Very good and pleasant service from a young lady with beautiful red hair and a young man on Sunday, July 12. The food was delicious. Cozy neighborhood, De Pijp.

We had a delicious meal. For the second time already. We ordered a bit of everything and everything was tasty. With the spicy pumpkin pizza as the favorite. The pasta is also very good. And the service was really top-notch too; that can really make or break the experience. One tip: some cushions or something similar on the chairs outside would be great.

The staff was extremely rude. If you are not local you will be treated differently.

I came there to join friends who were having a drink there. I asked if I could have a chair to join them, the lady looked at me with disdain and told me no. We had to stand up the 4 of us to see that a few minutes later she let others sit. It seems that this place doesn’t accept nice tourists that are just here to visit for a weekend.

Never had an experience that came close to this with a waitress, on top she insisted to remind us that she was « a manager here », not really a the right example in my opinion. Please remember that your customers are the foundation of your business. Making them feel unwelcome is simply unacceptable.

Great restaurant in the middle of De Pijp with delicious dishes to share and very friendly service. They also have a large and cozy terrace outside. Highly recommended!

We had a great time! The servers were really nice, we were a bit early on our reservation and they accommodated us perfectly. The food and drinks were also delicious, we shared some ham, a pizza and a desert. The pizza especially was amazing! The toilets being disco themed was also really fun and unexpected.

Such wonderful and helpful staff! We really enjoyed our pizza and starters! It was truly a lovely evening! We will be back for sure!

Wonderful recommendation - we loved it so much we ate here twice over our long weekend to Amsterdam - sitting on the terrace in the sunshine with a bottle of wine and good food - just perfect.

Loved the atmosphere and food. One of the dishes we ordered did not go through, probably due to miscommunication. When the bill came, we were pleasantly surprised to be told that the dessert we had ordered was on the house since our other dish got missed. Would recommend and visit again.

I’m a pizza aficionado*. Their pumpkin pizza topped with pureed pumpkin, oven/baked spicy tomatoes and cool, creamy burrata was wonderful. What a juxtaposotion of hot spiciness & cool creaminess. The crust was light & delightfully crispy. I’m told the chef uses a sourdough starter. The Elderflower Violet cocktail had me searching for a recipe to make at home. *professionally, I did marketing for one of US’ largest pizza chains that makes dough fresh daily; a billion $ privately-held Wisconsin Italian cheese company; and I live in one of America’s pizza capitols. Trust me, I KNOW good pizza!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A gem of an Italian spot We ordered the Paccheri al Pomodoro and the Piccante pizza, and both were absolutely outstanding. The paccheri was a standout — cooked to a perfect, authentic al dente that you rarely find outside of Italy. The roasted datterino sauce was rich and deeply flavoured, and the burrata mousse added a creamy, indulgent touch that balanced the tomato crumble beautifully. Simple ingredients done with real care and skill. The Piccante pizza was everything you’d want — a beautifully blistered base topped with buffalo mozzarella, punchy tomato sauce, and spicy salami that had just the right amount of heat. Classic, confident, and utterly satisfying. The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed — exactly the kind of place you want to linger over a long meal. And the service was fabulous from start to finish; attentive without being overbearing. Will absolutely be back to work through the rest of the menu. Highly recommend!

Hands down the best food we had in Amsterdam all weekend! Super friendly staff who make sure you have everything you need. I’d highly recommend the focaccia with olive oil, the leek starter! Id recommend booking, especially if you’re there on a weekend! (and yes, their toilets are super funky)

Nice neighborhood restaurant with cool atmosphere. The pizza was good (I forget the name but it was basically a pepperoni pizza). And the drink was good, spicy Paloma. I was sat by a wall at the bar presumably so others could sit at the bar. No one else sat at the bar so it was hard to chat with anyone. And the bartenders don’t really check on you. So I spent the entire time texting with my daughter. :) Not a bad way to pass the time, but seating close to others would have made the experience nicer at the bar.

Absolutely wonderful! Both blonde waitresses were incredibly kind and super efficient ,oh my lord I adore them! The Italian “buco veneto” (whose name I can’t quite remember) often came to our table to explain the dishes, which was such a nice touch. Everything was perfect, from the service to the atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Super nice atmosphere with soft lighting and small tables that make it feel intimate and relaxed. I went with a friend and we had a really good evening. Great food, friendly energy, and cool people around. Definitely a place I want to return to.

I grabbed a seat at the bar for a solo dinner and it was such a treat. The pasta was incredible and the cookie for dessert absolutely delivered. Every detail felt dialed in, from the food to the service to the overall vibe. It was warm, cozy, and exactly what you want on a winter evening. And somehow even the bathrooms are memorable. Do not skip them.

Literally came back 2 nights in a row! Loved this restaurant,the vibe, the music and the food was just delicious. But what made the difference was Michele the bartender! Caffè Pico is a place that charms you from the moment you arrive. The atmosphere is welcoming and modern, perfect for working for a while or meeting up with friends. The coffee is truly top-notch, and the pastries are an absolute must-try. The staff is incredibly attentive and makes the experience feel personal and well-cared for. A spot I would definitely return to. I give it 5 stars.

They forgot to cook food for one of the 6 guests, which he had when the rest of us were finished. However, they ended up not paying for his food.

I had pasta and my colleagues had pizza. Everything was tasty. The only problem was that everyones dish came at a different time, which wasn’t ideal. It was also difficult to reach to waiter, and that’s my only criticism. Other than that amazing experience. Funky wc, you have to see it as well :))

We had a 10/10 time here and it was such a beautiful dining experience. We ordered the tempura zucchini, roasted leek, spicy pumpkin nduja pizza & the paccheri al pomodoro. It was literally perfect!!! We finished our meal with amaretto/whiskey sours which were sensational and so delicious! We had montepulciano with our meal which is our favourite and it was also perfect! We both agreed we would happily re-order everything! The atmosphere was incredibly warm and pleasant (on a Sunday night too), but the staff really stood out to us! Everyone was on such a good and positive vibe; we were served by the lovely Jens who was incredibly accommodating and cheerful! Everyone from the barman to the chefs we had a brief chat with (we poked our heads in to say thank you) were so lovely and there was a noticeable energy of being at ease while doing a fantastic job, which felt really special!! A big thank you to everyone at Caffè Pico!!! We are very grateful & we will absolutely return!!

What an amazing restaurant - after four years living in Amsterdam this is my go to for good food, drinks and vibes. A special shoutout to the manager, Niels, for being incredibly attentive and kind! I highly recommend.

Excellent home cooking, I recommend!

Food was good, starters were interesting and delish, the pizza was also really good. Pasta was ok. Service was indifferent, waitresses are giving just ok service. Recommend to stop for pizza and drinks, eat inside, the tables outside are depressing it feels like eating outside of a späti in Berlin. Price is a bit much but seems to be the standard in Amsterdam. Would go back for sure.

We enjoyed a particularly delicious and very pleasant lunch at Pico with 11 friends. We shared the surprising creations with each other and no one was left wanting. A nice selection of bubbles and wines complemented the whole. The service was professional and very friendly. An absolute must!

Loved the chefs toast with sardines! Both the Arancini and Octopus missed a bit of ‘zang’ something spicy or sour to stand out. The pizza was amazing and so fresh, as well as the pasta. Would recommend this so much!

the zucchini flower and the arancini were very nice, the pesto asparagus can be passed (all you could taste was pesto). pizza was nice!

One of the young waitresses was clearly there for her friends. She was being beyond rude to try to impress her friends. There is a time and a place. We also asked her for her name for this review and she gave us a fake name @frederique. Was one of the young blonde colleague working on Friday night 29th of June @11:00 pm. Horrible service would not recommend!!!

Great food!! Highly recco if you are in the neighborhood. For four people, we shared a bunch of small plates and everything was so good. Try the tiramisu cookie - we ordered 3 because they were so so good.

Caffè Pico is a real gem. We absolutely loved our meal here. The 'Rita pizza was a standout, perfectly cooked with delicious flavors. And the lemon tart was the ideal sweet finish – tangy and awesome. Beyond the fantastic food, the staff members were very nice, providing friendly and efficient service that made the experience even better. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

The food was delicious. But the service was quite unpleasant, especially the hostess and a brunette waitress.

The food is good, the prices are reasonable for a place in De Pijp. However, it is definitely not for groups bigger than 4. We were 6, and we were sat at a very small round table, which normally should be for 2, max 3 people. When we all ordered pizzas, there was no space to put the plates on the table. We barely fit after we removed all the water glasses, water bottle, the candle, and the wine bottle from the table, and because 1 person was eating a different dish with a smaller plate. I just wish they hadn’t let us book that date & time if they didn’t have a table for 6 available. Other than this, the pizzas & wine was good.

Cafe Pico is a great spot to sit and relax, with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu is decent, offering a good variety of options. Unfortunately, the food was served cold and felt overpriced for what you get. After mentioning the cold pizza, we did receive a free drink as compensation, which was appreciated. Thanks

The food is very nice, although as others have noted, the small portions mean overall it’s not a great price/value ratio. Vibe wise, it’s very cosy and trendy, though pretty loud for people who care about that sort of thing. The service is classic Amsterdam - slightly rude and inattentive. We waited for 10 minutes just to be offered drinks, and then were only asked if we wanted anything else 7 minutes before the end of our time slot, which was weird since if we had said yes we would have been told there wasn’t time. Lastly, I think it’s absurd in 2025 not to at least offer gluten free bread and pasta, even if you can’t guarantee it’s safe for celiacs. This is such a weird Amsterdam thing that I experience nowhere else.

The dimly lit space creates a lively and buzzing atmosphere, but the layout is far from comfortable. Tables are so tightly packed that moving around is an ordeal—expect some awkward maneuvering if you need to leave your seat for any reason. The concept is centered around sharing dishes, which means smaller portions and higher prices. This means you’ll need to order multiple dishes to feel satisfied. Of the dishes we tried, the starters stood out as more flavorful and cohesive compared to the mains. However, none of the dishes were particularly memorable, leaving us feeling like the menu fell short of its hype. Unfortunately, what really soured our experience was the service. Reservations are strictly limited to two hours, which we understand, but the handling of this policy was rude and dismissive. Our reservation was from 18:30 to 20:30, and at 20:07, while we were still reviewing the menu for dessert, a waiter approached us and told us we had to leave because the next reservation for the table had arrived. This was especially frustrating because just a minute earlier, another waiter had taken an order for another round of drinks! To make matters worse, we were told dessert was no longer an option unless we wanted to eat it outside. We left feeling rushed and undervalued as customers, which is a shame given the potential this place has. Trendy atmosphere and decent starters aside, the lack of hospitality and high prices make it hard to justify a return visit.

We visited here in the summer. It was a very good experience. The atmosphere is very enjoyable. I recommend to order cocktails. Reservation is required as it is a small place.

Too good, too beautiful, my type of restaurant in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, I'm such a fan. We ate really well in a candlelit place, it was fantastic. Pizzas that change and are very good. Very cool toilet

Don't go here. Recently made a reservation at this tent for dinner. Upon entering we are placed at the bar between 2 other couples with very little room to move. We didn't immediately know what we wanted to order, so we needed some time to look at the menu, then we were asked several times if we wanted to order something. This gave us the feeling that they wanted us out as quickly as possible for the next reservations. The man with the manbun in particular is very unfriendly and pushy. Because you sit so close to the bar, you get to experience everything in terms of communication between the staff, which was not very friendly, so we could not fully enjoy our evening. Wine was tasty, but the pizza was very limp and thin. Furthermore, it is cozy and cozy, but we do advise you to make an explicit reservation for a table. We won't be going here again...

Lots of show and tasty food, really very small portions and disgusting service! 3 people received their main course, the last one had to wait 20 minutes... asked several times but the message was no to wait! Sad…

Place has a nice appearance and good location, but unfortunately the service was rude and clumsy to deal with (small young girl with dark hair) so I am not inclined to come back. Perhaps it was due to the inexperience of the staff, but you would hope that there would be a manager who could provide support in this regard to prevent guests from being unnecessarily irritated.

I've never done a bad review before but this place was particularly bad... We were there approx 20 minutes before they took our drinks/food order. Our drinks arrived quickly after that but our starters maybe another 20 minutes later.. The starters were tasty to be fair.. Unfortunately the main course arrived over an hour later and not at the same time- I had finished mine before my partners food arrived! The pasta mains looked good but tasted average.. Other people in the restaurant received there food all in good time with a good service so unfortunately for some reason I think it was just our unlucky day there!.. - after mentioning the bad service the restaurant took one drink off the bill which we thought was a joke considering we had been there over 2 hours and received 1 drink,a starter and a main each

Just terrible. We had to wait for a table even though we made a reservation. One of the waiters was clearly ignoring us the whole time. And 20 euros for a dish with 4, literally FOUR cappellettis is unacceptable. Never again.

Absolutely amazing! The food was great! Vibes are good, staff is sweet! Everything seems like a 8/10 and is is! I would say 7/10 BUT! The toilets are amazing! Stylish, clean, cool and good vibes! The fried zucchini with ricotta and spicy pumpkin pizza are really to die for!! And you can sit outside.

The service was really bad. They did not bring the meals together and forgot a lot of dishes. The service was inattentive. Though we were excited to go for my birthday, I would not recommend it. Unfortunately disappointing for the hype around this place.
