza and loved it. It was light and not greasy at all but full of flavour Would highly recommend to anyone who is gluten free or celiac. I was given a separate menu and a red napkin to indicate I was gluten free.

It's a small restaurant but with really great food and super nice staff! We were with a group of 20 people and all the food came at the same time! Also the location is great! Really had a nice experience :-D

A good place to eat if you're celiac, with plenty of variety. The menu states that everything is suitable for celiacs, except for the pizzas, which are cooked in the same oven as the gluten-free pizzas (I think it's great that they clarify this because you feel safe). I had pasta with shrimp, so delicious!!! If I return to Amsterdam, I'll definitely eat there again.

My family and I came in really late. A server I believe was named Rodrigo let us stay late, and he was super nice. The food was amazing and the service was even better!!

Delicious pizza at a small but lovely restaurant! The pepperoni pizza was perfect -- a relatively thin (but not dry or cracker-like) crust, tasty sauce, perfect amount of cheese. The servers were all very friendly and helpful.

Very very nice. We had been looking for gluten-free food in Amsterdam for a long time. Almost everything is closed now. There is an extensive allergen menu here. The food is really delicious! Lasagna and tiramisu gluten-free. A dream!
