The service was quite slow, and the pasta was unfortunately too salty. I waited about 15 minutes before the server acknowledged me,( the place was empty, only 3 tables)but thankfully another waitress had already approached me earlier and took my order. I also noticed that bread was given to other tables but not to mine, which felt a bit odd. The atmosphere is nice, but the service and food were disappointing. They did offer me a croissant as compensation after I raised my concerns.

What a surprise! The food was delicious and the price was relatively reasonable. It was busier than the staff seemed to be able to handle, but the food arrived quickly. We'll be back!

I highly recommend this place. Delicious snacks (I had the vegan focaccia with leeks) and good coffee and wine (I had a natural orange wine). Nice and cozy atmosphere. A bit more "chic," but everyone is welcome. Friendly service.

The food was mediocre, neither exceptional nor surprising. The menu was rather limited. Dishes were quite small and rather one-dimensional. The wine list was nicely extensive. The service wasn't great either: the staff were friendly but not attentive enough. Items were repeatedly forgotten, there were many sloppy dishes, and it took a very long time for the main course to arrive.

I love this place so much! And is close to the ferry, hence close to Amsterdam central station. Great menu, wines/cocktails and the service 10/10

We had dinner here last week, and unfortunately, the service was quite disappointing. We had to wait a long time before anyone acknowledged us, and throughout the evening we felt very unwelcome by the staff. There was little attention or friendliness, and it seemed as though serving us was more of a burden.

I really love this restaurant. Great wine collections and kind recommendations. Dishes are with touch of Japanese cuisine and subtle layers of spices & texture.

We wanted to have brunch on Sunday, but we couldn't order the brioche until noon. It was 11:45. The menu says it's available from 10. No sun on the terrace. The service is unfriendly. The server dropped a piece of lettuce and a cornichon while serving at the table. These weren't replaced. The brioche was okay, but the shrimp croquette was full of rice and very little shrimp. Too bad!

Service was poor, slow, and somewhat rude. The beer was quite small. Didn't give the food a chance. Understandable if you're into that industrial yuppie vibe, hence the extra star.

Location is on a busy road with ppl driving fast. Terrace and restaurant without nice atmosphere. Suggest to place some trees (e.g. in crates), flower etc. Tast of food is good, but the portions are extremely small. Especially with the high pricing. The staff service varies in friendliness. Some waitresses are friendly others blank or grumpy. Very limited choice in drinks. No Radler, no Bitter Lemen, only Pear Juice (not even apple or orange), limited choice in beer. Tips for the restaurant: There is potential. Add some trees in crates (can be moved, no permit needed) Add meat on the menu (e.g. a burger, a steak) Increase the portions (50-80 grams fish (at 33 euro!) is way too little for a meal, also 6 potatoes of 1 cm diameter is too little) Add option of fries. Add some vegies to the meal. Once improved I would love to try this restaurant again.

Its a travesty that they serve beer on tap in a 20cl glass for the full price. Never seen this anywhere else in Amsterdam. Cookies are amazing though! Nice ambiance but I will not go back

We tried this restaurant soon after it opened and were not happy. Then we waited till now and tried again. The service was all right and we did not have to wait more than 20 minutes for our food. We had ordered the only main course on the lunch menu. It tasted good, but the portions were really small, more like a starter. For the price they are asking, this is quite unacceptable. We ended op ordering Hamburgers at NRD on the way back to the office. Will we return with the rest of our staff? Not for the foreseeable future. Can we recommend this restaurant? No, not really.

Where you can still drink coffee in the evening!!! We were kindly welcomed by Ted and Dine immediately made delicious cappuccino with a cookie from their own kitchen, tasty Miso cookie and also a jug of water in a spot in the sun. Now that's what I call hospitable. Great, it still exists!! So a big compliment to these two employees.... we will be back soon. Thanks for radiating fun and felt more than welcome. I've been here for both lunch and dinner and both times it was delicious. I personally found the lunch more special than the dinner. But both were very tasty! Also nice wines, and just good service.

Very original concept for a 'Farm'. Beautiful and modern building in which the cowshed can be seen behind glass from the restaurant. Outside there is a large terrace and a fun pedal car course and a bouncy castle for the children. Definitely recommended!

Staff here were so kind and friendly! We had such a great dinner with duck breast, salad, and a side of the brioche toast. Absolutely amazing! Food was so tasty we came back for a lunch on our way back to the hotel another day. Our party ordered 2 focaccia sandwiches which were outstanding. And I ordered a 4 course lunch. 3/4 courses were great but the main dish was a pasta that was extremely sub par. The butter/oil base was off putting and the greens inside were overwhelmingly bitter.

Unfortunately no gluten free options. The only option was a starter for €14.50 which was not filling. The staff was friendly but really understaffed, which meant it took a long time before you received your food or were able to pay for it. Toasti was not very special, burnt and fell apart with food.

this place welcome us on christmas eve, the restaurant is so beautiful and everyone left the table thinking it was one of their favorite meals ever (2/3 were 60+ so thats a good showing). our waitress was super sweet and helped us when we forgot to say my mum was vegetarian! thank you so much for the best christmas eve.

Having come across the "Nxt Museum" for an immersion in psychedelic installations, I saw a small door that led to this restaurant: a large space furnished with wood and concrete, one of those modern "open spaces" that are very popular among today's young people. I immediately found it very welcoming, the warm and dim lights, the small bar and the open kitchen, the beautiful windows... The icing on the cake were: the excellent home-cooked food, and the kindness of the staff, in this Nordic atmosphere which made my visit to the museum a culinary experience that I highly recommend. - Madame Leota -

I went to Metro to celebrate my birthday with a couple of friends and we were very pleased with the kind and attentive service! The food was delicious, in particular we loved the squid, artichoke, and tartare! Definitely recommend!

The sourdough bread was amazing, just like it should be. The food was good and the quality was right. We had some fine wine as well. Overall it was a good experience.

Food is good but poor and slow service. Management apologized several times but did not think in terms of solutions and did not become faster. They indicated that it was very busy even though the place was not full.

My negative opinion is thanks to an employee who gave us a welcome that was anything but pleasant. We entered at 8.15pm, after a day of tourism and we were probably not very fresh, but that didn't mean I would have expected the lady to tell me that the kitchen was closing, to think about whether we really wanted to dine there (as if for us it was too expensive). I didn't really understand what was happening and I probably further annoyed the lady who thrust a menu into my hand and told me to take a look and that, if I decided to stop, she would perhaps give me a table. I pointed out that there wasn't enough light at the entrance and that I couldn't read well and that I WANTED TO EAT IF POSSIBLE. there was no reason, I was left with my family at the entrance, alone, near the jackets, in front of the other people sitting and eating, trying to decipher a menu and all of them standing. In the end I pointed out again that I wanted to eat sitting down and they let us sit. Luckily another waitress came and even smiled and served us well. For this I thank you, good food and correct prices for the quality but the first waitress who welcomed us ruined my opinion and experience.

Another unfortunate pretentious business that captures the havermelkelite epidemic. The food quality can be good, especially their pastries and foccacia. It’s hard to justify the fairness of the price for the service that you get, frankly unfriendly. It’s “from the elites for the elites” mentality they’re serving here, apparent from the crowds present in the room. Heel jammer.

Grilled cheese was burned. It takes forever to get served. The ginger tea is just hot water and a little ginger and it takes them half an hour to boil the water for that. The music was nice. The chairs have a nice design.

I used to like this place for their sourdough bread and amazing wine list. This Saturday it was a terrible experience. The only available table outside was filthy, all in coffee stains. Asked waiters to clean it, no reaction. When my food arrived, the guy wanted to just put it to those stains. Asking to clean it resulting in waiting forever and just a quick single motion when he finally arrived back with a cloth to wash the table. Second Saturday in a row i have breakfast in Metro and second Saturday i feel sick the whole day after. Last week i blamed other factors, but twice it gives suspicion about the hygiene of the place, considering the table was filthy.

Informal restaurant with very sweet and nice service. Price/quality is extremely good. €38.50 for 3-course menu. I've been there about seven times now and keep coming back.

I was a bit skeptical at first because the menu is quite limited, with combinations of ingredients that I wouldn't expect together. But what we had was super tasty. I was pleasantly surprised and would absolutely recommend that restaurant.

Lovely little location with a nice ambiance on a beautiful sunny day. Modern and hip interior design of the restaurant. It caters to different times of the day, with varying menus for breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. The service staff are friendly and helpful. The bakery serves amazing cookies and sandwiches. A place to try when you're in the area.

Food was very Nice but when our friend ordered food and we sat with him without wanting any food ourselves because we wanted to wait for him. Then the waitress came to the rest us to ask about out order. When we told her about the situation, she told us that we have to order something in order to sit here, which is completly fair and we understand that, but she was very aggressive in the Way she told us and we started to feel like we werent welcome here and we felt very uncomfortable. Then out friend Said: "But we just want to wait for our friend" and then she Said in a ironic tone: "Good answer" and then she left. Overall we really liked the food but the service was not that good.

Awful service with the most pretentious and unprofessional group of hipsters, average but glorified food, industrial interior that is just lazy but survives in Amsterdam because again Dutch lack understanding of hospitality. Truly brutally honest. I would never come here or recommend it to anyone.

Typical case of Amsterdam catering experience. I think Anne Fleur had just been told last Friday that she had been expelled from the Lowlands group. When I arrived at 11 a.m., she barked at me, "YOU MUST SIT HERE." When I then walked to the bar and asked: 'Is the sandwich with young or old cheese?' (given that it was quite cryptic on the menu), she said: 'IF YOU WANT TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT'S IN IT, YOU HAVE TO WALK TO THE KITCHEN.' I explained that I didn't necessarily want to know what exactly was in the sandwich, but just which cheese it was. Her response: "THEN TOO." Anne Fleur was clearly very busy, even though there were only three people in the shop.

Ate here yesterday. Lovely space with attention to detail. Acoustics are perfect. Food was great and comfortable, nice flavors! Homemade bread, better than your favorite bakery. Just what you need on a sunday evening. Wine list is composed very well, wine paring amazing.

30/7/24 My friend and I were hungry and so many places nearby were closed. Once we arrived at Metro the staff told us they were under staff and could not accommodate us. We told them we didn’t mind waiting and would love to eat there. Even if under pressure of a busy dining room he took us in and was wonderful to us. We didn’t even notice they were under staff. The whole staff worked so hard preparing delicious meals and taking care of everyone! We come to Noord for work often and will definitely return to this gem we found! The food was so good I forgot to take more photos so I only have one 😂.

Several people in the toilet attempted to wipe away grease stains on the sweater/shirt, including me. This is due to the small deep plates they serve in. Furthermore, the service is good and the food is very tasty.

Had an amazing lunch here. Great food. You taste the freshness and I loved the less common combinations. At first I had a brioche bun with a shrimpcroquette and lemon mayonnaise. Really liked it but for me it wasn't a very filling lunch item. So I decided to also go for the focaccia with almond cream and cœur de boeuf. I loved this so much. I expected to miss some sort of cheese but it ended up to be just fine. Definitely worth a lunch-time visit when in the area.

Arrived around 12 on a Friday to have a snack before visiting the museum. The two waitresses was so rude- made it feel like we were actually completely unwelcome with not very nice comments and rude questions. The sandwiches were nice and the focaccia was fluffy and soft. Will purposely not come only because of how rude the two waitresses were. If you don’t want to feel like you’re bothering a waitress with you order- maybe go somewhere else.

I wasn’t really expecting much when we decided to go for dinner just outside of our hotel but I was really pleasantly surprised by how lovely cafe metro was. The food was excellent and the staff were lovely. 10/10 👍

We had a delicious vegan meal (a menu). The food was fresh, seasonal and extremely tasty. We would have liked to have a choice of a meal or the menu and not necessarily just a vegan menu as an option. Now this worked out well because we had something to celebrate, but it felt a bit strange that we didn't get this choice. My tip is to actually put a vegan menu on the menu. The pictures you see online can put off people who don't eat animal products because it puts a huge focus on meat. Only because I live nearby, I know that it is also vegan. However, we were shocked at the end of our lunch, €150 for a lunch where we drank two glasses of non-alcoholic wine and received a piece of bread, which I thought was really absurd. So I have very mixed feelings. A great afternoon, but the price was really absurd.

Great restaurant for dinner. The price quality is excellent. Three courses for less than 40 euro. Wine selection is great and staff is very relaxed. The acoustics were also a lot better than expected in such a large room.

I guess to each his own but if you want to pay too much for hipster stuff then go here. The sandwich toast we got was blackened. The beer is served in wine glasses so they can use one bottle to fill two glasses. It was maybe busy but it took ages before we finally got served our sandwiches which went by the title of "focaccia". The waiter did speak french, and he was friendly and gave us something extra for the wait but I left hungry and longing for something more substantial than this superficial hipster business.

What makes this place special is that there is nothing bad about it. The ambiance is delightful, service was fine, and the food was good. It was not out of this world but zi could eat here any time and be completely satisfied. Do not hesitate to stop in and enjoy yourself!

What a wonderful experience! The acoustics were perfect, the vegetarian options surprisingly good and the snack selection extensive and delicious. The smell of fresh bread upon entering was a treat alone, and the service was great. The napkins were even folded when you went to the toilet. Some star establishments no longer even reach that level. Highly recommended for a wonderful evening out. This space is also suitable for any company, friends, date or a larger group.

We ordered everything in the menu. Never had to wait so long for the main course at any other restaurant before, and the desserts are so bad. The waitress collect our glasses without asking and we didn't finish the drink. For the price you can definitely get better food and service somewhere else.

Very badly; They gave us a table when we entered, and when we had been seated for 10 minutes, they told us that we had to wait because they were full, that the kitchen was overwhelmed, we waited and they told us later that they could only give us dinner, olives, and a snack. Later we asked him for some dinner. And they let us order bread, cheese and fried pizza. Siege disaster.

I celebrated my birthday here with a group of friends and it was great! The service was good, lovely people at the counter, and the food was delicious (and the wine too). We will definitely come back!

After the NXT museum me and my friend were starving so we thought why not here? And we didn’t regret it one bit. A little pricey and the portions are small but so worth it. The chefs cook with passion and love. We ate the aubergine and my only regret is we didn’t order another one. The only problem with this place was that it didn’t have an English menu. If you’re passing by I would 100% reccomand.

As a gourmet, I have visited all kind of restaurants in one third of the world. This includes the poorest parts of Africa and the Middle East. But I have never seen such bad service anywhere else as in this restaurant. The waiters treated us like garbage. A complete disgrace. I won't go again. It is impossible to understand what they think they are. Very arrogant people. stay away for your mental health

Fine dining for a great price. The service was really good, attentive, they know their dishes, great recommendations. Everything was super flavourful (I had the beet, big and apple dessert). Special shout out for the bread which was to die for! Great new addition in Amsterdam, I will be back for sure!

Lekker terras en goed eten voor redelijke prijs. We hadden een 3 gangen lunch gereserveerd voor €27,50 pp en hier meermaals over gemaild, maar toen we aankwamen hadden ze precies die dag de prijzen met minstens 20% omhoog gegooid. ‘Ja sorry..’ was het antwoord. Tis dat we assertief zijn en hebben de lunch voor het afgesproken bedrag gekregen. Maar jammer dat je daarover eerst in discussie moet. Verder, was in begin de bediening wel on point en zat er goed bovenop, maar later moesten we meermaals om aandacht vragen en hing het personeel bij de bar te kletsen. Dat was jammer want ik weet zeker dat we meer drankjes hadden besteld als we meer aandacht hadden gekregen.

Great atmosphere and delicious food! We ordered a vegetarian set menu for two, if you are not very hungry, then this is the ideal choice, it was very tasty!

Leuke moderne tent met prima eten. kleine 3 gangen lunch kaart, menu was 37.50 plus nog 5 euro toeslag voor de kaas als dessert. Mooie wijnkaart met veel natuurwijnen. Vriendelijke bediening, af en toe nog wat jong en onervaren. Alles net wat aan de dure kant voor wat het is, maakt het verschil tussen de 4 en de 5 sterren.
