In Amsterdam we have so many amazing pizza places, this is not one of them. The Albert Heijn pizza with a gorgonzola that taste like cardboard and the elevator music inside makes the experience even better. Paying 20E for one pizza that looks like a frozen pizza from the supermarket. Definitely a TOURIST TRAP! The only good thing was the service, the staff were amazing. By dissaponteid neighbours

Cute little restaurant, upstairs and downstairs. Ordered gluten free bolognese and it was good but not great. Based on reviews i was expecting more. The pasta noodle itself very nice. Service was great -they are very careful about gf. My partner ordered regular lasagna-good but not great. Good beer on draft .

I had a very special night planned in Amsterdam. After 20 years of flying there as commercial airline pilot, this was to be my retirement flight and I wanted to take my crew out for a special dinner. Knowing the food and service were excellent at Cafe Piazza I contacted Agata and asked if she would host my special event. She agreed of course and I estimated about 20 guests. Well the list kept growing and we ended up with 31. They were able to accommodate everyone in the upstairs area and the evening was flawless. The tables were preset with drinks and bread as I had asked. Everyone's order came out correct and together, not a small feat given our large group size. The food was excellent as always and the service was the same with everyone's every need being quickly satisfied. I can't say enough great things about Cafe Piazza, Agata and the staff. This was a very special occasion for me and they really came through. So whether you are a large group or an intimate couple, I highly recommend Cafe Piazza.

Service a little slow and not attentive, but the food made up for it. Superb good gluten-free pasta! The prosciutto and pear starter was delicious too.

Cafe Piazza was amazing about allergies the moment we sat down. The server gave me a red gluten free menu and explained which of the specials were also safe. I was given a red napkin to indicate my allergy. Not thinking, I ordered a cider, because those are almost always gluten free where I live. The server let me know the cider was not gluten free and I ordered a beer instead. When my pasta came, I was very impressed! It was cooked al dente and had great flavor. I will come back here to try their gluten free pizza too. Strong recommend for coeliacs. Edit: I did go back a second time and ordered pizza — it was amazing. I also had tiramisu for dessert. Wonderful restaurant.

Delicious food. They have a separate gluten-free menu with lots of pizza and pasta dish options, and are clearly very contentious with dietary restrictions to suit my partner. The regular food is also very delicious! Would recommend.

This restaurant was my absolute favorite place to eat in Amsterdam. We visited three times in four days! The food is spectacular and, if you have Celiac Disease, you need to try their Pasta Verde w/gf penne. I haven’t had gf pasta that tasted this delicious EVER. Husband agreed non-gf food was just as tasty. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The space is warm and inviting. Can’t say enough about it! Make a reservation but you can always do takeout!

Pleasant setting and atmosphere. Very good cuisine. Friendly and welcoming staff. Service a bit long, but given the number of people due to the marathon and the music festival it's a bit understandable. They even put together a marathon menu, top notch. So they are forgiven. I recommend if you are passing through.

Food was okay, ambience was good, small and cute. Service was very good at the beginning, but when paying the bill was completely mixed up and everything was mixed up. As an apology we were supposed to get a limoncello, which was also improved.

At the top! There were 10 of us, and all 10 of us were won over! Each dish was just delicious, fresh pasta and full of flavor The server was very pleasant and answered all our questions or expectations, a real pleasure The cocktails were also really good. The setting was very pleasant. I recommend 100%!!

Had a fabulous meal and experience at this restaurant. The service was 10/10 and the food incredible. I had the Pierogi and Tiramisu. The best tiramisu I have tasted. My partner had lasagne and she said it was lovely. Will 100% be returning on our next trip. What a great find in such a vast city!!!!

The food was eatable, but quite bland and not memorable. Pizza dough tasted like breadsticks, not sure why. The Polish waitress was rude and unpleasant, she looked like she was there due to the lack of other options. Bad day? On the plus side, both male waiters were very nice and welcoming. Overall not a great experience and we cannot recommend it. There is another Italian restaurant next door, which has much better food and professional staff.

This is the only gluten-free menu that we found. The food was average, but we felt comfortable knowing that it was gluten-free. The service was exceptional. Our waitress even ran down the street after us to alert us of a forgotten wallet.

We will return!! When we return to Amsterdam, it is suitable for Celiacs with many gluten-free dishes. The food was very good and the service was also excellent. And the location is very good, next to the castle and its square and close to the red light district. Totally recommended.

Never thought I’d be in a situation where I’m reviewing pizza in Amsterdam, while also listening to Roddy Rich (their music choice). 10/10 atmosphere. 7.9/10 pie. Very good price for a lot of food. The first thing that stands out is the strong cheese (I expected nothing less😂). The sauce was ok, but the breading was fantastic. Very friendly staff who were very accommodating. Not beating la coq in France, but would recommend nevertheless (other food was tasty).

We asked for several things. They brought an expensive beef stock downtown, delicious. I am not a salad person and for the first time I started with a ceasar salad, it is with the preferred dressing which was olive oil and vinegar but anyway very delicious with its chicken and breads, it came with a bread with pumpkin seeds to accompany it lightly and warm, good. But moving on to the good stuff, I ordered some spectacular lamb ribs, cooked perfectly, they were still a little red but chewed easily, and they were covered with an incredible mustard rub, and accompanied by some delicious potatoes that combined gave it a great contribution. to the plate. We also ordered some gyosas with a duck filling, everyone loved them but even though I liked them, they didn't convince me. And a salmon that was delicious but tasted a lot like a home-cooked meal, nothing out of this world. Everyone was delighted with their dishes, two others ordered a pizza and a pasta that I didn't try but they claimed that they had ordered the best, but I am sure that the lamb ribs are the best that they ordered. Delicious. 9/10

Dropped in, no reservation, only too happy to take us, even though busy. Fantastic gluten free menu, and so many options. Food was wow. Desert was wow. My non GF was Fantastic also. Super friendly. GF precautions included an extra red napkin to alert serving staff that food for that person was GF to help eliminate misunderstandings. Couldn't be more impressed!

Very great atmosphere and food. I highly recommend the lasagna which is served in individual portions (rather than a slice cut from a large pot). Dont hesitate to ask for the table in front of the restaurant, next to next window in front for a even better experience. Our waitress disappointed us by asking for tips, taking advantage of the fact that we are tourists.

The pizza was very mediocre. And that's putting it mildly. This place has a very nice Google score so I was expecting a great pizza. But what I got was disappointing. Soggy dough and cheap cheese. Perhaps their pastas are better, but I wouldn't go there for a pizza. The draft IPA was fruity and nice.

Very nice place with friendly staff close to the city centre. Affordable good food, with great taste and presentation. I had a tasteful Caprese as starter wich was good. As main a pizza oun pollo with great taste, tasty and crispy crust and perfect thickness. Finished it all with a seasonal cheesecake, delicious with strawberries. Good wine selection, ours was a good fit for pizza. Thank you for the food, would recommend!

A cute pizzeria with great service and great food! After a short research I came across this pizzeria. The service was really great! After a nice welcome, we immediately asked about allergies and were given the corresponding menu. (In my case gluten free) I was very surprised when a red napkin was placed next to my plate in advance. It was explained to me that this was for the service staff so that the gluten-free food would not be mixed up or I would be mistakenly served a meal with gluten. I thought that was very good! With my celiac disease, I'm not used to having such a wide variety of foods. The food was very tasty! My dish had a hefty price tag of €21, but was worth every cent! :-) All in all - a great dining experience!

Great Italian spot! Walked in at 6p on a Friday with no reservations and got seated immediately. Seems like any later than that would need reservations. Ravioli and margarita pizza were delicious. Vibe was cool. Also the tiramisu was magnificent!

The food wasn't bad, simply average but not worth the price tag. My carbonara tasted as though it was freshly heated from the Albert Heijn across the street. The pasta was not fresh and the sauce was not special. The Caeser salad was similarly unimpressive with a considerable dose of lettuce but lacking in chicken and anchovies. The pizza was tasty in flavour but with a completely soft bottom which was a shame.

Let's start with gluten-free, yes tgey cater to and offer many gluten-free options. However, they are not made in-house. My wife ordered gluten-free bruschetta, it was on gluten-free bread but just regular gluten-free bread. She also ordered gluten-free pasta which was ok but obviously came from a box you could make at home. Paying $18.50 for out of the box pasta seems like too much, it was gluten-free but nothing special. My pizza came out wrong, it was good just not what I ordered. So rather then wait for another I ate what was brought out. Service was ok nothing special. When we come back we will dine elsewhere.

Excellent service. The staff is very attentive. The place is nice and the music is nice and allows you to chat. When we arrived we had the reservation ready.

There were 4 of us and we ordered together. My wife's food came 8-10 minutes after everyone else's. Lasagna consists almost exclusively of tomato sauce and cheese (20€). The carbonara had a strange aftertaste from the herbs and peas (which, in my opinion, have no place in a carbonara). The portions are very small (spaghetti €16-20) and you won't get full. Service was friendly. Inside (upper area) it is cozy but very noisy as it is a bit narrow.

An old favourite of mine. Run by an extremely kind Polish lady, so while they do mostly Italian dishes they also have pierogi's (ask for the filling of the week/month)! The food is decent value, and the main selling point for me is that what is advertised as spicy, actually is. A rarity in the Netherlands.

We were with a group of 22 yesterday, and I ate gluten-free. I ordered a delicious gluten-free meal from a separate gluten-free menu without any worries. The service was super friendly and the food was very tasty. We were given the entire top floor and had a very nice evening. Top tent :)

Yesterday was my birthday and I have to say, this experience at cafe Piazza has been one of the most memorable ones. Service is excellent, they are humble, kind and hard working, food is excellent and prices too, I loved it and can’t wait to return! Thank you, nothing I would change as the menu is also perfect to me.

Pizza dough is nothing like a real pizzeria. As if the dough is frozen and prepared industrially. The pasta (ravioli verde) was greasy (too much oil) and without any particular flavor. Price too high: €15.90 for pasta and €17.90 for a 4 cheese pizza. When we added the bill, the waitress told us that the service was not included. This is fake, a scam to force us to tip. Unacceptable to force tourists like this. Overall: a bill of 50€ (addition of a glass of Merlot and a coke), including 10% obligatory tip! I advise against . Amsterdam is full of small restaurants much better than this tourist trap.
