Delightful and friendly pub in the heart of Amsterdam. The bar tender was fantastic and truly engaging with his customers. Highly recommend. Hidden gem in the busy city, we were seated right away.

Ken, is an amazing bartender and I’d recommend here for a night out for any travellers who are visiting 10/10 atmosphere, show the sports and good drinks all round

Just a lovely old Amsterdam café!

I had to use the toilet after walking around the red light district. This was the first place we found. I walked straight to the bathroom. The guy at the bar called me out and I pointed to my husband to let the guy know we were buying drinks. The bar is small. There’s a couple of slot machines. Nothing fancy.

I sat here all evening and enjoyed myself very much. Aunt Jo was behind the bar and helped us a lot, but was above all very pleasant. Thank you and see you soon! We will definitely come back!!

Huge appreciation for this place, especially for the bartender, whose name I forgot to ask. I was being followed by someone in the streets and he promptly offered his help. As a female, I am very thankful for that. I cannot leave this review without quoting how lovely the place is, there was a game playing and a there were plenty of beers and drinks.

We had a fantastic evening at this friendly corner pub. The bartenders were simply amazing and they played great music. We are coming back to see you again!

We made a huge mistake entering this dungeon. The old bartender was probably having a blast insulting the customers and shouting at everyone as if she were having a seizure. I would rather go somewhere else than stay in this nursing home, whose director apparently suffers from Alzheimer's.

Fantastic place, very nice bald gentleman, he got a little angry because I dropped some money. Which I apologized for. But he is very sweet and has a great bar. I actually wanted to write an angry review. But that man has been through a lot and I still have respect for this bald G. I hope everyone comes to this bar because our bald gentleman, for example, is actually very sweet xxx

Our favorite place for a drink in Amsterdam. Owners and staff are very friendly and engaging as are the locals. Remember you are in the RLD and there is little leeway for nonsense. Many seem to forget.

A very cozy place in the red light district to be able to have a drink and protect yourself from the intense cold that was those days I was in Amsterdam. The waitress was very friendly and the people at the bar seemed like a family!!!

If you are British and looking for an unfriendly welcome, this place is for you. We were surprised to see a table free so went in, and very soon realised the reason why this place was so quiet. Had one drink, which was served with judgement of our choice in ordering a large Heineken, then got to speak with others who came in after us. We all felt unwelcome and didn’t hang around. Honestly believe this must have been an immersive experience where your aim is to get told off and so not have a good time, we just weren’t expecting it and found it very bizarre….

It was a cloudy Friday evening as I walked into the bar. An old man was gambling away his paycheck on the slot machine as one bartender was cleaning glasses and the other was dragging up crates of soda from the basement. "Can I use the bathroom?", I joked in English. The one cleaning the glasses replied, in the same charming way he always does, with a friendly rejection. Even so, I sat down at the bar as he gave me the usual. "Wat heeft die dealer hier te zoeken?", he was solemnly asked by the lady sitting next to me, her not realizing that I was, despite my ethnicity, not a drug dealer and that Dutch was, in fact, my native tongue. And little did she know that, as the night went on, she would become a whole lot more familiar with that very same tongue. Would recommend, unless you're married. In which case, just don't bring your spouse.
