Doesn’t get better than this. A snackbar needs the classic food pictures on the wall to give that snackbar vibe and that’s what they have. The father and son are amazing and I wish to see this place packed everyday. Love to come here all the time❤️

Friendly people, onions are cut large, and they don't use red onion with the fries. The kapsalon is very mediocre, and the fork isn't good.

This is where I like to get or eat fries. Everyone can feel welcome here. Outside the hustle and bustle of the Wibautstraat or the TikTok craze. Enough space to sit down, alone or with a group. Honest and clean with that little bit of extra attention that goes beyond service. Also known as interest among people. You see the familiar faces of father and son there every day. It still exists, a normal and good snack bar in the neighborhood as a constant factor.

I meant to post this review the night it happened (June 18th), but I got sidetracked—so here it is! I can’t express enough gratitude for this place! My fiancé and I were starving after not eating for a while. We were staying at the Volks Hotel, and it was getting pretty late. We were worried we wouldn’t find anywhere to eat—until we discovered Cafetaria 2002. This lovely, cozy spot is run by a very kind family, and they truly made our night. My fiancé ordered the chicken burger with fries, and I had the hamburger with fries. Both were absolutely delicious! The atmosphere and the food were amazing. We even went back the next day because it was so good, and the owners were incredibly sweet. I highly recommend this place—10/10! I hope we get the chance to come back if we’re ever in Amsterdam again. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦 🇳🇱

The service deserves an extra star, it is rare that it is so friendly. You get your snacks on a plate, and for a normal price by Amsterdam standards. Thanks guys!

I love fries, and they have really managed to create something special here. It's admirable how they can make even frozen fries with a standard sauce so minimalist. Really impressive, especially if you have been doing this for more than 20 years. It's a shame I haven't been here before!

Father and son run this place. They are open and kind to everyone. The food is delicious, classic cafeteria. Recommended if you fancy a Dutch snack such as fries, frikandel, kapsalon, burger, chicken satay or various dishes. Great tent!

We have the (enormous) pleasure to live close to this place :) The father and son (Tahar and Tarik - I think it is written this way) are the most friendly people I have ever met. They greet us with a great smile every time and they are very attentive. Once I ordered some food to go and told them I would go to the supermarket in the meantime. They made sure my food was kept warm and the french fries would only be fried once I arrived, which made the complete difference to the taste. We have had meals in the restaurant as well and the service, food and friendliness is still the same. The place is very well kept and clean, and all the food is made at the time of your order (which makes it even better). Make sure you pay a visit if you are around (we recommend the Shoarma Schotel)

Really try to stay positive and the staff is very friendly, but this €7.50 hair salon is a bit comparable to Ajax this season. Both don't mean much

Nice owner. Very nice talker. Fries and snacks for a good price. Had a delicious cup of coffee. And to our surprise, a fresh milkshake, made from banana and milk, while we wait. Delicious!!

Voor een doordeweekse shoarma (en waarschijnlijk ook andere snacks) is dit een prima plaats om langs te komen. Het broodje shoarma bestaat uit een pitabroodje met goed gekruid vlees in overvloed en wat ijsbergsla. Veel mensen lopen in en uit om bestellingen op te halen en het personeel kent de klanten, wat een goed teken is. Ook de koffie is van prima kwaliteit! Kortom, heb je trek, ben je in de buurt van het OLVG Oost dan is dit een prima plaats om je shoarma te halen!
