Café Van Daele in Burgwallen-Nieuwe Zijde

I went for a drink with my family; there was a good atmosphere and all that. We ordered some breaded balls that tasted like nothing but were edible. The waiter was really nice; I asked him for a Sprite and his response was: “Let’s do it, bro” (very friendly and you could tell he was ambitious in his work), a great guy, plus he had a trendy haircut.

Myles is super friendly and fun! Great place! I'll probably come back sometime if I'm in the area!

A cafe located in the center, ideal for stopping for a beer and a drink before continuing your visit to the city. The waiter is one of the few in the city who was pleasant, in fact, he was very attentive and friendly.

Excellent place to stop for a drink and a snack. The service is fast, they have restrooms, and there's plenty of space. I recommend the nachos.

We couldn't taste any alcohol in the cocktails. They were half-filled with ice cubes. They weren't mojitos and Long Island Iced Tea as they should be.

They do not serve. We had to wait for 25 mins for ordering food yet nobody came to take order. Then I went to the bar to ask if we order at the bar or table, they said they will come to take order in a moment. Nobody came for another 10mins. Finally we decided to go to somewhere else. Left the place. There were 3 servers but none of them is serving.

Toilet was not clean and empty of Toilet paper.

Super nice atmosphere. Enjoyed the drinks a lot and were looking for a bar just like this. Service was so nice - i think our waiters name was Nick (?) - really kind and FAST. Really enjoyed the stay would come here again mosty because of the nice drinks from ( I think his name was Rense) and service :)

Everything was very pleasant, the staff were very friendly and attentive. Even though they didn't have the product in stock, they specifically went out of their way to get it. I will definitely choose them again.

Sat in the upstairs loft with a party of 6. Great "homemade" food with a personal touch. All food is prepared with locally sourced ingredients, not a chain restaurant. This provides a unique local flavor down to the dipping sauce for the fries. Also had the Beef Quesadilla and Pulled chicken sandwich, which were excellent. The manager/ server was helpful in recommending the specialties and popular meals. The upstairs area was fun and unique where our party could talk within bothering other tables. Had an excellent view of the street and Palace. Prices were very reasonable and tips are appreciated but not expected.

Beautiful cozy interior, friendly helpful staff, queer friendly and in a nice part of Amsterdam. Fuller/ more cramped on the weekends, as can be expected.

Dropped in for a quick beer and was delighted by how cozy and well curated the interior of the bar was. Lovely levels between the main bar and dining area. They have Hertog Jan as their house beer for only €3.80 per vaasje. Polish staff member was very professional and kind. Lovely terrace for people watching, too. Will definitely be back for some more beer and bites.

The beer was good. Entertainment came from the many drunk people walking past the pub outside.

I really appreciated the honesty and manner of the young man who served us coffee. He also handled the inappropriate behavior of some customers who were behaving badly. 5 stars, well deserved.

Popped in today on a whim and had some lovely conversations with Martha, Fernando and Kinga (I'm not sure of spelling, so sorry). Had a beer recommendation from Martha which was delicious (local brew too apparently!)

Absolutely loved this quaint cafe! We stumbled upon it. When we saw the sign outside for Mulled Wine, that was it 🍷 it's not a big place, but a few levels. Very eclectic, and cozy vibe. We chose to sit upstairs in the loft. Not a really large menu for food..but we found several yummy things. Pumpkin soup, cheese toast, was perfect to enjoy our warm Mulled Wine. Service was stellar! Seems like a local favorite as well. Looking forward to another visit here..loved it 🙌

Beer looks good and reasonably priced (€7.60), and the potatoes are delicious. Small place with a second floor and an entertaining atmosphere. The attention 10/10, the guy very friendly.

We had two coffees ☕️ with milk. They served us two coffees in a large cup and a jug of milk, and a couple of delicious cookies. Sitting at a small table for two inside.

We went at 18:00 and they didn't have hot coffee. We drank Ice Americano but the taste of the coffee was very bad. However, the employees were very friendly. Since I don't drink alcohol, I have no idea about other options.
