Delicious sandwich, but a bit expensive

The spanakopita was delicious. Quite pricey, though, but then again, the location is naturally in a very touristy spot. The friendliness and hygiene of the male staff leave nothing to be desired. The older man grabbed the pieces of meat you were allowed to taste with his bare fingers and threw them back into the large pan where the dish was cooking. Yuck!

A must go place if your coming to Utercht, the best food you will have while your here with the best most welcoming and accommodating staff you’ll meet! I got the chicken shawarma bowl which came with some fries, bread and some salad and the best part is the tzatziki sauce and they give you so much food that it’s basically like two meals for a very affordable price! I came back again and got the mixed meat sausage That they had cooking in the front that they let you try And that’s by far the best thing you can get here it is so amazing and they give you extra tzatziki and refill anything you need! Absolutely amazing 1000/10

Was dry and chicken wasn’t soft, it was overcooked. For 13.50 euros it doesn’t worth.

asked for gyros got dryass meat with cheap Turkish supermarket baguette. I asked I order gyros not baguette sandwich the guy insisting on that's gyros..... Worst food in Ultrech. Only good thing is that the sauce ain't bad. Well oh well here goes my 13.5€

A great find! The appearance might not appeal to everyone, but the food was delicious. We were seated on the terrace of the restaurant across the street. I didn't appreciate being charged before the food arrived, but the flavor more than made up for it. The mixed grill and the vegetables with falafel were excellent. Highly recommended.

Really some of the best greek food I have ever tried in this city! They first roast the chicken on the Doner skewer, cut large chunks off it, and then finally fry it separately on the girdle. Then finally they place the bread, then the veggies and finally this chicken on top of it all. The juices from the chicken literally flow through the veggies and finally into the bread which makes the bread SO MUCH MORE TASTIER!! This used to be one of my favourite Sunday lunch places! I would highly recommend this place even if you are looking for something slightly different from traditional shawarma and doner.

Great gyros spot with a quaint and cute storefront. Here a gyros wrap will set you back 12.5 € (+1 euro if you take a pita bowl), but worry not as it is quite filling. The meat had a nice char and was well seasoned, you could really feel the grilled veggies and the freshness of the ingredients used. The filling to sauce ratio was also quite good as both complimented each other really well. They also sell other Greek inspired bites like baklava. The location is great, situated in Utrecht's centre, near the canals and the cathedral, and therefore giving you options as to where to delight in this delicious gyros. Service was extremely rapid, we only had to wait a minute or so, which is a plus.

The owners and manager are the nastiest people in Utrecht. They tread customers and staff horribly. Food is so bad and overpriced. Don’t waste your time going here.

Looks aren't everything. 13.5 for a bowl of chicken and pita bread is definitely too much. I'd describe the taste as like chicken from a Chinese restaurant with cabbage and pork chops drizzled with tzatziki sauce. It's super average.

Best food I had in Utrecht! Went for the spinach feta pie which is great, when I saw a wonderful stew cooking in a pot. The place served it in a bowl, with tzatziki, pita bread and potatoes on the side. The stew was flavorful, the meat was wonderfully tender, the tzatziki was fresh and the service was fast and kind. All this at a very affordable price. Keep up the great job!

Good gyros, worst customer sevice.

The food itself was fine, a little too oily. Unfortunately, both me and my friend found a piece of hair in our food, which definitely ruined our appetite..

It was delicious! Takeaway souvlaki, pita, tzatziki, and puff pastry with feta and spinach. Warmed it up at home because we had already eaten. But I definitely wanted to try this Greek place and it was certainly worth it! Top-notch and super friendly too!

Terrible. I ordered a pita gyros and a pita halloumi and had to pay 27 euros. How can that be justified? Maybe if the food were absolutely fantastic, but it certainly wasn't. My halloumi was barely cooked and my companion's pita gyros barely had any fries. Not much love here. See you never again :)

The service was terrible; we hadn't even finished eating before someone came with the bill. I also found the staff very unfriendly and got the impression they just wanted to get rid of us quickly. This was definitely the last time for us!

Not knowing where to eat in town, we decided to try this Greek place and its gyros, which looked absolutely delicious. We ordered and thoroughly enjoyed our meal: the portions were very generous and the service was quite fast. I would recommend it more as a good fast-food option for a quick bite.

They don't respect hygiene measures.

I had a gyro pita roll. I live in Utrecht and walk past this place so often but never ate anything. The man standing outside to help customers was downright rude. The sandwich was okay, but nothing special. My biggest drawback was the tzatziki at the bottom. So, you start with the sandwich without sauce and then you just eat it with sauce. I didn't really like the tzatziki. The portion is large, but then again, you pay €12.50 for this sandwich. Phew... and then you have to eat it standing up. It was fun to try, but I wouldn't go back.

Strolling past one evening after the pub and was pondering some poor takeaway and stumbled upon this place. Amazing vegi wrap, the bread was beautiful and filling cooked to perfection. Not the cheapest, but it is right in the heart of the city and good stuff, worth every cent!

Great Greek street-food place in the old town of Utrecht, tucked into a beautiful little side street. There were quite a few people waiting, which already suggested the food would be good — and it really was. Portions are huge for a street-food spot, the prices are fair, and there are tables across the street where you can sit down. Perfect option when you’re exploring the city and just want something quick and delicious without going to a full restaurant.

Extremely rude service. The owner pointed fingers and laughed at me. When I got mad at him he offered me a 1 euro discount like it is a joke.

I've been coming here for years to get takeout food; it's so delicious and high-quality, totally worth the money. As a vegetarian, I'm also in good hands. You never have to wait. I would definitely recommend getting takeout! :)

Very good falafel and halloumi bowls. They come with very good pita and grilled aubergines. The beans give a nice touch ad well. A bit expensive however.

We bought a pita bowl, a Greek salad, and a spinach pie to take home. Unfortunately, the quality was disappointing: The tomatoes in the salad were no longer fresh, and some were even slightly rancid. Furthermore, the red onions, which are a must for a classic Greek salad, were missing. The pita was also very greasy.

You get a pita with gyros and bone pieces in a container, and then they think it's worth €14.50!?! The meat and the pita taste bad, and the previous reviews about the service are justified. Don't do this to yourself.

The meat is tasty and authentic but everything else isn’t. They add lettuce, no tomato and the tzatziki doesn’t have flavour. The halloumi bowl was half the portion of the meat portion but the same price

Very tasty and filling food. I don't understand the people who complain. It's true that at first it looks a bit disorganized and dirty, especially because it's small, but then you see where they cook and it's very clean. Now, regarding the food, it's very tasty and quite filling. The price seems good, and I highly recommend it. As I said, the first impression is the only thing, but I'm glad I didn't leave. Oh, and it seems the owner is the same as the one from the restaurant across the street, and he let us sit at his tables and chairs, so the experience was very good.

The food was okay, but the service was really bad. The waiter, according to him, was alone and on his cell phone upstairs. The food arrived late, and some of it was cold. We paid €170 for three people, and we didn't even get a bottle of wine. Much better food for less money. For that price, I would have expected much more, expensive location notwithstanding. It's a miracle the place isn't closed yet. Sorry, I can't recommend it.

The worst experience in a "Greek" restaurant! We ordered a bowl of chicken gyros and inside the meat there were forgotten bones and uncooked skins. The quality of the food was low. The service was below average and as for the way the orders were prepared, unacceptable!!!!! The person who prepared the food put the cooked ingredients in the bowl with his hands without gloves and the same person then took our order and gave us the bowl of food and all this without wiping his hands! I would not try it again

The takeaway belongs to the Greek restaurant across the street. We tried both, and the snack bar is our clear favorite! Super tasty, super fast, and super filling!

The lamb chops were super delicious. I was wondering how I could eat them without a knife and fork. However, the lamb chops were so tender that I didn’t even need any tools to cut them. The meat was also very fresh and sweet.

The best & biggest Gyro in a bowl! So delicious and so much pork! Really great value for money. Very friendly staff & told us to sit at the restaurant table opposite to eat our Gyros. Highly recommend!

I had gyros here recently and unfortunately didn't enjoy the food. What made the experience worse was the customer service. The employee I interacted with seemed more focused on making money than actually helping customers and came off as rude. Disappointing overall.

Delicious Greek. A bit on the pricey side, but you really get what you pay for! If you are in the mood for delicious, authentic Greek, you have come to the right place in Utrecht.

An awful experience in both the service and the transparency of the employees. They were not able to explain the ingredients of the products by hiding the amount of the portions and the fries (which were included but they said no in order to take a portion on top of that). Beyond that, they were extremely rude and ironic in their replies which made us leaving with very bad feelings. Never again there.

Gigantic portion of the chicken gyros. I think the meat is a bit too salty. I like that there are some roasted vegetables inside. Portion wise it is unbeatable. The owner (?) is cooking at the door and invite people to taste the food. I tasted the sausage, spring roll (with roasted onion and paprika fillings, I think), and sweet custard pastry. I like the spring roll. Nice location just in front of the dom tower.

I had the pita giros pork bowl, omg sooooo good! Price is 13,5 which is worth it. They have tables and Seats that you can use and a toilet.

The dirtiest food I have seen the food exposed to the sun we ordered round pita the round was reheated, all the oil was placed in the bowl with the hands on top flying flies like that in India you don't do that I don't recommend 😡😡

Witnessed racist stereotyping by the staff member to a prospective Chinese client from the UK, telling her the food has Chinese chicken. Do not go to this place! When confronting the staff that this behaviour is unacceptable, they became aggressive.

Delicious gyros, super fast and friendly. Mario sandwich is really great. But this is also worth a stop. In terms of price, it's not too bad, you really get a lot.

I had a chicken gyros take away and was pleasantly surprised! The meat was delicious and the portion decent. A bit pricey (14€) but worth it, they serve quickly.

The man who helped me was very rude. He didn't feel like it at all and not an ounce of hospitality. Why do you have a Gyros business if you treat your customers like shit? He looked at me angrily because I wanted to order something?? And then also 12.50 questions. What bastards. Moreover, it is unsanitary indoors and the risk of poisoning is high. Quite nice place. Price maybe a bit on the expensive size (I live in Rotterdam that would have cost half the price!). The meat was a bit old. The people serving could smile a bit. The bread was very good! Which made me want only the bread. Comes a lot so you will feel full!

Afgelopen weekend hier een pita gyros gehaald: wat een teleurstelling! Het is een flauw aftreksel van de Griekse pita giros met veel slecht gekruid vlees en nauwelijks salade geserveerd in een bowl. Waarvoor je ook nog eens 12 piek moet neertellen!!

Pita vega mix is ​​tasty in itself, but it's a shame that they put so much lettuce and random fried things on it (like a mini spring roll?).
