Nachtcafé Warhol in Centrum

Critical reviews are apparently reported by the owner and removed by Google based on a few mildly offensive words. That's fine, though; it didn't erase the negative experience, so I'll simply reinstate my one-star review.

The security at the door handled this situation very poorly. Absolutely no empathy or understanding. Security knows exactly how this happened. I understand you have rules about who's allowed in and who's not. But if you don't make an exception for this reason, there's a real lack of empathy. I would absolutely not recommend going here again.

Warhol is a little different, with its own musical style featuring pop and 90s music. The first floor has a great dance floor for groups and its own bar on that floor. A cool pub/club atmosphere for fans of Rico and a touch of grunge. Cozy atmosphere thanks to good mood lighting and a low ceiling with beams. Cloakrooms are available right at the entrance. The quality of the security guards and bar staff at Warhol is sometimes inconsistent compared to other clubs, bars, and cafes. The standards of the IBO, SVPB, and WPBR are not always met here. Of course, this isn't necessarily Warhol's fault. Warhol is accessible via a narrow corridor, the Papengang, located on Peperstraat. Conclusion: Warhol has its own unique concept with its own unique musical style.

My favorite bar in Groningen. Very alternative vibes, good music and seems LGBTQ+ friendly. As a queer person I feel safe here

An excellent nightclub where you can be yourself and dance to all kinds of music, as long as it has a beat. And with friendly staff who can help you with anything. I've been going there for decades.

As a tourist I enjoyed it. The drinks were good, cocktails were also pretty decent. Not alcohol intensive but fair priced. Music I don't know. Probably depends on the day, but I liked it. Overall a much better experienced than I expected from a club/bar.

I thought it was supposed to be an alternative club but the DJ keeps playing basic radio mixes. The metal bar makes up for it partially.

A friend of mine was here yesterday and had to pay 80 euros for a coke... Of course this must have been an accident and overlooked due to a drunken stupor, it would be nice if someone could get in touch to look for a solution :)

We like it but mister big boss Warhol doesn't like us. We weren't allowed to request Promiscuous because "this isn't the 9th circle" "sweetheart" A bit of a shame but it's nice because it's cheap

Nice bar! Another tip: if you hang on a beam for 1 minute, the staff will give you a free beer.

Cozy club (nice atmosphere) on the Papengang in Groningen! The club is named after Andy Warhol (famous American Pop Art artist in the 1950s and 1960s). Several of his art forms are incorporated into the interior. The business itself is spacious, with a neat wardrobe and a nice large bar where you can sit. The club is known for its alternative rock and pop music.

I can't understand the reviews here. The cocktails tasted terrible. We tried 8 cocktails between 10 p.m. and midnight, all for €5 per cocktail. (From midnight each cocktail costs 10 euros) All but one are much too sour, very little alcohol and with the cheapest fuel of all. We both had heartburn later. The bar itself is okay and the staff is friendly and mixes the cocktails very professionally. But the taste was a disaster! Music was different, from rock, hip hop to pop. We were hoping for electronic music. Unfortunately in vain. Unfortunately not recommended!

So, last time I was here they made a small mistake with the payment of my drinks, however they got in contact and everything is fixed! Amazing service! Friendly staff, and definitely good cocktails (and worth the price, both before and after midnight ^-^)

great vibe, lovely people, cocktails that are well worth your money! definitely check out the top floor! only the bouncer was a bit tough. I was by myself, and I never go out. and I get that he needs to check everyone before letting them in, but he immediately switched his focus to another group mid sentence I felt rather left out. it made me feel really self conscious, so I wanted to walk away. luckily he called me back (rather arrogantly), and told me "he was talking to me as well). didn't feel like it, mate. but I'm glad I went in, because inside it's very fun. always thought I didn't like going out, period. but it really depends on the people, the music, and how much you feel welcomed into an unknown space.

Very nice tent, but there is 1 very bad security guard. You can have a great time there, but once the security guard in question gets a certain image of you, you won't be able to enter even sober... hence the "protest vote"

Everything was so good!!! Would deffo recommend all their cocktails, they’re actually proper cocktails (which you don’t encounter much in Groningen anymore) ((no pre-made mixes)) the staff and the atmosphere were also amazing!

If you like an "alternative" ambiance, this is a proper place to be.

Excellent alternative club, and still my go-to in Groningen. Feels safer than most clubs, and has some great music. Also a huge fan of the 5 euro cocktails before 12pm, which are all prepared by the amazing bartenders. Can definitely recommend!

Coolest late bar in Groningen. Decor is extremely interesting and the vibe is always enjoyable. Definitely a great spot to end/spend a night.

Pretty good music and decent drink choices. I recommend coming here before 12:00 as the cocktails are 5€ then (incredible value really)…the Long Island Is the weirdest I’ve had so far tho, tastes like syrup

Voor mij al jaren de place to go in het nachtleven van Groningen, een zeer divers publiek en veelal lekkere muziek. Meeste barkeepers zijn zeer vriendelijk! Helaas hebben niet alle barkeepers er even veel zin in, en wordt je soms zeer matig behandeld.

Cooler Club mit Bar. Die sehr netten Jungs servieren Erste Klasse Cocktails und bis Mitternacht zu einem sensationellen Preis. Für einen Nachtclub erfreulich sauber.

Eenmaal binnen geen enkele klacht. Leuke sfeer, aardig barpersoneel, goede muziek. Echter, de oudere portier (die van de stempels) verpest jullie naam totaal. Arrogant en opgefokt naar bezoekers. Geen idee wat de reden erachter is want dit jaagt bezoekers weg. Zonde voor zo'n leuke tent.

Muziek is altijd een hit or miss, de ene avond ken ik geen nummers de andere avond alle.
