Went to kID Amsterdam and really enjoyed it. The chicken sandwiches were super delicious and the homemade lemonade wonderfully fresh. Relaxed, quiet atmosphere, friendly staff and everything was clean. Small terrace, but nice vibe. Definitely come back here!

The chicken tastes like if an American style and Korean style fried chicken had a baby, then this place serves that. There is a lot of Umami and seaweed flavored throughout the menu so unless you want to taste the ocean 2 hours after dinner keep those flavors balanced. A bit pricey considering one of our guests was vegan gluten free. Cucumber salad with mustard seeds was tasty as was the eggplant skewers.

Every single dish was super super tasty - great ambience and experience from food to staff to that amazing pandan cocktail (which was star of the show!). Thanks Benjamin & crew, definitely coming back!

Vibes don't lie! Always enjoy with Kid. Highlights are the Tsukune Skewers and spicy chicken sandwich. Only comment, the short ribs could be a bit warmer and check for hydration. Enjoyed until next time✌🏽

The chicken burgers were 10/10, worth the hype, however, the rest of the food was nice but seemed a bit too pricey, and the cucumber salad was way too bitter and we didn’t like. But definitely would go get those chicken burgers again!

Best fried chicken and burger in the Netherlands

Was very excited to eat here, after making a big to come back a second time (first time despite free tables, the kitchen decided a walk in table would be too much trouble) I had the burger - fresh roll, moist and crispy chicken - but utterly without flavor, the burger had zero character What pushed this experience down to 2 stars was the poor service - I waited 10 minutes for my order to be taken, had to ask multiple time for cutlery, I ordered drinks and they simply forgot to bring it Wil not be returning - pity, the place has much potential

Incredible atmosphere, the sandwiches are a must but can’t miss the siders. The bar is great as well, really refreshing to have with the savory flavors. - zuccini skewers - furikoka patatoes - chicken burgies

The chicken sandwiches were great. Would go back for those and would also like to try the chicken wings. The noodles were a bust as they tasted like they had been flavored with fish food flakes, like the kind you put in a fish bowl. The cabbage appetizer was tasty but felt very disproportionately priced: 17,00 euros for a quarter of a cabbage.

Visited here a while back, and the food + atmosphere was amazing without being overly expensive for the quality (the sticky toffee pudding was superb). However, the service was the worst I have ever had. To summarize why (more in detail below), the service was terrible because the waitstaff were chatting amongst themselves at the bar with their backs turned to the customers the entire evening, too busy to attend to any customers. However, I would still recommend going because I have heard from friends that the service was good on other days they attended. Bad service (in more detail): while the waitstaff were polite enough during interactions, I spent 5 minutes (not exaggerating) waiting at the door without anyone coming up to guide me to my reserved table (and this was not because the waitstaff was busy with other customers); in the end, my fellow guest had to go up to the waitstaff to get their attention. Throughout the whole evening, it felt as though the waitstaff were inconvenienced by the presence of customers. It always took long to have a waiter come to our table (to order food, get drinks, get dessert, get the bill, etc.), solely because the waitstaff were standing and chatting at the bar table with their backs facing the customers. It was horrible to feel as though the customers were inconveniencing the waitstaff's "hangout" merely by having dinner at the restaurant. HOWEVER, the person with whom I dined has gone back more than once since then and reported wonderful service since then, which makes me wonder why the service when we attended together was so bad. Overall, I would recommend going purely because I think the terrible service may have been a one-time thing (I hope so at least).

I really wanted to rated this place higher because the staff was quite friendly. It is very cozy, cute, hipster vibe but if you’re anywhere near the door it will be quite a draft so bundle up as the heat is not set very high to offset. The seabass, although it indicates it is spicy we found it very bland I even requested salt to try and bring some flavouring out, it was on cold tomato puree which in theory should be very light and almost like a gazpacho lacked in flavour, the seabass itself tasted fresh. The cabbage was very good. The short rib was very disappointing, we didn’t finish it as it was very dry and unseasoned. The au jus just tasted like cheap oil on the side. It was just a piece of dry meat with some oil on a plate. (No bone from rib in sight) Langostine noodles, these had potential but our came out cold. They were hard to stir because the were not hot or even warm so they were pretty much stuck together so unfortunately after our first bite we didn’t eat any more. The spicy chicken burger, this was good but fried anything is usually good so it’s hard to mess it up. Although the staff was very pleasant, they did not ask us at all if we enjoyed the meal and when they took the plates with clearly visibly portions away they did not bother to ask if there was something wrong, they ignored it completely. We sat at the bar.

As always, masters at their craft. So many different options like lobster bisque noodles, spicy fired chicken burgers to roasted cabbage and short ribs. All different dishes all in perfect execution. Will visit always.

Outstanding food - One of the culinary highlights during our trip to Amsterdam. The chicken sandwich is the obvious thing to go for (and it is great!), but the scallops with pickled mushrooms just brought the whole experience to the next level.

The food here was beyond great. I had the egg plant skewers, langoustine noodles and honey crispy chicken burger. Also the lychee cocktail which was yum. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee miso cake thing. Love to come back again.

I loved this place. A restaurant with a lot of atmosphere, beautiful vibe and delicious food. Their menu has many options for all tastes and every dish we tried was delicious. They have a very good signature cocktail menu, I recommend the Plum Negroni. I recommend booking in advance, although you can also arrive and sit at the bar

I read the newest reviews and perhaps got super enthusiastic about this place. The Georgian lady was extremely nice and helpful, but everything else was very disappointing. Chicken sandwich (the spicy one) was somewhat ok-ish but not spicy at all. Scallops - well, this was waste of money. Potato is good, but let’s be serious - it’s just potato. What shocked me was that ginger beer was served in a water glass full of ice. I asked them to get it without ice and I got 1/2 glass for 4€. This was beyond embarrassing, I thought they were joking but unfortunately they were not. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

We tried a lot of the dishes and every last one of them was DELICIOUS. Portion sizes are very fair as well. Great selection of drinks including japanese whiskeys, cocktails and natural wines. The atmosphere is super fun and laid back as well, great place for a Friday night

Was there today for the first time and I’m speechless. The staff is super kind and helpful, the spot is perfectly spotted next to a canal and the sandwiches… the sandwiches are whole another level. I’m not even sure if it’s legal for something to taste that good. Fully recommended.

Just some meters before we reach the restaurant, we could smell the food outside and its mouth watering. Asian fusion food but surprisingly good. All dish we ordered came out fine. We satisfied with all of them. We like the burger a lot but we forgot to take picture. The bun is very soft while the meat marinated really well. We find that the portion is quite small and the price is in expensive side. The restaurant is quite small with limited seats. We booked our table several days in advance and we have limited time slot for us.

One of the best restaurants I've been to in Amsterdam recently! The price/quality ratio is really great; The two of us ate for less than 70 euros and really drank (alcohol) and ate enough, which you really have to pay a lot more money for in Ams these days. The menu was great, difficult to choose because there were so many tasty things. The chicken burger, which they are known for, is also really worth the hype. Besides the food, which was great, the entire atmosphere is exactly what you want. Very cozy and small inside. We sat at the bar, great for a date! Definitely want to come back here!

People working there are great, super accommodating and you can tell they love the food. Food is absolutely mind blowing, we come here regularly because they change their menu every now and then. Currently a huge fan of their winter/hearty food. Although their burgers are a super staple, I would also try to get their short ribs, tsukune and bique noodles

Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Servers were so nice and chatted me up and even though I came during lunch where the menu options were smaller, they shared with me the dinner menu and I know I need to come back to try more.

Our family of 4 (kids 11 and 14 yrs) had the best dinner here! Excellent cocktails for the parents, and the food was the best we’ve had in our travels through Europe so far. We’re only in Amsterdam one more night and we will probably rebook for tomorrow. Even the music was great! Our kids say KID was ‘awesomesauce’.

Nice burgers, both taste completely different

They were finally open for lunch. Everything we ordered was delicious. Burger, noodles, pancakes with chili oil, prawn sandwich. All 5 stars. Food was also ready very fast.

Great place for nice food and nice drinks. Ideal for a short visit too, so can be very casual. I would come back tho as a larger party and stay for a longer time, as I feel you could just relax and order bits through out a night. The staff are perfect, very accommodating and friendly. They was quick to make new drinks and help suggest food.

Oh my god: is how I would sum up my experience at KID amsterdam. The food was genuinely so delicious, we got seated really quickly (with a reservation), the atmosphere was amazing, and the cocktails were innovative and delicious, overall 100/10. I’m an Amsterdam local, and I honestly have a hard time finding restaurants that absolutely blow my mind, but dear god let me tell you that KID amsterdam did exactly that! I recommend everyone to try this place out, it was perfect for a date with my partner, but also great for friends! I can’t emphasize how life changing the buttery chicken sandwich was, and the cucumber salad was a delicious fresh additive. Furthermore, the chicken wings are seasoned to perfection and super juicy. Shoutout to the two guys working on Wednesday the 11th, you’ll definitely be seeing me come back! Definitely deserves a spot in my top 3!!

Wings, both chicken sandwiches and the potatoes were all delicious. Everything came out hot and fresh for us to enjoy. Rey small restaurant inside but they do have outside seating which is nice to seat and share a meal with the along with a view. The service was kind of slow since the servers were spread out with doing the inside and the outside. It was still a nice experience, good food and highly recommended by the hotel and friends I stayed with.

We were here because of the good reviews and chose the Sichuan sandwich. Crispy and juicy, but the taste was nothing special. I love Sichuan food in China, but this was disappointing. Also slightly burnt. Price is high for what you get. Service: 1 employee friendly, the other not.

One of my favorites in Amsterdam! An essential dinner spot with great cocktails and ambiance. The Lemon Drop cocktail is so refreshing and both fried chicken sandwiches are must tries in their own right. The cabbage is the most surprising and memorable dish – we always have to have one when we visit.

There was a female working tonight with black adidas bottoms, her customer service skills was lacking bad! She wouldn’t let me sit on tables snd wanted me to sit on the high stalls and eat food on the bar table top saying it was busy……. A nice gentlemen sat me on another table. I sat and ate my food and there was multiple tables still free at this point …….. other table that came after me got their food before me ! When I’ve been sat for almost an hour She was very rude , infact when I asked for extra sauce for my potato 🥔 she did not bring me the sauce instead walking round looking clueless…… When she finally did after having to ask again, I was put off …. I will never coming back again….!!!!!! It was instagram that brought me to come ! But never will I come again. Other waiters and bar staff was great and serviced with a smile. What a shame about the rude lady act important but doing absolutely nothing.

The food in general was very good, and the atmosphere is nice, but the service was annoying, extremely slow and apathetic. (Someone other review described it as hipster slow, well this was extra-post hipster ultra slow. We had to wait quite a while to get menus, a long time to get our courses and a ridiculous amount of time to get the dessert, and that happened after we reminded the waitress that we ordered. The place wasn’t full, and we didn’t get any explanation, It felt like the staff just didn’t care. So unfortunately, even though the place looks good and the food was very enjoyable, we left very annoyed and disappointed by the service.

This will not disappoint you in any dimension. Such great food, you can taste the passion the put in creating beautiful dishes. Chicken sandwich(burger) is among the best one I’ve ever had. You can’t go wrong here. Staff is super friendly.

I recently visited KID in Amsterdam, a modern restaurant with Asian roots, and it was an amazing experience! The dishes are incredibly delicious, and the multiple outdoor terraces make for a lovely setting. The interior is beautiful, and you can really feel the passion of the young staff in the food they serve. I tried the Sui Mai, which was my favorite full of flavor and truly unique. The Fried Chicken Wings were not particularly special but still good. The Crispy Honey Mustard Burger was excellent, and we also enjoyed the Seabass and the Furikake Potatoes. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is great, the vibe is nice, and you're sure to have a wonderful evening in a beautiful location!

Super hip and fun restaurant. Walked up without a reservation and got lucky and snagged that last seat at the bar. Had a lemongrass iced tea, satay chicken skewers and roasted cabbage. Everything was excellent but the sauces for both the skewers and the cabbage were both just incredible. They really made the meal. And the iced tea was shockingly good. Really fun spot for dinner. Servers were friendly, good came quickly and prices were great.

KID Amsterdam on Ruysdaelkade offers a vibrant dining atmosphere and a modern asian menu with a twist. While the outdoor seating is particularly pleasant during the early summer with extended daylight hours, there were a couple of tables that were unfortunately positioned right next to the vents. Notable menu items include the Sichuan chicken sandwich and the honey butter chicken sandwich with spicy mayo, both served on soft brioche bread that complements the crispy fried chicken thigh fillets well. Although if they were more generous with the slaw it can better balance the flavors and textures, making the sandwiches even more enjoyable. KID Amsterdam does a great modern asian menu, great for those seeking innovative culinary offerings in a lively setting.

The flavors were perfectly balanced, with a juicy chicken breast that was seasoned just right, encased in a lightly toasted bun. The service was excellent and the atmosphere of the restaurant completes the experience. I highly recommend that anyone reading this review not hesitate and head straight to KID to try this phenomenal chicken burger. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. This is by far the best chicken burger in Amsterdam!

Had a perfect evening. The service was good and attentive. Despite the crowds, the team communicated well with us. The food, from starter to main course, was original, tasty and gave a warm feeling. The drinks were complementary and Good Jamu's Turmeric Soda paired perfectly with the chicken burger. I have become a regular customer.

Update: I confirm the complaints about the draught when you sit closer to the door. A simple solution (and cheap I guess) would be a thick & heavy curtain around the door... Fine dining "fastfood" + some twists paired with great sake and draught Asahi, it's our new favorite!! We loved everything we tried.

By far the best chicken burger I've ever had. The chicken was incredibly juicy and tender, the flavours complex and well-balanced. The vegetarian burger was easily one of the best I've had before as well, and the potatoes were filled with a deep umami punch, great atmosphere, perfect for a semi-casual dinner and great service as well. Really amazing and I look forward to going again soon!
