This is NOT a gay bar; it has some gay elements, perhaps it's openly gay, but the atmosphere inside is entirely heterosexual. If you're visiting and looking for something authentic with gay people, this isn't the right place. It's nice, yes, small, and you might see one or three gay people, but everyone else is heterosexual.

Absolutely authentic proper bar, superb beers and incredibly friendly welcoming staff. Feel the history oozing out of the place, the cellar is an eye-opener and keep your head low!

Just a quick black coffee in this place frozen in time. Tons of details to observe. We ran into a few regulars but no tourists, which is nice in this area. It has the atmosphere of a local café where a ghost, well-known to the whole community, still roams. Go there!

It's great to be having drinks there again. It's funny how hundreds of ties hang from the ceilings. My dad's tie is even still hanging there. Great place in a great location.

It was a rainy day and we had about a 40 minute wait for our table at a restaurant. A group of six popped in and we were welcomed and served drinks. Being tourist, of course we did not know it is a gay bar but they welcomed us, too. I would go back if I was in Amsterdam again. They have a good selection of draught beers and cocktails. The bartender is handsome and friendly.

This is a classic Amsterdam brown bar which has reopened and restored. We stopped in for a quick beer, which turned into two. The atmosphere is indescribably Dutch. A must see for yourself. I highly recommend. The two people behind the bar are super friendly and helpful. Beer selection is decent.

A few years ago I was just chilling there having a beer while the bartender was aggressively retorting to us about Israel (I was talking about cities I'd like to visit, including Jerusalem). Never felt so much hate. Now we have moved on and the hatred is still palpable. Sad mess.

Okay so, after reading some old review claiming this to be an old lesbian bar and others calling it a gay bar, my girlfriend and I went out of our way to check it out. It's... not really a queer bar? It may be queer as in strange, in terms of the decor, but the clientelle was not. We had a drink then left rather disappointed.

Entramos sin saber nada del lugar, terminó siendo una experiencia increíble, las chicas de la barra son sumamente amables, el ambiente es muy bueno, los precios son justos y el bar tiene mucha historia. Adicionalmente, puedes pedirles a las chicas de la barra que reproduzcan canciones que te gusten (deben de ir con el mood del lugar). Definitivamente regresaré.

La música y la decoración es algo excepcional, es perfecto para hablar de cada cosa que ves alrededor tomarte algo y disfrutar.

Erg leuk en knus cafe. Ik had veel gehoord over dit cafe door de podcast de Lesbische Liga (ook een aanrader voor iedereen) en ben toen eens langs geweest. Ik was hier op een zaterdagavond. Die avond waren er vooral mensen van 30+ binnen. Ik ben zelf 23, dus niet helemaal de sfeer die ik zocht. Het was echter wel gezellig en denk ik zeker een leuk cafe voor andere.

Fantastyczna miejscówka na mapie tęczowego Amsterdamu. Koniecznie do odwiedzenia, nie raz! Wystrój niesamowity z obciętymi krawatami i innymi imponderabiliami porozwieszanymi na powale (podobno goście w krawatach tak je tracili, a to są trofea!). Lokal ma ciągle wiele drobiazgów z minionych epok. Bardzo dobry wybór trunków i piw. Przesympatyczna obsługa i wesoła kompania gości do picia i zabawy! Rewelacyjna muzyka z lat 60-80-tych. Nic tylko bawić się do rana!

Sehr gemütliches und nostalgisches Bar / Café. Vor allem, weil es eine der ältesten gay Bars ist, wird es zu einer Art „Must have been there location“ für mich. Nicht zu vergessen sind die beiden Betreiberinnen, die so freundlich und herzlich sind, dass man sich direkt wohlfühlt. Auf einen Drink sollte jeder mal vorbeigeschaut haben.

Nieuwe eigenaren in dit café met een bijzondere en zeer oude historie. Geweldig hoe dat in tact is gelaten. Wat een gezellige en warme sfeer als je alleen of met gezelschap binnenloopt! Een café voor iedereen en met muziek voor iedereen en… er mag gedanst worden. Ga zo door en tot gauw! 🥳
