Geweldig arrangement gehad. Ontvangst met koffie en een Blokzijler brok. Daarna een hele mooie rondvaart gehad inclusief vermakelijke info van onze kapitein. Bij terugkomst stonden onze fietsen klaar. We kregen een heerlijk lunchpakket mee voor onderweg wat ruim voldoende was en zalig smaakte. De route van 20 kilometer was adembenemend mooi. Het voerde ons langs schitterende plekjes. Als afsluiter werden we verwend met een driegangenmenu. Ook dit was prima in orde. We hebben een geweldige dag gehad met dank aan het zeer vriendelijke personeel. Het heeft ons aan niet ontbroken. Dank jullie wel.

不要光顧這餐廳 Terrible service, rude, racist. We ordered food but not arrive in 40 mins despite we chased 3 times, we can't wait anymore and asked to cancel the order, then they start to cook our order! The manager was ridiculous, he denied his responsibility and say it's the chief's problem. It's your restaurant's problem! Another table got 2 Chinese kids wandering around the restaurant, I saw that the manager was very rude to those kids behind the parents. They know we are visitor and will never come back, so they don't care about service, but to make money form us. Very bad experience, and ruined our mood for the day.

fantastic experience at this restaurant. what a host and great food. we had lamb and veal entrecote and the prawns as a starter. the mocktails are highly recommended especially the passion mojito.

The vegetable soup is quite light. The fried fish is paired with special white sauce, apple puree and yellow lemon to have a refreshing taste. The accompanying lettuce salad is delicious and soothing. The carrots and legumes are cooked soft and lack the sweetness of the vegetables themselves. I like the taste. In addition to the usual boring fresh cream, the dessert ice cream is also mixed with a few small pieces of dried fruits. This part is full of surprises and is a bonus. This time, we provide a meal plus lake tour. The ice cream was enjoyed on the boat. The overall meal, service process and atmosphere were very good!

Two of us ordered fish & chips and the small Thai chicken soup. They gave us one spoon, one fork and one knife. My friend wanted to share the soup with me as she had just ate couple of hours before so we asked the waitress for another spoon. She asked us “what for?” with a “tone” which to our culture it was rude. We explained and she said you had to pay for using the second spoon as they only gave one spoon for one dish. While the fish & chips were quite nice, she ruined it all. It’s my friend’s first time in the Netherlands and she just experienced rude customer services constantly.

Food was good I did order fish and chips Acompany with salads . But I didn’t like the sparkling wine their hot and not sparkling taste bad. Hope next time they chill it properly to enjoy the clients. Service was super entertaining Roy was very friendly and got to tell me that the restaurant was little influenced of French cuisine. The service was fast even their so many costumers because it was a very good weather. The atmosphere was superb front is the canal and the boat tours were there. Front entrance they have a huge sofa to chill. Nice long tables for clients and some space also at the back and big tables inside. Walls was fascinating with all the walls decorations. Bars are clean and well cozy amiable ambiance. Please visit if you go to Giethoorn. Cheers

As a tour guide, I was treated very poorly by the gentleman who bought the tickets for the boat trips. Very arrogant and bossy man. I treat everyone with respect, but unfortunately I didn't get that back from him. So I will never come here with my groups again. Enough boat rental companies that treat you normally in Giethoorn.

We have a package of reception coffee and tea with a Blokzijlkoek and a 2-hour cruise and a high tea at the end. Cruise with Jos the captain. It's amazing how this man knows how to bring fun and is educational too. High tea was delicious and sufficient. Staff. Helpful and very friendly. We had a great day.

We also had a package deal, with a cup of coffee and a piece of pie beforehand, after which we did a boat trip of one hour (super fun and cozy). We had a nice bite to eat after the boat trip. I think they can still learn something from it. However, the main course came afterwards, and instead of the arrangement that had been booked, I decided to take something from the menu. So I thought I was going to eat a delicious steak, but was disappointed again. Asked for medium, but I felt like I was chewing on a piece of car tire, although the piece of car tire would have been more tender. We also have doubts as to whether the meat was still good at all🥴. During the starter and main course, no one from the service came to the table to asking if everything was to your liking (very bad). And when serving the drinks, empty glasses were not immediately taken away. I understand that it can be busy, but if you see how many waiting staff are walking around, you can expect some have hope that something will happen and not walk around like a headless chicken. We skipped dessert, so we can't judge that. But in our case a number of people became quite nauseous afterwards. So unfortunately not worth repeating. I would also like to mention that it might be wise to have someone who can lead and direct the staff, since everyone was just doing whatever. Perhaps designate a table for each waitress that she can serve and care for, so that the end of the bill can also be assessed on the basis of any tip. But for now the service left much to be desired. Aangezien wij 1,5 uur later met de rondvaartboot van het restaurant zouden vertrekken, gingen wij op het terras zitten om nog even van een lunch te kunnen genieten. De jonge bediening deed hun best, melk in de thee, theewater was al koud voordat de melk uiteindelijk werd gebracht, wat voor taart hebben jullie vandaag? Kon men geen antwoord op geven, geen vitrine aanwezig, dus maar een gok gemaakt. Heg vol wespen, is het moeilijk om wespenvangers op te hangen? Aangezien mijn mobiel bijna leeg was (en ik wil toch graag foto's maken tijdens de rondvaart), gevraagd of ik mijn telefoon even kon opladen. Mevrouw (eigenaresse) zei heel hard NEE - alle stopcontacten zijn bezet. Wij hebben in De Rietstulp voor Euro 50,- geluncht en kaarten gekocht voor de rondvaart dus hadden iets meer dienstverlening verwacht. Als je een horecazaak hebt waar heel veel concurrentie is staat dienstverlening toch heel hoog in het vaandel om het verschil te maken. Erg teleurstellend er valt genoeg te verbeteren.

We had lunch here after a canal tour as part of a day bus trip. Although the bus company stops here regularly, the staff of 48 people was clearly overwhelmed, even though the food had been ordered in advance: matjes or schnitzel. The drinks were brought quickly and after a while schnitzel and matjes without any side dish were on the plate. The schnitzel cooled until fried potatoes finally arrived - 3 small bowls for 9 people at this table. Some time later a salad made from lettuce and celery stalks - again 3 small bowls for 9 people. After several requests, a few more fried potatoes were brought later. The taste of the schnitzel and matjes was okay, but not sufficient. The potatoes lacked seasoning and were dripping with fat. However, the salad was extremely tasty with a pleasant dressing. The drink service was good and quick; The food was brought very carelessly and with a delay by an unmotivated lady. She was obviously overwhelmed and the general lack of staff is also noticeable here. However, guests should feel welcome and that was lacking here. And that with a fairly high-priced menu.

Salade de saumon copieuse et originale avec des câpres (faut aimer), des olives, tomates séchées, graines germées et surtout un petit condiment rouge que je ne connaissais pas. Je recommande.

We spent there on December 25, 2023. It was wonderful. After taking a boat ride, a walk in this authentic village. A setting worthy of a film... We had dinner at the Rietstulp restaurant, a treat. Top team. The children were treated to a gift under the tree... Special mention for the hot chocolate. We are going back one summer! Thank you for these beautiful memories.

Food and atmosphere is decent. Waitress/Waiter charged us with the wrong bill (higher price than what we ordered) - on purpose or not am unsure but we left the restaurant not feeling nice at all. I expected better service and most importantly, integrity.

Very warm restaurant, very welcoming and helpful staff. a terrace which has apparently been recently re-equipped with beautifull and cosy furniture. We chilled almost all afternoon on the lounge of this beautiful terrace. A menu card varied enough to satisfy all tastes and it's very good. the cocktails and especially the Ponstar Martini passion are a real delightful and the dame blanche for dessert: nothing more refreshing in this heat. the boat trip proposed by the restaurant was just fantastic. the captain of the boat explained and told us the history of this amazing village of Giethoorn. it is truly the Venice of the Netherlands. I can only highly recommend this restaurant +++

Unfortunately it took a very long time before the service came, people were served who took a seat on the terrace later than us. Two glasses with the lipstick still on them And the ice cream wasn't very tasty for the price we had to pay So eating something there was no longer an option for us!

Awesome! I was with a Postcrossing group with 1 person who has to eat gluten free (me) and someone who eats vegan and there were TWO perfect plates of sweet and savory snacks that were both gluten free and vegan. We enjoyed it and there was more than enough. Definitely a place to come back.

Here I have met the smallest portion of Porksteak (Schnitzel) in my entire life. Though with the price of 19,5€, this mini Schnitzel offer you no fries nor Salads. 5 layers of Salami is thicker than this poor tiny frail weak Pork steak. It seems like no more than 100 gram. And beside this in the picture is a kids portion of sausage set (costs 7€). I was fully regret to have seen this in Restaurant whose Google remark is even 4.2.

Voor een familiedag bij de Rietstulp een arrangement geboekt. Ging e.e.a. mis met de lunchpakketjes die we mee zouden nemen, maar geen probleem. Vriendelijke mensen en er werd meteen e.e.a geregeld. "Floormanager" was echter een ander verhaal. Ondanks het zalige weer en het zo goed als lege terras buiten moesten wij binnen plaatsnemen voor ontvangst met koffie. Na duidelijk aan te geven buiten te willen zitten de strijd opgegeven. Helaas, na ons uitje met een bootje door Giethoorn, was wederom binnen (terwijl eindelijk zalig weer) de tafel gedekt. Wederom, buiten nauwelijks klanten. Ik kon hoog en laag springen, binnen was de tafel gedekt, dus daar moesten wij plaats nemen. Werkelijk BIZAR! Mijn dringende advies aan deze meneer in kwestie; wees een beetje klantgericht. Bij een vol terras had ik er alle begrip voor gehad, maar er zat gewoon bijna niemand buiten! Wat is de moeite??

Visited the terrace here this month. Received a very friendly welcome and, after a recommendation, ordered a Tessels beer from the tap, which tasted excellent. Also ordered a bread board. Tasty spreads, but the bread slices were just not crispy enough so not very fresh.

Taking a 1-hour cruise with a group was a lot of fun. Our skipper could tell us well about Giethoorn. When we returned we had lunch, tasty sandwiches, a croquette and sweet toppings. Cheese & meats came to the table after we asked for it and had almost finished eating. This was forgotten by the staff. It was very busy, chaotic and there was a tense atmosphere.

This is a super capitalist restaurant with terrible service. We two girls ordered one pasta, two chicken soups, and one waffle, but we were only given a knife and fork. When we told the waiter that we needed an extra fork, we didn't expect the response we got was : You only order one piece of pasta, so you can only have one fork. If you want an extra one, you have to pay extra. We explained: Because we are girls and don’t eat much, we share all the food together. He still answered rudely that this is the restaurant policy. At checkout, we were literally charged an extra €1.50 for a fork. In fact, I really want to ask him if waffles need to be collected? Great ambience, friendly servers, and delicious food. I had the chicken breast with morels. I had to look it up ... Google translate said 'mushrooms' ... but it was more than that. A mixture of mushrooms, broccoli, zuchinni .... all served in a delicious sauce .... with fries. I liked it so much I went back another night and had the same ... this time it came with 'radish sprouts' .... first time I have ever had them - they were delicious !
