Had drinks here with friends last night. Among other things, we ordered two Verdejo wines. This wine tasted anything but good; it was bland and as if it had been diluted with water. We even let the ladies who ordered something else try it, and they said the same thing. We mentioned this to the staff, returned the wine, and ordered something else. The other drinks (cava and other wine) were delicious! When we received the bill (90 euros) and pointed out that the Verdejo was on the bill (which we had returned because of the flavor), we were told that if we didn't like it, it didn't automatically mean it was bad. Poor service and terrible Verdejo!

Why on earth would you serve a brownie, with a scoop of ice cream and a generous dollop of whipped cream, on a napkin? That would just result in me having to scrape my dessert off a soggy, mushy piece of paper, wouldn't it? Aside from that, the food was acceptable, though not spectacular. About 15 minutes after finishing the cod, I felt slightly nauseous. After I mentioned this to the waitress, she returned to say that the fish was fresh that day, and she had even checked it herself, and it looked really good. This experience, plus the brownie, means we won't be returning. For about €60 per person to eat out (starter, main course, and dessert), I expect a little more.

First time in Breda, so also first time at Zeezicht. Very friendly lady and gentleman. We had bitterballen... they were absolutely fantastic!

A disappointing experience. The service was too present, but friendly. As a starter, I had a meat dish with a particularly overpowering sweet sauce. Fish for the main course. Dried fish, it seemed. I've rarely eaten a piece of fish that needed so much liquid to swallow, while the prawns and marinated carrots were full of flavor. Unfortunately, it was probably anything but fresh fish. In short, not recommended for a good, nutritious meal.

Had a brunch with friends. The food was well prepared and tasty. It's a good place to visit with friends if you're looking for a casual hangout.

Our daughter loves the bitterballen (Dutch meatballs) and always insists on sitting by the sea... the terrace is fantastic! The food is delicious and they have an extensive beer menu.

It's hard to choose where to sit in Breda. There are plenty of options. Zeezicht is a good choice. It has a lovely terrace, a great drinks menu, and friendly staff.

We had delicious mussels! Even though they weren't on the menu, they had them! The Zeezicht mussels are highly recommended, and I'm sure the other flavors are also great! The service was very friendly and welcoming!

Well, a good review is easy to write, because this brasserie in a prime location is highly recommended! It has a lovely atmosphere, hip and relaxed, and the ambiance is fantastic, perfect for a nice drink or a night out. The menu offers many delicious options and you get generous portions at fair prices. My main course was delicious. Although the plantain had cooled down a bit and the fries had lost a bit of their crispness, the rest was perfectly fine! Our service was incredibly friendly and unobtrusive; they made us feel completely at ease. And then there's the terrace: this is the biggest asset, so cozy with the bustling and vibrant city center all around you! A great choice for choosing your seat here.

Warm ham should be warm. And thick slices. Fresh from the bone. No slices from the butcher. Too bad. Enough meat and the bun was also good. Good combination. Fresh and spicy taste.

What a great place! Eating, drinking, sitting in the sun or inside. Everything is possible and the staff is cheerful, helpful and just nice. We keep coming back here.

Nice large terrace, nice good wine. Only downside; the portions of fish served are small. My neighbor had burnt satay skewers. Otherwise fine. You are comfortable and comfortable there. If you just want to have a drink there, highly recommended!

Best burger in Breda. The preparation of the burger is a bit slow, but it is worth the waiting.

They don't look at the terrace and are very unfriendly, when you drink your last drink you are literally snubbed and expected to finish your drink NOW, while the terrace still needs to be emptied, so you should have been given a little more time. Ridiculous service. Too bad, I liked coming here. Paid €90 to be treated like shit, never again!

We have a delicious lunch here. The soup and salads tasted homemade and the portions are just right. Service is nice and comes often enough to check whether everything is still as desired. Will definitely come back here again :)

I had lunch here with my wife on Saturday January 4. We ordered coffee and hot chocolate (without whipped cream). Coffee was ok but chocolate milk was a joke; €4 for something that didn't taste like chocolate milk. Then we both ordered a sandwich with salmon for €15.50 pp. We got 1 small slice of sourdough bread and there was more iceberg lettuce on it than salmon. When I said something about this, the response I received was “our kitchen always does it that way”. So Sea View; once but never again…!

Spent a very pleasant afternoon here with family, friendly and prompt service despite the crowds. Good food and a nice view from the upstairs window, what more could you want? Highly recommended.

Last night we had a wonderful evening at Café Restaurant Zeezicht Breda. Our reservation did not go through properly via the website, but we still received great help and we still got a spot. That was really well organized by the staff. All the staff were super friendly and the food was delicious! The best burger we've ever eaten. Definitely recommended! :)

The two of us ate here. The restaurant was not very full. It is nicely decorated and the service is friendly. Water is served in a nice fish carafe. The food was good and tasty. We had pasta and it was a really big portion! We were therefore unable to finish our plate. So if you take the pasta, don't eat too much in advance 😊.

I'm usual not a fan of vegetarian burger. This is different. This Dutch bio burger was very delicious. There's no hint of vegetarianism at all. The chef special was very good. The steak was tender and tasty and the shrimp was very fresh. Service was good. The easier made good recommendations. Eating outside under the awning was nice. The evening did get a bit cooler at this time of the year. Overall her enjoyable experience.

everyone was busy with each other in terms of private life, it took quite a while to even be able to order, but there was a lot of staff..

It has legs to walk but needs more attention.. I recommend it..

Super good service!! We only had drinks here so don't know about the food. Food was looking good though.

Just had dinner here with my pregnant girlfriend. It all seemed fine, but when she almost finished her salad, there was a live maggot at the bottom! Because I didn't want to scare the rest on the terrace, I took the sign inside and showed it to a young man, colleagues were also standing next to it. I also told him that it can happen with fresh stuff and that I walked in on purpose so as not to deter the rest. We waited another 10 minutes, no apologies, no compensation, just pay and leave. It could happen again, but shame on you for not solving this!

Nice tent with delicious apple pie from a well-known baker from Breda. The only downside is that the service sometimes comes very late

Café Zeezicht i would highly recommend from walking around in Breda with a friend many places were closed or closing so when I asked if they were open and serving they said yes sure till 12 midnight. Myself and friend had snacks and drinks the Meat Bitterballen were great they had the chunks of veal meat a welcome treat from the standard mash veal. Chai latte was nice and the soft drinks were a welcome accompaniment. What I liked was that it was the perfect spot to people watch and also to catch up with friends . The staff were very nice and approachable and there if you needed them not in your face like many cafes and restaurants. They even charged my phone when the battery was in the red. In general a quiet day in Breda but grateful this place was open worth a visit if your visiting for the day it’s in the centre.

Sit on the terrace. Drink taken, card requested. When we wanted to order, we were told that the kitchen was too busy. Waiting time at least 30 minutes. It's good to say it, but if we had known that earlier we would have sat in a different place. Nice service.

We always come here for the very good beers they have (especially IPAs from the USA). Expensive, but very tasty unique beers that are not available at other cafes, and also on tap. Furthermore, it is not necessarily a very cozy cafe in terms of appearance, but friendly service always provides good help and advice about the beers

Good food at a reasonable price

Food was fine but pricey for something as simple as sweet potato soup. I often make it myself, so I know the cost. Toilet very cramped and not wheelchair accessible. Service Service was excellent and the busy terrace was well under control

We came here at lunch time. It was quite busy but certainly not overly busy. We ordered 2 sandwiches and were asked to make a healthy vegetarian version of the sandwich. This turned out to be very difficult, they only had a small map where changes were not possible, but it was eventually done. We had to wait almost 1.5 hours for the sandwiches. Things were constantly going wrong, other tables also left without food. We did receive a plate of free bitterballen after an hour for the long wait, which I think were actually baked for a table that had left, because they were lukewarm.

Ik raad het niet aan om hier te gaan eten. Er werd ons gezegd dat we een half uur moesten wachten. Dit zagen we zitten, maar een half uur werd al snel een uur. We vroegen aan de ober hoe lang het nog zou duren. Dit ging ze vragen, maar daarna negeerde ze ons. We hebben betaald voor ons drinken en zijn weg gegaan.

You have more than enough choice here for a nice beer. It is great to sit both inside and outside on the terrace. They have about 50 tap beers as standard, as well as bottled beer. Snacks are also recommended.

It's a pity that the dishes we received did not always match the ingredients listed on the menu. Some dishes arrived at the table already cooled, even though it was not busy in the restaurant. It felt like someone was in the kitchen who had been hired and was not familiar with the menu..., that feeling. We are not used to this from the restaurant! Our evening ended earlier than expected in the restaurant. Our complaint was handled promptly on the spot, but you are still a little disappointed about this experience.

The location is ideal, in the middle of the city, on the Grote Markt. The food is tasty and the staff is friendly.

Easter Sunday we went out for a nice meal and drinks, lots of beer choice, neat and friendly people, fast service

Several small dishes that you can share. Varying in taste. Oyster mushrooms in tempura were tasty, as was the carpaccio. You get few marinated prawns and the 'loaded' sweet potato consisted of half a sweet potato with 3 (!) small pieces of feta. There was nothing loaded about that. The service was not too friendly after the white wine was served too warm.

Had lunch on Sunday afternoon. To wait long. Fried egg and croquette were very lukewarm.

We were there just past midday. It was busy, but we got a place to sit. Waiting staff came in good time to take our orders. Drinks came very soon afterwards. The hot food took a bit longer. Food was nice, but stacked a bit too high to eat easily. The music was very loud though.

Everything but okay, in addition to the mediocre food and smaller portions, the service is anything but competent. The service itself was not aware of the dishes when clarifying questions were asked, but after indicating that they were vegetarian, a dish was brought that contained meat. After paying I spoke to the staff about this and they showed little understanding for what was a very big mistake.
