We reserved a table online beforehand, just to be safe. A small, very cozy café with super friendly staff, and the food was really great. We didn't have to wait long at all. Highly recommended!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! After paying upfront, we waited over 30 minutes for our food. When we asked to have it packed to-go, since we had to make our Van Gogh museum slot, the kitchen staff with glasses shouted at us. Completely uncalled for. We left without our food or a refund. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially because of the owner, who is truly rude and arrogant. I went into this bar for a coffee and to use the restroom. As soon as I entered, the owner came in shouting in front of everyone, asking me where I was going and that the restroom was for customers only. I replied that I knew I was going for a coffee. But honestly, I find this behavior very rude and not at all polite. He also made fun of me in front of all the customers, simply because I was going to the restroom before ordering. These days, that seems really silly to me, and for that reason alone, I would never, ever spend money in a place owned by someone like that. I still got a coffee, which he charged me four euros. Thank you, very kind of you.

Order via QR code. Mediocre taste. And quite expensive. I wouldn't go here for breakfast again. The acai bowl is brown and tastes predominantly of banana.

The online menu included a special tab with vegan dishes, but all of them contained eggs and milk as allergens, except for the acai bowl. When we asked the staff, they didn't know what vegan was and kept insisting on the "gluten-free" symbol. We left.

An incredible experience! Be sure to order the shredded beef sandwich — it’s a masterpiece, rich in flavor and unlike anything else. Don’t miss the warm banana pie, and remember to ask for whipped cream on every dessert. The bakery itself is cozy, welcoming, and filled with the aroma of freshly baked goods. The apple pie was great. The pancakes had the aftertaste of soap detergent. But the restaurant was loud, disorganized, the staff kept banging silverware Soo loudly, and lots of people kept walking around tables and disturbing the dining experience.

It was our first stop for a quick lunch in Amsterdam and we really enjoyed Corner Bakery. Food, Service and atmosphere were on point. It is a small cafe and it is quite tight between the tables. Other than that everything was good 😊

Beautiful establishment, well located not far from Museum Square and halfway to the Albert Cuyp Market. The staff is very warm and attentive. The owner is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. We had brunch, having made sure to make an online reservation. The products were fresh, the dishes beautifully presented, and the quality was there. All the meats are halal. Corne Bakery is a place not to be missed if you're visiting Amsterdam!

We come here every year to celebrate the start of summer vacation. We love coming here; the food and drinks are always delicious. Unfortunately, this time was very disappointing. Ordering is done through an app that unfortunately didn't work for us; the waiter reluctantly took over. The milkshakes we ordered didn't match the picture in the ordering app at all. The sprinkles, bacon bits, and fruit loops have been replaced by "syrup." It's a real shame, as the kids come especially for the milkshakes. The freak shakes with donuts have unfortunately disappeared from the menu entirely. The food we ordered was delicious, but it took a very long time—40 minutes for a tuna melt and goat cheese salad. The photo is from the ordering app, and the other is from the milkshake we received (after a sip!).

Good place for breakfast - close to the museum district. Breakfast can be ordered on site by scanning the menu from the QR code, then everything is quickly brought to the table by the waiter. I ate delicious oatmeal and drank super tasty coffee. Large portion.

When we arrived, it seemed like we weren't welcome. We were standing at the entrance waiting, and a girl who worked there walked outside and then came back in. She didn't even greet us or ask if we wanted a table. She obviously saw us because she walked right past us. Then we walked in and there were three girls behind the bar who exchanged glances with us but carried on without saying anything. When we finally got served, to order you have to do it through their website (you definitely have to enter your phone number and email, I don't know why, to be honest), it took 25 minutes for our breakfast to arrive. Although the food was good, the service was unpleasant. The only ones who were somewhat friendly were the youngest girl and the gentleman.

Very good place for breakfast. Portions are quite large and at good prices. Friendly service and fairly quick order fulfillment. Ordering via the Botlaroo app, you can only pay by card.

We arrived a couple minutes before 4pm just for the staff to say that today they decided to close earlier and not 5pm as described.

Staff wanted to close 2 hours earlier and told us to leave while they where supposed to be open till 5

We came to Corner Bakery, very famous for its breakfasts… and we understand why! We ordered two portions of pancakes, two milkshakes and a toast with cheese and salad. What can I say: delicious is not enough. It's all spectacular! The pancakes are gigantic, very soft and full of flavor. I really recommend you take just one portion between two, because they are huge and super filling. Same goes for the milkshakes: creamy, rich, finger-licking good. The toast? Very fresh, with quality ingredients and perfectly balanced in flavors. Only note: the prices are a bit high, but honestly justified by the abundant quantity and exceptional quality of everything we tried. Corner Bakery is a lovely cafe for breakfast or lunch. The coffee is perfectly prepared and they have delicious sandwich options. Try their spicy mayo! The service was excellent! They were out of space upstairs, sent us downstairs , but quickly brought us back up as an opening developed. They could have left us alone, but they were thoughtful and gave us the better table. Nice people and good food!

We ordered red velvet pancake and American pancake with chocolate. It was not really indicated what was included and the pancake was burnt (placed with the bottom on the plate). A male employee (presumably the owner) was very loud and pushy, so the quiet atmosphere quickly disappeared as soon as he walked in, everything revolved around getting tables available...

a lot choices of bread roll, veggies are fresh and is light spicy for chicken spicy. the donut dough is very soft and fluffy. also has a good ambience, it's a great place for brunch💖

We had brunch and it is really recommended! It's a small cozy cafe and the staff are very friendly. It was great that there were pictures with the menu! The price-performance ratio is great. The food and shakes came quickly and were delicious!! Would come again at any time :)

Tourist trap. Unfriendly man in front of the door checking how much you are going to spend before you can enter. Just a coffee is not allowed 😂. Overpriced non tasty food, you have to order via a non working QR code and leave your personal details before you can order. The freak shake is probably unique so I you are into a very sweet milkshake with candy I would go, otherwise please avoid. I live around the corner, Amsterdam has so much more to offer than these TikTok traps.

Went to this place this morning at Amsterdam Oud-Zuid,the food was delicious and the drinks were good. But what ruined this expierence for me was the old gentleman sitting outside with 2dogs as I walked in the dog got a aggressive and tried to bite me,I moved accordingly,then this dude is gonna make a joke about don't worry he doesn't bite or do you have drugs on you,I was shocked and then he told me to come in and that he was the owner,no apology nothing just kept explaining that his dog was just scared of me and for me to come in,have a seat. If he is truly the owner then his service and jokes are terrible and rude. I like this place,but I don't think I'll be back.

This place is made for tourists. Not personal at all with having to oder food online and paying inside at the counter. It doesn’t make sense. Everything is below average but it’s a nice part of town.

We come here often and the food is always delicious. Today my daughter accidentally made a mistake while ordering and placed the wrong order. We asked if this could be adjusted, but that was no longer allowed. I think it's a shame about the service, no understanding for the customer and too commercially oriented. Instead of using a QR code, I could have been prevented with a standard menu card. We won't be back.

The food was delicious, but the wait staff preferred to be in the gym rather than working. No smile just an assembly line face. That's a shame because we had brunch there with 6 of us.

Very disappointing experience at Corner Bakery Amsterdam. I bought a voucher at Tripper and made a reservation online to try their freaky crumble and tea/coffee. Upon arriving, here’s what happened 1. Staff said that there was no reservation under my name (despite showing the confirmation and reminder of reservation emails). She let me in anyway as there was space available. 2. I went to ask what coffee/tea was part of the deal and was informed that any of them was included. 3. When it was time to leave, more problems ensued as the staff was unsure how to settle the payment with voucher. After 10-15 minutes of explaining back and forth, phone calls and sending screenshots of confirmation etc to their boss and still they couldn’t decide if the deal was valid (because it wasn’t on their systems), I was asked to pay “just for the drink”. I questioned the staff member why I would need to pay extra when I already bought and paid for the deal that stated it includes cake and tea/coffee. After being treated like a criminal, I was finally told “it’s ok” and I could leave. It’s very humiliating being treated like this and I cannot recommend this place.

We had a lovely breakfast at Corner Bakery. The Salmon role was incredibly tasty and fresh and the Acai bowl beautifully refreshing. Definitely a good breakfast spot to try!

Scam. Not being able to order and pay straight to the cashier. having to put your email and phone number to order? So they sell your data later and you get spam? No thanks. And most probably illegal, we will do some research on this matter... Plus expensive and poor quality. Not worth a cent!

Had breakfast in this attractive restaurant. Ordering is done, somewhat less personally, via a QR code. It will undoubtedly also be possible in the normal way, but we were encouraged to do it this way. The food was very tasty, served quickly and the staff was friendly. The prices are, if you ask me, Amsterdam-style. Not extremely expensive, but a bit on the high side. This means that you make a (well-deserved) tip lower than normal or omit it yourself

We had a lovely breakfast at Corner Bakery, they have nice selection of halal items and bread is so good. Unfortunately didn’t get a chance to take a picture of our breakfast as we ate it 😁 Friendly and helpful staff, highly recommended.

The server there is soo rude went it to look to buy a cake and she straight said we are closed 20 minutes before closing time

Went without reservation, as a walk-in, which I learned, is not something to do in the Netherlands if you can help it. Food was good though for the content, which was mostly (exception of egg dishes etc) mixture of ingredients you could find in a supermarket with minimal preparation, I found it expensive. Granola dish with honey on the slde was served with honey in a paper container placed on the yogurt for example. My expectation at such a place would be for it to be placed in a proper small porcelain container and placed not on the food but next to it. We were seated downstairs which we accepted in advance, because upstairs was full (reservations I presume since there were vacant tables) with no windows. So the experience boiled down to the food and service only, which was so so for food and good for service.

I went to Corner Bakery on the recommendation of a friend. I was greeted quickly and seated in the downstairs room. The decoration pleasantly surprised me, and the menu is very diverse. My latte was served very quickly and was beautifully presented. My friend, who arrived a little later, asked for a takeaway coffee. Although the establishment does not normally offer this service, they made an exception, and the coffee was excellent. The boss was present and was versatile, warm and a good advisor. We spoke with him for a few minutes, which added a personal touch to our experience. In summary, a very good place to have brunch or simply enjoy a good coffee. I highly recommend!

6 years ago I went here with my mother for your amazing freakshake. I was very satisfied with the service at the time, so I decided to come back again this weekend with my friend. We were very surprised by the service/food. First of all, we were immediately sent outside upon arrival because a man who worked here made us wait. We both had an unpleasant experience with this employee. He talked very loudly, impersonally, hurriedly and was only concerned with when the tables would become available. We thought it was special that our operator was also wearing sweatpants. We were also not happy with the food. We had a huge stomach ache after this. All in all, no service at all for a 40.00 euro lunch.

Before my visit to the museum, I came to this café to have breakfast - and it was worth it! The café is nicely decorated and exudes a cozy atmosphere. The croissants are simply amazing: fresh, buttery and crispy. The service was also very courteous and friendly. An all-round successful start to the day – I’ll be happy to come back!

Not sure why people recommend this place. It was our 4th day in Netherlands and we have never failed any brunch or coffee until we visit this place. First of all, the service was 'awkward'. I would not put a word 'rude' here, but certainly weird and somewhat unpleasant. They seemed extremely kind but at the same time very passive aggressive. All the menus were online and they reject any offline orders without providing any paper menus. You will have to be in basement if you dont book (again I have no idea why all those papers were booked), but the atmosphere was too small and not nice enough compared to others. I at least expected something special in food and drinks. However, they were certainly below average! Just normal bread, croassaint and normal eggs - which they called as 'hang over breakfast' and took 20 euros from my pocket. The worst part was coffee. I have a fair bit of experience in coffee/barista, and could tell immediately their management on coffee machine was unhygienic and poor. Could taste lots of 'burnt smell' surely not from beans but the machine. Ice coffee was just not-cold coffee without ice. I always thought dutch cafe provide decent coffee and brunch. I came from the UK and loved every parts of Dutch cafe. However, NOT this place. I am sure there are tons of better cafes around this area. Not here.

We had brunch there, the food was great and it’s in a quiet neighborhood, enjoyable vive. The points down are for the ordering, I have to scan the QR code, fill in my name, phone number and email for ordering, this is so unnecessary for a restaurant, will we need to show our IDs in order to eat out in the future? At least offer an alternative for customers to order with the waiter directly.

Negative experience. I had to order exclusively via an app where everything is in Dutch and I had to leave personal details... really senseless. Another couple also entered after me and had to leave because they couldn't scan the QR. But what about physical menus? The cappuccino was good, but I found everything too expensive for what I consumed. Ah, €1 more for plant-based milk in 2024, no come on... And the icing on the cake, they offered to give me a doggie bag to take away what I hadn't consumed, but they made me do everything alone. The excuse was that they aren't allowed to do it... Never heard of it.

They are very slow, it is not normal to wait 45 minutes for toast with avocado and cheese.

We arrived at the restaurant and they moved us to the ground floor. You order the letter and the command through an app and pay instantly. It took 20 minutes to serve us drinks and 45 minutes to serve us food. We had to take the cutlery ourselves. Although the food was good, I don't recommend the place.

I was recommended this place on tiktok as one of the cool spots for breakfast. in the end, you can only place an order through the website. when I tried to pay, the website gave an error bc of apple pay. the person at the register said that we can wait 2-3 min and the system might start working. we just left hungry bc can’t wait for so long. fix your broken system pls. upd. literally ONE day after I entered my phone number and email into their system, I started receiving spam. ✨ thank u ✨
