We bought a pita bowl, a Greek salad, and a spinach pie to take home. Unfortunately, the quality was disappointing: The tomatoes in the salad were no longer fresh, and some were even slightly rancid. Furthermore, the red onions, which are a must for a classic Greek salad, were missing. The pita was also very greasy.

You get a pita with gyros and bone pieces in a container, and then they think it's worth €14.50!?! The meat and the pita taste bad, and the previous reviews about the service are justified. Don't do this to yourself.

The meat is tasty and authentic but everything else isn’t. They add lettuce, no tomato and the tzatziki doesn’t have flavour. The halloumi bowl was half the portion of the meat portion but the same price

Very tasty and filling food. I don't understand the people who complain. It's true that at first it looks a bit disorganized and dirty, especially because it's small, but then you see where they cook and it's very clean. Now, regarding the food, it's very tasty and quite filling. The price seems good, and I highly recommend it. As I said, the first impression is the only thing, but I'm glad I didn't leave. Oh, and it seems the owner is the same as the one from the restaurant across the street, and he let us sit at his tables and chairs, so the experience was very good.

Ridiculous prices. €14.50 for a pita bowl? Just a few minutes ago, you paid €7 for a pita bread.

The food was okay, but the service was really bad. The waiter, according to him, was alone and on his cell phone upstairs. The food arrived late, and some of it was cold. We paid €170 for three people, and we didn't even get a bottle of wine. Much better food for less money. For that price, I would have expected much more, expensive location notwithstanding. It's a miracle the place isn't closed yet. Sorry, I can't recommend it.

The worst experience in a "Greek" restaurant! We ordered a bowl of chicken gyros and inside the meat there were forgotten bones and uncooked skins. The quality of the food was low. The service was below average and as for the way the orders were prepared, unacceptable!!!!! The person who prepared the food put the cooked ingredients in the bowl with his hands without gloves and the same person then took our order and gave us the bowl of food and all this without wiping his hands! I would not try it again

The takeaway belongs to the Greek restaurant across the street. We tried both, and the snack bar is our clear favorite! Super tasty, super fast, and super filling!

The lamb chops were super delicious. I was wondering how I could eat them without a knife and fork. However, the lamb chops were so tender that I didn’t even need any tools to cut them. The meat was also very fresh and sweet.

The best & biggest Gyro in a bowl! So delicious and so much pork! Really great value for money. Very friendly staff & told us to sit at the restaurant table opposite to eat our Gyros. Highly recommend!

I had gyros here recently and unfortunately didn't enjoy the food. What made the experience worse was the customer service. The employee I interacted with seemed more focused on making money than actually helping customers and came off as rude. Disappointing overall.

Delicious Greek. A bit on the pricey side, but you really get what you pay for! If you are in the mood for delicious, authentic Greek, you have come to the right place in Utrecht.

An awful experience in both the service and the transparency of the employees. They were not able to explain the ingredients of the products by hiding the amount of the portions and the fries (which were included but they said no in order to take a portion on top of that). Beyond that, they were extremely rude and ironic in their replies which made us leaving with very bad feelings. Never again there.

Gigantic portion of the chicken gyros. I think the meat is a bit too salty. I like that there are some roasted vegetables inside. Portion wise it is unbeatable. The owner (?) is cooking at the door and invite people to taste the food. I tasted the sausage, spring roll (with roasted onion and paprika fillings, I think), and sweet custard pastry. I like the spring roll. Nice location just in front of the dom tower.

I had the pita giros pork bowl, omg sooooo good! Price is 13,5 which is worth it. They have tables and Seats that you can use and a toilet.

The dirtiest food I have seen the food exposed to the sun we ordered round pita the round was reheated, all the oil was placed in the bowl with the hands on top flying flies like that in India you don't do that I don't recommend 😡😡

Witnessed racist stereotyping by the staff member to a prospective Chinese client from the UK, telling her the food has Chinese chicken. Do not go to this place! When confronting the staff that this behaviour is unacceptable, they became aggressive.

Delicious gyros, super fast and friendly. Mario sandwich is really great. But this is also worth a stop. In terms of price, it's not too bad, you really get a lot.

I had a chicken gyros take away and was pleasantly surprised! The meat was delicious and the portion decent. A bit pricey (14€) but worth it, they serve quickly.

The man who helped me was very rude. He didn't feel like it at all and not an ounce of hospitality. Why do you have a Gyros business if you treat your customers like shit? He looked at me angrily because I wanted to order something?? And then also 12.50 questions. What bastards. Moreover, it is unsanitary indoors and the risk of poisoning is high. Excellent little street food restaurant. The takeaway gyros are very good.

Quite nice place. Price maybe a bit on the expensive size (I live in Rotterdam that would have cost half the price!). The meat was a bit old. The people serving could smile a bit. The bread was very good! Which made me want only the bread. Comes a lot so you will feel full!

Afgelopen weekend hier een pita gyros gehaald: wat een teleurstelling! Het is een flauw aftreksel van de Griekse pita giros met veel slecht gekruid vlees en nauwelijks salade geserveerd in een bowl. Waarvoor je ook nog eens 12 piek moet neertellen!!

Pita vega mix is ​​tasty in itself, but it's a shame that they put so much lettuce and random fried things on it (like a mini spring roll?). The falafel is also not traditional, it is a kind of soft vegetable balls. The pita itself and the halloumi, grilled vegetables and tzatziki are tasty. Quite pricey (12.50).

After a year that I left Greece, I found this wonderful place in The Netherlands… it felt like home 😍

We had a spinach feta pie there once and it was decent, just a bit too salty for my taste. Last evening when we were walking by, my mum craved one, I bought it for her. The first time we were there, it was peak after-noon and the second time it was later in the evening, so I understand that the food quality can't be the same. But the second time, they not only laughed in my face that I paid by card(??) but the pie was burnt and cold at the same time. My mum got a corner piece, so a lot of it was burnt and couldn't be eaten. I'm happy to pay a higher price for good food, but this was of very bad quality.

I got two take away burek (puff pastry dish) in 'Dimitri Petit' (Servetstraat 4, Utrecht) on a Saturday afternoon in October 2024. What was asked here for burek is absurd. Prices are not clearly stated, and after pointing to two burek in the display case I paid 12 euros. That's 6 euros each; way too expensive! I don't think it's entirely fair how the payment went. I feel pretty screwed with the seller's payment trick. I was not told the price, not even at checkout, I was shown the price on my PIN receipt. Strange practice and not transparent. The quality is not bad, but for that amount you expect more. Tourists: be warned, ask the price in advance and don't be surprised! Tip: For better burek, walk to Kanaalstraat or Amsterdamstraat, where you get excellent quality for less than half the price.

Mientras visitábamos Utrecht en agosto de 2024 estábamos pensando en un almuerzo rápido, cuando pasamos por este lugar. Había un buen olor viniendo del interior. Seleccionamos el cuenco de Pita para 12. 50 euros persona con pollo. Honestamente las porciones eran generosas, pero la carne era muy muy grasienta y el pan espeso y no fresco.

I ate here for the first time 10 years ago. Back then, the food was good (taste and portion size) / price. Stayed like that for many years. Today, I had the chance to go by them again (after about 2 years), and was very disappointed. Food was covered in a taste of old oil, and the prices were absurd. Sorry to see another good place going bad.

During and just after corona i had visited this take away place many times and enjoyed their gyro. For me this time was not more than a 3-star place. A piece of spinach feta borek and gyros for one person costs 18,5 euro. Prices are not crazy but slightly more than you'd expect. Feels somewhat touristic than authentic right now.

felt uncomfortable for 2 days after food eating here. My boyfriend's belly just keep going soaring non-stop. We thought we were asking more information but actually we already finished ordering. Don't know what happened exactly.

If you like to spend the night in agony due to food poisoning, this is your place. If you like pushy waiters, this is also fit for you. Pls avoid unless you have an iron stomach.

The people are friendly. However, we had no idea what we were ordering. No clue. It was not at all what we expected. It tasted good. Very filling. My suggestion is to have pictures accompany the menu so customers aren't surprised with their order.

Most worthless gyros I've ever had in the Netherlands. A few years ago it was still possible here. The prices are way too expensive, you pay 12.50 Euro for 1 pita gyros which you get in a stupid cardboard container and which is not edible. Very disappointed…

Very unfriendly, way too expensive Brown lettuce at the bottom of a container with a ready-made pita and some fried lumpy pieces of fatty meat on a baking tray. And that for 12.50, an absurd price. Staff extremely unfriendly, don't ask what or how you want the pita, closed 20 minutes before closing time.

Great pitas, gyro, tzaziki and people who love to make food are running it. What greek person would EVER put green beans an zucchini on their pita gyros though.

Jammer, het vlees bevat veel vet (2e keus?), veel verkoolde stukken vlees, groenten (o.a. courgette groot gesneden) waardoor er minder Giros krijgt. Ik was verbaasd van de prijs van €12,50, zéér hoog geprijst..!

Beware they're cheaters! I ended up paying Eur 15 for 2 spinach feta pies that were lying outside. They pretended to not understand English nor Dutch. The man then hurried me up to order. In the final order he threw in things that I just inquired about and didn't order. He also refused to show me the amount on the PIN machine when I needed to pay. My fault too, I should have insisted on seeing it . Anyways I stood there for so long so just wanted to get some food and go away from this place. Note they also heavily DISCRIMINATE - if you speak Greek to them they give you things from inside the shop, otherwise you'll get something lying outside on the street. The pies didn't taste great either. Not recommended!

Got a meat lovers gyro bowl for 13 euros They have a pot of sausages and veggies stewing outside the shop that I got to sample - Loved that! They didn't really understand English, so I couldn't navigate the menu very well.

Got fries giros. Fries were a big limp bite, tzatziki sauce was very thin and very bland and the giros were nothing to write home about, and you can also pay €12.50 for this. In short: ignore it and walk a little further to the El Greco snack bar on the Ganzenmarkt. There you can eat delicious giros and pay half of what you have to pay here and they are very friendly. Which was not the case here either.

The best pita I have ever had. Also the ricotta and scpinach pie was amazing. Quick and you can sit down at the front tablea next to it so you have space to enjoy it.

We were there for lunch and had a pita with chicken. All three friends had food poisoning the day after. The other two friends who ate a vegi pita had nothing. therefore the food poisoning must have come from the chicken.

The gyro looked delicious. Everyone who ordered the gyros with chicken got food poisoning the day after, which also ended up in the hospital for a friend. The chicken looks very cheap and we were vomiting, had diarrhea and a fever.

My most favorite lunch snack. I occasionally travel to Utrecht specifically for this, or when I walk from Bilthoven to Utrecht this is my goal. The gyros sandwich is heavenly. It costs a bit, but then you also have something at the foot of the Dom Tower. You can sit on the terrace across the street. I think it's from the same owner, but I'm not sure.

Pita Gyros 10,- at the time of writing. Fast food at a reasonable price just below the Dom tower. Scenery is always great. You can ask for extra Tzaziki if you want more, they do not serve that much when you first take it out.

We asked a random thuisbezorgd man for the best gyros in town and he said «just go right and right and right and you will get there». AND he was damn right! It was def not gyr-oss!! The best greek I’ve ever had in my mouth!

We went with my friends to the center of Utrecht and we came across this place, the location and the price are great, menu €12.50 potatoes, vegetables and a pita with meat (of your preference). The only problem is that it is only for takeaway, but if it's a nice day you can eat next to the canal. A 10/10, recommended.
