Cafetaria Tang in Wijk 06 Binnenstad

I waited an hour and twenty minutes (!) for my order. I understand it can get busy sometimes, but this is ridiculous. Never again.

Great snack bar. Good fries, a huge selection, and always ready quickly with friendly service.

This snack bar is unfairly rated 4 stars. By far the best fries in Utrecht city center.

Disclaimer I’m a tourist. Food is really good. Fries are very tasty. Owner is no bs and it’s very cheap. Owner speaks no English, which adds to the “authenticity”. At least I’m sold that I’m eating truly local everyday food. Honestly, if I wanted waitresses with perfect English, serving me avocado toast and organic salad I would have just stayed home. I’m really not sure why this hasn’t received a higher rating and why everyone is flocking to the touristy spots.

You'd think every snack bar tastes pretty much the same, but I honestly think this one is the best! I love cycling to this snack bar just to get something. The prices are good, and the people are friendly. Highly recommended!!

Unfortunately, this is the neighborhood snack bar, but certainly not the best. In fact, it's the worst. Ordering in advance is pointless. When you arrive at the designated time, you're always told it will be another 5 minutes, but you still have to wait 20 minutes. The service is grumpy and slow. You feel like you're bothering them rather than being welcomed. Moreover, I've received fries several times that were soggy and not crispy, so the food isn't great either. Such a shame!

The food was excellent, the service was friendly. There was plenty of sauce, which I was happy with. Everything was neatly served on a plate.

The delicious fresh fries from before have unfortunately been exchanged for frozen fries that are not tasty. There are still fresh fries on the menu and the price is the same. This is really saving on the wrong things. Shame

I think they have the best fries that you can get from a snackshop. The people working there are friendly as well. Good place to get fries

In the drop-down menu to select how long it took, the maximum time is 90 minutes. In reality it took much longer (more than 2 hours). The box with “food” was half open and the sauce and fries were all over the cardboard bag. Never again

Today we went to get fries, the woman behind the counter was cleaning her teeth with a toothpick and then she coughed into her hands a few more times before serving the fries without washing her hands. Really very dirty, her appetite quickly disappeared, then she stands at the back of the store for a while and spits into a trash can or something. All in all, it leaves a lot to be desired in terms of hygiene.

Ordered and paid for food today, I received an email that it will be ready at 4:50 PM, I went there, it is closed even though it says it is open from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, well, no, no food and I have lost my money. I really think I will go back to get my money back. to pick up and don't order anything anymore, you can't call or email anything at all

Real fresh fries peeled and that difference is big. Nice hard working people in empty yard and surroundings only from factory, taste top for yourself ☺️

Worst chicken sandwich I've ever eaten. It was made quickly, but it wasn't very difficult when you look at the sandwich.

The shawarma sandwich contains much less meat than in the image. Not enough for lunch.

It helped me tremendously. I had placed a nice large order for a surprise that I couldn't attend myself. It was very nice that they thought about the possibilities. It was delivered promptly at the agreed time by a very friendly man who also gave me an app when it was delivered. I am more than satisfied and the 5 stars are well deserved.

Nice snackbar with tasty enough chips and other usual snacks you'd expect from a snackbar. Food is served quickly by friendly staff. The shoarma broodje is small for the price and doesn't come with any extras (so just shoarma with a squirt of mayo on a small roll), but the portions of chips are a decent size. There's not much seating inside (none outside) so you quickly get elbows in your ribs if there are more than a few people inside.

Let's start with service, nice guy behind the counter, cheerful and very helpful. He gave us time to think about the order without making us feel rushed. The fries came very quickly, compliments for that. We walked for 10 minutes before sitting down by the water with our refreshments. The fries were still very warm at the time. This is also not in a cone, +1 for that anyway. About the fries: first of all, these fries are homemade and very fresh, again +1. A crispy outside with a soft inside. However, we were less satisfied with the sauce. The outings were absent during the war, this is -1 anyway. The ratio of mayo to satay sauce was also very poor. The satay sauce was a bit bitter (we guess mora). Enjoyed it immensely, I definitely recommend this place.

The decor is sparse, but the fries are exceptionally tasty and upon inquiry in the morning it turns out to be handmade, really very tasty.
