I order food, but taste not so delicious, what l expect

Well, because of all the positive feedback, we ordered one meal yesterday with two extra sauces and papadams for over 30 euros (!!) and it was truly one of the worst delivery experiences ever. The Tandoori mix consisted of a container of bad meat (hard chunks of chicken), a stray frozen shrimp, and some bits of unidentifiable meaty fantasy, coated in a bit of red, but inside simply white and tasteless. We seriously wondered if this had been cooked in a tandoor or if it was just microwaved. A few small containers of sauce and some slivers of papadams. Unloving! We've ordered tandoori from other places before, and the quality there was much better. On the plus side: the order didn't take long, hence the 2 stars instead of 1.

My drink (cola) was not delivered with my food, though I ordered and payed. When called, I was given this reply - 'This time we cannot do anything, next time we give you one drink free' ---- Pure Scam !!!! Food was half cooked ! Ruined my day !

I am a regular customer who have been ordering for years! I recommended this restaurant to many friends. However Recently we noticed the quality of the food has dropped significantly (maybe for cost reduction as they kept prices somehow inline), for example, smaller and less pieces of meat or chicken, less quality meat used or replaced by cheaper alternatives and more water sauce. We will still order again but much less frequent or maybe try different restaurants.

Yesterday I had the best Chicken Korma I've ever had here. The flavors match 100% with the traditional flavors from India. Highly recommended to eat here.

Absolutely repugnant and unacceptable. I ordered rice with chicken korma and ended up with a dead insect in my food. Yes, a real bug — cooked right into the dish. This isn’t just disgusting, it’s a blatant violation of basic food safety standards. It shows a complete lack of hygiene, professionalism, and respect for customers. If this is what ends up on the plate, I don’t even want to imagine what the kitchen looks like. Shame on this place. I wouldn’t feed this to an animal, let alone a paying customer. Health authorities need to inspect this restaurant immediately. Absolutely disgraceful. Never again.

My go to Indian takeaway in Amsterdam! The food is suppper tasty, the butter chicken is full of flavour, great portion sizes and always arrives warm. The delivery drivers always go above and beyond to personally deliver every time. Can't recommend it enough!!

This is my favorite Indian restaurant since years! They have a large variety of dishes, everything is really tasty, the portions are fairly big and the paneer is incredible, also great service. A lot of choices for vegetarians too 🌱♥️ super recommended

Not at all recommended. If you are looking for good Indian food, don't think of going to tandoori 2 go. Based on Google ratings we decided to visit this restaurant, but we came out with disappointments. No washroom in the restaurant. No proper hand wash area. Clothes of the restaurant workers were hanging around the wash basin. Tap over the wash basin was broken, no soap provided. We ordered paneer tikka masala and naan. Naan was okay but paneer tikka masala was very bad. They charged 3 euro extra as table service and did not provide us the bill. Ambience is not good. Anyone planning to visit this restaurant based on Google ratings, please try some other restaurants.

I checked the reviews and was so impressed with everyone praising it, hence decided to order the basic chicken vindaalo and paneer butter masala with naam. And i was disappointed. The food is below average, didn’t feel like eating the whole thing at once. Its nothing compared to dhabas in india as other comments have written. I am never having food here.

I’m English, and back home we take our Indian food very seriously. Whilst Indian food is not quite same level as in the UK generally, Tandoori 2 Go is very bloody good by NL standards. The chicken tikka masala is really good (nothing like a typical british version), and the garlic naan is not only tasty but also a big portion. A curry, rice, and naan here is enough for a hungry bloke to have 2 dinners - so don’t be put off by the prices!!

Restaurant is nice for dine in or take away. Tried the tandoori leg and butter chicken. Reminds me of indian dhaba, very nicely done food. Butter naan and alu matar was also good, so was the kulfi. 5 stars for the food, and staff. Very polite and friendly.

Delicious food. It seems on the expensive side, but 1 portion is so large that you can easily eat it with 2 people, so it is less than a tenner per person :)

Tandoori 2 Go in my opinion is easily one of the best Indian's in NL & definitely best for delivery. Coming from the UK and having lived here for nearly 10 years, I spent many years trying to find a satisfying curry that hit the spot. The saag lamb is quality, also just had the mixed grill where every piece was juicy, don't think I've had a better one anywhere. The crispy prawns are one of my favourite things to eat in Amsterdam, though preferred the box packaging. Also recommend the Aubergine curry, super smokey! Their portions are always very generous and when you factor in the free drink + no delivery fee, it's very good value imo. The high quality of the food is also very consistent. Only issue is I'd prefer it hotter when requesting it hot but that's a personal preference :) Thanks again to the team for the great food :)

I ordered the vegetarian dish with potatoes in a rich curry sauce and it was really delicious. The curry comes with a huge portion of rice. The Naan in my opinion wasn't the best I ever had but it was still good!

Good takeout indian food. Dishes tend to be slightly on the spicier side (e.g. even the chicken tikka masala is a bit spicy) so best to keep that in mind if you're sensitive to it. The dish prices might seem a bit more expensive than average but the portion sizes are big, me and my partner always share a dish. Recommended!

Delicious!! The naan is perfect as well as the lentils in any dish! Flavor is 👌🔥 Dutch spicy though so ask for extra spice ;)

I met a guy from India in my hometown in germany and he told me to go here when in Amsterdam. That was an overwhelming experience. Food was super authentic and delicious and the portions were big enough for us to have a second late dinner at home.

I used to love this place, I ordered it really often. However, recently they made the plates too spicy, the quality of the chicken has changed as well and the prices have increased. I also added a note to have less spicy version of chicken korma but it was ignored. I am sorry of these recent changes since this was my favourite restaurant!

Na de vele recensies hier besloten te bestellen. Na ontvangst had ik meteen al spijt. Heb bij vele Indiase restaurants gegeten en besteld, de tandoori chicken van deze zaak is erg smaakloos…. Heb niet genoten van het eten, jammer.

Chicken (spicy) saag is de bom!!

Geweldig eten! Helaas wel het verkeerde gerecht meegekregen en telefonisch waren ze onbereikbaar anders was het 5 sterren geweest.

So i happened to visit here to pack food during my stay . Restaurant with such high ratings in google needs to be visited but it failed. Ordered Naan and Tandoori roti both were thick and under cooked. Shai paneer was in bland tamato creamy gravy with fried panner which was little hard and disappointing. From punjabi people cooking I expected better food.

One of the rare Indian places in Europe where you find actual Indian food made by properly mixing spices and other ingredients while cooking. This makes the chicken/lamb/veggies actually have the aroma of the spices. Most other places make the sauces separately and toss in the chicken/veggies just before serving. You can see the kitchen when you're there. Prices are slightly on the higher side, which is expected since the above process is labor intensive. Hygiene could be improved a bit for those who dine it, but their focus is on take away.
