Delicious, light Italian pizza in a truly charming place in the middle of De Pijp. The only problem, folks, is that in 2026, you can't live without air conditioning. Luckily, there was a table outside, otherwise it would have been absolutely impossible. The staff are all Italian, so go ahead and order as if you were at home. Better to book, though, because it's always full. Highly recommended!

Had a good pizza here, with pepperoni. Not a big fan of the pizza mortadella in my opinion. Waiters were very funny and nice, and good. Good place and nice oven. If we follow the “one bite everyone knows there rules guide” it would probably be a 6, but I’d say the place is a 7/10.

Overall, a decent pizzeria, but the service is completely inadequate and very slow. The atmosphere is very noisy. We came as a couple for dinner. We waited a little while before getting a table, but the wait to order was awful. Despite our calls to place our orders, they took tables that arrived after us before ours... Then there was a long wait for our drinks and an even longer wait for our pizzas... Finally, our pizzas arrived. My friend's four-cheese pizza was good. Mine, unfortunately, was bland despite a good crust. We were disappointed with the experience. The outdoor seating is quite limited.

What a fantastic spot in De Pijp. The pizzas are truly top-notch and taste exactly the way they should. The airy, perfectly baked crusts of the pizza immediately caught our eye. It is clear that they use an authentic stone oven here. We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh basil on top. This is without a doubt my new favorite spot in the neighborhood.

Well, what can I say? I made a reservation, and then they didn't deduct the reservation fee. All I got were empty promises about cancellation. So, be careful when making a reservation.

Authentique italian place, with proper dough and proper pizzaiolo’s making truly fantastic pizzas. Their pizza menu is proposing original pizzas, with delicious ingredients. Service is top. Tiramisu with mascarpone. If you’re looking for a proper pizza in town, this is a good spot. Making a reservation is recommended

We arrived late for our reservation but were warmly received. Our food was EXCELLENT and the service was on point. Overall great experience.

Last time when we were here, the food was great. However, this time the service was a disaster. We waited for service for literally 30 minutes, and when the waiter finally came, he said that we could not order 4 pizzas for 7 people. Mind that it was 9 PM, and we all ordered drinks and desserts. When we said that we would be fast, he said that it was not about time. I know that Amsterdam is not known for its service, but it was just a terrible attitude for no reason, as we tried to be as nice as possible. Will never come again.

That's my second time to visit this restaurant, its authentic Italian pizza and Italian staff. One of my Italian friends recommended this place and since then it's been my favourite pizza restaurant in Amsterdam. Great food, very friendly staff and nice location. My favourite pizza is the 4 Cheese pizza. They also got authentic Italian drinks; they're a treat. I highly recommend trying g this place if you like Italian pizza. That's as fresh and as authentic as it can get.

I made a reservation online. They were extremely rude and arrogant. I had already paid for my reservation and they never gave me a table. They asked me to wait outside in the cold. They did not even give a refund. The servers and service is extremely rude. Please stay away! Also please check the photo attached - this is owner/chef’s reply. I’m sure everybody would want to stay away from this kind of service

As an Italian, I can confidently say this is the best pizza I’ve had in Amsterdam. The quality is outstanding, from the dough to the ingredients everything is done properly. Giuseppe, the owner and pizzaiolo, is a true professional and you can really taste his expertise in every bite. If you’re looking for authentic Italian pizza, this is the place.

The waiters and owner should learn how to respect guests. He was very disrespectful to a female table guest regarding take away. As a restaurant there should be a possibility to take away food and that was a big problem appearantly in which he disrespectfully tried to make fun of the guests. I think the level of respect is different.

Very disappointing experience. The restaurant refused to provide regular drinking water and said they would not give us more because we had already had some, claiming tap water was too expensive. This is completely unacceptable. Basic drinking water should never be denied to customers.

The waiter was good but when we asked if they had any kitchen pizza the waiter said nicely that they don’t but the chef was super rude about it and told us that “this is not McDonald’s”, some people can’t eat pork and you get disgusted after more than few pizzas of only cheese, I get it is an Italian restaurant but we didn’t ask for something that isn’t put usually on a pizza.

Very good pizza, especially the dough. However the wine by glass is really overpriced, and they do not even store the bottle with a proper preservation lid to keep the wine fresh. Also, I asked for a babychino, and they wanted to charge 4€ for that like a regular cappuccino, which is ridiculous as most place in Amsterdam either charge 1€ or 1.5€ or give for free since it’s just steamed milk for a baby.

Pépé and colleagues made sure to give us (6 young folks) great service even though it was really busy on New Year’s Eve. You can really sense that they love their work & that they put a lot of love in their food. Love the fact that they keep their pizzas authentic & don’t change them unless allergies. They also play good music at the place, we didn’t hear one song we didn’t like. Keep up the good work & we’ll definitely come back once again in Amsterdam

Both food and staff were good. Space that they have is small so you definitely need to book a table in advance. They ask you to pay a bit in advance when you book as a guarantee.

Great pizza, really delicious dough. Was quiet when we went (with reservation) and service could still be better. No beers on tap so no Moretti's with the pizza unfortunately!

The pizza was good, but every time I go there, maybe once a year, the pizzaiolo keeps asking my girlfriend for her number. This makes the atmosphere pretty unpleasant. It feels like there’s no privacy during dinner. It even seems like he asks every girl he meets for their number as soon as they smile at him.

We all agree: This is the most delicious pizza we've ever eaten! The dough was perfect, the toppings were top-notch – everything was just right. One of the best pizzas I had in Amsterdam! After having heard a lot of good things about Dope, I’ve wanted to try it myself. Finally I got the chance to experience it myself, and they did not disappoint. The place is packed and for good reason. The dough is amazing, as is the red sauce. The toppings are fresh and you can actually taste the high quality of the ingredients with every bite. Watching the chefs prepare pizza after pizza at a very high pace is impressive and they seem to enjoy it. The place is not very big but has a good vibe with nice music. The staff do their best which is a challenge due to the high volume of people dining there. Prices are what you’d expect in Amsterdam (read: not cheap) but at least you can taste the quality. I’ll be going back for sure!

What can I say? Dinner at this pizzeria was so delicious that I still enjoy thinking about it. The pizza was delicious! The atmosphere was inviting and cozy. The music was also great. The waitress was super friendly. We'd love to come back next time we visit Amsterdam.

The best authentic pizza place in Amsterdam. I love it. Been 4 times. However it’s Tuesday. We went for a pizza and it was shut so we have to go to competitors. The competitors place is full! You guys should open on Tuesdays.

5 ⭐️stars for staff. The waitresses were really polite and friendly, the top point of the place. For sure they were just following orders with the answers (1h stay, 1 pizza per person, can’t share). After all that happened (please, read the whole review to understand) I was really hoping that at least the pizza could worth the wait and price (average pizza price nov/2024, so was expecting much more). ☹️ We arrived without a reservation as we were still thinking were to go (by the way, the website asks €10 for person to reserve a table). Upon arrival it was said that without a reservation, we would be able to say for 1h maximum. We ordered two “lemon juice” and a vegan pizza, the main reason of going to this place, as I had read many good reviews and there were 7 options. A few moments later the waitress returned saying the chef wanted us to order one pizza each, that we couldn’t share it. Usually we share as one pizza is too much (as you can clearly see the picture, half goes to waste as we are travelling, and we don’t think it’s good to waste food). As we didn’t have a reservation, we should have paid for the juices and went to the first place I had found earlier. Or even better to eat pasta at the same restaurant we went yesterday called Pasta Pasta (small place, fabulous fresh pasta and service). However we ordered two pizza as told, two marguerita, one of them vegan. The pizzas came quickly, looking beautiful but unfortunately not tasty, the dough was not light, not good. The vegan cheese was blend and tasteless, and nowadays there are good ones. If we would have had a good experience for sure we would return during our stay (a week), but after all that happened there is no way. Total waste of time and money.

As a Neapolitan, I wouldn't give it 5 stars because there are a few things that could be improved to be DOP, but it's really good and the highest quality in the city. Very nice atmosphere, friendly and courteous staff, average price, even a bit lower than some competitors. Definitely worth a try!

This place serves the best pizza in the town. You might have to wait a bit for your food to come to the table because it is usually crazy busy but it is defined worth the wait.

Good food and friendly waiters, ruined by ego in the kitchen and understaffing. I came here in a group of 3 people. We happened to decide on one starter, one main dish and one desert. When asked if we could get all the dishes at the same time, the waiter already warned us that the chef doesn't like to make different types of food at the same time, so there might be 5 minutes between the dishes. Sure. No problem. In the end the last person in our group got the food 2 hours after we got our table, 90 minutes after the starter had been served. Admittedly, the waiters were also clearly understaffed, but trying their best. In the end, I've never experienced a kitchen policy being so disastrous for the customer experience. Never again.

A clean, yet unpretentious place. The staff is Italian, and I'd say you'll see it when you bite into your first slice of pizza. Exceptional! Soft dough, light, quality toppings. People often say they shouldn't eat Italian food abroad because they'll be disappointed. In this case, it's quite the opposite! Definitely worth a try; better than many pizzerias in Italy!

Easily the best pizza I’ve had in Amsterdam, even rivalling some of my favourites in Italy! The dough is pure perfection: light, airy, and full of flavor. The toppings taste so fresh, it’s as if they’ve just arrived straight from the Italian countryside. You can’t go wrong with any of them, but Kala 2.0 is our all-time favourite. Gentle Dreams and the Vegetariana are also standouts. 🍕

Gross bathroom with no toilet seat or light. Can definitely tell that straight men own this restaurant. Takeaway orders not allowed and neither is dining alone apparently. I left without eating anything.

The best pizza in Ams! Truly delicious with amazing vegan options. 4 starts because the service left a lot to be wished for. We waited 15 minutes to sit down (with reservation), 30 minutes to even order, and another 30 for pizza. Guys, please hire more staff ! 😊

Really good pizza and nice covered outdoor seating area. The A’Mort Soj pizza was light (in the best way possible, like was not greasy nor did I feel heavy after eating it) and tasty. I liked the pistachio on top of the pizza, and the buffalo stracciatella was incredible. Very fresh basil garnish. I will definitely come back here to try more pizzas.

The taste was extremely good! Really fluffy, aromatic, and simply delicious! I would actually agree with the other opinions here. I suspect it was the best pizza I've ever eaten. BUT: The ambiance was really bad for me personally. But I also value that kind of thing. On the upper floor, all the walls were bare and somewhat damaged. There wasn't really any decoration either. The tables were pretty close together. And overall, it was rather unromantic. If you want delicious food, you definitely can't go wrong here. However, if you want to sit comfortably (e.g., on a date or for a fancy dinner, etc.), you should probably avoid this place.

One word: amazing!! Was already waiting to try the FRESH tuna pizza for a while and it did definitely not disappoint. Amazing crust of the pizza, amazing taste of ingredients and most of all the staff is really nice, friendly and thoughtful. Will definitely be back to try some other pizzas because there were too many options that we wanted to try. Make sure to bring some cash to be able to tip the staff as well :) The pizza on the bottom looks maybe weird, but it is because i was sharing the pizza with my sister and I don't eat meat but she does so they only did the meat on half the pizza. Another sign of amazing service
