Everything was great, the young man who served us was simply amazing

Don't go to this café! We were promised "free fries and sauces," which wasn't true! The food wasn't tasty either. The burger was missing sauce, the fries weren't seasoned, the bacon wasn't cooked through, and the meat wasn't cooked all the way through. It's best to avoid this café!

Never again!!! The service was unfriendly and unenthusiastic… the food was cold and absolutely not recommended for the high price.

I think this is a typical tourist trap. There was a staff member greeting you outside the restaurant. Saying that all the food is fresh and homemade. However It was simple average cafe food at restaurant prices. We ordered the mixed grill which was very disappointing, compared to the picture on the menu, the steak was extremely small and very tough. Very small portions of each meat. (It was like when you order something from Temu and it arrives 1/3 of the size you expected) Others in my group ordered burgers which did look ok, but you have to order fries separately.

Bad service, waitress dropping knife down my leg. Awful burger, tasted like it was from a freezer and they charged 1€ extra for sauce in a burger! So had a burger without sauce. Chips weren’t included. It was tourist trap and the food was crap The waitress was on cloud nine, we asked in different languages for a beer and she acknowledged once she realised she forgot about us. I think she was away with the fairies.

Not here! The grilled chicken fillet was tasteless and the ribs were both dry and tough. When the waitress asked if everything was good and I said no and explained why she just walked away. No apology or compensation, we ended up leaving half of the food and leaving. The sangria was also not good, avoid this place!

Terrible place! Total scam on weight and food quality. Coming here was a huge mistake. Before we went in, the staff told us that the Mix Grill for two (which costs €32) would contain around 400–500 grams of meat. In reality, there was 200 grams at most. The actual dish looks absolutely nothing like the picture in the menu. The meat was incredibly dry, rubbery, and completely tasteless. The ribs were just two tiny, bone-dry pieces. The chicken steak was the size of half a palm and dry as a rock, while the kebab was just a small, dense, basic patty. The steak was the worst part of all — it was barely 10 centimeters long, and 40% of it was just a massive chunk of pure fat. The salad was a complete joke, consisting of three shreds of cabbage, one slice of an unripe tomato, and a single slice of orange that looked like it had been squeezed three times before serving. At the entrance, they also kept telling us how great their burgers were, but when I saw a burger served at the next table, it looked no better than a basic McDonald's cheeseburger. If you are a tourist, or even if you are starving to death, do not step foot into this place under any circumstances. It is a total disappointment. The 2.4 rating is absolutely well-deserved. Highly NOT recommended!

We actually sat down to escape the rain, but we left satisfied. I don't understand why the rating is so low. We tried the paella, it was good, we liked it. The staff were very nice.

The burger was good, but the service was terrible. The waitress who had a little girl with her was very rude and didn't provide good service, but she even tried to "joke" to get a tip. I would never go back. 🙅‍♀️

Overall I was very disappointed with the experience. Food was okay but definitely not to the standard we were expecting. The service really wasn’t great - we were pretty much neglected after being sat down and had to get the waiters attention ourselves to order and pay the bill at the end. There was so much confusion with ordering because the waiters memorise the orders instead of just writing them down - which led to us getting the wrong dish, and one of the dishes missed out completely. When we brought this to their attention it was dealt with very rudely - no apologies at all. We left feeling deflated and gutted we didn’t go somewhere else. All in all I would not recommend this place.

The food was okay, but nothing special and didn’t feel like authentic spanish tapas. The service was what really let us down though: although initially we were greeted in a friendly manner we seemed to be forgotten about once seated, despite being the only people in the restaurant. Eventually our orders were taken and the lady had to come over multiple times to double check what our order was (as she was remembering it instead of writing it down). Eventually it came out and it was not what was had ordered. The server tried to make us feel stupid for this mistake, despite us clearly stating what we wanted. One of our main dishes was just never brought out (clearly forgotten about), and when we flagged this to our server she did not seem apologetic at all and just asked if we still wanted it. Overall not a great experience.

Avoid at all costs! The steak was way overcooked, the hamburger was dry and had no sauce. The fries were frozen. There was no atmosphere whatsoever.

I think the chef only had photos of the various food items and had to reverse engineer them. Eggs Benedict? Bread, overcooked eggs, “ham” and hollandaise sauce (melted cheese). Shakshuka - eggs in stewed tomatoes. A burger with an entire uncut avocado half (score!) on it. That all being said, the food wasn’t terrible. Though it was expensive.

Sauce for the burger has to be ordered separately. The veggie burger was very good, the chicken burger was okay.

We had breakfast there. The staff was somewhat unprofessional, and the food was very bland. It would have been better to cook ourselves.

-Dry chicken burger for around 18€ ( bread roll, 1 small slice of fried chicken breast, 2 liten salad leaves, no dressing at all) there is much better quality in Mc Donald 's -side salad for 8€( old salad leaves, 3 slices of cucumber, 4 pcs olives,4 slices tomatoes, no dressing on the salad at all neither Boring food and expensive! Small portions.. Don't recommend at all! And of course still not possible to pay by card ( they don't want to pay tax )

the cafe is in a lovely place, great view. Me and my daughter got the pancakes with strawberries. I was suprised with the amount of strawberries, as back in Ireland you wouldve gotten a quarter of the amount for the same price. A bit dissapointing considering it was 10 euro per pancake meal, and it was just ONE pancake. not very filling, but tasty. Be aware they prefer paying with cash, which isint great.

The kingdom of frozen foods at gourmet prices. If you ask for bread with your meatballs in sauce, don't expect more than two recycled slices. For three, €60. Ketchup for the fries is €1, as is the salmon on the side. The paella was defrosted... I don't know why we came in.

The service was very nice, but that's about it. The food was tasteless. The steak was stringy and very tough. The ribs were dry and tasteless. The only plus was the fries, which are rather common in the Netherlands. The fish was flavorless.

We got paella and Spainishh meatballs it was lovely lots of flavours. Quite shocked to see how bad the reviews are as our meal was really good.

I was extremely disappointed! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because the service was anything but friendly. They barely gave us time to finish our drinks before asking us to leave! Disrespectful, unpleasant, dirty, and disgusting! Avoid this place at all costs; it's definitely not worth it.

Unacceptable! I came here for tea/coffee and was kicked out after 20 minutes because there weren't enough tables for other people who wanted to eat. There was no queue and plenty of empty tables. They just wanted to throw us out because we're young and only had tea/coffee (which, by the way, was nothing special). The staff told us to "vacate our table" when someone came in or shoved the bill in our faces to make us leave. Absolutely no respect for young people. Avoid this place!

The driest burger I've ever tried to eat, no sauce whatsoever, and not cooked through. A complete waste of money.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! Food was horrendous, burger had no sauce, to which i asked for ketchup and mayo, which i only realised in the bill i was charged a euro each for ketchup and mayo!. Service horrendous, staff just wearing hoodies and jeans no etiquette. Not a single care given by staff. Worst restaurant experience in a good 7 years of consistent eating out. Wouldnt tend to wish bad on people ventures, however whoever runs this restaurant needs to rethink it

Awful service, stood on their phones and chatting when we needed assistance. Food was not good at all and had to pay for basic condiments. No one asked us how the food was and if we needed anything. Horrendous experience as a couple visiting Amsterdam for the first time. Do not recommend.

Honestly, if there were zero stars, they'd have -10. I went in at night and didn't read that it said "English break," and since that's supposedly the most spoken language there, I spoke English. From that moment on, the server treated me horribly. There was another unpleasant white woman who also treated me terribly. I just wanted something hot to drink and plain water. They rushed me. What an awful experience! I'm human and I make mistakes. If they had told me not to speak English, I would have used a translator. Honestly, I don't recommend going if you want to be treated badly. What terrible service! I hope they see the comments and change the staff. Such bitter and unpleasant people! What a disgraceful service!

Stopped when passing as a group of 6 and wish we hadn’t, small portion sizes, sausages are like cocktail sausages. Asked for ketchup and was brought six tiny pots over. When paying was suprised to see we were charge €6 for the ketchup and then told they don’t take card. Cash point we were pointed to opposite charge €4 to withdraw too. Wasn’t the end of the world but wouldn’t come back here

Very tasty English breakfast, very friendly staff

Food is very over priced. Service is bad. Waitresses are rude and the food was a joke. Ordered pancakes with chocolate. They literally threw 2 small packs of nutella on the pancakes, they couldn't even be bothered to spread the "sauce" on the food. Also, tired paying with card but they insisted a lot on us paying with cash even though we kept refusing. They finally accepted to let us pay by card but their card reader "wasn't working" the place is literally a scam

Type of breakfast you’d prepare for yourself at home. The waitress seemed VERY joyful, kept getting our orders wrong. No card payments, only cash. We were forced to leave the coffee, if you could call it that. Undrinkable.

Visiting this establishment was an experience that could only be endured with the utmost self-control. The service displayed a remarkable lack of direction, the decor looked like the result of a spontaneous decluttering session. The croissant resembled a gift from a private home, the orange juice a watered-down school drink. The coffee was an abomination, the eggs rubbery, the baked beans watery and resigned. You don't leave this place satisfied, but rather pensive. HandOfBlood would say, "You have to know." I say, "Just stay out of there."

They forced us to pay in cash for a table of 11 people. None of us had cash, and we had to withdraw money with a €4.50 fee. They said the POS was broken! THIS KIND OF THINGS CAN'T EXIST IN 2025! Plus, we had a train, and they made us waste a lot of time, risking missing it! Especially if there's a problem like this, it should be reported at the beginning, not at the end! SHAME! Don't go there at all.

We came as a group of 11 for dinner. Overall, the food was average, but the reason for the one-star rating was when, at the time of payment, we were initially told that it had to be a single bill and then that we couldn't pay by card. An inexpensive cafe in the city center. Very good service, friendly staff. Delicious food, fast preparation. For the city center, the prices are very reasonable. You can sit both outside and inside.

Rubbery, oily fish, frozen fries that tasted rancid, dry burgers, and steaks that were as tough as a shoe. The only positive: the staff is friendly. But the price is completely excessive for such poor quality food. Stay away.

Me and my boyfriend both ordered steaks I ordered mine rare and it was not rare at all. Very disappointing as I had been looking forward to a good steak all day. The waiters came over at very short intervals even though we had asked them to wait until we had chosen something to drink. Nice enough place to eat but we won't be back.

TO ABSOLUTELY AVOID!!!! One of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. I saw the waitress drop a cutlery on the floor, and instead of washing it, she quietly put it back with the others. Disgusting. My friend found a hair in her burger: the waitress promised to change it, but when we returned, we clearly saw that it was the same dish that they gave us to take away. (See picture). As for my burger, it arrived half raw. Total lack of hygiene, respect and professionalism. It's not just a bad day, it's a real problem. Go your way!!! Ps: if I could have given no stars I would have done so.

Let’s just say average across the board. The bacon and eggs breakfast is not an exciting meal and I asked for crispy bacon and received something totally undercooked. The eggs were burnt and only white toast was available. With coffees for 2 people 36€.

the worst service in the world. We went in because we found the menu and its prices interesting. We sat down and before ordering we asked the waitress if we could charge the cell phone to pay (we only used a card on the cell phone) to which in a very horrible and rude attitude she responded no, that they don't have a place to charge the cell phone even if we were consuming. Obviously we left and when we left he said in mediocre English that we should go to hell... for being tourists who are only looking for charging for their cell phones. We stopped by **Café Tapas Bar** near Amsterdam’s Central Station for a quick dinner, drawn by its convenient location. Despite the fancy-sounding name, it’s more of a casual dining spot. The service was fine—nothing special but adequate. As for the food, we opted for mostly fried options to play it safe. My steak, ordered medium rare, was okay but leaned toward being a bit tough. Overall, the food was decent, though nothing particularly memorable. Be warned though that the portion for the Fish and Chips and some of the side dishes are quite small for the price It’s a good option if you’re looking for something quick and close to the station, but it’s quite expensive for some mains and sides, and don’t expect anything extraordinary.

So I was at this restaurant one day. I went inside because the price of the meal I wanted sounded reasonable. So I got my garlic chicken for 8€. And I ordered orange juice also. I was waiting to be served and observed the discrimination and outright bullying of an individual with a well-behaved and legitimate service dog. The restaurant should be ashamed. If you are someone who lives with a disability don't go here! Unless discrimination is what you desire. We went there with my husband's service dog and we were, at first fairly politely, told we HAD to sit outside with our dog, when we explained she is a service dog they rudely said they don't care no dogs are allowed anywhere that food is served...wrong...I tried to explain that according to the government of the Netherlands service dogs are allowed in any public establishments, the incredibly rude girl behind the bar said "Those maybe your house rules, BYE!" We went to Cafe Tapas thinking it was a great option due to how the cafe looks and with its location. The service was horrible and the waiters were rude (throwing sauces we asked for in our faces and their attitude was off). We ordered steak and burgers and the meat was uncooked and weird. I’m not one to ever compliment British cuisine but this restaurant is an insult to even the worst of English dishes. Rude staff, bad service, can’t even find an adjetive for the food I had in this place. As Spaniard, my feelings have been hurt and I demand reparations. Nothing “tapas” about this place. Save yourself some €€ and go to McDonalds
