Excellent mid-range dining experience. Kudos to the attentive staff. They pay close attention to whether your drink is empty or if you want to order something new, but not in an annoying way. We had a good Christmas meal with plenty of drinks for €50 per person.

The restaurant itself was great, amazing atmosphere, great staff, very friendly and open environment with a cozy touch to it. My only "negative" about it, is the small portions, would have liked a bit more for the price that was paid.

We had a delicious meal at Bregje Breda. The service was excellent. Lovely ladies! The food was fine, but we preferred the food at Bregje Oosterhout. I do have one thing to say: I wouldn't have a glass of port as an aperitif in Breda. Those are very small glasses. I'll attach a photo.

Simply good food for little money

Upon arrival, the staff were friendly, nothing to complain about. With my starter, I received a stick with grease and a fried, tough piece of store-bought sushi that had been sitting there for three weeks. The soup was served straight from the can and was freezing cold. The waitress said it could only be heated in the microwave (she was a nice lady, though). Then came the main course, or rather, straight from the freezer. It was a cold burger, and when it was heated, it was microwaved, plate and all. The dessert came from a package; the brownie was bought in bulk and was rock hard. All in all, a very bad experience; I will definitely never come back! Another addition to the menu had orange slices in the sorbet, and the ice cream was already a milkshake when it arrived. At the end of the evening, I had to give it a cold barf several times. Later that evening, it even came out cold from the other side!

Enjoyed it! Food was good and tender🥰. Had fun celebrating my friend's birthday there. Workers were super friendly and helpful.

During our weekend getaway in Oosterhout, we had dinner at Bregje in Breda on Saturday evening. A very cozy setting, good food, and friendly service—in short, a menu with something for everyone at a great price!

Eight women and I went there for dinner because we'd had a good meal there a few years ago. The service was very friendly, but the food was absolutely terrible. The starter was the only decent one. Everyone's main course was lukewarm. Not just a few, but absolutely everyone's. We mentioned this to the waitress. The hostess told us we'd get a free round of drinks and wouldn't have to pay the €2.20 surcharge for the tenderloin. Someone had also asked for the meat to be cooked well, as she didn't like it otherwise. The meat wasn't cooked well, so it stayed on the table. One of the women ordered a regular cola but received a cola zero. We ordered dessert, and one of the women at our table ordered a sorbet. We jokingly remarked to each other that it might be warm when it should be cold. Well, it was; she could drink the sorbet right away. We complained and did get a discount, but we won't be back.

A cozy restaurant, the food was delicious and plentiful. The tasting for two is highly recommended; there were plenty of appetizers and variety in the dishes. The main course was also good, and we finished with a dessert of your choice. We had a pleasant evening and were almost the last to leave.

August 23, 2025, we had a wonderful meal at Bregje's with my sweetheart. And what fantastic service from the staff, and the food looked fantastic. Real compliments to everyone who was there and had to work at Bregje's that day.

What can I say... Yes, the food is quite cheap, but the experience was actually quite subpar. I'd heard from friends that Bregje's was quite good, so we went there to try it out. I assumed it was so cheap because you probably got smaller portions or something, which I wouldn't mind, but everything was simply subpar. It started with the appetizer. We both chose carpaccio, which turned out to be full of muscle, and the truffle mayonnaise was incredibly greasy and copious. I thought you couldn't mess anything up, but you could. It really wasn't good. At the same time, a group of students were eating upstairs and making an incredible racket. We could barely hear each other, and the staff didn't do much to stop it. After the appetizer, we did mention that we didn't particularly like it, to which the waitress apologized, but we didn't really make a fuss since it was cheap, after all. Finally, after an hour, things calmed down, and after a long wait, we received our main course: spare ribs and tenderloin skewers. I received two small ribs that were literally so soggy you could mash them! They were cooked way too long, and they tasted awful. The tenderloin skewers were decent, although the accompanying vegetables were hard to chew through. After being inside for two hours, we were asked for dessert. My wife asked for coffee, as she had lost faith in it, and I had a strawberry cream tart. The coffee was good, but the tart was awful. It was a kind of anise-flavored hard pita, filled with a ready-made yellow cream from a carton, topped with a few strawberries. The strawberries were good, but the rest wasn't. In short, paid and quickly forgotten about this adventure. We won't be doing this again! On the other hand, there do seem to be differences between the branches, as the reviews vary widely, but Breda is not recommended.

Absolutely fantastic. A great price for three delicious courses.

The food was good, not too much but enough choice. The portions were not too big or too small but actually just right to be able to eat all 3 courses.

Unfortunately the food was cold for half of our group (14 people) afterwards we did get new food. Warm but not very good, unfortunately when we got home we also had severe stomach cramps.

I normally love everything, but this time it was very, very slow. It took half an hour for our drinks to arrive, plus 40 minutes for the first course, and then 50 minutes for the second course. Dessert was the only thing that came quickly.

De ambiance bij Bregje is zeer aangenaam. De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is goed. De bediening vriendelijk en correct. Kortom, aanbevelenswaardig. Wij waren op een maandagavond en het was rustig dus alles verliep vlot.

Ate yesterday and was very disappointed with the previous times. Carpaccio is almost invisible due to excess sauce and the tenderloin skewers are fully cooked, I think the fries had been in the fat for half an hour, they were very hard. We ordered baguette and a little later they asked if we had made a choice for the starter/main course, while the baguette had yet to arrive. All in all, no beauty prize this time.

Vanavond met een vriend wezen eten Hadden eerst broodplank Aangegeven rustig aan te willen doen Hoofdgerecht kwam eerder dan gepland. Door comminucatie foutje van de wel hele vriendelijke en gastvrije serveerster. Collega van haar zette dus eerder dan gepland het hoofdgerecht op tafel en andere collega kwam meteen naar ons toe en gaf aan dat als t te snel was ivm de broodplank. Of er dingen koud zouden worden anders we dit aan mochten geven en dan bijvoorbeeld nieuwe friet zouden krijgen. Ook gaven we aan voor de prijs van het 3 gangen menu te komen, nu hadden we geen trek voor 3 gangen Dus mochten we samen een broodplank hoofd gerecht voor beide en allebei een drankje na ipv dessert voor de zelfde prijs van 3 gangen diner 19,95 Al met al einde van de rit heel lekker gegeten en hele goede service gehad van de serveerster en natuurlijk de rest van het personeel , ze denken echt mee en zijn heel gastvrij! Prijs kwaliteit verjouding zijn ook prima in orde wat mij betreft Kan het iedereen aanbevelen!

Everything can be described with one word, GOOD! The reception and the atmosphere in the restaurant are good. We were a bit early, but that was no problem. The service is good, you are helped quickly and very friendly and everyone is ready for you. The food is also good and certainly for that price, portions are a bit smaller than we are used to and for the "more luxurious" dishes you have to pay a tiny bit extra. Logically otherwise the concept would not exist for long. Definitely recommended, never had a bad experience

I've eaten here before, but after yesterday I thought it was time to write a review. We went to eat here because of the cheap price of the three-course menu. Despite the price, I always enjoy eating here. It is not a star restaurant, but the quality is not inferior to restaurants where the starter costs as much as this entire three-course menu. I had the trio of fish as a starter. This was very tasty and the amount of salmon I received was not sparingly used. The spareribs were also very large and very tender. There is a wide (but simple) range of choices for dinner, so there is something for everyone. I also think it is a nice restaurant to sit in and the atmosphere is always pleasant. It is therefore definitely recommended.

We sat along the walking route. As a result, we always felt a cold draft when staff and guests walked past. Because it was very chilly in the store, guests were given a blanket.

Heb een slechte ervaring met Bregje Breda. Eten was onsmakelijk en doorgekookt. Zalmmoot lag met huid naar boven en de beurre blanc saus was er overheen gedaan, heeft weinig zin als je de slappe huid moet verwijderen. Koks hadden duidelijk hun dag niet, want de halve wortel was bijna verkoold, de paprika punt was slap en het plakje courgette was sompig. Nee nooit meer naar Breda. Ervaring in Emmen 14 dagen terug was prima.

Loved it, my partner and I had a great time at this place! The food was great, the portions rent super large, but you can't expect that at 30$ you get a very large amount of fries for your main course so that shouldn't be an issue. The dessert choice is amazing and the cocktails are super cheap!

The food tasted good and no problem was made of allergies. The only thing was that food was not always served at the same time due to not being communicated to the kitchen. In addition, there were several groups upstairs that sang certain songs. This made it very noisy.

Nice location in the center of Breda. Beautifully decorated building, very attractive. Friendly service. Portions are very small, I was still hungry after the 3 course menu, so I went to the mac afterwards for a big mac menu. What you get in terms of courses is very tasty and beautifully prepared.

Went to dinner with my friend tonight. Requested a quiet place with a sofa, this request was met, nice! My experience with Bregje was better twice before than tonight. We were seated at a four-person table, the wine glasses were removed from the empty places, but the cutlery and menus were not? In addition, the waiting time between courses was quite long (more waiting than really nice dining). The food was okay, the previous times I thought it really tasted better and fresher. Some small portions, but the fries and dessert meant that we had eaten more than enough. Staff is friendly! Review 11 months ago: Enjoy eating outside by the water. Super good price-quality ratio. Diverse menu with interesting fun combinations. The food was tasty, one dish better than the other. The salmon with noodles is recommended! Fine oriental flavours. Also an extra nice addition, fireworks for the birthday boy or girl :).

At Proeflokaal Brechje, my dining experience was special for several reasons. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the efficient service. The service was exceptional. There was plenty of staff, ensuring that all my needs were attended to. They frequently checked in to see how everything was, which made for a very attentive dining experience. The speed of the courses was at the perfect speed, it wasn’t to fast or too slow. The food was surprisingly good. For the appetizer, I had bruschetta, which happens to be my favourite. The presentation was very appealing, simple but nice. It set the tone for the rest of the meal. For my main course, I had barbecue ribs, corn on the cob, and fries. Although the portion size was a bit small, the taste made up for it. Everything was delicious. However, I was disappointed to find that they didn’t offer any lactose-free options for dessert. This was a bit of a letdown, considering the otherwise excellent experience. Overall, Proeflokaal Brechje delivered a delightful dining experience with attentive service and delicious food. Despite the limited dessert options for those with dietary restrictions, I would still recommend this restaurant for a pleasant meal out.

Standaard eten maar niet bijzonder. Het is niet echt duur, voor 22,95 een 3 gangen menu, maar toch te prijs niet waard. Voor 4,50 extra een ossenhaas besteld, die volledig doorbakken was en een erg klein stuk van minder dan 100 gram. Jammer dat je voor die prijs geen volledige maaltijd krijgt. Verder is de bediening prima en de sfeer oke. Voor een gewone “ik heb geen zin om te koken dag”. Maar betaal niet voor de extra’s op het menu, die zijn het niet waard.

Still a disappointing experience. Waiting 45 minutes for a starter (Oriental trio) which is then cold. The main course also takes almost an hour to arrive. You even have to time your ordering a drink, otherwise the food will be gone and you won't have had a drink yet. Small portions and a long waiting time ensure that you still go home hungry. The pork medallion was previously a glorified slave and the potato gratin can be eaten in one bite. It tastes like the food is waiting for a long time before being served. Tables are crammed quite close together, so we sat back to back with the people behind us. Price is acceptable, but the size of the portions certainly reflects this. Staff is very nice. Once, never again.

We hadden een social deal aanbieding. Hoofdgerecht en toetje, ik had als hoofdgerecht een Streetfood plank (+4,50) met daarop een mini hotdog, 2 mini empanadas, een portie Koreaanse gefrituurde kip en een portie ribs en wat gegrilde mais. Het eten was voor die prijs ok. De appeltaart was koud, zag er ook uit als een kant en klare diepvriestaart. Het eten was prima als alternatief voor een fastfood maaltijd, maar ik zou geen 22,95 neertellen voor een regulier 3 gangen menu, dan liever iets meer betalen voor wat betere kwaliteit.

Toilets are cold and dirty, service and staff are poor and you have to wait a long time for your dishes even though it is not busy. The atmosphere could also be better, we arrived at a table that was sticky and wobbly. There was little food, so you were still hungry after eating. Food is good. We won't be back.

The service was friendly, but could have walked by a little more often. We had also ordered drinks like that before. But overall a nice place to have something to eat.

Heerlijk gegeten en leuke prijs. Maar de service was echt super slecht. Om 9 uur kregen we pas ons hoofdgerecht en we moesten elke keer vragen om een drankje te bestellen wat vervolgens pas 30 minuten later kwam. Erg jammer!!

In veel restaurants kunnen groepen apart afrekenen. Bij Bregje in Breda niet. Veel mensen leven niet meer in traditionele gezinnen. Met een goed kassasysteem is apart afrekenen niet moeilijk voor de bediening

We hebben daar heel gezellig gegeten. Heerlijke en ook nog heel mooie maaltijden voorgeschoteld gekregen en dat voor een goed betaalbare prijs. Een aanrader.

De prijs was echt na het eten ,je krijgt voor je geld ,eten maar het mag iets meer aangekleed zijn b.v slagroom bij je dame blance en koffie niet in een glas waar je sinas in zou krijgen.

Het eten was erg lekker en goedkoop voor wat je krijgt, de menukaart is niet te groot. Ik vind het altijd fijn als er genoeg, maar niet te veel keuze is want dan heb je minder twijfel tussen wat je moet kiezen. Echt een gezellige sfeer en het eten was ook genoeg en niet dat je iets hoeft later liggen omdat het teveel is dus ook geen/weinig verspilling.

Dinsdagavond met mijn gezin wezen eten. We kregen eerst een tafel aangewezen naast de voordeur. Alle andere gasten zaten achterin. Da's raar toch? Gevraagd om een andere tafel en een paar minuten later ook gekregen, goed opgelost maar had het personeel ook zelf kunnen bedenken. Eten was voor het geld prima. Het was gezellig druk. Herhalingsgevaar, ja, waarom niet. Prima prijs & kwaliteitsverhouding. 14 oktober 2023 Met een grote groep wezen eten. Het duurde lang voordat de bediening op gang kwam. Na ruim een uur werden de voorgerechten gebracht terwijl vooraf de bestellingen al doorgegeven waren. Te druk voor het personeel bij Bregje denk ik. Eten was prima, inzet medewerkers ook, we hebben het gezellig gehad maar een succes was het niet. Op een rustiger moment is het denk ik een prima restaurant.

Al eerder in Leiden bij Bregje gegeten.. nu hier proberen. Vegetarische poko bowl was heerlijk. Curry ook erg lekker, maar was echt wel heel weinig! Wij vonden het erg gezellig en prima eten! Komen zeker terug!

De sfeer is beter dan het eten. Maar de prijs is er dan ook naar.

Redelijk kleine porties, maar je weet ook dat je niet veel betaalt voor 3-gangen. Bediening was vriendelijk. Chocolade trio als dessert is aan te raden.

Voorgerecht was lekker, alleen weinig keus voor iemand die niet van vis of rood vlees houdt. Hoofdgerechten zijn qua portiegroottte aan de kleine kant. Al voor een 3e keer de pulled chicken quesedilla besteld, maar kreeg nu minder in vergelijking met de voorgaande keren. Ook de hoeveelheid friet en saus was duidelijk minder dan eerst. De spareribs hadden weinig vlees en waren licht verbrand. Nagerecht was wel lekker en een mooie portiegrootte. Verder een leuk plekje aan het water en vriendelijk personeel.

Prijs/Kwaliteit is prima! Bediening heeft nog wel wat te leren. Waren misschien ook met te weinig, waardoor het best lang duurde voordat de verschillende gangen doorkwamen. Maar zoals gezegd, voor €75 met zn 2-en is het prima!
