Café Georgette in Museumkwartier

I don't understand, the place is nice, but the service and the food, oh my god!!!! I asked for a placemat on my table outside, which was refused with disdain 😂😂 It's just paper, relax lol. Then I got a club sandwich, the worst I've ever eaten. The waitress told me everything was homemade, yeah right, the sandwich was assembled in your kitchen, great, because it was bagged chicken and fries worse than McDonald's, not to mention the hair in my plate. What a waste not to make good homemade food. In short, don't try it, my advice is...

The Eggs Benedict were perfect and very tasty. Unfortunately there was no orange juice, but the wait staff solutioned the problem with a very excellent Peach,(??), Mimosa. Definitely my breakfast/brunch Cafe for my stay here.

We waited a long time for the waiter to come and take our order. We ordered a salad with burrata. It's a tin, I've never eaten anything so tasty in my life. Just 2 chopped, not tasty tomatoes from the supermarket and a head of burrata cheese and that's it, no sauce, nothing more. Just go and don't give up. I don't recommend this cafe to anyone!!! Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo because I was shocked by such a serving of salad on a street with expensive shops.

One of my favorite places in Amsterdam to have breakfast; specially during summer because they have great air conditioning! Food was amazing and the place is very aesthetic. Convenient location next to the best shopping store. Totally recommend it!

This café has been the best one so far, in all aspects. Loved the interior, the cleanliness, the food, the staff. Daniele especially was super with us, ask for him & he deserves your generosity and kindness. It was a pleasant experience. The sevice was fast, the food was delicious, the staff was friendly & the ambience was gorgeous. Definitely recommended.

A coffee stop on the famous PC Hooftstraat.

We had lunch at George on PC Hooftstraat today, but unfortunately, it was a very bad experience. The fries were cold, the service unfriendly and slow – we asked for sparkling water three times and only received it when the food was already gone. The steak tartare wasn't available, and it took ages for the food to arrive. We also had to keep asking for drinks, even water for the dog. Furthermore, a €12 glass of wine was poured without any prior consultation. For some simple dishes – bitterballen, fries, three toasted sandwiches, and two glasses of wine – we paid over €110. Truly outrageous for what you get. In short: poor service, mediocre food, and way too expensive. We won't be back.

I tried the Caesar, it was less than average, and honestly I don't recommend it. I tried the feta and avocado sandwich, it was good. The carrot cake was delicious, but it wasn't the best at all. I don't recommend the butter at all, except for the coffee, it was good. Have a coffee and leave.

Dirty fingerprints on your plate. No way to get the attention of the staff, who were having a heated discussion about the low wages, etc. The Italian (guess) guy with tattoos really took the cake. We could hear his negative conversations throughout our entire lunch. Never again! And this from a restaurant on PC Hoofdstraat... you expect much more with those prices... it's a real shame that one staff member could ruin your entire lunch... and unfortunately, we weren't the only ones.

I smiled and asked for a table and the WAITER said you don’t know how to read!! You don’t see the sign ?? You should wait!! I mean WOWWWW what a great way to greet your customers!! NEVER AGAIN!

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service during my recent visit. The service quality was poor, and, more importantly, I witnessed a serious hygiene issue. The waiter touched a dog belonging to a lady seated next to us and then proceeded to serve food without washing his hands. This is extremely unhygienic, unacceptable, and makes me question the restaurant’s health and safety standards. I strongly do not recommend this place.

A classy and elegant breakfast place, the breakfast is delicious, salmon Benedict and club sandwiches, and the coffee is good. The food was very late, so it gave it a 4-star rating, and the view is of the Armes boutique 😆

Wunderschön zu sitzen mit Blick auf die vorbeiflanierenden Köufer der umliegenden Luxusgeschäfte. Wir hatten einen vorzüglichen Bellini aber die Speisen an den umliegenden Tischen sahen ausgesprochen lecker aus.

Estaba en la zona y después de un poco de compras decidió comer, así que este lugar parecía ideal para mí y sí, lo que pedí era bueno y disfruté de la comida, además del servicio en general todo era bueno

all of the food was amazing, we tried the scrambled eggs, american pancakes, and fries. they were all great. the only downside is the slightly slow service, but it wasnt much of a big deal.

Desayunamos aquí un par de veces durante nuestra estancia. Los huevos Benedict/Florentine/Amsterdam (con salmón ahumado) estaban muy buenos. Buen café, también sirven croissants / pasteles. También sirven almuerzos. Servicio amable. También tiene asientos exteriores (donde se puede ver a la gente empezando a hacer cola para Hermes!

We came to drink coffee and were asked whether we wanted to eat or drink coffee, we said coffee and sat at the place shown to us. Even though we reminded them twice, they never paid attention to us. When we got up and left, the woman immediately took our menus from the table and went back inside. I guess we were not served because we looked young.

Como la última vez me sentí desvestida porque la clientela es fashionista, sin embargo, a nadie le importa nuestro estilo medio occidental. Hablemos de comida. La ensalada de col rizada, aguacate con queso feta añadido era de buen tamaño y delicioso. ¡Dame la receta del aderezo! Mi acompañante tomó la ensalada Cobb. Really good food. Love the variety. Breakfast, brunch and lunch options. I had the eggs Florentine. It was very good. Decor and atmosphere, ligh, airy and modern. Service was good. Our server was friendly. Food quality was good. Also good portions. A tiny bit more expensive than a usual place but good standards were met.

Had a great experience with Georgette. I have already eaten at several George's, but the staff here were very friendly and a very pleasant manager who treats his staff well!

Stopped in for breakfast. Had the eggs benny with a chai latte. Delicious, and service was quick and straightforward. Will certainly be back. I’m convinced the bad reviews are left by entitled rich people expecting fine dining and to be worshipped.

Staff was rude. The food lacked seasoning. The coffee was not good and we asked for a new one, since They burned it. He said it was weird that we complained and almost smashed the new coffe and the table after making a new one. Didnt Even say Thanks after we payed.

We zijn er al verschillende keren geweest omdat er nou eenmaal niet veel zit in de PC gaan we dan snel even wat drinken maar het is er altijd vies. Smerige tafels, vieze vloer, trap naar de wc vol stof en viezigheid. Tafeltjes buiten zien er leuk uit maar stoelen zitten voor geen meter. Half uur op een tosti moeten wachten. Maar ach waarom zouden ze hun best doen. Toeristen trappen er toch wel in.

A pocos pasos del Rijksmuseum, este es el lugar perfecto para un almuerzo tardío. Nota: Café Georgette solo abre para el desayuno y el almuerzo. Almuerzo hasta las 5 . He estado en algunas calles comerciales de lujo en todo el mundo, pero PC Hooftstraat puede que los supere a todos y Café Georgette está en medio de todos. Esto explica que las fashionistas almuercen con vino o tomen un capuchino para llevar. A pesar del desfile de moda el personal era tan amable y eficiente. Teníamos un stand donde podíamos interactuar con el gerente que nos mantuvo sonriendo durante todo el tiempo. No hay café para nosotros, pero una excelente carta de vinos hizo que el maridaje con nuestras enormes ensaladas - Cobb y Nicoise - sea simple a precios modestos. Comer al aire libre es una opción para más gente que mira. “George” está impreso en casi todo en el café.

Beautiful little cafe on a quiet row of designer stores with amazing breakfast and service. We have come twice and both experiences were lovely.

First of all, I ordered Cobb Salad and they brought out two dispensers that appeared to be vinegar and olive oil since that is what is normally served with salad. I added it to my salad with no second thought and it tasted like artificial lemon !! Turns out one of the bottles was concentrated artificial lemon juice !! Add a more sophisticated label please !! On the other hand, my friend ordered an açai bowl and they brought out a smoothie in a bowl !! No açai flavour at all, only berries !! What a scam.

We came here for brunch. We split the Eggs Benedict and American Pancakes. The food was delicious, especially the Eggs Benedict! However, the portions of both were small for what you get for the price. This place is a little pricey.

Located in the middle of a shopping street filled with luxury boutiques, Cafe Georgette fits in perfectly, with prices that are surprisingly reasonable, especially considering the location. The decor is pleasant and is no doubt a great place for a couple to have brunch, or take a coffee break from visiting the boutiques surrounding it. I walked in to have breakfast around 11am on a Monday, and it filled up quickly at around 11.30am. Promptly seated, the service was prompt and pleasant. Ordered the Eggs Benedict and a cappuccino. The Eggs benedict was nicely done. Plating was pleasing. The hollandaise sauce was flavourful albeit a tad salty. The poached eggs was done perfectly but I wish either the hollandaise was toned down a little, or the eggs used could have been of a more flavourful variety. The ham was a bit of a let-down, too thin-cut and lacked presence. However, overall the dish is alright. The cappuccino was OK, but wish the beans had a little more oomph. Overall, I give the cafe 5 stars. If the food was improved a bit it would be great.
