I'm not much of a fries eater, but they had fries that at least tasted cooked through and were crispy! The location is great! By the woods.

Now for the second time in a row, fries with beef stew and mayo, really hard to find the stew.. LOTS of mayo! Two cold snacks and paying €17.. A huge disappointment lately!

The most idyllic fries in Brabant, in Breda's Liesbosch. Good quality and those guys know how to get things done. Waiting times can get a bit long, but that is understandable given how busy it is.

As the name suggests, a fries shop in the Liesbosch. The tastiest fries you can imagine. In a spot under the trees, there are plenty of beer benches and tables where you can sit down to eat. You cannot sit inside here.

Thanks to Remco, I have been coming here for 20 years. Not really close from Rotterdam, but sometimes the stomach wins over the brain. A difficult fries, read: French fries, mayonnaise, ketchup, onions and a greasy, thick muddy peanut sauce. The sauce is a bomb of calories and with a bit of bad luck you will eat the fingers with it. It always hurts a little afterwards, but after a few months you forget that. The Fritessalon is in a beautiful location and at any time of the day there are cars (with windows fogged up in winter) snacking. You can enjoy a lovely walk after your meal in the middle of beautiful Liesbosch. A year later, already June 2023. We were in the area, coarse frikandel and cheese soufle. Pleasant service and again tasty, without mayo the frikandel is very dry. In short, a real special order.

The very best fries, fries the way fries should actually be everywhere. We are happy to drive out of our way for this!!! Also various special sauces, of which I personally find the *Hannibal Sauce* the absolute best, alongside the regular delicious creamy fries sauce. After visiting this small but amazing place, fries in their simplicity are nowhere tastier... have been warned!!!

We had a delicious meal, but the waiting time is very long.

It was our turn quickly and it tasted good. The price is quite high, though. We had 2 portions of fries with special toppings, 2 snacks, and 2 cans of soda for almost 26 euros.

I couldn't really judge it, because when we arrived there was already a line of about 7 to 8 meters and I was too hungry to wait. Try again in a few weeks (after the school holidays).

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to such a filthy snack bar!! There was dust everywhere, everything was greasy, and dead flies were hanging on cobwebs above the fryer! It’s been a long time since this place was cleaned!

The fries were tasty and affordable

Waiting more than 30 minutes for the fries after ordering. I find that too long. A homemade croquette for 3.40 was dripping with grease and was open. Medium special fries and small special fries, frikandel and croquette, more than 17 euros, I find quite pricey.

Edited: Following a response from the fritessalon, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that these *are* indeed vegetarian bami discs. I have adjusted the score. The original review is below. The food is fine, but what I find very annoying is that we recently ordered a vegetarian bami disc. According to the staff, this was not a problem. After checking which type they used (we saw the box when they were being restocked), it turns out to contain pork. I hope the staff will receive better training on this, because we really felt this was unacceptable.

The fries might seem a bit pricey at first, but once you get them, they're definitely worth it. Large portions, delicious fries. I personally don't like the milkshakes as much; they're very thin and milky, not much fruit flavor.

Tonight, I was craving some delicious fries again. We were there at 8 p.m., and a few people were still eating fries in their cars outside. We went in to order something, and were told, without hesitation, that the fryer was already off and we couldn't order anything else. I told them they said online that they were open until 8:30 p.m. The man behind the counter said, "If it's quiet, we'll close earlier." But the people outside in their cars were still eating fries, so the fryer wouldn't be off for that long. Unfortunately, after so many years, I won't be getting any more fries from this chip shop.

Third time's the charm. 1- Frikandel special vertically in the bag... all the sauce and onions were at the bottom. 2- Fries with cold stew and fries. 3- Hogweed satay. Unfortunately, they replaced the satay with some kind of curry sauce. We returned each time with our complaint and were given a discount or free stew, but now this time with the Hogweed. We'll just have to get our fries somewhere else. Such a shame.

Delicious fries and excellent sauces. The snacks weren't quite as well-cooked. But all in all, it's a great snack bar, or Fritessalon as they call it. Oh yeah, and you can now pay by card! That wasn't possible about 10 years ago.

They used to be high on the AD list of best cafeterias. Little remains of that. Ate there again for the first time in several years. Neither the price nor the quality made it worth the special drive. The fries were refried in one portion, resulting in several hard pieces. What a shame!

Lovely spot on the edge of the woods. You can sit outside at picnic tables. The food was delicious. It's a shame it took an hour and 15 minutes from the time we joined the line until we received our order. They don't have the space to improve the flow.

Unfortunately we had to wait 55 minutes for 2 lukewarm cups of coffee. The third person we had with us got his milkshake right away. Unsociable, we couldn't even have a drink together. Never again.

Not normal prices. 32 euros for 3 small cones of fries, frikandel special, 2 frikandels and a Belgian satay of €5 without satay. Lady was not nice at all when I asked where the satay sauce is. Pay 1.50 extra! Never again.

Good fries with mayo, take the medium and you get it in a cone that you can place upright in the holes in the table and tray. In addition, the forest is lovely to take a walk in after dinner. Cozy, relaxed environment, absolutely worth a visit. For both young and old. Fun for the kids, they can build huts with the branches. While you sit comfortably on the benches and snack on some fries. Croquette sandwiches are also delicious and well fried and crispy.

The service is terrible. I had to wait 25 minutes for a peanut sauce fries. Then got half a tablespoon of peanut sauce. I politely ask if I can please have some more and get a measly bit of sauce. I ask was this all? I am completely ignored and there is no communication or something like that. They don't know customer friendliness! It's not what it used to be unfortunately.

The location is wonderful on the edge of the Liesbosch. In the summer you can enjoy walking here. The fries, snacks and milkshakes always taste good. Portions are fine. Due to changes in legislation, cones have been introduced, but I am personally not a fan of this. However, you can still get a container for an additional charge. We always have to drive about 10 minutes to get to the chip shop, but it is definitely worth it!
