Café Soestdijk in Centrum

Enjoyed my steak with mushroom sauce, and the golden fries were delicious also! The place is nothing fancy, and the service is prompt and correct.

Very nice cafe! Good and attentive service. Cozy atmosphere! Good food! First we had a few beers on the terrace and then ate inside. The mussels were excellent! Definitely recommended!

I've wanted to go here for a while as it's always busy and looks like a really nice dutch bar, but having a 3 year old it didn't seem appropriate, but I was home alone for the weekend so thought i would give it a try. I wasn't wrong, friendly staff, good atmosphere, and good beer. It was busy outside, but plenty of room inside.

We actually come here too often, but that's probably because of the atmosphere and quality :)

I was at this cafe with two other friends and we were drinking some beers and having a super nice time but one friend wasn’t drinking. Although me and my friend had both ordered and intended to order more we were told we weren’t allowed to stay if our one friend didn’t order a drink. The rest of the place was quite empty as well so it wasn’t because it was packed and other people would bring more business. This is the first time anything like this has happened and it was super unfortunate as I thought it was a super lovely place and was recommending it to a lot of people. I wouldn’t recommend going anymore as it was done in quite a rude manner.

I spent half an hour at this place to catch up with some friends who were having beers at a table. Unfortunately, we were abruptly asked to leave because I didn’t plan on ordering anything, even though my friends were going to stay and order more drinks. Considering the place was empty, we weren’t taking up space unnecessarily. It was clear that the only concern was making money, with no regard for customer experience or hospitality. The lack of courtesy from the staff made the experience quite unpleasant making us feel uncomfortable.

Soestdijk is just a nice place to go spontaneously and have a delicious meal (very good value for money) and then have a drink afterwards. Just a nice place and it will be great when the Friday drinks last until late. In short; nice tent, good food and fun!

Super nice and cozy café on the 'Grote Kromme Elleboog' in the heart of Groningen. I only used the cafe but the food looked very simple but tasty. They have a nice beer list (great location to enjoy a nice special beer). The staff was also super friendly and hospitable. The atmosphere and location are perfect!

What a nice and cozy cafe! I have never eaten such a delicious steak tartare. Staff was spontaneous and had time for a chat. Unfortunately, my sea bream was not very warm, which did not affect the taste. We will definitely come back here again.

When you sit in this beautiful cafe, it feels like the sun is shining just a little brighter and the beer has never flowed down so easily. The employees provide hospitable service at Champions League level, so that the moment your freshly empty glass hits the table is immediately followed by a fresh yellow rascal suddenly appearing. Like a perfectly timed rainbow breaking through the dark clouds, it almost seems as if there had always been only one glass.

Best moules et frites when in season! Overall great atmosphere and all dishes I tried so far are recommendable.

Didn't eat this time, mater i In the past you could always eat well here. Koningsmaal is especially recommended. Good atmosphere. In the early evening until midnight for the middle age and after 00:00 the "youth" is more active.

Eind van de middag met onze oudste dochter en haar vriendin bij Soestdijk heerlijk gegeten. De boerenschnitzel met spekjes was top. Dat gold ook voor de patatjes en de salade. Verder waren de zalm en de varkensmedaillon ook heel lekker. Vlotte en vriendelijke bediening.

Goed en attent personeel. Mooie bar leuke en lekkere biertjes. Prima bar om een middagje te vertoeven.

Super gezellige kroeg met een heerlijke sfeer

Helaas iets gestolen in de zaak (laptops) tijdens afscheid feest van collega.

Net te weinig personeel om 4 sterren te krijgen, wijn was te warm, verder niets te klagen.

Alleen wat gedronken, de Ijkwitbier was niet mijn smaak, daarom maar een Weizen genomen die smaakte lekker. Helaas was er niet zoveel te beleven, misschien dat we eerder hadden moeten zijn.

Leuk en gezellig.. samen met mijn dochter wezen lunchen..kaart voor diner zag er goed uit.. ik vond de lunch kaart apart en dan ook wat minder aantrekkelijk.. maar ja... smaken verschillen..
