Food was decent, I had the chicken waffle and my partner had the eggs Benedict, mine was lovely, her eggs were a little under done making the dish a bit soggy other than that great staff the gentleman serving us was upbeat and funny, and the coffee was lovely

We ordered juice and granola from the ‘Quick Bites’ section, expecting it to be served promptly. Unfortunately, it took nearly 30 minutes to arrive at our table, which was quite disappointing. The quality was just okay—not impressive enough to justify the long wait. For something labeled as ‘quick,’ the service definitely didn’t meet expectations.

The service, food and staff are top notch! Very sweet waitress Anneke: thank you for your warm welcome! Still glad that the wrong navigation led back to this location haha. Had a nice laugh and we will definitely be back!

During my visit to this restaurant I had a great experience despite it being very busy. Everything went smoothly and as desired, which immediately gave a good impression. It felt like the staff had everything under control, which contributed to a relaxed atmosphere even with so many guests. I started my meal with a delicious toast topped with avocado. The taste was perfectly balanced; the avocado was fresh and creamy, and the toast had just the right texture—nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. In addition to the toast, I opted for mint and ginger tea, which was absolutely delicious. The combination of the fresh mint and the subtle spiciness of the ginger made it a perfect addition to my meal. What also struck me was how clean and well cared for the restaurant was. Not only was the interior neatly tidy, but even small details, such as the cutlery, were excellently taken care of. It shined like it was new and immediately gave me a hygienic feeling. The menu, which is often a forgotten detail in other restaurants, was also spotlessly clean and clearly designed, leaving a professional impression. The staff certainly deserves a special mention. Despite the crowds, they were extremely friendly and very efficient. My order was taken quickly and served within a short time, without me feeling rushed. This shows that the team is well trained and understands the importance of customer satisfaction. All in all, this was a great experience that I can recommend to everyone. Whether you come for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, this is clearly a place where you feel welcome. The clean interior, friendly staff and quality of the food make this a top choice. Highly recommended and one that I will definitely visit more often!

The service is not great here. We were waiting 30 minutes to place our orders, another 20 minutes to receive our coffee's and it took overall an hour and a half to get our food, which was pretty average and just not worth the wait. The waitress was by herself and there was only one person on the bar so may be a staffing problem, but would not recommend this particular restaurant.

Avoid at all cost. Took about 90 minutes from the time we walked in to when we ate. The restaurant was half empty by the time we were seated, but it still took 45 minutes before anyone took our order (after we had to walk to the bar and ask for them to take our order). It took the kitchen another half hour to prepare the food, and we again had to go up to the bar to ask them to bring our food. The food itself was terribly bland. I ordered the London Breakfast, and not only were the portions small, but the ingredients were very obviously not fresh, the eggs were overcooked, and the toast was stale. Even my coffee tasted watered down. Don't go here, it's horrible.

My friend and I waited about 15 minutes to get seated and another 30+ to get our order taken. We had to go to the counter to get our order taken because it appeared we had been forgotten. The food was as ordinary as you can get. The portion size was small. We both got wraps from Albert Heijn afterwards because we were still hungry

Muy mala comida. Los huevos benedictos eran básicamente huevos duros con un sabor muy muy agrio insoportable (muy probablemente por el uso extensivo de vinagre en el agua). El bollo debajo de los huevos estaba muy duro, no fresco en absoluto. Las tortitas de suero eran duras como el plástico. Pero lo peor fue la granola, no esperaba que en realidad se puede servir una granola tan mala, probablemente pasó un par de años en el estante. Se sentía como masticar heno, probamos una cuchara cada uno y todos eran de la misma opinión. No pudimos continuar con este plato más, igual que con otros platos. No entiendo lo que pasó con este lugar, solía visitarlo hace 2 - 3 años y la calidad era mucho mejor. Por supuesto que nunca volveré a visitar.

- When you enter the restaurant, you need to go find a waiter for a table and to order or you will wait forever - the food looks nice but lack of seasoning - we order egg benedicte and it was boiled egg, when we asked for another one, we waited 20 minutes to get it back because the waiter forgot Check the other low comments and not the first good ones, I hope the other plates are good and you will not wait too long. Improve the service and the attention to the client and I am sure it can be a good place :)

Our water was brought incorrectly, then we had to wait a very long time for the food, only for an order to come from both of them and we were told the other order would be another 15 minutes. So everyone eats individually and you start the day in a really bad mood after breakfast!

This is about the breakfast club on Wibautstraat. The service (the younger girls) are knowledgeable and friendly and the food is delicious. We opted for 1 star, only because the woman in charge with short dark curly hair is extremely rude to her staff. There is a very unpleasant and unsafe working atmosphere. We hear her snap at the waiter, for example when a female server had to go to the toilet: “You can also wash your hands behind the bar” in a very angry tone, when the girl had to pee. We waited 50 minutes to get the eggs Benedict that we ate in 5 minutes. The portions were embarrassingly small. We waited extremely long and left hungry anyway.

Mediocre food and from what I can read in the other reviews it's either a hit or miss (in my case rather a miss). Service was friendly but slow.

We are 3 people, we order 3 cappuccino and 3 english breakfast. We wait more than 1 hour (the place was not crowded at all) to finally see the waiter coming and tell us that they only had 2 sausages so one of us coudn’t have it. He said he would put burger meat instead of that. We wait other 20 minutes and the english breakfast arrives. They put less than half burger (2 bites) as substitute of the sausage. The portions were ridicoulously small and after we start eating we realise there wasn’t bacon in the english breakfast, even if in the menu was included. We ask the waitress, she asks the kitchen and they say that “they forgot”. We finish to eat and pay, they didn’t give us not even 1€ of discount. When I asked if they thought it was appropriate not to give us at least a discount for everything happened they said that indeed it was appropriate to give us a discount….. but they didn’t anyway :). Of course we will never come back (also because the food was cold, small portions and low quality).

Esperamos más de 1 hora (el lugar no estaba lleno de gente) para finalmente ver venir al camarero y decirnos que solo tenían 2 embutidos por lo que uno de nosotros no podía tenerlo. Dijo que pondría carne de hamburguesa en lugar de eso. Esperamos otros 20 minutos y llega el desayuno inglés. Ponen menos de media hamburguesa (2 bocados) como sustituto de la salchicha. Las porciones eran ridículamente pequeñas y después de empezar a comer nos damos cuenta de que no había tocino en el desayuno inglés, incluso si en el menú estaba incluido. Preguntamos a la camarera, ella pregunta a la cocina y dicen que “lo olvidaron”. Terminamos de comer y pagar, no nos dieron ni 1€ de descuento. Cuando les pregunté si creían que era apropiado no darnos al menos un descuento por todo lo ocurrido dijeron que efectivamente era apropiado darnos un descuento... .. pero de todos modos no lo hicieron : ) . Por supuesto que nunca volveremos (también porque la comida estaba fría, porciones pequeñas y de baja calidad).

We were two people dining here. The service takes ages to get the food. People who came after us got their food earlier than us. I never knew it takes 40 minutes to cook some eggs and mushrooms. And you don’t want microwaved bread slices for your breakfast. After we had lost our appetite due to the long wait, the food turned out to be quite average. Some supermarkets and small cafés in the area have better quality and taste at a much reasonable price. Avoid this place if you’re coming to Amsterdam Oost for any reason.

Sometimes I had breakfast (with drinks) here after the night shift. Always great service and very tasty food. Recently in the area with the family and thought we would have lunch here. As always, warmly received by Anneke (who was shocked that I came by in the afternoon and doubted whether it was not morning!) Another delicious meal, but it was a pity that the vegan banana pancakes with coconut had run out, they are really delicious and certainly highly recommended. Also a very rich meal. I will definitely come here again. And so does the family, because they also want to experience what the banana pancakes taste like! Goodbye

Recently went for breakfast with my girlfriend and was very poorly received by the lady with short black hair and glasses When we entered we were immediately rejected because we wanted to order at the bar, then she sent us to the table and said "if you are in such a hurry you can order via the QR code" the lady sounded very blunt When her colleague wanted to help us order (younger girl) she called her to the bar and spoke very loudly to her in the middle of the place in an angry tone that she should not serve us and then the girl only came later after she had some she had other chores to do Well in the end we were able to order partly online and partly through a colleague the food was good only the coffee (where the lady from the bar with short hair and glasses stood) was absolutely undrinkable we ordered 2 cappuchinos with hardly a drop of coffee in it So there was almost only milk. Afterwards we had to buy an extra espresso which she later came to pour for us with a very stupid comment that immediately made us feel guilty that we had asked for an extra shot. I have been here before, the food is always delicious, the coffee too, but this time the atmosphere was very bad and other customers who just came in were immediately helped by this lady even though they had not even looked at the menu yet, so it felt very personal. and I also think it has to do with our ethnicity because most customers are mainly white and we are not

The food was fantastic! Right at the train station and still a really nice atmosphere. The prices are also completely reasonable and, in my opinion, relatively cheap for such delicious dishes. Highly recommended!

We had to wait a very long time until someone reluctantly came to take our order. Then our order was not ready after 30 minutes. We ended up leaving without breakfast. There are clearly too few staff, too few in the kitchen and too few in the service. There is too much on the menu and everything takes too long.

Fui aquí un domingo soleado por la mañana y me senté afuera. Nadie nos atendió durante 20 minutos, así que pedimos usando la aplicación. Las bebidas llegaron rápido, pero se olvidaron de la galleta de café y dijeron que lo traerían - nunca llegó. Luego vino la comida. Se suponía que mi desayuno mexicano tenía cheddar pero casi no había nada. También se suponía que había pico de gallo y tomates. No pude encontrar el PdG, pero el personal dijo que los tomates ERAN el PdG, entonces, ¿dónde estaban los tomates? Envié la comida de vuelta y compré otro plato con TONELADAS de queso (demasiado naranja para ser cheddar! ) pero el servicio de frijoles negros ahora era casi nada. El mayor problema, sin embargo, era el equilibrio general de la comida. El tomate PdG era casi amargo, ácido y no combinaba bien con el resto del plato. Los frijoles eran insípidos y la enorme cucharada de nata desechó todo el plato. El servicio era adecuado, aparte de un camarero que realmente demostró que le importaba, pero el daño estaba hecho para entonces. ¡Nunca volvamos!

This was such a cute little place! I’d love to return here if I go back to Amsterdam. The food was excellent, and the service was really kind and patient. Wide variety of options, and kid-friendly too. Despite being local to Amsterdam, they serve almost like an international menu, with dishes from different regions of the world. Server was really patient as we butchered our Dutch.

Made a quick stop here for breakfast and a coffee on our first full day in Amsterdam. It was wonderful, as we were able to get the window seat. It was fun watching everyone make their morning commute to work and wish we could have had time to go back again!

Very good breakfast, we had yogurt with muesli and fruit, pancakes, eggs, and a dish with egg and sausage etc... Was super good. Small point: we waited more than 30 minutes between ordering and the arrival of the dishes. You can only take one dish each because it is a good quantity.

Four of us ate here on a Sunday. We didn't have a reservation but still got a table. We were warmly welcomed by the waitress & when we ordered the food, she informed us that we would have to wait a little longer than usual for the food because the place was full - we were in no rush at all & found it very nice, that we were informed about this directly. It didn't take longer than 20-30 minutes and we passed the time with the delicious coffee. Everything was perfect & the food (especially this Mexican dish - OMG 🤤🫠!!) was so delicious. Clear recommendation!

Very bad experience. We went with my parents for breakfast and they only brought us coffee. We waited 30 minutes for the sandwiches but they didn't arrive. Finally, we decided to leave and when we went to pay for what we had had (3 coffees) the owner came to charge us (with a very bad character). He told us that the till wasn't working... We waited another 10 minutes in front of the bar and in the end we paid €34 for three coffees. He told us that the machine was not working and he could not give us a ticket for what we were paying…

Great place for breakfast and brunch but the service is really lousy... I waited 50 minutes for scrambled eggs which weren't even that good... Anyway, move on, there's nothing to see!

Was there 3 times around lunchtime, around 11 a.m. and twice they had already run out of croissants. A little special for a breakfast club and a blueberry muffin is not an alternative. Otherwise the food was good, nothing special.

Our experience was ok. Cheesecake was bad. The frozen crust which was not possible to cut with a spoon so we had to use a knife. And the cheese filling was runny like yoghurt. So it was not a cake at all. Orange juice which was indeed probably freshly squeezed but didn’t have much taste. Pancakes were delicious. The scrambled eggs were good but the bread was not toasted so it was too soft and got soaked. Portions are huge so i recommend to share. We didn’t finish our dishes. Service was subpar. Water has never been brought. Orders confused. Dirty cutlery.

There was a spider in my glass. Probably from the mint that they don't wash, really nasty! After this I no longer feel like eating here. No hygiene!! Food was not tasty. Price-quality ratio zero! The tastiest tuna melt sandwich we came for was taken off the menu. Never, ever again for me.

Worst service I've ever experienced in Amsterdam. No one came to the table after sitting for 10 minutes. Ordered via the QR code. One of us got our food 15 minutes later than everyone else (except for the drink, which was served with everyone else...?), and only some plates were served with cutlery. Not at all worth it for the price. Don't recommend and won't be returning again anytime soon.

It’s nice! As an omnivore i found the pancakes a little too sweet, but still filling and enjoyable. Now for my vegan friend… even in Amsterdam it’s hard finding good vegan breakfast options, so he absolutely adored the vegan chocolate coconut pancakes. Great & amazing if you’re vegan! Not worth it if it’s just a party of omnivores

Bang average. Would have got three stars if the chorizo was better. Ordered the Mexican breakfast with the added chorizo, instead of the lovely hot thick sausage like fried chorizo I got the wafer thin cold pre packaged supermarket sliced chorizo. Still all stuck together straight from the packet. If you get a chance go to the breakfast club in London and order the equivalent breakfast. Much better.

Nice food for breakfast. We had the London and also French Toast. We also enjoyed freshly squeezed orange juice. It was a good experience.

I went here during a sunny but cold day. It's a little bit on the expensive side but not out of the ordinary for Amsterdam— and so worth it! I especially liked the New York breakfast. The atmosphere is cozy, which I like in these places. I do admit that I prefer service by waiters instead of having to order and pay directly from a QR code. But I suppose it saves them time and effort and is better for the planet. Would recommend in any case!

As Burgundians, we decided to visit the Breafast club on the Wibautsraat. We didn't get what we ordered; it said we were getting a Brioche bun, but we got a dry bun instead. She delivered wrong orders. We specifically asked for a burger without tomato and without ketchup due to... allergy. Yet the waitress walks over with a burger with tomato ketchup. None of the burgers had cheese, even though they were supposed to. When we told them that the orders were incorrect, the waitress' face grimaced. Her face looked like thunder, but I think she thought she looked neutral. But it was visible to us. I had chicken and waffles; the waffles were way to sweet, slightly burnt and you could taste it. Our son waited for a burger for more than an hour, even though everyone had already eaten. When he finally got it, it had cheese on it, but no egg. I should nicely mention that they came up with compensation by not stocking the drinks. We got that from the house. We thought that was appropriate, but I still think it appropriate to share my experience. We give the atmosphere a passing grade. The barmaid was really sweet, spoke to the server and tried to make us feel at ease. Finally, all citizens were removed from the ticket. Certainly fair and right. Thanks for compensating.

I should have listened to the reviews and stayed away. Horrible service that was condescending and rude. The eggs benedict tasted like they were hard boiled. Instead of a runny centre I was presented with a hard, cold and brittle yolk. I heard the staff make fun of us and other tables while on their way to the kitchen. We had to ask the waiter (also the owner) 3 times for her to take our order.

Staff is very sweet and friendly. The vibes here is quite nice. Americano Coffee is quite ok! But it’s a pity I think the scrambled eggs are quite flat and not really something I want to order again.

The food was not bad, but the service was horrible. The lady ignored our request to change our table three times and told the other waiter that she doesn't have time for that, as if she is giving the food for free. We were ready to order and she asked us to use the app that doesn't work and took the order of the table that was next to us. After 15 min passed she came to take the order. Very rude lady indeed. There are many well serviced restaurants in Amsterdam, don't make our mistake. The atmosphere was very bad as our table was next to the kitchen noise and constant whistling.

Centrally located breakfast restaurant with a modern, straightforward ambience, but not particularly inviting to linger. The service is okay and quick. But you don't have the feeling that you like being served. The selection of dishes is large. Everyone will definitely find something for themselves here. The dishes are also very tasty. Unfortunately, most of it was only lukewarm.

There are a lot of options. I probably did not pick properly. The gluten free bread is not it. I would not recommend the scrambled eggs either

It’s good if you want a basic breakfast. Little to no customization of the set menu, the only way to add a side is to order a whole other dish which costs €5-€9 extra. Also the servers weren’t friendly and looked miserable to be there. Out of 10 I give it a 6, if you like chicken and waffles a certain way don’t get them here, they try to make them fancy.
