A super cute little restaurant, with a true chef in the kitchen who values ​​flavor and fresh ingredients—you can taste that from the start. The tasting menu is well-structured, and every dish is a feast for your taste buds. This lady conjures up beautiful dishes in her small kitchens. A little tip for inspiration: besides long beans and rotis, Creole cuisine is very broad and diverse. And I think this chef definitely knows how to use that!

We had a wonderful evening at Caribbean Senses in Bussem. The five of us enjoyed a delicious meal, and it felt like we were back in the Caribbean. The hostess prepared a delicious surprise menu with meat and vegetarian options. Everything was prepared by the hostess herself using recipes from her grandmother's kitchen—that's what it was like. It was a potluck, but definitely recommended!

Heerlijk 'stadse' fibe in het Gooi, verademing. Lieve rustige eigenaresse en tevens kok die zich voorstelde als 'ik ben de chef' en ons bediende. Zalige vegetarische roti gegeten, de helft niet opgekregen maar mocht mee naar huis in een bakje en werd nog een extra schepje aan toegevoegd. Alles zelf bereid, incl het kokos ijs toetje dat super smaakte. Ongedwongen sfeer, alsof je bij iemand thuis eet die graag lekker voor jou kookt. Prima prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

Wat een heerlijke Surinaamse keuken, eten 'wat de pot schaft' . We hebben 6 heerlijke gerechten gehad, kippensoep met okra, salade uit eigen tuin met een pastijtje, daarna sate met pindasaus en kommetje met roti, kip, aardappeltje en kousenband. Hierna volgede het hoofdgerecht, gebraden kip met pickels, groente en rijst met bakbanaan. En het toetje was een taartje met custard en een kokossaus (niet te zoet, perfect). De gerechten waren allemaal smaakvol en mooie portie. We waren bang dat na al die lekkernijen het hoofdgerecht te veel zou zijn, maar dat was ook een mooie portie. Perfecte gastvrouw, runt de keuken en heeft ook tijd voor een praatje. Zowel wij als onze kinderen (9&11) hebben heerlijk gegeten, we komen zeker terug.

My son and I recently had a delicious meal at Caribbean senses. There was no menu. But a tasting of all kinds of small snacks that left you wanting more, all the dishes were delicious, and I can definitely recommend it for those who have not been there yet. The woman who cooks is from Surinamese origins and can cook like the best. She makes her masala spices herself and you can taste it!!! we will definitely come back! thanks for the pleasant evening. We arrived without a reservation on a Friday evening at 930pm. There were a couple other tables being used, but they left shortly after we arrived so we had the restaurant to ourselves. There’s no menu, we were just told what was still available that day and all ordered the Roti with chicken. It was DELICIOUS. When we were done we were asked if it was enough and a friend said he could eat more (mostly because it was so good) so he was given more food, on the house. We informed the chef/owner/waitress (she does it all!) it was my birthday and she treated us all to pieces of an incredible caramel cake, on the house. 3 meals, beers and a glass of wine, and desserts and it was incredibly reasonably priced, we were all shocked. Would LOVE to go back next time I’m in Bussum.

Een plek waar je wordt verrast met verschillende smaken. Een 6/7 gangen menu (ik raakte de tel kwijt) waarvan elke gang een verwenning was voor je smaakpapillen. De gastvrouw is mega vriendelijk en allesbehalve gehaast, héérlijk! Tussen de gangen had je voldoende tijd, zodat je neit het gevoel hebt te moeten proppen. Als je ongedwongen uit eten wil raad ik dit zeker aan. Ik kom hier 100% zeker terug.

What a delicious meal we had here! Simple setting but food is really what you would expect at a Carribean Sense. Just whatever you want, but that's no punishment because you get many small dishes that are all really tasty. Delicious herbs used. Service attentive and the owner also comes by to see if everything is to your liking. They will definitely see us again!

Spontaneously stopped because we are always looking for a good Surinamese restaurant in 't Gooi. At home we enjoyed the nasi chicken, noodles, tjauw min, moksi meti and not to forget the roti chicken. All meals were composed with care and with super fresh dishes. The string beans are also delicious! We would love to come back to eat in your restaurant.

The hostess/waitress/cook did it all alone tonight, without stress, took the time for you without you having to wait very long. Afterwards she took the time to chat and share stories. The chef, Olivia, is super kind and she makes your life easier by not providing you a menu but cooking a delicious 5/6 (I lost track) course menu while taking into account dietary restrictions. Here you really come for 100% original Surinamese! The cook/owner makes her own herbs, comes from Suriname, and keeps a close eye on her roots, and you can taste that. You would amputate your left little finger for the roti, it's so delicious 😃👍🏼 the concept; 5 courses without having to choose, and for a very affordable price. Perhaps the interior is not what you expect from a restaurant, but the atmosphere here is created by cooking with heart and soul, and you create the atmosphere yourself!

Heel verrassend gegeten vanavond. Er bleek geen menukaart te zijn, maar er was een proeverij van vier gangen. Met de tussengerechten erbij bleken dat zelfs zes gangen te zijn. En allemaal even lekker. Mijn vrouw heeft aangegeven niet tegen al te pittig te kunnen. Elke gang werd daarom alleen voor haar aangepast en ik kreeg gewoon de pittige versie van het gerecht. Geweldig!! Waar maak je dat nog mee? Ook de bediening was heel leuk, door een jonge man/student. Alleen de entourage/aankleding aan de raamkant mag iets meer sfeer uitstralen.

We hebben er voor de tweede keer gegeten. Het eten is ongelofelijk lekker! Elke gang was een genot. Het begon klein met gehakt balletjes van de chef, en bouwde via een overheerlijke sate zonder stokje op tot een zalige roti. Het eindigde met een lekker, klein puddinkje in caramel zeezout saus. De dames zijn hartelijk en harde werkers die je een werkelijke smaak sensatie voorschotelen.

Heerlijk gegeten! Maar liefst 7 geweldige gangen. Het is een verassing wat je krijgt, maar de kok kwam persoonlijk vragen naar wensen/dingen die je niet lust. Ook had ze tijd voor een gezellig praatje. We hebben genoten en komen zeker nog een keer terug!

Olivia. We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. Je krijgt iets van 5 gangen die per dag verschillen waardoor het een verassing is, maar altijd lekker! Olivia is een hele aardige gastvrouw en de jarige van de groep werd zelfs nog toegezongen in het Surinaams met een fontein in het dessert. Al met al een top avond gehad!

Afgelopen donderdag 29 juni voor het eerst gegeten. Heerlijk gegeten, geen menukaart maar eten wat de pot schaft. Per gang meerdere kleine gerechtjes, maar meer dan voldoende! Goede bediening en zeer vriendelijke eigenaresse. Echt een aanrader!
