Cafetaria De Toren in Breda centrum

Ordered chicken satay, clearly skewers that went straight from the freezer into the fryer. The chicken was as raw as can be!! Will not be coming here again.

Cool atmosphere, eat the fries.

Fries are amazing; the way they are fried is a real treat.

Delicious fries and snacks. Order at the counter and then wait with a buzzer for your order, which you pick up yourself at that same counter. Friendly staff and a nice seating area.

The fries were bubbly and rock-hard, the stew sweet? Bitterballen with shrimp? I didn't see a single shrimp and all four of them were broken! On top of that, they arrived half an hour early, but it's a good thing I didn't go out to walk the dog!

The fries are really hard. The deluxe hamburger is highly recommended.

Excellent place, remarkable product quality at a reasonable price. The staff are available to help us choose our products.

We recently moved to Breda's city center (we moved from Ypelaar/Blauwe Kei). And we discovered Cafetaria de Toren. It's truly the best in Breda, hands down! What delicious, fresh fries, and the snacks are great too. Today we had fries with rendang—yummy, deliciously spicy meat and crispy fries.

Best cafeteria in Breda (city center)!

The quality has deteriorated significantly; there was barely any stew meat, and it was very wet. The satay sauce was very dry, probably not stirred properly. The meatball mix stick came without a minced meat stick? Normally, you get two with the meat croquettes, but this time I only got one. Not satisfied.

Good fries, nice to sit and friendly service

Great service. The pigeons inside aren't that nice, though.

We often order fries or eat in, but the last few weeks the fries have been very overcooked and hard. What a shame.

The fries and burgers are truly excellent. Tables are cleaned frequently.

Delicious food. Fast service. Great location.

Fries are always great, but the service is absolutely terrible. You order well in advance, but they deliver your food over half an hour late. When you call and let them know, they can only say, "The delivery guy is on his way." There are plenty of other places in Breda where you get your food on time and the quality is good.

The best chip shop in Breda. Friendly, hard-working staff, lots of selection, and always delicious! Great fries, snacks, and top-notch sauces. We look forward to it every week; it's definitely worth the wait!

The one and only. Already existing for decades, and for a good reason. A real snackbar with excellent service.

Nice, I only missed the kidney rolls from the past.

Service is a low priority here these days. The staff is incredibly grumpy, and the woman just starts arguing with the customer and wants them to pay for the staff's mistake. Never come here again, that's a crapshoot.

I've eaten here often because the fries are really good. But the service and the delivery service are absolutely terrible. I ordered food, and after waiting two hours, I called to say I wasn't satisfied. It was a shame, but they couldn't do anything about it. When I wanted a refund or compensation, none of that was possible. After the phone call, they removed the receipt from the list and refused to re-issue it, saying I'd probably write a bad review about the service anyway, so I'd have to order from somewhere else.

Often there is little seating (especially inside), but the food is always delicious

More stew please, stew mayo feels like extortion. It's always a meager amount, but if you order a croquette, you still get a dollop of mustard. I'd like that dollop with my stew too. Thanks for your understanding.

Cold fries even though we live close by. Satay sauce in melted plastic containers... the bag was completely covered in satay sauce and there was hardly any sauce left for the fries. That's what paper cups are for... Fricandel Special was at the bottom of the bag, so everything was covered in ketchup. That's not how you get a satisfied customer!

I regularly order fries. But I always get rock-hard fries, even though I write softly. I don't think they can read. The delivery person says he's calling, but he's not at the intercom, and I'm not knocking on the front door. I think the quality is deteriorating rapidly. It used to be a great place. I'll go somewhere else now, or just stay home.

I eat here regularly with a few others (usually around noon). The food is super tasty, especially the fries with special topping are recommended (think of chicken salon, rendang and stew). The interior of the cafeteria is very modern with, among other things, ordering columns and zoomers for when your order is ready. Definitely recommended.

We ordered the tower burger and the egg burger with cheese. The hamburger buns are highly recommended, nice and juicy and delicious in taste. We will definitely come back for that.

hard fries, overcooked, meatball from the fryer, also overcooked. for the price I had to pay, very substandard.

Stewed meat fries are mayo fries stirred with a stock cube and a piece of meat. Outrageous for that money. Unworthy of Breda.

Very nice place. Very tasty food, tastiest burger ever!

Small chip shop with a small wall with vending machine

The croquette machine is not always filled at lunchtime

Missed opportunity... we arrive around 8:50 PM and are still allowed to order, but with the request to eat it outside at one of the picnic tables because people are clearing and cleaning because they are actually only open until 9:00 PM. No problem for us. The ordered food arrives on time and everything is fine until one of us would like to use the toilet. This is a problem because it has just been cleaned, so that is absolutely no longer possible. When we respond that this is not very customer friendly, one of the staff members literally says "just stay away from now on". And that is what we will certainly do in the future. The last time for us at De Toren!

Ordered a menu, a Hamburger with Fries and a Ben & Jerry ice cream. At least that was visible in the image. I then wait for an hour for my order. When I call, the phone hangs up immediately. I call back again shortly afterwards and this time I get someone on the line. I say that I have placed an order and ask where my order is, I am told that because I only ordered a Hamburger and a Ben & Jerry ice cream, my order is placed at the bottom of the order, and that my order is now given to another delivery person. I also say that there were fries because that was depicted in the photo. He says no, fries are not included. I say that's strange because that was in the photo. Then he says I'm going to discuss it with my colleague. A little later he says, well, just this once we'll add fries, but then you know for the next time that there are no fries with that menu. I remain very friendly on the phone the entire time and ask can you tell me how long it will take before I receive my order, he says in 20 minutes. Well, that wasn't 20 minutes, but I'm just waiting for almost an hour again. Then I get a message that my food has been delivered, well no, I didn't receive anything. I go out to see if they have put my order outside, and a delivery person walks to my door. I take my order and unpack it at home and guess what, NO FRIES…. And not only that, the hamburger was now cold and the ice cream had almost melted. I don't recommend it! I won't order again!

The satay croquette is highly recommended

Waited half an hour for takeout, fries were tasty

Definitely the best 'snack bar' in Breda. Actually more than a snack bar, 'cafeteria' does this place justice indeed. Picking up and eating on site is good, even at extremely busy times, such as carnival or other holidays. Home delivery also excellent, polite staff on beautiful bicycles deliver quickly and neatly. The Tower is always great!

Always enjoyed ordering, but lately the service has really sucked. It takes almost 2 hours before you get the fries and they almost always forget something. When you call you get an angry tone about the fact that they have to come back. I don't recommend it to anyone.

This business often closes earlier than the opening hours shown. It is nice to be told that you can no longer order even if you come by half an hour before closing time. Then change your opening hours! Bagger!

The tower is and remains my favorite! I have been eating the tastiest fries here for years. No other restaurant or chip shop can compete with this. Had it delivered to my home yesterday and there were no fries that were soggy, my friend and I enjoyed them so much that we were both really surprised by the quality of the fries even though they took another 10 minutes to get to our house, we didn't notice anything. Just as tasty as the portion you eat on the spot! I think that is truly impressive and also a sign of craftsmanship. It may seem easy to serve perfect fries, but as a true critic I can say that De Toren's fries are perfect. I'm a fan!

I arrive there about 1 hour before closing time. There are 6 students standing behind the counter cheerfully shouting that they are already closed due to a shortage of staff. And this is certainly not the first time that I have experienced that they do not respect their own opening hours!

I especially recommend not letting your child work here.

Delicious fries and snacks! Orders could be easily placed in different languages at a terminal. 🤓👍

Everything great, just quite expensive.

Delicious fries!!! Sitting outside was fine

Very disappointing experience at Cafetaria De Toren. I ordered 6 chicken strips for €7.50, and although they looked good at first glance, the reality turned out to be different. The outside was indeed crispy like KFC, but the chicken itself was bone dry. When I politely asked if they could make new comics, I received a curt and firm “NO” as an answer. No understanding or customer friendliness whatsoever. For €7.50 I expected better. This kind of service actually deserves 0 stars, but unfortunately one star was the minimum. Save yourself the trouble and skip this dry chicken!

Tasty, fairly priced and a very simple principle to pay for. You either get the food from the machine, pay at the counter or at the ordering machine. Top!

Best chip shop in Breda and the surrounding area

Very delicious food at great prices, totally recommend and would come back!

The best fries and comfort food in Breda, after a stroll in the city we always look for some fries and snacks. Because it is in the city centre, easy to reach there. Their portions are good and prices are affordable.

Try to coordinate the order with the delivery person. chicken korn was cold, peanut sauce was cold, which is understandable if it is added to a cold sauce... fries were hmm when it's busy, I understand that you keep working and try to get rid of all the orders, but then you have to do something about your packaging where the things are put in, then you cannot put the kipkorn loose in a bag... wrap it better or use foil... add the peanut sauce as Last when ordering instead of spacious Prepare it in advance… peanut sauce should be warm. It's not the first time…

Friendly staff and delicious stew

For me one of the best chip shop in Breda.

Very nice “chip shop”, very good and very friendly staff. I recommend

The fries were fried too hard and the frikandel was tough.

I'm not a cafeteria person at all, but this snack bar surprised me! Friendly staff and really tasty food! Thanks and greetings from Harderwijk ;)

Fat tasty goulash croquette of good quality. Fries also very tasty. A bit pricey

Great location for a quick hot bite. Excellent sofas, chairs and tables.

Helped quickly. Clean business Excellent quality. Slightly gruff service. It's just more than a cafeteria. Don't whine further. Top tent Had another order delivered yesterday, May 16, 2024. Remains a top case. However, when paying, I am still annoyed by the €0.25 transaction costs. Please include this in the price. I find this a bit sad. Furthermore, a real complaint.

Quality potatoes. Not too greasy and well balanced.

The fries were not as expected, they were thrown back in the fryer and then eat glassy, greasy fries... walk a little further. And a hefty price!

Ordered around 6:30 PM, unfortunately I could not track the order via the link I received in my confirmation email and I called after an hour, received my order at 8:23 PM. In that regard, it would be nice if the communication was a bit better. It would be better if it unexpectedly takes longer than indicated or whether the link works at all. The fries and snacks are really delicious so that makes up for a lot.

Delicious fries and snacks! Of course on location.

After waiting an hour and a half, I called to ask where my order was, and was told that it was just being prepared and would be delivered within a few minutes. After waiting another half hour, the order was finally there. Pale fries and nice and cold. Thanks for the 2 hour wait!

Practical for a quick meal, value for money a little too high but ok for the city

Delicious fries. Not the cheapest, but where is it still cheap?

Perfect place for if you are looking for some Dutch fries and snacks that are just a little bit more special

Bad croquettes and had to wait 70 minutes

Greets lex (dordrecht)

Cool place. For 2 small fries, 1 redbull, 1 chocomel I payed 18€. A bit pricy but recommend!

Lekker eten Vriendelijk personeel

I'm giving this place a 5 star fot the service, it was Saturday, crazy busy, my anchovies and garlic pizza was sooo strong I couldn't eat it, and the waitress was happy to help with a smile. That's rare to see, I forgot your name but thank you , my friends pizzas where delicious btw:)

In ieder geval zonder schil gefrituurd.

Thanks for the 24 chicken nuggets 😂❤️

The food is really good. Fries are delicious! Very friendly staff. They hand out a device that lights up and makes a sound when your order is ready. That's clever! One of the best places I've been to. Higly reccomendable!

Very good fries! I found a grumpy lady behind the counter. Also I missed the personal approach. It seems everything is automated here. Which is cool, but cold when you're not greeted with a happy face.

Good crispy fries they've a unique taste for sure. The burger was a little over seasoned, but would still prefer this over McD :)
