Cafetaria Charly Eglantier in Zuidoost

Ordered over an hour ago, still haven't received anything. I've called four times at different times, but no answer. Poor communication. I have no idea if anyone will come or if I'll have to drive over there to pick up my food.

Berenhap was not tasty and the frikandelspeciaal was not cut.

Just made a stopover in Apeldoorn, and found this snack bar. Good and tasty food. Clean place, friendly owner, just great.

The quality of the food was very disappointing. I had the Charly Burger myself, but it was completely covered in sauce, so in my opinion there was little left of the bun. No feeling of authenticity as you would expect from a house sandwich. Furthermore, there was an older employee in a tracksuit joking at the bar. Every now and then he starts singing or shouting at customers he knew or the staff. So he could very well have been the boss. Didn't feel very welcoming. A positive point is that, despite what is sometimes said here, they are open until 23:30. Next time I will definitely skip this unfortunately, it used to be much better.

Not what it used to be, the place is run by teenagers, they are constantly smoking at the door. Chips are double fried, if you want a veggie croquette, you get a goulash. If you tell them, they react very nonchalantly, which is understandable, because they are not yet adults. Next time I will go a bit further to the Arnhemseweg, they can still do it there!

Opening times are not correct, Google indicates open, but we are really standing in front of a closed door.

The cafeteria now closes around 7:30 PM and that is understood. Whether it is increasing attention to healthy food or the fact that almost every family has an Airfryer at home, it is no longer possible to quickly grab a croquette in the evening. As for price/quality...I think that's a minor issue, but everything is becoming more expensive.

We got our food here and ate it at home. It was very tasty and will definitely come back here.

Asked if the fries could be gluten free. Ask for mayo separately and whether it can be gluten-free. Mayo is not gluten-free. Then get a container with the fries dipped in the mayo. I don't dare eat it because small amounts can make me sick. When I comment on it, I am told that these fries with mayo are special, so no further consideration is given. So no service and understanding. Taste was assessed by others who attended.

Today I ate my fries very sparingly so that at least my kids and husband had enough to eat, bizarre how little you get in fries if you order for 4 people.

Good cafeteria, with lots of choice. After the move, they will be in a better location to quickly pick up something. They are certainly not the cheapest cafeteria.

I picked up a special frikadel and a special frikadel. I have never had so few fries in the container. Asking full price for a half filled container. Scandalous!

Got the fries, they were well done and hard, almost impossible to get rid of, I had to throw half of them away, and for so much money, I think it's a shame.

Fries were fried for the second time and I received 3 small portions with desired sauce. The sauce was tasty, but the fries were really inedible, which was a shame, not what we are used to from Charly!

Disinterested staff those young girls, Ask for sito stick with satay sauce (most normal) but get sito stick with joppie sauce, which she also drops on the head when she puts it in the bag. Sito stick itself is much too hard and tasteless fries. Never again!!!!

Yesterday I went to Charly's for dinner with my friend and daughter who has an assistance dog. At first it was said that no dogs were allowed inside. After my daughter explained that assistance dogs should be allowed everywhere, we ordered our meal. The female employee brought the food and immediately announced that the dog was not allowed inside. What my daughter tried to explain, she kept repeating that even though it is an assistance dog, it is not allowed inside. She didn't listen at all. Maybe she should find out, just like Charly's owner, that assistance dogs cannot be refused in any case. Then my daughter orders a cheese souffle and gets a cheese souffle with ham. The rudeness of the female employee by asking: oh, did you order a cheese souffle? No, she just comes and says it contains ham even though she ordered a cheese souffle. A very dissatisfied customer.

Had dinner at Cafetaria Charly for the first time last night. Specially ordered a large fries. I always order large fries wherever I go, but there is a difference between large and large. With Charly it was a small one. But full price. My friend had regular fries and her first reaction was: what a small fry. The amount of fries was more like a child's amount and my 'large' container was therefore more like a normal amount at the competitor. It's clear that I won't be going here for a bowl of fries anymore. By the way, it tasted good, hence 3 stars instead of 2.

Unfortunately we didn't have such a good experience today. Farmer's fries with a bear claw and just a Charlyburger cost me more than 20 euros. When I got home I ate the food, but a large portion also ended up in the trash. Mushrooms were not tasty, the peas??? looked chemically, the gypsy sauce with my hamburger did not taste good and the bun was floating in the sauce. The burger was salty and it also had those dirty (I think from a jar) mushrooms. They charged 7.95 for this meager sandwich..... Unfortunately, this is my 2nd bad experience... Unfortunately, next time I will choose another cafeteria in the area.

Once again a disappointment, the fries tasted more like frying fat than potatoes. It looked like it had been baked several times and also had a lot of hard pieces. Again I paid over 5 euros for some fries with a snack and only ate half of it, this was the last time I got food here.

Poor quality/fried fries, have to look for sauce with a magnifying glass. There is a crowd smoking weed on the chairs outside the cafeteria, the nasty smell of which can be smelled throughout the shop! It's been a while since I was last there, but I won't be going back from now on.

Way too expensive and small portions

Wide range (fries, croquettes, other snacks), average prices, modern interior. Some tables for outdoor dining (but the cycle path is very close). Lots of space inside. Can choose to pick up or order at home. Delicious food, of course. But I wasn't really satisfied with the staff...

Most are friendly. Unfortunately, they don't know the term extra well done. Nowadays the prices are abnormally high and no longer attractive for me to go there. I really don't like the new location where they are now either. You can no longer enjoy eating outside. It's in or to go.

Ordered shawarma fries tonight, but didn't eat them. Shawarma burnt and the table was not clean. I'll never come here again.

Nice new place, delicious fries, friendly staff and a neat toilet. Worth repeating. Today, February 15, '23, as usual, had a cup of coffee, ate a frikadel and had a nice chat with friends. Our weekly outing after singing rehearsal.

Went there for dinner because I was going on holiday so it was 1 stew of fries and a bite of peanuts, also a spicy one, it was delicious food again, I will be back soon.

The quality and service in WC De Egelantier cannot be compared to that of the Asselsestraat. On the Asselsestraat they easily get 5 stars, but this one has difficulty getting 2, unfortunately.

Received a broken, dirty bag containing half of the food. Half an hour later we got the other half. Food was not tasty. Cold and overcooked. For that money I will order somewhere else next time. In one word, not satisfied at all!!!!

Definitely worth it, super nice staff, very customer friendly. The quality of the snacks is simply very good. The price-quality ratio is good. You can just have a tasty snack for a normal amount that will then be prepared with enthusiasm. Things only got better after the move. You can now people-watch from the window while you eat, which is a nice distraction for the children so that you can enjoy the snacks in peace.

Nice place if you want to see children playing cafeteria. Boys and girls who have not yet reached puberty are standing outside wearing their Charly shirts, smoking and looking at their phones. Upon return, hands are not washed and they dig into the croquettes again. There is bickering behind the counter. Even employees who are not at work come behind the counter with their coats on to grab themselves a croquette with, again, their unwashed hands. After a few visits I saw it again. Nice place and quite tasty food. But unfortunately an adolescent playground...

It had become much less in recent years, but it is really sad now. Small portions, a lot of money. Service is fine and friendly, but quality (quantity) and price are really not okay. I'm going to look for another snack bar.

Received here at 9 am on Friday, September 24, 2021. Were already busy vacuuming while people were eating/ordering inside. Then when ordering, no friendliness from employees at all, no greetings or looks and they mumble that they are barely audible. While waiting for our order at the table, there was a lot of noise around us due to the vacuuming. To top it all off, our food arrived. Hamburger bun was red soaked by probably ketchup. Onions were hard to find and there were no pickles. The sandwich was too dirty to handle and I threw it back on the plate. Fries war was also so soaked that I needed 5 napkins to dry it. It is a shame that Charly's name in Apeldoorn is being ruined in this way. The staff consists of young children who have no responsibility and spend more time hanging outside than working inside. This was once but never again.

Hot, crispy fries with a generous dollop of mayo

Been waiting for the order for over an hour now, delivery timer remains at 20 minutes..

Charl, who recently moved, takes up a large part of the main walking path with his delivery bikes in this 1.5 meter drive, not done! Everyone can park their bicycle in places at Eglantier so that there is enough space for shoppers. Charl is clearly not participating in this!

Tasty fries and the satay sauce is delicious

What a worthless company. Placed an order before 6:00 PM for 7:45 PM. I called at 8 p.m. to find out where it was. Delivery person was on his way. At 8.15 pm a bag of cold, soggy fries and snacks arrives. Called again with complaint. We were able to make it again, but that would take another hour and a half. You can only refund money via Thuisbezorgd. Service is so shockingly bad. We will never order here again.

It is not possible to bake cold and limp fries into a croquette. Ridiculously expensive for a cafeteria. Employees work with their long hair loose. Employees are busier with their own food and phone than with the customer's food. Once never again.

Just ordered food for €30. Food was really crappy. Fries that are nowhere near done seem to have only been slightly heated and appear to be old fries that are almost floating off your plate with grease. The food and staff are fine, but the prices are ridiculously high, it seems like they are increased every week. Snack bar De Pentecostal much cheaper and much larger quantity of fries with excellent staff!

Just ordered from Charly on the Eglantier, but what we received was really unacceptable. Firstly, we ordered a number of shawarma rolls, which arrived, all in a bowl with the accompanying sauce. But they had put all the containers sideways in the bag, so all the sauce was everywhere and the shawarma rolls were soaked. I also ordered a cheeseburger, knowing that it had no mushrooms. Then the burger arrives and it is full of mushrooms! I think this is too crazy for words. And the icing on the cake was that the buns were soaked with the sauce that was on (and next to) the burgers. I won't be ordering from here again.

Just ordered for almost €40. All bags are placed straight in the bag. The entire order has become one big sauce mess. Snacks are soaked in sauce, most of them are in the bags. Truly scandalous...

There's more sauce than burger. Small portion of fries in the containers And with delivery, all the food is piled high with the sauce. Forgot to deliver milkshakes, after counting they were delivered WITHOUT straws 🥴 't Fort 1000x better... They normally put sauce on the burger and the food is not messed up with delivery. + the fries are a generous portion. And don't forget anything 👌

The fries were undercooked, the hogweed was fried too long and unfortunately we did not receive the cheese croquette. I cannot find a telephone number or email address on the site or receipt and since we cannot currently order locally according to the RIVM guidelines, I hope to reach you this way.

Simply bad! A boy I haven't seen before helped us with our order tonight. However, when we got home, the 2 frikandel mayo were put on top of each other, causing the bag to be covered in mayo. My frikandel special had no curry and had been pre-fried for too long, making it dry and hard. We were still missing a frikandel and... the chicken burger and the bun were soggy and that for €32! This was the last time for us!
