Maybe i just wasn't that hungry but the giros pita just wasn't doing it for me , I ended up dirtying my clothes, and when paying cashier asked me if I made a payment after I made a payment making me check it in my bank app??

That Bifteki at Cafetaria Jan is delicious. Deliciously seasoned ground meat filled with feta and tomato. I've been coming here for 100 years, and I used to live around the corner, and they consistently deliver quality. The Giros and fries are also delicious!

I had fries and gyros, and they were delicious. I only saw later that they also had kapsalin gyros, and I think those would be even better, because there's a bit of freshness mixed in with the spice.

I've been coming there for 25 years and keep coming back 😃 Friendly staff. It can be very busy at some times. The gyro is always good. Often eat out, especially gyros, and this one surpasses all Gyros places. Tip. Order something in advance to take with you for tomorrow because it still tastes good.

To be honest, I slowly have the feeling that we are being tricked a bit by Jan. The prices are considerably higher than, for example, a good chip shop near Tienhoven. And the portions are also getting smaller. Today a "large" fries that turned out not to be much bigger than a normal one. I'm just not going to do it anymore.

We ordered by telephone. After another cafeteria (will remain nameless) suppressed our call... my friend was very pleased with his vegetable croquette. The rest was tasty too. More mustard next time. Will come again.

You're better off getting your gyros at Venus. How much this place has deteriorated in the past 10 years... if you used to order a king size you could eat from it for 2 days. Nowadays you get the same portion as a normal fries and gyros! And the sauce... now also costs a fortune.

Indeed the best gyros! Not just from Maarssen, but from the Netherlands, as far as I'm concerned (so far, anyway). I lived in Greece for fourteen years, and believe me, these gyros taste just as good and delicious as in Greece! Truly a piece of Greece in the Netherlands, in a beautiful location in Maarssen. I wish the Greek men good luck with their business, and hope to be able to eat gyros there again soon! And oh yes, the fries were tasty too 😂

Already been away from Maarssen for 22 years, but a visit to Cafeteria Jan has been a matter of course since the early 1990s. 'French fries giros' is something we always order and have never eaten anywhere better. We like to drive 1.5 hours ahead!

Can order in advance. Also this place has nice staff. And the food was of good quality. Highly recommended!!! Only it is difficult to park nearby.

Good food and quite a few options for a cafeteria. Sauce is a bit too expensive in my opinion. Furthermore, the food is always good. It helps if you call in advance, it saves us a lot of hassle and waiting. Especially nice in the cold winter months if you don't want to stay outside for long. The design is also very nice with a piece of wall with a large collection of refrigerator magnets.
