Cafetaria De Tarthorst in De Horsten

Extremely poor service. We arrived early afternoon. The woman behind the counter was busy. There were a few other customers waiting. Yet, she didn't look up from her work once and didn't even greet us. She saw us anyway. We stood at the counter for 15 minutes without being spoken to. After that, we left to get something tasty for lunch at Jumbo. I've never experienced this before. Very unprofessional.

Great people, great service, great atmosphere (lovely kids and Maneki Neko) and super clean place. And ofcourse, food is the king - amazing quality and taste and portion size at really affordable prices. Best snack bar in Wageningen.

Super tasty fries and delicious peanut sauce. They serve a wide variety of snacks. The service is professional but also friendly, and the place itself is clean. Highly recommended!

I've probably been here a hundred times, as they're the cheapest snack bar in the area. We always buy less fries than at other places because the portions are so large. The snack bar also has a good amount of peanut sauce. It just doesn't feel right that the same young children (I assume they're the owners) are often sitting there watching games or videos in the corner. I say this as someone who grew up with the internet: It's terribly bad for a child that age to spend hours watching brain-rotting things online. I hope it's just a coincidence how often I see them there.

Never seen such a bad cafeteria. Unfriendly people. They don't speak Dutch very well. So I decided to get a bao bun. Instead, I was literally given two bao buns from Jumbo. It's like there's a can of cat food in them. Tip: go to Jumbo for your bao bun if you're feeling fancy. It'll save you a lot of money. I also find it strange that small children walk behind the counter and pass by the fries. Children should be playing, not working.

Really bad quality of food. A few hours after eating had stomach ache and food poisoning. (From the atmosphere it was clear that the place was bad, but wanted to trust it anyway.) The result says for itself.

Not the best quality fries, but the best quality/price ratio, although unfortunately they have had to keep raising the prices lately. A while ago I was recognized and I was not given a plastic bag as standard, but unfortunately not anymore lately. Nowadays, the standard charge for collection is 10 cents. Then I just use that plastic bag as a waste bag at home, but it's a shame. Tasty vegetarian mini spring rolls and in my opinion they are never stingy with the sauce.

Frikandel "war" chosen. And a bear bite with peanut sauce. I immediately took a picture of the frikandel at home: that was more of a frikandel "crisis". The amount of sauce on the bear bite was just about enough, but there is no question of any generosity at this company. The taste of both products was good.

Just a good snack bar. Good fries for a night out.
