Exceptional LGBT+ bar. The staffs are really welcoming and skilled. I felt really comfortable being there the whole time.

Open, friendly, and fun. The waiters were incredibly kind, we felt very comfortable, and we will definitely come back.

Really overpriced “large” cola. Which is pretty much the same size as a small cola. It was 6€ for a 300ml cola. Crazy prices… just don’t order a large 😅

The walls are adorned with beautiful artwork, and the theme of the bar is quite appealing.

The best gay cafe in Amsterdam. Lovely, large, and cozy terrace. It's super nice inside too. Delicious cocktails, wines, beers, and other alcoholic drinks. The bar snacks are finger-licking good. The staff is always super, super friendly. I've been coming here for years and it's always a good time. This summer, De Prik turns 20, and that's no small feat. Here's to the next 20 years.

Drinks are great, but some staff aren’t friendly. We were a large group of women (which they market as acceptable), but one of the workers was not polite to us whatsoever. Every other worker was fantastic, but the man was disrespectful to us women and acted as if we weren’t welcome in the space.

I came here because CHAT GPT told me it is the best gay bar in Amsterdam. Well, no lies . Friendly stuff, CLEAN toilets, good beer , and clients are polite. At least , the day I visited it. I’ll be back here for sure when I’ll come back to Amsterdam . 🥰 They have karaoke nights every sundays ! It should be so much fun haha ✨

The location is nice and drinks are good ( cocktails ). Food ok, nothing special when it comes to fast food. Cocktails are around 10€, food around 10€-12€. Service, not so great, the waiter kept on forgetting our order, passed us by many times, smiling and forgetting our drinks. In the end i didnt ask for it and it was forgotten. Most of the clients have the really bad habit of sitting in the middle of the corridor/path, not caring other people have to use the toilet or go to the bar. Same in front of the place, where you can smoke. Toilets are pretty weird because there is one next to the stairs, then urinals, then another toilet. Pretty weird setup.

Prik was always our fav place. We go there for 20 years with my husband. Friendly faces, nice service. Today, not so much. Guy doing service with a smug face and a huge attitude. We asked if we could sit at the table that was reserved at 4 and it was already 4:50. He didnt let us to sit there, my husband broke his foot so we wanted to sit comfortably. After we were waiting 40 minutes for the coctails we got tired of it and my husband cancelled it saying we were waiting too long. Instead of apologizing and being nice we got, of course disgusting attitude and arguing. I surely hope these guys won't be there working there too long.

The person who attended me in the bar was quiet rude and wanted to know if there is a way to transmite my complain to management. He said ‘best you can that you can leave a comment but it doesnt really matter’ . Probably super bad management and they are not aware about those Issue. Such a sad story because its in a such a great location and seemed to have nice menu…

Great place for drinks. They have an outside seating area as well. There is some food that you can order, but a big menu, but typical bar food type stuff.

Safe space and amazing atmosphere. Friendly& attentive staff. Delicious cocktails and extensive gin selection! Patio was lively and is such a vibe. Came back the next night for Latin night. Great music and not too stuffy. As a tourist I value these spaces and will hold on to this memory! Will return :)

Went for a pub quiz today, very nice bar!

We stopped there for a short coffee break. The coffee was delicious and the staff were so wonderfully friendly ❤️. The atmosphere was cozy with an outdoor area.

This is my favorite place in the world. Whenever I travel to other countries, I look for somewhere like this—but I still haven’t found anything that comes close. Every time I come to Amsterdam, I make sure to stop by, even if it’s just for one beer (which usually turns into every day). Endless thanks to David and the team. No other bar can match the experience I have here.

During our recent visit to Amsterdam, my son and I visited PRIK for a quick drink before heading to the train station. I found the bar menu really impressive, I ordered a cocktail based on my Star Sign which was really fun, and it came with a fortune cookie too. The bar staff were incredibly friendly, service was great and our drinks were perfect! I loved the vibe in this bar so much, it was just so cool!

I genuinely felt like the bar staff assumed I was straight and treated me differently because of it. Thoes queens need to get over themselves 😂 🤣 your only a shop girl serving drinks 😂 The contrast was obvious — when a gay man was served, they were suddenly friendly and warm. Whoever walks through the door deserves the same level of respect. People rightly complain about being judged or treated unfairly, but it cuts both ways. No one should be treated differently based on assumptions. That said, it’s a small bar with a good vibe overall — and definitely some very sexy men there too 😅

We were there for the first time last night and had some food 😋🍟 It was delicious, with great vegan and gluten-free options and a great atmosphere :) and the service was really lovely and attentive!!

Visited here with my boyfriend in December 2025 on a city break to Amsterdam from the UK - what a bar! Didn't eat here unfortunately, we wanted to however when we visited we had already eaten and didn't get the chance to go back during the rest of our trip. We wanted the curly fries! Staff were great, very welcoming and friendly. Atmosphere was really good too, mixed crowd and good music. Drinks were amazing! Love a good cocktail and Prik definitely delivered. Would highly recommend to anyone LGBT+ and would return if I were to visit Amsterdam again.

Went to attend an ADE 2025 event “Free Love” by women electronic musicians and the security guy was extremely rude and disrespectful. Didn’t let us in for no reason!

OMG, this is such a fun gay bar! I felt completely at home there as a little gay man. The cocktails are super original and really delicious, the decor and atmosphere are so fun and so gay. I had a blast. Oh, and the music is such a vibe! If only clubs played that kind of music.

One of the best queer bars in Amsterdam, the music is great and the terrace is ideal, especially when it's hot. What makes this bar unique is that they have prosecco on tap. The cocktails are very good, but take a long time to prepare. Only order them if you have time to wait.

Simply a fun nightlife venue in the heart of Amsterdam where you can socialize and enjoy a drink with fellow travelers in a relaxed atmosphere.

In town with a few friends from Dallas Texas. We went inside to grab drinks and no one acknowledged or greeted us. We sat for several minutes and was not waited on. However it appeared that some regulars came after we were seated in the received instant service and drinks! I will never come back! Disappointed in the LGBTQ establishment!

Cute bar and the staff were friendly. I chose to visit because of the bars reputation as the best gay bar in Amsterdam and as I had read these reviews on LGBTQI+ sources, I interpreted gay as an umbrella term, but as the only female couple in the venue I felt out of place and as though I was intruding on a space that was exclusively gay men. Im sure as a gay male presenting person, you would enjoy this bar very much and have a lovely time. We had cider but their cocktail list looked fantastic

Absolutely huge cocktail list of impressively delicious cocktails. Service is outstanding. Their snacks and food are really delicious too. The outside area is fantastic for people watching and chilling.

Fantastic cocktails, taste good and the bartenders are very good in making and serving those. If you want a cocktail, what's not on the menu, they know how to make it. The owners are very nice and decent people. It's a very good place to meet and just relax there. I was never disappointed. I'm maybe 3 time a year there, but when in Amsterdam, I go there for sure.
