I visited for dinner today, September 17th, and the pizza was delicious. And the salad was delicious. And the service was first-rate.

I tried both the pizza and pasta here. The pizza was good, but the pasta was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying the pasta if you visit this place

The service was particularly attentive, unlike what we've experienced in the more touristy area of ​​Amsterdam. During dinner, they asked if everything was to our liking, and we replied that everything was very good. The meat was cooked exactly as we requested. Dessert was delicious, and at the end, they offered us a shot. I regret not asking the name of one of the staff members who served us, as she was very friendly and helpful, and the other staff member was very professional. The atmosphere that night was very pleasant. It's definitely a place we'll return to.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, plenty of choice on the menu, great wine (without the high price tag!) We were slightly rushed as our mains came out when we were still eating our starters but overall it was a great experience - we had massive bowls of delicious pasta and we came back the next night. Best restaurant in the local area.

In a word, amazing! What a fantastic place, and how kindly and thoughtfully they accommodated my request for a special table, as the nieces, one of whom was from Canada, hadn't seen each other in 38 years. Heartwarming!

A nice, cozy Italian restaurant with excellent food and lovely indoor and outdoor seating. The food is absolutely worth the price and the portions are very generous. We'd be happy to come back. We even went there twice in two days. 👌🏼🤗

I came here a year ago, and it was fantastic. I came back tonight, and it's gone downhill. The portions are significantly smaller, and the food was not good at all.

They refused to give us water unless we paid, this was on the hottest summer day. They ended up serving the water, and charging us €1,5 anyways. It was tap water.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had. The crust was hard and completely tasteless, and the cheese was applied too thickly with no flavor at all. Overall, very disappointing – I wouldn’t eat here again.

I visited La Casa Di Michael on a leisurely afternoon. It is a block restaurant a little outside the city center, but easily accessible. My expectations were reasonable, but the experience was a positive surprise. We ordered caprese salad and pasta. The portions were high quality, the ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were on point. The pasta carbonara was just the right amount of creaminess and the caprese tasted fresh and fair. The friendly service and the smooth dining on the outdoor terrace added to the experience. The atmosphere of the place was relaxed and peaceful – perfect for a casual meal or a lighter evening out. The price level was very reasonable by Amsterdam standards, which made the experience even more pleasant. Not perfect fine dining, but more than worth the price. I would gladly come again, especially for the ease and tasty food. Recommended for anyone looking for uncomplicated Italian.

We’ve came here every year for 3 years when visiting Amsterdam! It’s the best place for pasta and pizza, better than anywhere in the centre. The pesto pasta polla is incredible. Food always comes quickly! really good prices too. Highly recommend :D

Had dinner and tried both pasta and pizza both disappointing after seeing all these excellent reviews about this “hidden gem”. For a tourist who doesn’t know what to eat might be okay, not expensive and service / atmosphere are good, but it felt like a trap to me, I am from the neighbourhood and had high expectations about this place 🪤 🚩🚩🚩

Decent place, but the quality of the ingredients was not the best. The waiter was a bit unhappy and a bit rude to other (possibly new) waiter. Leading to a not very nice environment.

Both dishes we ordered, veggies pizza and Penne Arrabbiata were delicious. It's a busy place.

The location is great. Service is very slow and pathetic. I was disappointed with the cappuccino that I received. In a disposable cup which was smaller than the sugar sachet. This was priced at 4 euros.

We discovered this gem of a restaurant the last night of our stay in Amsterdam. We would have eaten there every night otherwise! The atmosphere is super friendly and relaxed, you can dine inside or out. Nice decor and it was fun to people (and bicycle) watch as we had our dinner. We shared a bruschetta appetizer - the best I’ve ever had. Clean, simple and delicious. I wouldn’t have guessed that the addition of a small amount of dill would make such a difference. The photo shows one of three pieces we enjoyed. I ordered the spaghetti marinara entree (with some extra sauce) and loved it. The pasta cooked to perfection, the sauce homemade and delicious, with pieces of squid, mussels, shrimp and if I’m not mistaken, octopus. My husband had the lasagna and might have licked his plate if we weren’t in public. The service is excellent - we were recently in Italy and Michael’s has a real Italian feel. Finish your meal off with a limoncello and you’re set for the evening!

Excellent and delicious Italian food! I especially want to mention the manager, who, due to a small misunderstanding, gave the children a dessert! I highly recommend this place!

I've been living in Amsterdam for 7 years, and Casa Di Michael has been one of my favorite restaurants to eat. As someone who truly loves good food, I can say this is one of the few restaurants I genuinely enjoy coming back to. The location is great, and the open kitchen adds a special touch—you can actually watch the chefs in action. They serve high-quality, Italian-influenced dishes made with fresh ingredients. Their pizzas are top-notch, and the grilled meat mix is mouthwatering. On top of that, the staff and owners are always incredibly friendly, making every visit feel warm and welcoming.

Michael's house is supposed to be an Italian restaurant, but it has very little of Italian. The owner/waiter who served us was very unpleasant. He kept making unpleasant jokes and making us feel uncomfortable and the food could not save the dinner. The ribs are not Italian the pizza seemed frozen and the mozzarella was rubber. We were very disappointed

Around €14 for this dish it was delicious however I didn’t get full from it. It was a nice atmosphere and the owner surprised us with a birthday cake when he heard our table singing for a friend 😊

The Italian bread was good, but the steak was well-done and too hard to eat. I later confirmed that it was not a language misunderstanding.

The sweet couple who run this restaurant, despite the difficult moments they have had to face, always express that they are happy to have you back. Staff was very unfriendly, plates were thrown on the table, nothing was said and the table was cleared and cleaned while I was going to the toilet. Even at checkout, nothing was said or asked, in fact, we weren't even looked at. Pizzas were ok, but I've had better ones before.

Even though it was really crowded we got our food super fast and it was delicious. They said they were full, but we managed to get a reservation to 10 minutes later so I definitely recommend reserving a table. The waiter was really friendly and the cooks made sure we didn't wait for too long by pointing to him that we were ready to order.

We came to dinner at around 2030 and the place was almost full. However, they seated us immediately. We had a superb pizza and the spinach tartellini. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere was great.
