The café itself was nice, but unfortunately the service was quite slow. I asked for the bill and had to wait a very long time before anyone came back to me. It was frustrating, especially since paying should be a quick and simple process. I hope they can improve the service and be more attentive to customers.

Very disappointing service for such an expensive café in a premium area. I came alone, ordered food, and went to the restroom. I even asked the waiter where it was, so he clearly knew I had not left. When I came back, my table had been completely cleared and my food was gone. Instead of simply apologizing, the staff started arguing with me and saying that I had “left.” For a place at this price level, this is extremely unprofessional. I definitely would not come back.

Georgette is without a doubt one of the finest spots in Amsterdam for breakfast or lunch. The location on P.C. Hooftstraat is beautiful and has a stylish, relaxed atmosphere where you’ll want to linger a little longer. The service is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The dishes are beautifully presented and taste excellent. The Eggs Florentine and avocado toast are highly recommended, as are the good coffee and fresh pastries. Whether you want to unwind after shopping or meet up for a leisurely, extensive brunch, Georgette knows exactly how to strike the right balance between quality, atmosphere, and service. I will be happy to return here!

A great place with delicious food; the chicken bouillon is especially good and one of the reasons I keep coming back. The service could be a little more attentive, but overall I really enjoy this restaurant chain and would happily recommend it!

Fine atmosphere, nothing special. Service was okay; the girl was there for the first time, so she still has some learning to do. But the food wasn't good. The club sandwich, the bread was dry, and the fries were soggy. They can charge whatever they want in terms of price, but I really didn't think it was worth it. A shame!

Lovely little cafe on one of the most beautiful streets of the town with designer boutiques. Outdoor terrace tables were perfect for a coffee and cocktail. Very friendly staff. It was a little hidden gem.

Honestly this must be one of the worst coffee places in amsterdam. The waiter literally served me spilled coffee, made eye contact and walked away. Then when I asked for the coffee to be replaced, he said they would do it but ended up forgetting about it then they said they cant serve coffee no more because it was the last order for coffee. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to waste their time there. On top of that, services is really slow and inattentive. Took them almost 15 mins to notice us and remove stuff from the table before

I would only recommend this place for a coffee or a drink, not for food. We stopped for lunch outside and found the table was still dirty from previous guests—even after it was "cleaned" in front of us. We waited 10 minutes for a menu, another 15 for drinks, and 20 more for our salads. While the salads were acceptable, we had to ask for salt, pepper, and olive oil, as these weren't provided by default. These are basic essentials; it’s clear the staff lacks attention to detail and experience in a restaurant setting.

I have never experienced such bad service and a business.

I just wanted to have a relaxing coffee, I have to wait for 30 minutes to get a espresso macchiato. The order came wrong and the second time it was correct but the taste of the coffee it’s not worth the waiting time.

Want to chill for a bit while your wife is shopping? Let her go and plop down here for a good cappuccino. Believe me, you won't be disappointed. Steak sandwich + burrata… truly a ridiculously good combo. Don't think twice, just order. You'll thank me later 😉

I didn’t have a good experience…….. The "Wait to be Seated" sign at the entrance felt more like a suggestion than a policy. After standing there for a significant amount of time with no greeting or acknowledgment, I eventually had to track down a waitress myself. Instead of a warm welcome, I was met with a dismissive, slightly rude attitude; not exactly the hospitality you expect when you're literally asking to give them your money. I order the Steak Frites, the meal was a major letdown: The Salad: The first bite was literal grit. The greens hadn't been washed properly, leaving a sandy texture that made it inedible. The Steak: It arrived “stone cold”. Even with a decent sear, the temperature killed any enjoyment of the cut. The Fries: These were the “only saving grace” on the plate. Hot, crispy, and seasoned well, but a plate of fries doesn't justify the price of a steak dinner. Thinking the cold steak might have been a one-off kitchen fluke, I ordered the banana bread to salvage the evening. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. Much like the steak, it was also served cold, making it feel heavy and unappetizing rather than comforting.

The place is nice on the outside, but the person in charge of the place, Daniel, treated us disgracefully. He let us wait at the entrance just because there was a sign and the waitress was busy, while the place was free and there was no problem seating us. He should learn to treat people with respect and courtesy.

I was turned away because of a food allergy and a messy kitchen. After sending two emails (to which I received no response) and a good conversation with the friendly, helpful chef, S, I felt safe going in for breakfast. I had made a reservation in advance. The chef wasn't there, tough luck. The kitchen is small. To which I replied that I had discussed everything thoroughly and that I can handle traces of allergens. "So, we don't have to be careful!" "We can just throw anything on it!" was the response. I decided to google a supermarket. Then the waitress also told me, "We have a messy kitchen." And that they couldn't serve me anything. Too bad. Everything in a distant, disinterested tone. What an indecent, unprofessional place!

I went for coffee with my aunt. We had to wait 20 minutes for two cups of coffee, which was ridiculous. Otherwise, the place looks very clean.

We came in today with my husband because we had an important occasion to celebrate. The blonde waitress looked us up and down and led us to a tiny table. We politely asked if we could sit somewhere else, explaining that we wanted lunch, not just coffee. She said those tables were "not for us," even though there was a woman with only one coffee at a table for four. When we tried to tell her that her way of interacting with people wasn't normal, she just said, "Yeah, bye." It's just a complete lack of respect for customers. How many times have we experienced this and not said anything, but this time it really went too far.

I don't understand, the place is nice, but the service and the food, oh my god!!!! I asked for a placemat on my table outside, which was refused with disdain 😂😂 It's just paper, relax lol. Then I got a club sandwich, the worst I've ever eaten. The waitress told me everything was homemade, yeah right, the sandwich was assembled in your kitchen, great, because it was bagged chicken and fries worse than McDonald's, not to mention the hair in my plate. What a waste not to make good homemade food. In short, don't try it, my advice is...

The Eggs Benedict were perfect and very tasty. Unfortunately there was no orange juice, but the wait staff solutioned the problem with a very excellent Peach,(??), Mimosa. Definitely my breakfast/brunch Cafe for my stay here.

We waited a long time for the waiter to come and take our order. We ordered a salad with burrata. It's a tin, I've never eaten anything so tasty in my life. Just 2 chopped, not tasty tomatoes from the supermarket and a head of burrata cheese and that's it, no sauce, nothing more. Just go and don't give up. I don't recommend this cafe to anyone!!! Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo because I was shocked by such a serving of salad on a street with expensive shops.

One of my favorite places in Amsterdam to have breakfast; specially during summer because they have great air conditioning! Food was amazing and the place is very aesthetic. Convenient location next to the best shopping store. Totally recommend it!

This café has been the best one so far, in all aspects. Loved the interior, the cleanliness, the food, the staff. Daniele especially was super with us, ask for him & he deserves your generosity and kindness. It was a pleasant experience. The sevice was fast, the food was delicious, the staff was friendly & the ambience was gorgeous. Definitely recommended.

A coffee stop on the famous PC Hooftstraat.

We had lunch at George on PC Hooftstraat today, but unfortunately, it was a very bad experience. The fries were cold, the service unfriendly and slow – we asked for sparkling water three times and only received it when the food was already gone. The steak tartare wasn't available, and it took ages for the food to arrive. We also had to keep asking for drinks, even water for the dog. Furthermore, a €12 glass of wine was poured without any prior consultation. For some simple dishes – bitterballen, fries, three toasted sandwiches, and two glasses of wine – we paid over €110. Truly outrageous for what you get. In short: poor service, mediocre food, and way too expensive. We won't be back.

Dirty fingerprints on your plate. No way to get the attention of the staff, who were having a heated discussion about the low wages, etc. The Italian (guess) guy with tattoos really took the cake. We could hear his negative conversations throughout our entire lunch. Never again! And this from a restaurant on PC Hoofdstraat... you expect much more with those prices... it's a real shame that one staff member could ruin your entire lunch... and unfortunately, we weren't the only ones.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service during my recent visit. The service quality was poor, and, more importantly, I witnessed a serious hygiene issue. The waiter touched a dog belonging to a lady seated next to us and then proceeded to serve food without washing his hands. This is extremely unhygienic, unacceptable, and makes me question the restaurant’s health and safety standards. I strongly do not recommend this place.

Wunderschön zu sitzen mit Blick auf die vorbeiflanierenden Köufer der umliegenden Luxusgeschäfte. Wir hatten einen vorzüglichen Bellini aber die Speisen an den umliegenden Tischen sahen ausgesprochen lecker aus.

También sirven almuerzos. Servicio amable. También tiene asientos exteriores (donde se puede ver a la gente empezando a hacer cola para Hermes!

We came to drink coffee and were asked whether we wanted to eat or drink coffee, we said coffee and sat at the place shown to us. Even though we reminded them twice, they never paid attention to us. When we got up and left, the woman immediately took our menus from the table and went back inside. I guess we were not served because we looked young.

Como la última vez me sentí desvestida porque la clientela es fashionista, sin embargo, a nadie le importa nuestro estilo medio occidental. Hablemos de comida. La ensalada de col rizada, aguacate con queso feta añadido era de buen tamaño y delicioso. ¡Dame la receta del aderezo! Mi acompañante tomó la ensalada Cobb. Our server was friendly. Food quality was good. Also good portions. A tiny bit more expensive than a usual place but good standards were met.

Had a great experience with Georgette. I have already eaten at several George's, but the staff here were very friendly and a very pleasant manager who treats his staff well!

It's a very nice cafe, with good food (we ordered poached eggs with hollandaise sauce) and an apple pie. All very delicious, with good portions. If you like to Instagram your food, this is a good place. Very attentive staff.
