Worst Matcha Latte I've had in my life

We had a lovely breakfast at Corner Bakery, they have nice selection of halal items and bread is so good. Unfortunately didn’t get a chance to take a picture of our breakfast as we ate it 😁 Friendly and helpful staff, highly recommended.

The server there is soo rude went it to look to buy a cake and she straight said we are closed 20 minutes before closing time

Went without reservation, as a walk-in, which I learned, is not something to do in the Netherlands if you can help it. Food was good though for the content, which was mostly (exception of egg dishes etc) mixture of ingredients you could find in a supermarket with minimal preparation, I found it expensive. Granola dish with honey on the slde was served with honey in a paper container placed on the yogurt for example. My expectation at such a place would be for it to be placed in a proper small porcelain container and placed not on the food but next to it. We were seated downstairs which we accepted in advance, because upstairs was full (reservations I presume since there were vacant tables) with no windows. So the experience boiled down to the food and service only, which was so so for food and good for service.

I went to Corner Bakery on the recommendation of a friend. I was greeted quickly and seated in the downstairs room. The decoration pleasantly surprised me, and the menu is very diverse. My latte was served very quickly and was beautifully presented. My friend, who arrived a little later, asked for a takeaway coffee. Although the establishment does not normally offer this service, they made an exception, and the coffee was excellent. The boss was present and was versatile, warm and a good advisor. We spoke with him for a few minutes, which added a personal touch to our experience. In summary, a very good place to have brunch or simply enjoy a good coffee. I highly recommend!

Very nice place, excellent for breakfast or lunch, the dishes are really excellent, wide choice of sweet and savory dishes, the only flaw is not enough places to sit inside. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommended I would go back.

6 years ago I went here with my mother for your amazing freakshake. I was very satisfied with the service at the time, so I decided to come back again this weekend with my friend. We were very surprised by the service/food. First of all, we were immediately sent outside upon arrival because a man who worked here made us wait. We both had an unpleasant experience with this employee. He talked very loudly, impersonally, hurriedly and was only concerned with when the tables would become available. We thought it was special that our operator was also wearing sweatpants. We were also not happy with the food. We had a huge stomach ache after this. All in all, no service at all for a 40.00 euro lunch.

Before my visit to the museum, I came to this café to have breakfast - and it was worth it! The café is nicely decorated and exudes a cozy atmosphere. The croissants are simply amazing: fresh, buttery and crispy. The service was also very courteous and friendly. An all-round successful start to the day – I’ll be happy to come back!

Good food and good coffee, the service is very good and the place very nice

We needed to get the receipt for the purchase and they assured we would get it by email later that day. It never arrived.

Love their Apple Pie. We liked it way better than the “most famous one in Amsterdam” , better yet minus off the long waiting time at the famous one.

Small but well-kept place, you order via an app where there are many options for both sweet and savory breakfasts and brunches. Really delicious food!

Very nice place with outrageous milkshakes and great pancakes

Not sure why people recommend this place. It was our 4th day in Netherlands and we have never failed any brunch or coffee until we visit this place. First of all, the service was 'awkward'. I would not put a word 'rude' here, but certainly weird and somewhat unpleasant. They seemed extremely kind but at the same time very passive aggressive. All the menus were online and they reject any offline orders without providing any paper menus. You will have to be in basement if you dont book (again I have no idea why all those papers were booked), but the atmosphere was too small and not nice enough compared to others. I at least expected something special in food and drinks. However, they were certainly below average! Just normal bread, croassaint and normal eggs - which they called as 'hang over breakfast' and took 20 euros from my pocket. The worst part was coffee. I have a fair bit of experience in coffee/barista, and could tell immediately their management on coffee machine was unhygienic and poor. Could taste lots of 'burnt smell' surely not from beans but the machine. Ice coffee was just not-cold coffee without ice. I always thought dutch cafe provide decent coffee and brunch. I came from the UK and loved every parts of Dutch cafe. However, NOT this place. I am sure there are tons of better cafes around this area. Not here.

The products are great. I only regret that the establishment chose to take our order via the internet, this greatly reduces the interaction with the staff even if they are very pleasant.

Nice breakfast shop with friendly waiters. The sizes of the dishes could be described better in the menu, as my friend was a bit disappointed with his Mini Crossoint. Otherwise great.

We had brunch there, the food was great and it’s in a quiet neighborhood, enjoyable vive. The points down are for the ordering, I have to scan the QR code, fill in my name, phone number and email for ordering, this is so unnecessary for a restaurant, will we need to show our IDs in order to eat out in the future? At least offer an alternative for customers to order with the waiter directly.

Negative experience. I had to order exclusively via an app where everything is in Dutch and I had to leave personal details... really senseless. Another couple also entered after me and had to leave because they couldn't scan the QR. But what about physical menus? The cappuccino was good, but I found everything too expensive for what I consumed. Ah, €1 more for plant-based milk in 2024, no come on... And the icing on the cake, they offered to give me a doggie bag to take away what I hadn't consumed, but they made me do everything alone. The excuse was that they aren't allowed to do it... Never heard of it.

They are very slow, it is not normal to wait 45 minutes for toast with avocado and cheese.

We arrived at the restaurant and they moved us to the ground floor. You order the letter and the command through an app and pay instantly. It took 20 minutes to serve us drinks and 45 minutes to serve us food. We had to take the cutlery ourselves. Although the food was good, I don't recommend the place.

I was recommended this place on tiktok as one of the cool spots for breakfast. in the end, you can only place an order through the website. when I tried to pay, the website gave an error bc of apple pay. the person at the register said that we can wait 2-3 min and the system might start working. we just left hungry bc can’t wait for so long. fix your broken system pls. upd. literally ONE day after I entered my phone number and email into their system, I started receiving spam. ✨ thank u ✨

I was here on a Sunday, even though there was space outside that wasn't reserved for two hours, we were asked inside. The café itself is very pretty, has a selection of simple dishes and is very hip. The food was moderately good, the table next to the coffee machine was very, very loud, the supposedly fresh orange juice seemed to come from a tetrapak and I waited almost 50 minutes for breakfast. It's ok, but wouldn't come again.

An okayish place. It has some gluten free and vegan options. We ordered the vegan pancakes and the gluten free cheesecake. Both were mediocre. The drinks were nice (iced matcha and soy chocolate).

Vi var här två dagar på raken och båda gångerna valde jag deras "Avocado smash naturel" som jag tycker var fantastiskt god. Trevlig personal. Det enda negativa enligt mig är att man beställer mat och dryck via QR-kod - krångligt och opersonligt.

Vale la pena buscar para evitar las multitudes y las trampas turísticas. Un gran lugar cerca del Rijksmuseum. Cerca, pero lejos del ajetreo en una calle tranquila detrás del museo. Pedimos café, batidos y un rollo de aguacate. El rollo estaba generosamente empacado, no se requieren frituras para acompañar esta comida. Los batidos aunque no eran baratos eran impresionantes y casi una comida en sí mismos. Perfecto para los más pequeños. Sin embargo, no es un fanático de los pedidos de aplicaciones que tiene que hacer, el personal era amable y atento con cualquier consulta.

Not the best food, pretty pricy

All ordering is done through an app. I know many places did this during COVID but the pandemic has been over for a while now. I don’t understand why you have to do this when you have multiple staff people standing behind the counter who can easily take an order, but instead watch you order through the app.

No cash! Card only. They have Vegan options 👍🏼 You have to order on the phone which is somewhat annoying. Ambiance is nice. Staff is friendly. Prices are on the expensive side.

We came to the embassy, ​​we didn't have breakfast, this place is very close to the embassy and it has a very nice breakfast, all kinds of breakfast are available. I liked it very much that the products say 100% halal, which is a nice detail. Some of the products include Ham, but I think it's a nice detail and not being able to come here and find Turkish brewed tea is another detail. But I think it's a nice place. I only gave 4 stars for the service because I don't like ordering with a QR code from the table. The old style ordering is better. You don't have to deal with anyone like that. I don't like this aspect.

Very mediocre lunch: omelette was tasteless, toast was very dry and Earl Gray tea (€ 3.75) was also very mediocre, AH house brand is better. For tourists?

Food was amazing. I tried their spicy chicken wrap and coffee. Outdoor seating has a great vibe and it’s located right next to our hotel so definitely try to hit this spot

3 star for service is due to online covid style order, it's just lazy and annoying to have to go through an online checkout, from an app that asks your personal and payment info each time you want a drink. Food is average at best, and on the slight expensive side

If you are inn for å sweet breakfast/lunsj this is the place. Got the pancakes l, couldn't even finish them. The strawberries were so good and fresh.

Good food, clean and welcoming place, efficient and smiling staff

We went for breakfast this morning and loved that there were options for everyone in my family. The breakfast options are very varied and everything was delicious. The service is fast and everyone is very friendly.

Cute little café with delicious, healthy dishes. It's better to make a reservation on the weekend if you don't want to rely on luck and the compassion of the friendly service. ^^

Cute little coffee. Orders work via app or online. But ordering breakfast took 45 minutes. You always have to order coffee separately. For a good breakfast you have to dig deep into your pockets. 💵

I thought the food was mediocre for the price you paid. 2 euros extra for mashed avocado which I don't think was fresh. Also an extra euro for alternative milk. It was 5 euros for a small cappuccino. Atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly.

I came back after 3 years to find the same delicious food with even more variety. Best brunch place ever. Promise to visit more often!

Nice fresh pancakes, each portion comes with x4 thick type pancakes. Coffee is very nice, including red velvet latte. The only way to order is via your phone via qr code on the table, it's card payment only. Thought the bill was pricey for pancakes for x2 people and x2 coffees, coming in at 40.25 euro (£35).

A very nice cozy place where you can sit and eat for breakfast, brunch or lunch. It can fill up quickly, so we made reservations just in case. I have a cup of hot soy chocolate milk, cold matcha latte with oat milk, a sandwich with spicy chicken. Also tried the healthy pancake. It was delicious with toasted grains drizzled with acorn syrup and some pieces of fruit and not too sweet.

Impersonal because you had to order and pay via QR. When it turned out that the cake I had already paid for was not there, I got a cheaper cake. They did not come to settle this themselves. They actually didn't really understand what I meant. Finally got some change back from the tip jar.

Patio and reservation indoor seating.

The pancakes were nice but dry. Only issue is the place; the seats and floor were dirty and the downstairs area was cramped! The table also was small, you don’t have enough room to move.

The breakfast was very tasty. We had bread roll with avocado and croque madame.

The food’s overpriced. We got our cafes 20 minutes before breakfast meals so drinks were already cold when meals came. Also we had to order and pay via qr-code which wasn’t very handy. Service wasn’t great either.

What a fantastic place! Everything is perfect here, the delicious food, the atmosphere but especially the extremely friendly staff. Exceptionally nice and especially pleasant Amsterdammer at the service, he really made our day. Big fan of French toast; I have never eaten this so well (and I have ordered quite a few...). My son and I left with big smiles!

Stopped by for a breakfast. The prices are a little on the higher end, however it is worth it! The portions were huge and VERY tasty, and the staff is great aswell as the colorful athmosphere. This was definitely a good choice of place for our breakfast! Don't have anything I can diss here.

Good breakfast and friendly service

It is a beautiful restaurant where we went to have breakfast a couple of times. We always found it so full that on both occasions we had to do it in the basement. The only difficulty we had was going down and up the small stairs that lead to the basement.

Unfortunately it was already “closed” at 3 p.m. so you couldn’t order anything anymore. It's a shame when, according to the opening times, you're actually open until 4 p.m....

Scramble eggs with bacon were very average. Seating downstairs was very cold and not cosy at all. Upstairs limited space. Priced above average a little. Would be good if offered a little butter for the bread.

Really great place to stop for breakfast if you are nearby! It was a nice day, so we sat outside. All ordering is done through QR codes but just as we started to order a waitress from inside came out to greet us and was very pleasant. I ordered the hangover breakfast, not that I had a hangover, but it looked like a tasty selection of items. It didn’t take long to come out, and was super delicious. Would highly recommend a visit!

Apart from too expensive for what it offers. I ordered a cappuccino which arrived about 20 minutes before my croissant and toast. When my order arrived, they separately took it to another table despite my discreet gestures to say it was probably mine. Obviously once the waiter realized he served it to my table as if everything was normal. I basically had a cold breakfast, in a cold place, waiting too long, in the cold.

The atmosphere is very cozy and cozy, the interior looks nice and the tables are cozy. The service is good, the way you can order yourself via a QR on the tables is very convenient. The staff is also nice. However, despite the relatively high price, the food is quite disappointing. We ordered a salmon sandwich but it was not very tasty. The luxury sandwiches were all around 14 euros, but we thought they were very simple/not exciting enough for that money. We also ordered a sandwich and it was very good and not too expensive. Furthermore, the desserts are all a bit dry.

Great menu and lovely fresh food

Cute place and nice ladies running the place but the red velvet pancaje are dry and inedible. The cook has no clue what American pancakes are like. Just make them with chocolate chips and a little red food colouring if you want something fancy looking. These are doorstops material, disappointing french toast too and the coffee wasn't good, overal not recommended.

The food was tasty but oh my god those pancakes were so delicious!! So pay attention if you are not a big eater but it is very tasty!! Matcha latte could be a little sweeter because it honestly tasted like grass water..

A cafe that opens in the morning near Museum Square. It's in a good location, so the prices aren't cheap, but the food is plentiful and delicious. Reservations are recommended for lunch time. Seating time ranges from 1 hour (when crowded) to 1.5 hours. Ordering is very simple, just scan the QR code and pay online. (Please note that various cards can be used, but cash is not accepted) Free WiFi available. The staff are friendly and the food is served quickly. American pancakes are on the menu, which is rare in the Netherlands. The four-layered dish was so filling that the kids couldn't finish it all. The Eck Benedict and avocado open sandwiches are also very filling, so if you have small children, I think it would be enough to share. The cafe latte was a normal size even though it was L size.

The place is too small and narrow, leas than 10 tables . Food quality was okay, they were very nice to accommodate our needs. Service was fast. But we had to wait for a table. Make sure to make a reservation before you come.

I have never been turned away at the door so much that we have to order outside and it is only for reservations inside, there was plenty of room. The man(owner)? Was very unfriendly, never rejected at the door so much that we had to sit outside (-5) outside without the patio heating being on.
