Addictively delicious and what friendly people work there!

A nice restaurant in the area to grab a bite. The atmosphere is lively and the location is great if you’re exploring the area. I had a burger, which was a bit overcooked for my taste, but still not bad overall. A solid option for a casual meal.

The fries were very good, both sweet potato and regular. The pulled beef sandwich was amazing too. And the hamburgers were very good.

I love me some Cannibale Royal du Nord. Especially at the start of the new year. Spacious. (Old) School Hip Hop atmosphere. So REAL Hip Hop. Even as a phone-on-hold tune. The speakers really need replacing now because I hear the music getting softer and softer, and I haven't seen the DJ in a while. Top-notch menu and service. Easily accessible. Thanks in part to the customer-friendliness of top-notch Lars (yesterday), we'll happily come back. So cherish the staff, they can do so much. Proud of you.

Well, the restaurant wanted me to be more precise, so here it is: 1) Very slow — waited two hours for food; 2)the chicken burger was burnt; 3) the service was not very attentive. Simply will not come back, there are better restaurants to spend your cash :)

We had a wonderful evening. We sat upstairs and the service was super friendly. The food is also simply delicious. We had nachos, chicken wings, steak, mac 'n cheese, and mashed potatoes, among other things. The cocktails are fantastic. (Especially the lychee one.) The atmosphere is cozy...and all that in such a large space.

Atmosphere is always nice, and if our waiter did not switch in the middle of our dinner - maybe 5 stars. Came for a birthday dinner, and saw others that also did. Well we had 2 birthdays, and got zero cakes and fountain candles. Small things matter. After you leave many hundreds in for a dinner and feel like meh. Will not return, unless other places will be booked. Weird food set up- if you don’t order any greens - there won’t be any. Some interesting drinks. And ever more and more expensive Photo Booth.

The food was delicious! It was my third time at Cannibale Royale, the steaks were perfectly grilled! I do want to recommend cleaning the tables with a fresh spray. There was a bloody steak juice under my dish, and I asked for it to be wiped away, but the lady who was already working on another table also wiped mine with the same cloth. It smelled awful afterward.

We had dinner at Cannibale Royale Du Nord with four friends, and what a fantastic evening! We felt welcome from the moment we walked in, and the atmosphere was immediately great: informal, cozy, and relaxed. 🍻 The food was truly excellent: the burgers and short ribs were juicy, well-seasoned, and generously sized—exactly what you want on a night out. Everything arrived at the table at the same time, perfect for enjoying together without having to wait. The service also deserves praise. The staff were friendly, attentive, and excellent at helping us with our choices. Drinks were also served promptly. In short: a wonderful evening, lots of laughs, and delicious food. In our opinion, Cannibale Royale Du Nord is the perfect place for a night out with friends; we'll definitely be back!

We come here every time we're in Amsterdam. The food is fantastic, and the service is always friendly and helpful. We especially recommend the garlic broccoli and the brownie for dessert. This restaurant is an absolute must-try!

Great atmosphere, good staff! The food? Meh. I've seen better. The "Garlic Bread" didn't have garlic, and the signature spare ribs I ordered were one of the smallest ribs I've ever eaten! Also, very dark and bitter. No bueno. My neighbor, at the other table, had a considerably better spare rib. The garlic bread without garlic was removed from the bill. Comment on the spare rib (still expensive, too): "I hope you have a better experience next time." ...well... me too.

Yep! Everything they say in the reviews is true. I went there last night to celebrate my 50th birthday, and I'll never go anywhere else again. My thanks and compliments, Cannibale Royale du Nord.

We decided to have dinner here based on a recommendation from acquaintances — for the first and definitely the last time. We dined as a couple and ordered appetizers and two medium-cooked steaks with grilled vegetables. The appetizers were decent, but one of the steaks was served not medium, but completely rare, with a lively stream of blood running out of it. The waitress then took the steak back to the kitchen without much concern about the issue. At a meat restaurant, not being able to cook a standard medium steak is a fiasco, especially at such an overpriced cost. The portions are small; the “grilled vegetables for two” portion is probably meant for two children. The service is nonexistent — no customer focus, no friendliness. Our dinner and evening were ruined. Thank you — now we know exactly where not to go.

The food is good, we had burgers and a shortrib to share. The shortrib is really nice. I had the chicken burger and i think the chicken was a bit too long in the fryer. The coding was a bit blackend and hard instead of crunchy. The service whas good. The food got delivered fast. The place looks nice too, but the tables where spaces pretty compact giving it the appearance of what we would call a "vreet schuur" in Dutch.

Cannibal Royale in Amsterdam North is very nice, and I had a great meal! It's a very warm and spacious atmosphere. The waiters were very friendly and always available. I recommend checking it out!

I visited Cannibale Royale du Nord in Amsterdam. The meat was good quality and well-prepared, although it was a shame the food arrived lukewarm and quickly went cold. I ordered a steak saignant, but they didn't immediately understand, so I had to clarify it as "medium rare." The interior was very nice and atmospheric, a really cool place to sit. The music was quite loud and consisted mainly of rap, which I felt didn't quite fit the vibe. Overall, a nice place, but with some room for improvement in my opinion.

Definitely worth 5 stars. The food was truly delicious! All the meat was very tender and super flavorful, no sauces were needed. The vegetables were also delicious. The crispy and warm brownie with ice cream was the perfect ending.

Yesterday I had dinner here with friends. There's a really nice atmosphere. Despite the crowds—the place was packed—we received our food and drinks quickly, and the staff regularly asked if everything was to our liking and if we needed anything else. The food was very good, and they have a nice selection of beers. Definitely recommended! We had a wonderful evening!

Good food, a bit pricey, but plenty of choice. It's quite a large restaurant, so the staff is constantly on the go. However, they did come by frequently to ask if we wanted something to eat or drink. Very nice. The food is exceptionally delicious. We did order an extra salad and fries, though. Delicious desserts too!

What a fantastic concept! Highly recommended! We first went for a drink nearby. Then we made a reservation here. Unfortunately, as four men, we were put on hold because "four ladies" were preferred. That was a bit disappointing, but apparently, straight men want something too. After that, it was a wonderful evening that completely made up for it. The food was fantastic. Delicious cuts of meat. Super tender and perfectly cooked. This establishment knows how things should be done. The staff, thankfully, don't let annoying, snooty guests get in their way. We had a great time, and the service was quick. We also received good advice on what to eat. The staff's preferences were a good tip. It's a bit more expensive here than usual, but the quality is commendable. We spent an evening here at this concept, and I definitely recommend it. We'll also be dining at other locations in Amsterdam to see and experience what it's like here. Maybe we'll get helped into the queue then... Oh well, I recommend eating here.

Always a safe bet! Service definitely improved since last time I was here. Burger menu reduced to only two options, and fries only as side dish! But in their defense it’s a meat place 🥩 🍖 We were just in a rush and famished. Reserve a bit hard on the phone and website, due to weekend rush, but they always welcome walks in, if you’re polite and patient. Honest prices as always, especially if you keep in mind the quality level. Always tip the guys, they deserve it! They always try their best and keep they cool!😎

We had a wonderful meal here! We accidentally made the wrong reservation (an hour late) but luckily we were still able to eat. We had a delicious steak and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Was out first time at Nord location. What can I say - was a totally positive experience. We had a dinner for three persons there, and was pleasantly surprised by service and overall stuff friendliness. Food was very good, portions are just about right sized. 5/5 and would come back again soon here.

One star. We ordered the simplest drink – just a Coca-Cola. Not a cocktail, not some special alcohol. Just a Coke. And it took them over 50 minutes to bring it. After finishing the starter (tartare), the waiter took away my fork and didn’t bring another one. I had to take a fork from my partner, who didn’t order a starter, just so I could eat my steak — otherwise I would’ve had to eat it with my hands. Meanwhile, the staff kept running upstairs to a small bar area, chatting with each other, sipping wine, and completely ignoring the guests. This is beyond unprofessional. If a restaurant can’t manage to serve a Coke in under an hour and doesn’t even provide proper cutlery, then the service is a complete failure. Absolutely disappointing.

Amazing steak and the cheesecake was perfect

Yum yum yum. It’s a pretty big place, so big groups or dinner with colleagues are fitting here. The restaurant is French inspired. The steak was juicy and flavourful, even a the well done steak was juicy. I recommended getting the sweet potato fries! Moreover, great service.

Overpriced. Very average food. Service ok. Personally, really like the post industria/ arty vibe of the area and the general atmosphere of the venue, but felt ripped off (40 euros for a small burger with 'fries' and 2 x small beers). It's very busy anyway, so if you are going then booking advised.

We live nearby, went there at night today, we sat down and waited 15 mins but no one is serving us, all the staff are either playing with their phone or day dreaming, except the reception lady, we left and will not go back

Delicious food and excellent service. We returned later in the evening to enjoy the steer at the bar. I made a mistake with my reservation, but that wasn't a problem despite it being so busy. Highly recommended; the staff will make sure you have an unforgettable evening.

The service was excellent, with plenty of attention for us as guests. Even though it was busy, incredibly busy, the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. Despite the crowd, we weren't bothered by excessive noise or anything like that. We ordered a delicious piece of bread beforehand. All three of us had steak (le modest) for our main course. The steak tasted good. The pre-ordered doneness wasn't quite right, but it was still a delicious piece of meat. The side fries were ample. There are limited vegetables with the meat, so you'll definitely need to order those as well. Dessert is available, but somewhat limited. The dessert menus are definitely past their prime and could use replacing. Not in terms of content, but simply worn out. It's a good idea to make a reservation in advance.

I've been here before, and the meat was really good. Today, August 23, 2025, I've been here again. The garlic bread was cold when it arrived; the first time, it arrived nice and warm. The meat isn't tender and is dry; they tried to hide it by drizzling a lot of oil over it. I'm still sitting here as I type this. A friend who ate here and I both got sick from the meat. What a difference from the first time I came here. I'm very sad.

The atmosphere was okay and looked nice and cozy. The service was very friendly, but a bit too pushy with the drinks, which I personally don't like. And then the spare ribs, the highlight of our evening, were very mediocre. The meat was overcooked and had a decent amount of flavor. However, the ratio of 60% bone to 40% meat was very poor. The very mediocre fries, which you get for 5 euros, were also out of proportion to the price and what you get. Definitely not going back.

Probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had, such perfect amount of everything and was definitely worth the money. Side dishes and drinks were also very tasty and service was good and fast, would definitely come back here again.

The food was delicious. The service was also very good. It was a bit noisy inside, but the meat was so tasty that it didn't bother me.

The place is very charming and cosy, with a great table layout. The staff is very friendly and takes care of their customers. With regards to the food, it was delicious and very tasty, I completely recommend the 300gr steak and the canibale burger. I ordered an Espresso Martini as dessert, and there is a lot to improve, it has a very coffee watery taste, missing out the right proportion of the cafe liquor. Other than that, 100% recommend and I will go back for sure.

If you ever want to enjoy steak anywhere else, don't go here. You'll be spoiled for other occasions. Brilliant. Really. Brilliant! Great place, good service, ridiculously good food. The chefs are magical.

I have to be honest, I've been coming here for years, and the quality has deteriorated: The chicken isn't recommended; it's too sour and dry. The price-quality ratio of the lobstertail is disappointing. You get a small tail literally swimming in herb butter. The sweet potato fries were burnt and full of oil. The rosemary fries used to be good, and they still had flavor. Now you can't even smell the rosemary anymore. Corn on the cob with vanilla and butter isn't what it used to be either. The vanilla flavor is nowhere to be found, and the quality of their dishes has deteriorated significantly. The steak here is your best option, provided they cook it medium-rare instead of overcooking it, which leaves you chewing. Unfortunately, we had to send it back because the chef overcooked it this time. I also miss the old concept with the garlic sauce and barbecue sauce that came standard. Can this be brought back, please? The brownie with ice cream is delicious, but why are you skimping on everything? Why doesn't it come with whipped cream as standard anymore? Your lamb chops were really great, I think it's a shame you discontinued them. Wagyu is €100, but it's a good piece of meat. It's a shame you don't sell a standard hamburger with ketchup/mayo. Cheesecake is normal. Garlic bread is a nice appetizer, nothing wrong with it. Canibales chicken wings taste like they came from a Lidl package, nothing special. Nachos were okay. If you want to try this place without being disappointed afterward, I would recommend the garlic bread as an appetizer and go for the steak with rosemary fries. I'll give you an update on whether a few things have changed soon. And whether the old habits/concept will return. I used to give it a 10, but now I'm only giving it 1 star because of all the disappointments. Since Jacky left, the staff could use some friendliness training. Pay more attention to the customers instead of touching your hair and clothes, having long conversations with each other, and forgetting to take your order.

€6.90 for overly salty mashed potatoes is absolutely crazy. Moreover, when we made our reservation last night, we were given an unpleasant table in front of the kitchen door, next to the glass and menu gathering area with the cash register, and in the middle where three aisles converge! While the walk-ins before us got a quiet table 🥲 It's a shame that the person in charge of our area didn't cooperate with the host or even do anything to make us comfortable. I would have preferred to sit at the bar and wait for a different spot, as this was truly difficult to enjoy.

Good food, but the service needs improvement Overall, not a bad spot for dinner the food was quite good, and we actually came here twice. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. We were a family of six, and not everyone spoke English fluently. We briefly switched to Russian to clarify the order with our parents, and although it only took a few seconds, we could clearly feel the irritation from the wait staff their disapproving looks were hard to miss. It’s a pity, because the food itself made a good impression. But the attitude from the staff made us feel a bit unwelcome.

Delicious food and fast service. This location in Noord is easily accessible and has plenty of parking. Inside, it's very spacious, and you can also sit outside when the weather is nice. I recommend Le Modeste steak.
