Christmas lunch is on. It's impressive that you can serve such a large group and that the kitchen can handle it. Compliments! Well organized, with plenty of time between courses. Ample parking is available. Reservations are required for €25 per person in advance.

Beautiful location. It's very noisy. It's difficult to hear each other. The wooden ceiling finish makes it soundless. Perfect for a party or something similar. I expected more from the beef steak in terms of tenderness and flavor. The tomato soup was plain. Very friendly staff.

Especially in the hospitality industry, the customer should be king. Unfortunately, that's not the case at De Fazant. Last Wednesday, we wanted to have lunch there. The sun had just broken through, so we sat down on the terrace. We ordered a beer and a soft drink. Then it turned out lunch wasn't possible on the terrace. Only drinks and snacks were available. Dining was only possible "indoors" under a large canopy. A couple at the next table had the same disappointing experience. The staff came up with all sorts of pointless arguments, like "Almost no one wants to eat in the sun," "People can't see the menu clearly on their phones," or "If we let you have lunch on the terrace, we have to do it for everyone." Incidentally, it had nothing to do with the crowd: only three tables were occupied. In short, this restaurant prioritizes following its own rules over pleasing its customers.

Vanuit Bavel te voet naar De Fazant. Bij aankomst aangenaam verrast door de entourage. Mooi, fijn, deels overdekt terras en binnen is het woord ‘sfeervol’ nog onvoldoende. Op het overdekte terras bestelden we bier en wijn. Daar markeerde niets aan behalve dat we nog steeds moeten wennen aan dat ‘bodempje’ wijn dat er tegenwoordig geschonken wordt in de Horeca. We besloten eenvoudig te dineren. Van de relatief uitgebreide kaart bestelden we de kipsate en Fazantburger (van rundvlees). We moesten na het eenvoudige broodplankje drie kwartier wachten op het hoofd gerecht. De terrasstoelen zijn daarvoor niet geschikt en een kussentje zou welkom zijn. De saté was prima net als de burger. De dessertkaart was zeer beperkt zodat we kozen voor koffie en thee. Deze werd geserveerd met een fantasieloos Lotus koekje. Eigenlijk niets groots om over te klagen behalve dan over de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Met vier tientjes per persoon goed aan de prijs. Maar dat waren we na een voetreis van een uur terug alweer vergeten…

We came for lunch. After choosing a table, it took over 10 minutes for someone to come and take our drink order. After waiting another 40 minutes for service, and staring at two empty glasses for at least 30 minutes, we decided to eat elsewhere after paying our bill.

We've eaten here a few times before. Everything was delicious and good. I always had the goat cheese salad, but that wasn't available this time. So I opted for the healthy chicken on white bread. It looked good. The plate smelled a bit off, though. Too bad. While it looked and tasted good, I had terrible stomach cramps an hour later. Luckily, we were almost home, otherwise it wouldn't have ended so well. Hopefully, it won't happen again when I eat here. I'm also wondering if all the ingredients were fresh. The food arrived within 10 minutes of our order. 🤔

On Friday, June 20, 2025, I hosted a wedding here, where I was the bride and groom's master of ceremonies. In that role, I naturally had the honorable task of ensuring everything went smoothly. The service and collaboration with de Fazant were TOP-notch! Everyone, both in front of and behind the scenes, knew their craft! The venue is, of course, stunning, and the food was delicious and plentiful! From the very first contact, we (the bride and groom and I) felt heard and cared for regarding our wishes and concerns. We were completely taken care of from start to finish, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day! We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this venue to everyone!

Op vrijdag 20 juni 2025 heb ik hier een bruiloft gehad, waarbij ik ceremoniemeester van het bruidspaar was. In die rol natuurlijk de eervolle taak om te zorgen dat alles goed verloopt. De service en samenwerking met de Fazant was hierin TOP mét héle grote letters! Alle mensen zowel voor als achter de schermen verstaan 'hun vak'! De locatie is natuurlijk al sowieso prachtig en het eten was ook overheerlijk en ruimvoldoende! Vanaf het allereerste contact voelden 'wij' (het bruidspaar en ik) ons gehoord en gezien met betrekking tot de wensen en onzekerheden. Van A tot Z zijn wij volledig ontzorgd en dat is toch precies wat je wil op je trouwdag! Wij hebben genóten en zullen déze locatie aan iedereen warm aanbevelen!

We happened upon De Fazant randomly on a cycle but we were very glad we did. Service was personable, timely and very professional. Food was very tasty too. Really delicious. Plus we ordered dessert. We sat out on the terrace. The atmosphere, decor and tables were excellent. The onsite table tennis and playground were great for our kids too.

With 12 people ate, nice atmosphere, good service. Thai coconut soup absolutely recommended. Point for improvement is the aperol spritz, 9.5 euros for a watery aperol without a trace of prosecco is really not right. When giving feedback a lukewarm reaction "oh we never hear that"

Formerly the Fazanterie. In the summer cycling competitions were held for charity. I always participated. Was very nice and well organized. My grandparents also celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary there. Great party and delicious food. Nice terrace in the forest, everyone ❤️

Ik ken de Fazanterie, nu Fazant, al jaaaaren. Locatie en sfeer is top. Het eten smakeloos. We geven het iedere keer een kans, maar gaan zonder voldaan gevoel naar huis. De borrelplank, waar je niks aan kan mispeuteren is goed. Tonijn carpaccio smaakte naar niks. Vroeg om wasabi, hadden ze niet alleen wasbak mayonaise die nergens naar smaakte. Zo ook de carpaccio rund van mijn moeder. Vispannetje die we de keer daarvoor ophanden ook geen enkele smaak aan. Zelfs de kaas smaakte naar niks. De biefstuk van mijn man idemdito en mijn tante vertelde dat ze zo "vies" had gegeten vorige week. Jammer. Aan de recensies te zien ben ik niet de enige. Misschien moeten jullie toch eens iets aan jullie ingrediëntenkeuze doen om de smaakpapillen te strelen.

Vanavond hier diner gehad met een vriendin. Overall prima ervaring: klantvriendelijk wanneer ze bij je zijn, goede kaart en gerechten waren naar wens. Enkel wel vaak zelf om bediening gevraagd ipv dat ze naar je toe kwamen, dat mag echt wel beter.

After telephone contact, we went by, as discussed, to discuss the options for a coffee table. We were spoken to while standing. It soon became apparent that nothing at all was possible for a group of fewer than 40 people. We could get a corner in the brasserie and all guests would have to order from the menu. And yet they indicate on their site that they specialize in condolence meetings. We didn't notice anything about that.

Spring sun and terrace. 1+1= crowds (reserved TIP) full terrace. Had a cup of coffee inside. Lots of staff who 'run well'. Beautiful place as a stop for a walking-cycling tour. A nice playground for the kids!

Had dinner with a large group at De Fazant. The service was friendly and provided us with everything we asked for. For example, changing a plate was no problem at all. The food was great. Pork tenderloin very tender, chicken satay well cooked and soft. We all enjoyed a delicious dessert. Portions were just right.

Ik weet niet wat er aan de hand is bij De Fazant maar het is bedroevend slecht geworden. Personeel vooral met zichzelf bezig en vinden zichzelf echt meest interessante persoon op de aardbodem. In de horeca is dat volgens mij de gast ... Eten ook ver onder niveau. Met de nieuwe kaart lopen de prijzen volledig uit z'n verband, zeker voor de kwaliteit. Brood bij salade moet tegenwoordig zelfs betaald worden. Kortom: te duur, te slechte kwaliteit van eten en personeel. Kom voorlopig even niet meer. Dit was namelijk mijn tweede ervaring in korte tijd bij De Fazant

Visited De Phezant during a party. Gluten-free beers were brought to my house, well organised! There was no alternative for me with the snacks that were passed around. At the end of the evening, the cone of fries was gluten-free for me and a gluten-free snack was also added. This could perhaps have been spread a little better. Friendly staff, nice location, lots of parking space.

Sent an email 3 weeks ago for a reservation for lunch with a large group of people. No response was received and after calling several times they said they would call us back and/or answer the email. This has not happened yet either. It's a shame and bad that they don't keep their promise.

Slecht eten en vreselijk management die klacht niet serieus neemt. Eten was koud, vet en enorm veel te zout. Voor ons de laatste keer dat we hier ooit nog eens gaan dineren. Een echte afrader, dus! Enkele maanden terug hadden we een zelfde ervaring en gaven het dit keer nog een kans. Dat is kortom geen goede beslissing geweest.

Despite all the pretenses of De Fazant, the chicken patty with fries was very disappointing. For 14.50 euros you get a lukewarm blob of modified starch on your plate with not a piece of chicken visible (at most a few strings of meat). You also get an absurdly small portion of fries. 2 weeks ago we got married at De Phezant. Thanks to them we had a wonderful day. The wedding hall, terraces and courtyard are so beautifully decorated that you really don't need your own decoration. The food is delicious, the service is nice and attentive, and the location is beautifully situated in the forest and has a nice relaxed atmosphere. We also had pleasant contact with Jurgen during the preparation. He thinks along, responds quickly and has good tips to make the day run smoothly. It's that we only get married once, but otherwise we would definitely come back here as a wedding location ;)

Highly recommended! We had a delicious meal with the family. We ate the chef's menu (3-course), burrata starter, Caesar salad and burger de Fazant. Generous portions and very tasty.

We ate here with family (9 people). Nice location (wooded), beautiful building, large with various rooms and also tent cloths to sit outside dry or out of the sun. Excellent menu with plenty of choice and also a chef's menu of which you can also order the 3 courses separately. We opted for a burrata salad and smoked salmon with brioche bun (chef's menu), the pork tenderloin with red wine sauce and roasted cauliflower and a children's dessert, espresso and coffee afterwards. Nice meal.

Were neatly assigned a table. Then we didn't see anyone else to bring the map or ask if we wanted to use anything. We got on again after 20 minutes. And it wasn't even that busy.

Unfortunately our experience on 21/4/24 5:30 PM was not that good. The ordered beer was forgotten. The fries consisted of 50% hard pieces, and looked tasteless with their dark fries. After 17 people walked past the table, none of the staff took away the plates that we had placed on the corner of the table. when we left they were still there. As staff I have only seen young people who did not consider the customers important. I may have been there at the wrong time, but my experience was that there is still plenty of room for improvement here. A complaint is free business advice. Greetings, Peter

Had a super tasty meal here recently so went back today for a late lunch. Such a shame that with this good weather they partially close the sun terrace and let you go home again while there was plenty of room.

This was our third time at the pheasant and now never again. You are never allowed to sit where you want. And if you do find a nice place, you will be asked to move because that part will be closed. This time we made a reservation for a meal. The service was friendly... Not pleasant and quite arrogant. (older graying man) My husband's meal was lukewarm and not tasty. Too much seasoning and dry. When the waiter asked if he had enjoyed the meal, my husband said no, it was too cold and really not tasty, which was also clear from his plate where most of it was still on it. The waiter said "oh that's weird, no one ever complains about that" You don't say that! You say: sorry you didn't like it. You never make your guest feel as if his opinion or feeling is wrong. The man was quite arrogant, we were ignored afterwards. No question whether we would like dessert or a drink afterwards. It wasn't busy, we were really ignored. I had to ask myself if we could have a coffee. The two older men who were serving may be replaced. One wants to joke and comes across as childish, the other is arrogant and loud. It's been something every time... Never again.
