I just ordered a hot meat sandwich. I got a greasy bacon sandwich with a thin layer of satay sauce. The grease ran down my hands onto the plate. They don't know what a hot meat sandwich is here. The answer I got was that they wouldn't order meat for that single hot meat sandwich I ordered. So, to me, you're a bungler.

K got an Aperol Sprits splattered on my lap and onto my white pants. Poor apologies, we had to clean it up ourselves. No financial compensation. It looked like a cozy place otherwise, but the friendliness and service could be better.

We come here quite often and are never disappointed. In winter by the fireplace, in summer on the patio, or in spring/autumn under the radiant heater on the patio. The rosé is excellent, and the chicken strips and fries with peanut sauce are absolutely delicious. Add to that the attentive and fast service, and you get five stars. We keep coming back!

Everything is great, the staff is friendly. The food is good. Recommended. It's a pleasant place to sit on the market square.

Our favorite in loenen. Their fries are different and way better than regular fries. Also broodje warm vlees is something to try. This cafe is also popular with locals we noticed .. that's always a good sign. Dog friendly place on the terrace. Nice toilets and pick up point around the corner for to go and ice cream.

Afgelopen jaren met mooi weer regelmatig op dit terras gezeten. Nu in febr 2025 op een mooie zonnige zondag gingen we wederom ff zitten. Ik schrok van de kassabon! Een enorme prijsstijging tov afgelopen jaar, voor een paar simpele bitterballen met amper vlees! 9,25 voor 8 kleine balletjes. Veel te duur!!!! Hier gaan wij dus niet meer zitten. Bij het tafeltje naast mij gebeurde hetzelfde met een simpele salade en broodje. Horeca mensen dit moet je niet doen,….Verkeerd verdienmodel.

Helaas was de kipsaté niet doorgegaard, zodat zowel ik als een vriend de hele nacht op het toilet doorgebracht hebben. De friet was overigens wel heerlijk.

Ate here this afternoon: the satay with fries were very tasty. Not sparing with satay sauce and the fries were crispy but not too hard. Remarkably delicious! We were served by a friendly attentive lady. We sat outside on the terrace. Match the style of the chairs with the attractive interior design. Only they were made of plastic which is not my preference, but that is personal. All-in-all worth coming back.

Today, July 16, 2024, I drank 2 cappuccinos on the cozy terrace. Unfortunately I was charged Euro 11.85. That's quite expensive! Afterwards we thought it was a strange amount because it could not be divided by two. It may have cost extra to sit on the outside terrace. In any case, an unpleasant surprise. FOLLOW-UP: The owner has contacted us regarding this review. You were incorrectly charged for 3 cappuccinos. The overpaid amount has been deposited into my account. Kudos for this service!!

Conveniently located with outdoor terrace. There is a bar area and a semi-chic sitting/dining/restaurant area. Nicely decorated for a snack bar. Service is friendly. Toilets neat and clean. Despite the nice decor, the feeling is missing. It feels a bit impersonal and that's a real shame because this place has everything to be a top destination in a great location.

Nice atmosphere, old style restaurant with many nice things to see. Staff very friendly. The chef came to the table to discuss what could be gluten-free. Super nice. The food was also very tasty.

Stopped mid point on a bike ride to try to find some lunch. This can prove difficult when on holiday and you don’t speak the language. We were greeted by a beautifully presented waiter who spoke perfect English. Led into the dining room and we were blown away. It was so beautiful, almost to beautiful to site in. I chose the crunchy chicken burger with frites and Satay sauce. Simply delicious but so much food. If you are nearby you must visit.

One of the nicest places to enjoy an informal meal at just the right price, in a beautiful town on the Vecht.

We arrive at our cycling group of 11 people on an almost empty terrace. Pay separately? We won't start there. Ok then we are all alone and we sit separately at a table. Well, as an exception, I would like to pay separately. Do you know how complicated this is? Anyway, 11 cups of coffee and capuchino are placed on the table and the lady is gone. What do you mean serve out? And that for €3.95 per cup What poor service!!

See other review. We were with a group. Rude server! We were allowed to distribute the drinks ourselves. Poor price/quality ratio.

The clerk became stressed when she saw our 11 members of the cycling club. It was not possible to pay separately. When we said that we would sit separately at a table, it was possible. The coffee was placed on a tray on the table and not served. It was probably not the girl's fault, but the management's fault. Will never come here again. It was like the fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel.

Remains a super fun concept, a pub as a snack bar or a snack bar as a pub.

Fantastic place. Combination of a brown pub, snack bar and a living room including fireplace. Also a lovely terrace. Affordable prices. Delicious, fresh and good food from (usually) Delft Blue tableware. Nice place for a quick bite, but also for an afternoon or evening to catch up with a snack and a drink. We have loved coming here for years!

Yes, the fries with sauce are okay but a bit overpriced. You are probably also paying for the ambiance and that in itself is okay, except for the smoke development from the fireplace pooooheeee. Check the flue.

Loenen surprise Today 11-11 I was with a group in Loenen aan de Vecht to get some wine and we felt like having a drink afterwards. We happened to walk into Hans and Frietje because we had already sat on their terrace in the summer and that was great! Once inside, the place exuded nostalgia and old-fashioned coziness. We were greeted kindly and chose a cozy spot inside. Because we had been there before, the choice of wine was quickly made and again the service was smooth and friendly. After the first wines I wanted more and the next order with something delicious. We went to try the fries. Now I've eaten quite a few fries in my life, but these "artisan" fries tasted really good! Each fries were crispy and soft on the inside. So delicious! As time went on, it became busier with locals and the conviviality and atmosphere also increased, turning Hans and Frietje into a cozy brown pub. The locals were incredibly friendly and relaxed. What a relief it is to sit in a village pub and not be looked out of the tent as the odd one out and strangers say hello to you kindly. With the fun, the appetite came around the corner again and, after a mixed appetizer, we also ordered the Angus Burger, Wagyu Wrap and Turkish Pizza special. We were also pleasantly surprised with this! The meat in the burger was wonderfully tender, the bun neatly toasted and not dried out. The meat/sauce ratio was also great! My dining companion who ordered the Angus wrap initially did not have high expectations of the wrap, but had to change his opinion after 1 bite. He loved it! And that from someone who is picky about food and also regularly eats at Hans and Frietje's neighbor across the street, Michelin star restaurant “Het Amsterdammertje”. Finally, the Turkish Pizza with Pulled Chicken and grated cheese. This one did not disappoint and was very tasty! Because it is not already filled with sauce while rolling up, the Turkish Pizza does not feel soggy or limp, despite the pulled chicken and cheese filling. The verdict is very tasty. What a nice place with good food and, more importantly, nice and friendly people!

Just got a hot meat sandwich. That was a bit disappointing. Expecting fricandeau, the warm ham is way too salty. And the satay sauce was very little. In addition, the fries were also way too salty. Too bad.

Ik heb onlangs de ongelooflijk lekkere frietjes geproefd bij Hans & Frietje in Loenen aan de Vecht! Deze plek verdient absoluut vijf sterren vanwege hun perfect gebakken frietjes en geweldige smaak. De frietjes waren knapperig van buiten en zacht van binnen, precies zoals ik het lekker vind. Ze waren vol van smaak en gemaakt van hoogwaardige aardappelen. De verscheidenheid aan sauzen en toppings maakte de ervaring nog beter. De service was vriendelijk en snel, en de sfeer was gezellig. Hans & Frietje is absoluut een must-visit voor iedereen die op zoek is naar de lekkerste frietjes. Ik kan niet wachten om terug te gaan en meer te proeven. Geweldig werk, Hans & Frietje!

fijn terras en lekkere koffie. binnen ziet het er fraai uit. beetje parijs belle epoque stijl wat je niet verwacht bij een snackbar😁.

Qua uitstraling krijgt deze tent een 9,,5 het ziet er heel leuk uit. Het eten vind ik een 6,5 waard. Het smaakt best maar het is ook erg aan de prijs..ik heb liever beter eten en minder goede entourage..
